Place would have a lot of potential if the owners stepped their game, liquor options, and daily specials... other than a $4.75 happy hour for well drinks. Owners don't give a crap about their bartenders. No health safe fruit storage... even after asking for a new fruit tray. Fruit flies everywhere. They "save trash liners", I was told not to take trash out at end of my shifts, but to dump trash into a bigger trash can, and do not change trash liners. Absolutely disgusting. I used to love working here until i noticed the lack of care around the bar; lack of safety with no bar back, and I was told I can't carry pepper spray, electric maze light or call the cops when there were escalated fights. My regulars started telling me I was being bad mouthed by a fellow bartender. I confronted her and she avoided situation and started paying for the patrons next three rounds and stating "fuck this bitch, she not make any money"... the only English vocabulary she did speak when she isn't completely wasted and speaking nonsense or causing fights between men who want her attention. The owners say ABSOLUTELY no drinking is allowed on duty but this bartender gets so wasted she can't walk off her shift. But they fired a new bartender for taking a shot at the end of her shift. Explain that one to me. Really embarrassing being a part of that environment. Glad I got out of that shit show. read more

Been here a handful of times on different days and times. Place is not managed very well by owners. Seems the seasoned bartenders that work day shifts talk smack on customers as well as their fellow bartenders. My brother, myself and many other customers have become uncomfortable on multiple occasions. Ex. One Friday around 6:45-7pm... bartender with thick accent.. absolutely wasted behind the bar; could hardly walk. She sloppily, proceeded to strip tease and show her private parts while standing on the ice chest. All while our Friday night bartender (whom we come to see weekly) came on shift and was trying to stock the ice chest and get drinks for customers out of ice chest. Then the wasted bartender fell down behind the ice chest, and started a fight with one of the customers who recommended she sober up and go home. Sloppy drunk started pushing, cussing, and shoving customer from behind the bar: "F*** you Bit" "I kill you". Our fave Friday night bartender suggested the slob go home but she refused to listen. Continued yelling and screaming, drunkenly shoved our bartender. That's when myself my brother and most of the other customers got up and left. This is just one occasion. Every time we have been here.. ANYTIME except a Thursday, Friday night or a Sunday night, there has been disrespectful conversation or sloppy occurrences from seasoned bartenders or customers who are not kicked out for being disrespectful or causing fights. Think it is time the bar owners start looking for more professional and respectable bartenders. read more

This one takes the cake for the diviest bar I have ever stepped into. It makes the one across the street from my house look like a lounge from Vegas. The bottled beers were kept in a giant ice chest that reminded me of my liquor store also across the street from my house and the soda mixers were poured from a 99¢ 2 liter bottle from the 99¢ store. Shasta is legit though, so don't sweat it you brand-name-soda-drinkers. Aside from the usual divey charm, the people were nice and kept to themselves. The price for a basic coke and ____ was average. The girl who was bartending was nice and checked up on me too. The seating is sparse and the set up is very interesting. This is highly unlike me to visit once and review, but as a warning I will not be returning. I only went here because I couldn't find Blondies trying to grab a drink before an event in the area. Cash only, ATM inside. Dingy sticky gummy carpet, dark from not having any windows. Poor lighting is probably a good thing so you don't see things you don't want to. 2 Beers on tap and a dozen in bottles. Strong makers and coke. Cheap bottle of Newcastle. The coke was poured from a bottle and not from a speed tap, that's pretty hood and the beers are the real value. The smell reminded me of those old dessert dive bar in Nevada way way way of the strip, a mixture of sweat and cleaner. The bar itself is shapped interesting. A dozen stools around the bar and pool tables in the back. I didn't use the restroom because I had 2 drinks and bounced. They were folding bar towels as I came in. I was digging the internal stained glass hidden window thingy and the old school cash register. Service was a little slow, but nothing bad, just 1 bartender for a HH swing in a pretty empty bar. I was totally used to the Cumbia music blaring as well as the cheesy fluorescent writing on the black board. T-Mobile 4g service was good inside. Parking is limited up front and even more so on the sides and back. Dive and nothing more. I prefer a dive with more variety to stand, sit, maybe a patio, some windows, better tv's, better music, but most importantly beer on tap. The Bar: Located in Orange, on Chapman Avenue across from the local high school. In a strip mall, with a Del Taco within walking distance which is especially nice when wasted. Approaching the bar, there is a single door into a dark room. The bar itself is oddly shaped, sorta like a boomerang. First thing ya notice walking in, is the liquor, conveniently placed near the door to attract the consumer. The Crowd: Well, this night, it was pretty dead inside. We ran into another bartender from Marty's Cocktails out partying with her friends, so we decided to kick it at that end of the bar. As for the rest of the crowd... there were a couple of old dudes at the bar, and a couple on the pool tables.. that was about it. Service: Prompt, but the bar was empty. Prices: From what I can remember, I believe it was $2.75 a bottle for domestic, and $5.50 a shot for Jameson. Entertainment: 2 pool tables, bar top video game, dart board, a few TV's. Restroom: I almost don't need to write about this disgusting area. Look at the picture below. It smelled worse that in looks, if that's even possible. Bartender: Poison pusher for the night was Teri. From what we've heard, she is legen....wait for it....dary. Would not disagree with that statement. Made for a great time. Closing statement: Besides being on a major street with lots of Cops, not too bad. Had a great time, with great people and certainly plan on making a return trip in the near future. read more

3 Stars bc it's the opposite of an upscale or 5 star "Bar", but definitely a 5 star Dive. They have TV's, couple pool tables, pitchers, regulars, drink specials,arcade games, a juke, a cool shaped bar and good cheap drinks. Medium size liquor selection but they have what you need for a good night. Great place to get a ICE cold beer (literally the beer is in a cooler with ice) and a good shot of tequila after work or party on the weekends. Bartenders are super laid back and the formality of a classier NYC bar has faded away into a small town local spot. They have men and women's pool league that plays 2 nights a week, if that interests you. I live in the area and love walking up on weekends and enjoying the eclectic crowd. Somehow everyone fits in. Give it a chance or two. Open Noon-2am most nights. Early on Sunday football mornings. Perks: Close to Del Taco & Dk's doughnuts (for those beer munchies) One of the only bars that sells hard liquor on this side of the 55 fwy. Sweet vintage cigarette machine that works. For years my friends have had a misplaced, undying, loyalty to this depressing dive for many years, and no one knows why. Their nickname for Signal Lounge is "Siggy Sorrows", because of all the sad, dilapidated, souls that dwell within this sarcophagus of shame. The funny thing is that this nickname does not do justice to actual locations that give you sorrow, like the DMV or your mother-in-law's house. Signal Lounge is the bottom of the barrel of all dive bars, and not in that good way. Everyone loves their local dumpy, dive bar...but this raises the bar on depression. If your looking for local girls to meet, than the most you can look forward to is a few biker mommas yelling the words to songs through their three teeth. Look forward to your choice from the hall of shame specimens of the opposite sex if that's your goal. They got a 1970's 12" T.V., and a narrow selection of $5 beers from the cooler. Tap beer...please. If you can grab a pool table and abstain from the sad souls wallowing at the bar, there is a nice breeze of cigarette smoke and chinese food diarrhea that burn your nose hairs off while you contemplate suicide. The juke box has awesome songs from Lady Gaga and Toby Keith that make you want to tear your ears off Van Gogh style with a broken beer bottle. Even after your ears have been removed, you will still be able to hear the meth addict, grandma shrieking at the bar "P-p-p-poker face, p-p-p-poker face". Awesome time, right! Go to Blondie's, the Fling, O'hara's or Paul's if you want a cool dive in Orange. There are two redeeming factors that make Signal a decent place. The other good thing about Signal is that when you leave, you feel the filth of shame peel off your skin, in which you are born anew and swear to never subjugate yourself to the sorrows of Signal Lounge again. After you peel off the last dead skin, go to DK doughnuts next door for an epic doughnut. Signals is a dive however it's a blast if you are looking for some cheap cocktails east of the 55. Bring a small group and you won't have to wait 15 mins in line in a packed bar for a drink.
