This is a good place to listen to live music, dance and hang out. No cover which is nice. They serve food, menu is limited. The steak sandwich with fried zucchini was excellent! We also got the sliders which were delicious. Suggest getting there early to secure a table. There were a few drawbacks that warrant mentioning. They had no hard Seltzers, they claimed they were busy the week prior and ran out.... Ok??? This was odd to me. Also, they would not make a Mocktail, which was unusual. Bartenders would not provide guests with a cup of water, only option was to purchase a bottle of water. Ladies bathroom sinks were clogged. I went there 2x in the month of Febuary 2025 to find out that they are closed. Their is a small notice on the door stating "CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE" Its a shame. Was supposed to be karaoke night and I'd never been there before but it's right down the way from work so I thought I would stop to grab a bite to eat and take part in karaoke that started at 7:30pm. Well there was only a few people there, and no karaoke going on. :-( plus the kitchen closes at 8:30 which was when I got there. Who closes a kitchen that early? Hmm... my original review was deleted, which is never good. The second time around is never as forgiving. For a place to watch a Steelers game, there's probably no better place to be, as it is billed as the largest Steelers bar on the West Coast. For a place to grab a drink before or after the race track across the street, it's a no-brainer. For win, for place, fo sho! For a place to go Fridays or Saturday nights, it's cool that they have live music, and that the place is dark, and they seem to provide enough servers (who are often slammed), but be warned the crowd is mostly in their 50s, yet still having a meat market vibe. It's the kind of place you'd find your friend's recently divorced dad and so many cougars I thought I saw Nat Geo filming. For a place to have a private party, I've held my 25th and 30th high school reunions here, partly because even at 48 we're "the kids" there. The first time was free, the second time we paid a $200 deposit, but that all went toward banquet food, almost too much deliciously bad-for-you food. Whether the air conditioning was deliberately off or not, it was intolerable, even though they provided six fans, pitchers of water, and maybe half a dozen free pitchers. I went to listen to one of My favorite bands B.I.G on Friday and encountered a disappointing experience. I order my first drink from the bar; which was JW Black on the rocks & it was cool. I then grab a table and order from a waitress the same drink and chicken fingers with fries. The waitress brought me a talk glass of whiskey & water looking like watered down ginger ale. I repeated my request to her and she took the drink back. Shortly afterward, the manager came over and rudely said "he did not want to hear my side, he could no longer serve me cocktails because I didn't like the way they pour and he can not afford to waist alcohol." I was like Wtf!! I was offended and disappointed because it fell like I was being ask to leave . I don't recommend this place for drinks or food, food was cheap/nasty and service/ management horrible. No customer satisfaction policy in place!! This place was a good time on a Friday night out with friends & family! We arrived around 8-830, and they had karaoke. A live band and dj began shortly after. The band was great (I can't recall the name, sorry) they played everything from Motown, Funk to Top 40. The crowd was 30 and over, it didn't get to crowded. My cousin called a few days in advance to reserve a table-free of charge. However, certain areas that provide seating for a bigger party, do require some type of drink minimum. We had a waitress that always came by to make sure our delicious drinks were kept. It has a dive bar feel, but well kept, the restrooms were extremely clean and roomy! The new owners are doing an amazing job!! They have new flat screens everywhere, and are replacing the 2 projectors with new projectors... They have new furniture, and they're working on jazzing up the menu, repainting the place, and all kinds of great stuff... The staff is GREAT!! They've all been so happy and friendly, and are great at what they do... (Jenny and Linda are my favorites so far- ask for their section!!) When the Steelers play it's so much fun there- so many "real" fans, and they do give-aways, raffle tickets, and specials. Definitely a must if you're a Steelers fan!! read more

This place is the center of STEELER NATION in Southern California! I was staying in Buena Park for a class and searched for a Steeler bar to watch the steeler game and this was the first place that came up. Everyone was wearing a jersey and they were all very friendly. One guy was wearing a Pats jersey and nobody said anything negative to him, I was surprised at the respect and class displayed by the Steeler fans in there. As a native of Pittsburgh, I felt like I was in Pittsburgh (without the cold). The service was great and the bartender Emily was awesome! I had a bacon cheeseburger with some fries that were pretty good, nothing spectacular, but it was cheap and very filling. I will definitely be making this a regular stop when I'm in the area. Tuesdays is the day if you're looking for a hilarious comedy show. Also, every Tuesday nights when they have their comedy show they have dollar raffles so if you get called you win the whole pot. I've won it once and it paid for the whole night. lucky for me there was a lot of people that played that day. This place was really impressive. From the outside it appears to be your typical divebar feeding off the left overs of the race track down the street. But my jaw absolutely dropped when I walked in. This place is HUGE. With 3 bars, a 25 ft stage with crazy lights, big ass dance floor, and a killer sound system. I felt like I was at a $20+ cover night club but I was right here in good ol Los Alamitos and they dont charge a cover. My experience didnt stop there... The drinks were quite tasty and the bartender(easy on the eyes i might add) pored heavy. Again, its not even funny how impressed I was. I found out that they are under new ownership as of a few years ago and the new owners are young and hip to what a bar/venue should look like. My advice... Starting gate is a cool bar/dancing club. I went with some friends but saturday nights is a 50-70 crowd and over type of dancing which is a bit to old for me. It is a good club i guess on the right nights! I hear the breakfast is amazing. I ended up getting buffalo wings which were OK nothing special i can remember. The drinks are good, waitress service was good. This is a straight pittsburgh steelers bar so if you wear anything else well they will get on you! lol You will have to get here early for a good seat for football games! This review is for a Tuesday comedy night. I went with a friend who said she had a great time the week before. Apparently the comics that night were worth the 2 drink minimum. Not so this night. None of the comics were good. They all had basically the same material (fat jokes, redneck humor, prison talk, how hard it is to get laid--one guy talked about a near death experience). It was either all cliche or just not origional. They all had moments but overall it was disappointing. The MC is just not a good comedian. I get that he shouldn't upstage the talent and all, but he doesn't even have a good sense of humor. Perpetual innuendo and the same basic joke over and over just doesn't cut it. My opinion is neutral because I think the organizer has a big heart. The night I went he was collecting money for someone's funeral. This show happens with rhe best of intentions but it really isnt executed well. My review is neutral. read more
