After we closed out, he even went as far as asking if we were there before dinner or just chillin and we said before dinner. But our absolute favorite drink was the Nutty Chi Chi, a vodka blend on a classic Piña Colada! They don't serve food themselves but there is a taco stand out back after ~6pm that takes cash + card (card fee!) and will drop off food to your table. But, one must always try to lean toward optimism and avoid the bottomless pit of despair. So, on the bright side I was about a hundred feet from Hank's Bar. Familiar and comforting like a kind neighbor from a forgotten time.... the 80's or 90's. This neighbor was not always home when you knocked on their door. But when they were home they welcomed you with open arms, making you feel better and safer. Sometimes they even offered you food. Well Hank's and this "long-ago" neighbor are one and the same. Hank's isn't always open when you need them but when they are the drinks are stiff, the company is fascinating and oddly comforting. And if you're lucky there are hotdogs and popcorn available free of charge. Besides, we're neighbors and sometimes neighbors share. Stay positive and curious my friends....

Watching others get served while we were repeatedly refused, despite being respectful customers, made the situation feel discriminatory. As Latino customers in a predominantly Latino community, the behavior came across as biased and unacceptable. It's extremely disappointing because I've supported this place for nearly a decade and had never experienced anything like this before. Unfortunately, this interaction completely changed my view of this establishment. I would not recommend coming here if respectful and fair service matters to you.
