*According to Yelp, Jimmy Bones still has pool tables. This is incorrect. They have gotten rid of the pool table(s). Stopped in for a Bloody Mary on Sunday. On Sundays they have a $5 special on Bloody Marys with 2 garnishes of your choice. (celery with salami, pickled egg, salami & olives) Our Bloody Marys were so strong that I had to pour in a lot of Tabasco just to mask the straight vodka flavor. This could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on who you are haha. They also have $5 shot specials for Watermelon Kamikazes, Cactus Cooler shot, and Jaeger shot. ($6 if you want a Jaeger bomb) Not my favorite dive due to the pool table being gone, but I'd still come back. read more

Cleanest dive bar in Orange County, no it really is. White sangria is what I look forward to. Love how you can get a bunch of sports on at one time and not have a problem with people wanting to watch different games. It may be a small bar but the patrons are super cool and nice, which makes you feel welcomed even if it's not your home bar. PS: the nachos are good read more

I think after reading the reviews on here and the way the people standing outside for a smoke behaved, I'll give it a miss. I just got a tattoo and had a big black bandage on my upper back and shoulders. I walked briskly past a man and two women. They hysterically laughed as I was walking past them to get to Fresh and Easy. I was basically minding my own business, causing no trouble. I didn't see what was so funny. Maybe they don't like redheads with tattoos. I don't know. They do not seem very nice. Especially after reading more posts before mine. If I had a bar, I'd try my best to make it seem friendly and create an atmosphere where the guests would be happy. read more

Why is this place so bright? Seriously, it's like the 4th of July in there, minus the festivities. Bartenders are pretty nice, but it is quite the clique neighborhood bar. Since I am such a big fan of dive bars I was really excited to check out Jimmy Bones on my most recent visit to Orange. I have to say that I am now a Jimmy Bones fan! Upon arriving we were greeted by a cute and very friendly bartender. Drinks were served up quickly and the bar had a great vibe. I could tell that people were stopping in after a long work week and enjoying their happy hour beers (we had stopped in on a Friday night). For those that have not yet visited this bar, there is an added bonus in the restrooms. They are wallpapered with eye candy! Definitely worth checking out and I know I will be stopping by for a cold one on my next visit to Orange! read more

Ok, I told my friends that I will start documenting the dive bars we have visited. Many years ago, this used to be JJs Bar and a dark small bar where a buddy of mine garage band played a set. Well, well, well this is now call Jimmy Bones. Filled with nice locals, my friend Jeff a local or a loco invited me over for a Sunday afternoon football games. The people I met were very friendly and to my surprise they have food specials either on the warmer or crockpot. I stumbled on a creamy, cheesy potato soup which I have to admit was fantastic. Found this place on accident a few years ago and have been coming ever since. So. Cal.'s answer to the "Cheers" bar. Small quaint place where they really do know your name. Met many good people (yeah, you, Tamara J.). Can get a little crowded Friday and sat nites but thats half the fun! Bartender Matt is 'da bomb!! Great place to watch the game (any game!) This is a really good pub. It's family owned and operated and has a full bar with reasonable prices. I really like the food that Mrs. Bones brings in sometimes too. They don't normally have food so it's a good idea to call first and see what they may have on the table. Sometimes it's free or a very small fee. They are also open on most major holidays. read more

Can't say enough great things about nicole and the staff!!! I threw an amaziiing 80's themed birthday bash a few weeks back and they were more than accommodating to such an odd request!!! The bar was decorated to the T, 80's music blasting, and even staff members joined in the fun by dressing up!! Not to mention nicole set up an exclusive drink menu for my party with drink names that went with my theme...such a unique party could never have been successful without the one of a kind hospitality my guests and I were shown!!! Jimmy Bones is a fun-for-all bar that I'd recommend to anyone who loves strong drinks, a good atmosphere, and friendly service. The people I've met there have been nothing but nice. Jimmy Bones ia an awesome place to grab a couple drinks. If u know what ur getting into, then u will have a great time. My husband and I are in our mid to late 20's but over the crowded loud bars. So we like this atmosphere. Usually there are a lot of older people who like to get pretty drunk. It's very entertaining. Everyone is always friendly, the drinks are stiff, and the beer is pretty cheap. No complaints here! read more

My sister had her birthday party here at Jimmy Bones a few days ago. The staff was EXTREMELY nice, helpful, and very accommodating. This is a great place to grab a good priced beer or a very well poured cocktail. Every day has drink specials of some sort. It is a local type bar which isn't a bad thing. Not sure why anyone would complain about a heavy pour like I saw in other posts... But there are several TV's to watch games and a jukebox to throw on some tunes. The bartenders are really friendly and are attentive. Every time I've been there and not sat at the bar they come out and introduce themselves.
