Cool little dive behind the diner

What a unique bar. Homestyle dinner with a slightly trendy/ slightly divey bar connected to it. I loved the graffiti art on the wall. You can order all your favorite deli and diner classics to eat, and they even have happy hour specials. Our bartender was friendly and fun. If this place wasn't so far from my house, I would go more often.

Nice to host Orange County Dodgers Fans for Game of NLCS. I like the atmosphere! We just order some drinks and appetizers, bar staff is very friendly and helpful!

The service was outstanding--attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. What makes this place special is that there's no traditional cocktail menu. When making reservations a $25 deposit is required per person but will be applied to your bill day of visit. The hostess was very kind upon check in and took us to the back where the 46 door is. She provided us a code and explained the time limit along with house rules. We were then told to knock on the door and proceed with the experience. Kudos to the owner as this is the only speakeasy in the OC that has a true speakeasy feel entrance. They had a gentleman open the peephole and ask for the entry code. Once we said the code we entered a really cool mine shaft area. The attention to detail was on point and I was impressed! We were then taken upstairs to a private bar where there are four tables of four so a max of 16. This makes sense as to why reservations are hard to come by. The only ding about seating is you are sat with strangers it is not a private table. Luckily we had a fun older couple at our table so it made the conversation more lively. Otherwise don't go here with an expectation of an intimate/ private date night. They also offer a limited food menu but looked very promising. However, we were here for a night cap so just dabbled in drinks. The bartender had a seasonal menu of 4 cocktails he created. He explained the drinks and then had us try each one with a straw. We then placed our order based on what we liked. He did say if we were not a fan he could create us our own personal cocktail as well. The old fashion he created was phenomenal! Overall, a cool little spot in the OC. Do wish they were open later as they do close at 11pm on Friday and Saturday.

The service was exceptional from start to finish. It truly felt like everyone worked together to create a great experience. As for the food, yum... Brunch was unexpectedly delicious. And the jalapeño avocado crema, which I was honestly hesitant to try, ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal. It was creamy, flavorful, and had just the right amount of kick. The ambiance, food, and customer service were all outstanding. I may have to come back another time for those famous short ribs, but this brunch experience exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend

Both exterior and interior look like a 1930s train station. We sat in a booth and enjoyed great food and quintessential service. I ordered the Irish French Toast. This was in the top tier of French Toasts I've ever had. The thick, battered Texas Toast had a delicate interior with a bit of powdered sugar on top. The two large pieces were surrounded by banana slices. The syrup was a house-made Jameson Irish Whiskey Sauce. Incredible. I was in breakfast nirvana from the first bite. This dish came with a side of eggs and choice of meat (I went with scrambled eggs and bacon), both of which were excellent tho nothing fancy. I also swiped a beignet from my dining companion's plate. This fat pastry was the best beignet I've ever had, so pillowy soft! Come here for a great meal surrounded by a cool, train-themed atmosphere.

He made us feel welcomed as it was our first time coming here. By we I mean my self and three friends as well. He took our orders mentally. That was impressive! And got every order correct. He knew his menu items. I ordered a hot coffee (refills available) and the garden omelette. Instead of their bakery it's chi ie of beignets or a muffin, I opted for sourdough toast. Delicious! I took some leftovers home. For what I paid for it, I think it was reasonably priced. We did come for breakfast. Around this time it's not overly packed and we came on memorial weekend. As we headed out close to noon, lunch hour is where people will begin to pour in. We saw trains pass by periodically but it wasn't bothersome. I can't wait to come back.

If you are going there for lunch, I highly recommend you get the burger off the menu. I am not kidding. It is one of the best tasting hamburgers I've had in a very long time. They cook it perfectly and their french fries are seasoned to perfection. Wait staff is top-notch, they definitely take care of your table while not hovering over you. The tuna and toppings were okay but the crispy rice tasted like fried fair food almost with the texture of a rice cake. Hopefully, their other dishes are better. For drinks, the waiter helped select the Banana Batida for me which was very lovely! I love how customized the recommendations were. My partner ordered a rum drink which he enjoyed as well. We finished off with a brownie dessert. I really enjoyed the passion fruit puree and kiwi topping. The brownie tasted good but was very dense which isn't my preference. Overall, would recommend.
