Turcs is a super friendly neighborhood bar. The owner Bob and all of the employees are absolutely Dynamite Jeri, Snow, Jamie and Kyle are all excellent bartenders that will give you friendly service with a smile. All the customers are super friendly and totally cool. So come on down and check out the Good Vibes, music and drink at my favorite bar Turcs

Turcs is a wonderful bar with plenty to offer. Pool tables, Jenga, and of course booze. Snow, Jeri, and Kyle are the most genuine bartenders. The Patio outside is such a great addition. Definitely would recommend their shifts.

I bartend and love a good dive bar! This place is so cute with their saltwater aquariums and pool tables. Who could ask for more? Well.. Kyle will give you more. Great service, beautiful smile and gorgeous spirit. He will make your heart smile. Get a beer from Kyle, it will be blessed from the kiss of gods and no hangover the next day. It's trippy and real. God bless Kyle. Thank you Turcs!

It's divey, it's old. It's empty or super busy. It is an amazing dive bar and we can never drive past this place without popping in and grabbing a few cold ones. Pick your drink. Pick your music. Sit down and enjoy a good old American beach bar.

I love Turcs. Though not large, it's a very chill place. Enter off PCH in the corner of the building. The first room is small with low tables and a fireplace to the left, a ledge with barstools on the right, and the bar in the back. The bar has a wooden bar top with a rail to rest your forearms and a round footrest. Round padded, immovable barstools carved like tikis sit in front of the bar. They have a great back bar with one small tv and two beautiful fish tanks. The backroom has two pool tables and was packed on a Wednesday at 4pm. There is a small patio on the side of the front room accessible through the pool room. Being in the front room feels like you are in a small hut, supporting the bar's tiki theme. The atmosphere is very comfortable with lots of regulars and super friendly service. They play great music and nearly played an entire Alice cooper album (that is a good thing). Dealing with COVID by selling a $2 slice of pizza with any order seems fair to me. Plan to visit Turcs anytime I'm in the area.

Cozy place. The sunset beach area is very chill and mellow. The staff were friendly. Had an Irish Whiskey with ginger ale and orange zest.

Seems like a good mix of some locals and just random people popping in to play some pool. Also, good location and plenty of parking as its in a big shopping center near a Stater Bros. Good place to stop and have a cold one and have some very lovely bartenders to look at as well.

It was a Thursday when I walked in, and they had karaoke! The bartender Britlyn was singing and she has the voice of an American idol superstar! She would have gave Kelly Clarkson a run for her money! She was singing, taking care of all of her customers and closing out tabs all at once! This place has two pool tables, and is a beer and seltzer place only. They sell chips if you want something to snack on. Everyone at that bar was just good vibes. I was having such a good time I completely forgot about my ice cream and it melted. I'll definitely be back! Specially to hear Britlyn sing again!

The Shanghai'd Room in Huntington Beach has been my home away from home for the past two years,…read morelargely because of two absolute standouts: Byron and Meow. Let's start with Byron, because every great night out deserves a great bouncer. Byron is calm, observant, proactive, and genuinely invested in keeping people safe. He handles situations before they turn messy, all while remaining cool, approachable, and respectful. You feel protected without feeling policed -- which is exactly how it should be. Plus, he's great to talk to, and I've enjoyed every interaction I've had with him. Now for the real star of the show: Meow (aka Marissa). I adore this woman. She's sweet, hilarious, quick-witted, intelligent, beautiful, and makes incredible drinks. She is the reason I keep coming back -- and the reason many of my friends are loyal regulars week after week. She somehow manages to make a packed bar feel like your living room. Here's the funny part: I don't even drink much. Half the time I'm ordering a Diet Coke -- and still tipping like I ordered a craft cocktail, because Meow deserves it. I say that as someone who worked through college in hospitality and bartended high-volume places like TGI Friday's, massive events at the Long Beach Convention Center (yes, including the Grand Prix and concerts), and even managed bar service at an upscale steakhouse. Bartending takes multitasking, people-reading skills, awareness, organization, and discernment. Meow has all of it. She hustles, she remembers people, and she runs that bar like a pro. And when she sings? Goosebumps. Every. Single. Time. That said, in the spirit of honesty, I did have one unfortunate experience here involving another patron. On two separate occasions, a woman I didn't know decided I was somehow a threat to her relationship (despite me having exchanged nothing more than polite hellos with her boyfriend). The second encounter escalated into her grabbing and pinching my arm and physically turning me around to confront me. Not exactly the vibe. I reported the incident to another security staff member (Peter), but unfortunately nothing came of it, and the situation wasn't addressed. I ended up handling it myself and disengaging -- which, ironically, led to her following me outside to continue the interrogation. Not ideal. Because of a few moments like this, I'd gently recommend being cautious about giving out phone numbers here -- social media is a safer bet. That said, when the right staff are on, this place truly shines. I still bring friends and family here when they're in town, and they're always impressed. At the end of the day, Byron and Meow are the heart of Shanghai'd. Their professionalism, integrity, warmth, and competence are the reason I've stayed loyal and continue to return. They set the standard -- and they absolutely deserve the recognition.
