    Nawlins bbq shrimp

Came here for dinner. This place has always been impeccably clean and the staff friendly and helpful. We started with calamari and an oyster flight. For entrees, we got lobster roll and nawlins bbq shrimp, Calamari- Served hot and fresh. The breading is crisp and tasty with a soft and chewy interior. The aioli and tartar sauce on the side enhances every bite. Oyster Flight- The oysters are so fresh and meaty! Each type has a unique flavor and you get a variety of condiments and sauces to go wih it. Lobster Roll- I got this maine style which is cold with mayo. The lobster is fresh and juicy and the sauce elevates the flavors without overpowering it. The roll is warm and buttery and the fries are perfectly crisp. Nawlins Bbq Shrimp- This is a sweet and tangy dish! The shrimpis juicy and the sauce tickles the tastebuds. Served with fluffy rice and a side of garlic bread. Great experience overall!

I wasn't going to do a review since it hasn't been long since the previous one, but this was delicious! Service was good as usual and the weather was beautiful so we chose to sit outside. We noticed that they had a lobster boil on the menu and decided to order it. This was absolutely delicious! The lobster was perfectly cooked and meaty with an amazing flavor! Everything in it was tasty and don't regret giving it a chance. We also decided to order a different dessert than the usual (key lime) and went for the bread pudding. It was really good with barely any raisins, just the way I like it.

My friend took me here for my birthday 12/14/25. The LA Rams were hosting the Detroit Lions so I requested a table close to a TV to watch the game. The host abided and sat us where we had a TV to ourselves and switch to the Rams/Lions game. We were approached by our waitress who took our drink orders. As for appetizers we chose a half dozen variety oysters. Which were good I don't remember which oysters I had. But I would get them again. As for my main course I chose macadamia crusted halibut with mac and cheese and mash potatoes for my sides. And for dessert we did the key lime pie and butter cake which were both delicious. It was my first time here and both service and food were excellent. I would return and recommend.

Long-time diner, first-time reviewer. This place has become a special spot for us - it's where we had our very first date, so I thought it'd be meaningful to come back a year later for our anniversary. They also went out of their way to seat us at the same table where we sat a year ago upon our request! They are so sweet for doing that! I had added a little note in my OpenTable reservation just to see if they'd acknowledge it, and they did! They surprised us with a complimentary anniversary dessert - a generous portion of bread pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream (forgot to take a picture!) - which definitely earned major brownie points! The bread and butter here are always a hit - freshly baked, hot, and perfectly crunchy every time. My go-to entrée is always the Chilean Seabass. They make it perfect here - flaky and "stringy", and seasoned just right. They offer it two ways: Miso Yaki (my favorite) which is sweet and saucy with veggies, and Wild Ross, which is grilled and a bit on the drier side. We ordered both tonight, and they were solid dishes all around. I'll admit the price is steep at $44 each, but they're consistently delicious. Overall, we had a great experience - both the food and service delivered. We'll definitely keep coming back.

Kings fish house is part of the Watergrill family with a fraction of the price. They have no corkage and their seafood tower is pretty decent. It's not as up to par as Watergrill but for the price point. It's pretty legit. They have great appetizer options and fish dishes that include 2 sides.

Great ambience and great seafood house for hanging out with full bar drinks. This location is big and is capable to hold big party. I had: 1. Dozen of oysters 2. Filet and lobster tail 3. Chilean seabass with asparagus and brussel sprouts

I took my family to King's Fish House and am happy to say our seafood cravings were well satisfied! This restaurant offers a nice, diverse menu of options in a comfortable sit-down environment. This is a nice spot for families, big groups, or to take a date. The staff have always been friendly, and the food is prompt. *House Bread: I'm a big fan of house bread, and this restaurant has one of my favorites because it's sourdough. It came to our table warm, fresh, and with that classic sourdough taste present. We actually ended up asking for a second loaf since we ate it so quickly. *Clam Chowder: A classic seafood soup. There are bits of clam and potatoes throughout, no complaints here. *Crispy Calamari: The plating made it seem like the serving size was on the smaller end. Quantity-wise no one mentioned it, so I wonder if it's just how it appeared or if this is the standard size. I like that the calamari breading is thin and doesn't drown the calamari. The breading is seasoned well, and the dish was crispy. *Grilled Shrimp with Corn: The shrimp were large, cooked well, and tasty. They give a decent number of jumbo-sized shrimp (about six). The corn sides (my younger brother insisted on ordering corn twice instead of two different sides this time) were grilled and seasoned, so at least it was delicious to eat and didn't taste tinny or canned. *Chilean Miso Sea Bass: The fish was tender and flavorful! The miso is strong in this dish and on the thicker end, and it pairs well with jasmine rice to temper it. I appreciate that the cut of fish was large and there were plenty of mushrooms in the sauce. It's on the pricier end of the menu, but in a range that's common for sea bass dishes overall. Due to the size, it's a good shareable in my opinion. Overall, this is a great spot for seafood. I also haven't had any issues with parking. It's part of a larger plaza that has a movie theater, but there's side parking right next to the restaurant.

Over the years, Kings has become one of my favorite restaurants. The sand dabs are my favorite dish. I love the lemon and caper sauce and the fish is coated with just the right amount of crunchy parmesan. The garlic spinach is fantastic. I also enjoy the mashed potatoes. The bread and butter is wonderful. My husband and I also like to share the garlic edamame and some cold shrimp on ice. The edamame packs quite a garlic punch. The ambiance is romantic but also a great place to have dinner with a friend. I brought a friend here this past week. The service is also great. I absolutely love this place.

Seldom does one find an eatery that combines excellent food, ambiance, and service so flawlessly. King's Fish House is such an eatery. Fresh sea food is a welcome constant with the added benefit of a skilled cook staff able to prepare off- menu upon request. King's has been a reliable staple for our family for many years, and an eagerly welcomed respite from mediocre dining.

Ambience was outstanding, I went on a Saturday At 12 noon. Great time to go, no wait at all. The parking lot is huge. The server was outstanding. Very informative and helpful. The food was delicious and very shareable. I ordered the buffalo wings as an appetizer and the lobster roll with fries and my friend ordered the same. Everything was delicious and piping hot.10/10

Service was really slow. Typically wheat people depend on tips and you're gonna get tips based on selling more. We never got asked if we needed another drink we had to ask for another. My husband ordered the oysters, which is a mix of different kinds and love them. Clam chowder was pretty good. Then all down hill from there. I had the macadamia crusted halibut which was completely overcooked, possibly a bit freezer burned. I love spinach, but theirs was so bland. Hubby had the Louie. The worst ever. Co many carrot chunks, onions , celery, and a small amount of tasteless shrimp. Thankfully we were not charged for either entree.

We attended a special Chartreuse tasting event at Strong Water which was being held in honor of…read moreChartreuse week and Chartreuse Day 1605 (May 16), the annual celebration of Chartreuse's origins and history. The tasting featured a great lineup of green and yellow Chartreuse paired with small bites. It concluded with a complementary Chartreuse-based cocktail from one of five recipes. Brand ambassador Taylor guided the event and began by telling us about the unique history of Chartreuse. The tasting started out with a small spoonful of Vegetal Elixir Chartreuse to warm up the palate. This is the base spirit of both green and yellow Chartreuse and clocks in at 138 proof. It was surprisingly not harsh, but immediately kicked my salivary glands into overdrive. I didn't even know that vintages of Chartreuse was a thing, but Taylor walked us through tasting three different vintages of both yellow and green Chartreuse, and it was surprising how different they were. The lineup concluded with more rare varietals of the green elixir 1605 and yellow cuvee. Great job, thanks Taylor! Chef Kling presented each small bite which included a crispy Icelandic cod, a roasted beet crostino, and a lamb slider. All of them had a five star list of ingredients and were delicious. Strong Water is known for their excellent cocktails, but their food is also great. For my cocktail at the end of the event, I had the Bar Flower (Green Chartreuse, Crème de Cacao, Pineapple, Lime). This was so good, with the herbal and chocolate flavors perfectly balanced. It was served with a flaming lime half. This was such a great event! Chartreuse retails for around $100 a bottle, and the higher-end varieties cost even more. At just $45 per person, this event was an amazing bargain. Strong Water frequently hosts great events, so keep an eye on their social media for upcoming dates. I really love Chartreuse, so I went back a few days later on the last day of Chartreuse week to try a few of the other limited time cocktails. I started out with their twist on a Grasshopper (Chartreuse, Crème de Menthe, Chili Liqueur, Crème de Cacao, Cream, Cane, $22). This was a great classic Grasshopper, but the Chartreuse added a herbal complexity, and there is a dash of heat on the finish from the chili liqueur. Next I had the Flare Gun (Yellow Chartreuse, Overproof Rum, Italian Bitter, Lime, Cane, $20). The yellow Chartreuse definitely comes through, but it's softer and has a light sweetness, unlike the green variety. Even though it contains overproof rum, it is perfectly balanced and not boozy at all. I usually don't like bitter drinks, but the bitterness was at a perfect light level. I finished off with the Tales from the Black Lagoon which is my favorite drink here, and it's also a favorite of many of the bartenders. All three cocktails were a home run. Chartreuse is an expensive spirit, so those drinks cost a little more than average. Shout out to Karen, Joey, Edgar, Jordan, and Ying for excellent hospitality, as always. Strong Water is our favorite place. We can't wait to go back!

It has this dark but classy aesthetic and I was not prepared for that (in a good way). This restaurant has been here for about 2 years with different ownership and menu so I was excited to see what they had to offer. Hugo helped us with our order and he was very friendly and professional. We went ahead and ordered the ahi tuna taco, pork belly bao, garlic fries, the margharita pizza, the yuzu lobster pasta, and for drinks I got the virgin burning thyme. My friend got that and other drinks as well. Ahi tuna taco - 5/5 probably the best food item for the evening. The tuna was fresh, perfect amount of kick in its sauce, and the outter shell was perfectly crunchy. I think them replacing the shell with wonton was exceptional with the texture. Every bite was extremely satisfying. Pork Belly bao - 4/5 everything was delicious. The bow itself is bouncy and moist. There wasn't anything special about the sauce inside with the pork belly, but I would definitely give it a try at least once. A great portion with your friends or family as an appetizer. Garlic fries - 3/5 It was a bit underwhelming, but nothing horrible. I could not taste the garlic at all, but the fries itself was cooked to perfection with the outer being pretty crispy and inside being soft. Margharita pizza - 4/5 I really like the crust and the breading of this pizza. It was crispy and the pepperoni was cooked to perfection. I really like the small pepperoni because it gives an immense amount of flavor in each bite. The cheese and the tomato sauce was fine, but nothing special. Yuzu lobster pasta - 4/5 I wish I was able to taste more of the Yuzu since that's in the name of the dish, but I could not. If it was just called the lobster pasta I would say it's amazing. The tomatoes were perfect to lighten the entire dish with the heavy sauce and the pasta. The lobster was cooked fine. Other than that it was fine, but I would say either enhance the Yuzu flavor or remove it in the name of the dish. Burning thyme - 4.5/5 I really like the acid and the balance of sweetness and sour in this drink. Usually, I get skeptical when I make an alcoholic drink version because the bartender tends to over sweeten the drink, but this was not the case, and I enjoyed it a lot with our food.

We arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening and we were bummed that it was packed full inside. We decided to go have a drink upstairs, and then come back down later to see if it was any less busy. There must have been one big group who left because 30 minutes later, it was completely empty inside. There are a few wood tables outside of the entrance and several two seat tables along the outside of the side of the train, but for a first visit we definitely wanted to be inside. When you come inside at BXCR, there are two long green couches along each side that wrap around to the entrance to maximize available space. There are two steamer trunks on each side that serve as tables. We were surprised that all of the tables had a Yahtzee game on them, and we had a blast playing that while we enjoyed our drinks. If you happen to roll a Yahtzee, they give you a candle as a prize. There is good background music playing that fits the environment. There is some good décor with overhead baggage racks and international clocks on one wall, and gauges on the wall next to the bar. There are some small rectangular windows along the top of both sides, and some curtained windows on the right side which do let a little light in. When the main entrance door is opened before its dark outside, it does let quite a bit of light in and kills the ambience temporarily. I would recommend coming closer to or after sunset to not let any outside sunlight interfere with your experience. The drinks are made at the bar in the rear where there are several seats and a little standing room. It wasn't on the current menu, but I saw on a previous menu they had an Amaretto Sour so I started with that, and it did not disappoint. It was nice and frothy from an egg white and had Angostura bitters on top. My girlfriend started with the Calm Cruise which was great. It's basically a Pina Colada, but with an additional honeydew flavor in the background. For number two, I tried the C-League cocktail. The smokiness of Mezcal has grown on me lately if it is not the primary flavor, and in this drink it is at a nice level somewhere in the middle. The cucumber and cilantro are definitely present, along with a little heat from the ancho verde and a little sweetness from the Luxardo maraschino. This is a excellent easy-drinking tequila cocktail. Her number two was the Aviation which she enjoyed. Vince was our main bartender along with Sarah. They were very friendly and fun to chit-chat with while they were mixing up our drinks. This is definitely a cool place to check out, and we will definitely return.

After arriving to 46, we were able to sample 4 different specialty drinks and choose one of them. And seated at our table. If you're a party less than 4. You will be joined with another party. Initially, it may feel awkward however after the icebreaker. It works! They have a nice food menus. The dates and burger were delicious! Besides the speciality drinks they also have a full bar so I opted for a regular old fashioned and it was delish! Since the speakeasy can hold a max of 16 ppl, service was superb and attentive. Pricing was reasonable for what it is. Note: service charge (tip) is included. I wish they would have told me. It was dark and I didn't have my glasses. Also after 2 drinks.... I added another 20% on top of that. I didn't even notice until I got home. But what is done is done. Would I return? yes! We enjoyed it so much. We have already recommended so many people and they have gone and enjoyed it as well!!

When making reservations a $25 deposit is required per person but will be applied to your bill day of visit. The hostess was very kind upon check in and took us to the back where the 46 door is. She provided us a code and explained the time limit along with house rules. We were then told to knock on the door and proceed with the experience. Kudos to the owner as this is the only speakeasy in the OC that has a true speakeasy feel entrance. They had a gentleman open the peephole and ask for the entry code. Once we said the code we entered a really cool mine shaft area. The attention to detail was on point and I was impressed! We were then taken upstairs to a private bar where there are four tables of four so a max of 16. This makes sense as to why reservations are hard to come by. The only ding about seating is you are sat with strangers it is not a private table. Luckily we had a fun older couple at our table so it made the conversation more lively. Otherwise don't go here with an expectation of an intimate/ private date night. They also offer a limited food menu but looked very promising. However, we were here for a night cap so just dabbled in drinks. The bartender had a seasonal menu of 4 cocktails he created. He explained the drinks and then had us try each one with a straw. We then placed our order based on what we liked. He did say if we were not a fan he could create us our own personal cocktail as well. The old fashion he created was phenomenal! Overall, a cool little spot in the OC. Do wish they were open later as they do close at 11pm on Friday and Saturday.
