    Oyster Sampler
    Samantha L.

We LOVED it here! Definitely coming back with the rest of the family. The oyster sampler was perfect for the 3 of us. The clam chowder is amazing. The miso sea bass was also super good. Pretty upscale atmosphere. Perfect for a date night or a nice dinner with the fam. The service was great until it became peak dinner time and I think they might've forgot about us. Didn't really come back to check on us once we got our food.

We celebrated Father's Day two days early and the men chose King's Fish House. I usually make most of my reservations through Open Table, but nothing was available for a party of nine for lunch, so I called the restaurant. The hostess who answered my call was able to "squeeze" us in at 1:15 PM. Service was fantastic from the moment we walked through the door. Both hostesses were so friendly and welcoming and seated us right away (we did arrive about 15 minutes early). Our server, Colleen, was also fantastic! She was very easy to talk with as we had a couple of short conversations during our time there. She was also very pleasant when my daughter's cheeseburger came with everything on it, which she only eats plain, and took it back and had it made the way she likes it. Everyone was very happy and satisfied with what they ordered. I wanted to try something different and decided to order the Seafood Cioppino. It had a nice variety of seafood such as fish, crab, three shrimp, calamari, clams and mussels. It was a bit hard to eat because I had to peel the shrimp and crack open the crab, so it did get a bit messy. I was given a bib to use, which came in handy. My son and I ordered the Crunchy Roll and it's one of the BEST we've ever tasted! My family and I would agree the BEST food was the sourdough bread and butter that comes with our meals! It's always so hot and freshly made! The restaurant wasn't too crowded, which made it even nicer for all nine of us to talk and enjoy our Father's Day celebration!

Came here for dinner and had a pretty good experience overall. The crab cakes were delicious and packed with flavor. I'd definitely order those again. I also tried the clam linguine, which was just okay for me. It had a very strong seafood flavor and I wish it had a bit more butter to balance everything out. The fish and chips were good with nice flavor, but the batter was a little soggy on one side but still enjoyable just not as crispy as I was hoping for. Overall, a solid seafood spot with some standout dishes, especially the bread and crab cakes. I'd come back to try more of the menu.

Great place for dinner! We had our dinner here with our son and his fiancé. The ambience is perfect to have Sunday drinks and light food. The food are all flavorful. Their cocktail drinks are mixed well...I had old Fashioned. The service was also superb... kudos to Jason. He made our experience the best. For this experience I will give it 4.7

I'm not sure who is rating this below five stars. Did they eat their food? Our food was great. Come early, it gets very busy. The fish is delicious and well prepared. The sides are worth sampling.

Service was great waitress was nice complimentary bread nice too. Marie loved her halibut. I on the other hand did not care for the seafood soup! Huge pieces of tomato the calamari were teeny tiny pieces that were over cooked not good at all. The other tiny fin pieces of fish were ridiculously tiny and there were only 2 and I'm sorry too over priced, there were too many onions and red peppers and green peppers. Your side house salad being $12.50 too high priced same for Caesar salad $12.00. I can see $6 each but not $12.50 or $12.00! There were nice big fish on walls and crab and lobster tanks too .

Came here for dinner. This place has always been impeccably clean and the staff friendly and helpful. We started with calamari and an oyster flight. For entrees, we got lobster roll and nawlins bbq shrimp, Calamari- Served hot and fresh. The breading is crisp and tasty with a soft and chewy interior. The aioli and tartar sauce on the side enhances every bite. Oyster Flight- The oysters are so fresh and meaty! Each type has a unique flavor and you get a variety of condiments and sauces to go wih it. Lobster Roll- I got this maine style which is cold with mayo. The lobster is fresh and juicy and the sauce elevates the flavors without overpowering it. The roll is warm and buttery and the fries are perfectly crisp. Nawlins Bbq Shrimp- This is a sweet and tangy dish! The shrimpis juicy and the sauce tickles the tastebuds. Served with fluffy rice and a side of garlic bread. Great experience overall!

Long-time diner, first-time reviewer. This place has become a special spot for us - it's where we had our very first date, so I thought it'd be meaningful to come back a year later for our anniversary. They also went out of their way to seat us at the same table where we sat a year ago upon our request! They are so sweet for doing that! I had added a little note in my OpenTable reservation just to see if they'd acknowledge it, and they did! They surprised us with a complimentary anniversary dessert - a generous portion of bread pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream (forgot to take a picture!) - which definitely earned major brownie points! The bread and butter here are always a hit - freshly baked, hot, and perfectly crunchy every time. My go-to entrée is always the Chilean Seabass. They make it perfect here - flaky and "stringy", and seasoned just right. They offer it two ways: Miso Yaki (my favorite) which is sweet and saucy with veggies, and Wild Ross, which is grilled and a bit on the drier side. We ordered both tonight, and they were solid dishes all around. I'll admit the price is steep at $44 each, but they're consistently delicious. Overall, we had a great experience - both the food and service delivered. We'll definitely keep coming back.

King's Fish House bar area dining.

Seldom does one find an eatery that combines excellent food, ambiance, and service so flawlessly. King's Fish House is such an eatery. Fresh sea food is a welcome constant with the added benefit of a skilled cook staff able to prepare off- menu upon request. King's has been a reliable staple for our family for many years, and an eagerly welcomed respite from mediocre dining.

Great ambience and great seafood house for hanging out with full bar drinks. This location is big and is capable to hold big party. I had: 1. Dozen of oysters 2. Filet and lobster tail 3. Chilean seabass with asparagus and brussel sprouts

They always do a great job with decorating when they have a new theme in effect, and the Great Gatsby décor is no exception. The room is filled with lots of gold streamers, hanging gold light fixtures, art deco artwork, Roman columns, etc. Reservations are highly recommended. We checked in at the host stand with Emma who was very friendly. She seated us immediately at the bar as requested. We enjoy talking with the bartenders and watching them make drinks. Ruben was our bartender and he was excellent in all aspects. I started out with Between the Sheets from the Gatsby menu (rum, cognac, orange, lemon, $18). Rum and cognac is a great combo. This cocktail is spirit forward and well balanced. She started out with a Bartender's Reserve (you call the spirit and flavor profile, and the bartender crafts something special for you, $20). She gave parameters of no hard liquors like whiskey or cognac, not sweet, and not refreshing (i.e. no cucumber). Ruben made the most amazing gin based cocktail. Some of the ingredients he mentioned were plum, passion fruit, pineapple, lime, and a bit of chartreuse and soda. It was complex and perfectly balanced, with great flavors. We have been here many times, and he even served it in a unique tiki mug that we've never seen here before. Now it was my turn to put Ruben to the test. I also wanted a Bartender's Reserve, and I told him to use any spirit as long as the drink focuses on banana or apricot flavor. He went to work, and after a short time a beautiful frosted glass was served to me. I forget all of the ingredients he mentioned, but it was rye based with banana liqueur, a small foam top, and fresh shaved cinnamon on top. The banana was perfectly present with the rye at a nice level. This was a home run all the way. Of course, she wanted another magical creation, and Ruben went to work yet once again. She was served a beautiful yellow cocktail, and he even hand cut a little lemon fish garnish. It was mezcal based with yuzu, elderflower, mango, and lime. It was perfectly balanced, the smoke was at the perfect level, and again it had a great mix of flavors. There was some left over, and he even gave that to her in a chilled side bottle with its own baby's breath flower garnish. It's so fun to watch their bartenders create something from scratch, grabbing various bottles, mixing, tasting, adjusting, and then garnishing and serving. In addition to Ruben's delicious creations tonight, Adrian and Sergio have also made us delicious custom crafted cocktails on several occasions. We will definitely be returning soon for some of their new upcoming themes.

Came for the drinks though, not the food. The ambiance is dimly lit to create the intimate vibe and there was a Great Gatsby theme. Not sure how often they change the theme but we'll be back soon to find out. Espresso martini was delicious, Across the Bay was delightful, but the ABSINTHE drinks were INCREDIBLE. Stacy was attentive, knowledgeable, full of great suggestions, and so personable. She made us feel genuinely welcome. At one point I almost wanted to invite her to take a birthday shot with us! She was truly a 10/10 and made the experience memorable. The only downside was our experience at the bar. We ordered drinks there and noticed they weren't made the same as the ones we'd been receiving at our table. When we mentioned it, the bartender responded, "Well, maybe because I made four at once." I'm still not sure what that was supposed to mean. The interaction came across as unfriendly, which was disappointing since we were having such a great time. I didn't realize I was at the wrong place until I looked at the menu. The two spots are right next to each other, have similar aesthetics, and are easy to mix up. Since I was already there (and starving), I decided to stay. The spooky decor is totally my vibe, so I was happy to give it a shot. The food was decent not bad by any means, but it didn't have that wow factor. I've definitely had better steaks and mac & cheese, but everything was cooked fine and tasted good. The drinks were solid, and I liked the cocktail selection. What really impressed me was the happy hour. BOGO drinks plus two free sides with the steak is a pretty great deal these days. The steak was a little pricey for the quality, but honestly, what isn't expensive anymore.... Service was good. My waitress was attentive, though to be fair I was the only customer there at the time. My only real complaint is that the place felt a little quiet. With the spooky theme, some music would really help set the mood and elevate the atmosphere. Overall, this ended up being a pleasant surprise. I'd recommend it for food and drinks, and I personally enjoyed it much more than Villains Brewery (you can read my review on that one... no bueno). Not sure if the two businesses are connected, but I had a good experience at one and a bad experience at the other. ‍
