Just tried this place as part of OC restaurant week. Went here for lunch and was surprised how crowded it was as the restaurant is in an office building complex. I have to say that the food was decent but nothing really stood out. I do have to say that for the price they did give large portions. I spoke with our waiter who was a little overwhelmed with the rush, but he noted that their French dip sandwich is their best thing on their menu. I will probably give them another try when they are not so busy as service was not the best. I even received our bill before we even got all of our food

It was always great place to dine for one , two or a group. Food was perfectly prepared and delicious. Parking is easy for accessibility. The servers were very nice and prompt. The interiors are nicely played out no matter the size of the reservation. My family has dined there numerous times in both dining room or private room for a family celebration.

Such amazing service from start to finish! I was impressed with the entire dinner experience. The pricing was very reasonable for the quality. I highly recommend the cedar plank salmon and the calamari--both were absolutely delicious. The prime rib is a must, and definitely add the prawns! We will 100% be back. Nice clean restaurant too :)

Second time is the charm. Walked in and the host was very clear with instructions. No reservation but they're all booked so only front patio or bar area left to sit for first come first serve. The server was also more knowledgable this time. Knowing we came for a coupon they knew which food qualified to be redeemable. Manager remembered us from last time we came. Steak on point. Fiancé loved this experience much more. Although it did take awhile for steak to come out (~20 mins) but I am assuming it is because they had a big party going on. Will definitely come back!!!!! Thank you for the better experience this time around!

This has been one of our favorite happy hours for years. You really cannot beat it. The prices are amazing, the food is phenomenal, and the bar is so much fun. The live music is also great. We always have the best date nights here. The sliders are the best ever. We recently tried the zuni rolls for the first time and we are hooked!! The turkey and cheese combined with the raspberry sauce is fantastic. You also can't go wrong with the pesto flatbread. The service is always wonderful and we will forever be regulars.

The restaurant is beautiful. It's has a bar with outside seating and a dining room. This was my first visit, I had high hopes. I've read the Yelp reviews and they were mixed. I ordered the French onion soup and the fish and chips. We did order the coconut shrimp as a appetizer. The waitress was amazing she did a great job. The coconut shrimp came out hot and with a orange sauce and cocktail sauce. The coconut shrimp was delicious with the shrimp being a good size. The coconut flavor came out. It was one of best I've had. The French onion soup was a disappointment. It didn't have much flavor and the bread they used didn't work for me. The fish was okay but I expected more from a restaurant like this. The fries were very good. We did have coffee and It also was very good. Overall I don't think I'll be coming back. That's the bad side of having a restaurant. One bad experience and you won't be back.

The food was delicious and Teri was an excellent server. I had the French Onion soup and Crab Scallop cakes. My friend had the Salmon and it was very flavorful. I think the only things I didn't like were parking is hard and the room was pretty loud and it was a little hard to hear. Otherwise, I loved it.

I love this place. I love good quality food and this is one of them. I don't like going to places that look good but the quality feels like fast food. That is one of the main reasons I would give a big YAY! To this restaurant the quality is surreal like made by a human not a machine! You know! I feel this place is underrated it deserves by far more. I have been going multiple times and food is awesome every time, service is good attentive people.

We ended up at this location for Mother's Day to celebrate my wife with two of our adult children. The ambiance was nice, and the service was attentive. We ordered the vegi omelet, eggs Benedict, and French toast. The omelette and Eggs Benedict were acceptable, but the potatoes that accompanied both dishes were less than desirable and not really edible. The French toast with fresh berries came with bacon that looked so meager, that they should be embarrassed to charge $26 for this meal, as well as there were exactly 3 berries served with the one piece of French toast. All in all, the server was sweet and pleasant, but we won't be planning on coming back to this establishment. The 3 stars is for the server and ambience and definitely not the food....oh yeah, they charge 3% to use a credit card??? Who pays cash for a $125 meal? Ridiculous!

We were there for a holiday brunch and I was hoping for the meatloaf or some form of it (lunch portion or a sandwich). No meatloaf on the menu. I got a burger and it was decent. The service was good as was the ambience. The coconut cake was delicious. Side note, if you want a whole cake to go, you need to order ahead. I don't think I'd go back for brunch. The menu is limited for my taste.

Had an amazing second visit but will definitely become a regular if the food is always this good! We started with their yummy Shishito Peppers and the best Fried Zucchini I've ever had! The batter was so light and crispy, my mouth is watering just writing this! I had a yummy Lemon Drop Martini, simply scrumptious. I ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon and my hubby had the Ahi Tuna Sandwich, both cooked to perfection! The ambiance was so cute and the conversation kept going so we ordered two of their desserts, Crème Brûlée and only the most amazing most delicious Bourbon Bread Pudding ever! They use real bourbon and can totally taste the difference. The service was friendly and helpful and our waitress kept checking in on us which we totally appreciated. Already counting the days until we can go back!

My one and only visit here is when we recently attended a retirement party for my sister. The set up was in a private back room area that supported around 50 people (I think). It was a great venue for this! There were several long tables to accommodate everyone. They served several delicious appetizers buffet style, and there was also a table with salad and fruit. Plus an open bar. No one went hungry or thirsty. There was enough room to set up a screen for a slide show. There were some technical difficulties that delayed the start of the slide show, but that always happens. I really need to find time to go back to dine in the restaurant. It's really nice!

    Mojo S.

Though I was warned that the food here was only so-so, I didn't find that at all to be the case. My rack of lamb turned out to be supremely juicy, flavorful, and satisfying. Don't get me wrong, it's very hard to mess up lamb when the meat itself is top tier, but I've seen places where it's been dry, bland, and a total waste of money, This was the opposite of that; every bite killed. And that salted caramel ice cream pie was a rock star dessert. The portion was huge, the combination of flavors was huge, and the impact to my contentment and well-being was huge. That was a much-needed respite from the stresses of the day. The service was pretty good, but nothing too impressive. The place was reverent and comforting but not bourgeois. The ambiance was like visiting a funeral home and having a feast inside. As aforementioned, I was expecting something average coming here but got something more substantially memorable in all the best ways. I could go my whole life eating this lamb and ice cream pie.

The table next to us ordered a Rombauer Chardonnay, got the wrong white wine, shows he wasn't paying attention. We started with a Caesar salad, a tad over dressed, too much dressing but we really enjoyed it. I had the whole snapper which was excellent, my wife got the shrimp tacos, she didn't enjoy that, it was over spiced, too hot and not mentioned on the menu ingredients. For some reason the refinery spend their 40 minutes cooking the hell out of my burger, and they could even put the tooth pick in the middle of my burger, like is it that hard to stab my burger in the middle. I honestly don't know how The Refinery inside the Hilton in Brea manages to stay open. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. First off, the place looks nice when you walk in, but that's where the positives end. The service was painfully slow -- not the "busy restaurant" kind of slow, but the "did anyone remember we're here?" kind. We waited forever just to get water, and it somehow took even longer for the food. Then the food actually showed up... and wow. Bland, overpriced, and somehow still cold. It tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp since last week. For a restaurant attached to a Hilton, I expected at least basic quality, but this felt like cafeteria food with steakhouse prices. To make things worse, the staff acted like helping customers was a huge inconvenience. No check-ins, no refills, no effort. Just vibes of "please eat and leave." Between the slow service, disappointing food, and ridiculous prices, this place feels like a tourist trap hiding in a hotel lobby. Save your money and eat literally anywhere else in Brea. Even a gas station snack run would be a better experience.

Life happened, years passed, and somehow I never made it back. Fast forward to today: I was driving my Tesla, jokingly asked Grok to take me somewhere for a beer, and it pointed me right back here. Walking in felt like revisiting a place that had been quietly waiting in the background of my story. The centerpiece is still the incredible bar. Shelves stacked floor to ceiling with whiskey bottles, glowing green tile behind the taps, warm lighting, and enough character that you can spend half your time simply looking around. It's the kind of room that feels both energetic and comfortable at the same time. I grabbed a seat at the bar, watched a soccer match on the TVs, and ordered an Old Fashioned. It arrived exactly the way I hoped it would: large clear ice cube, generous orange peel, balanced and smooth without trying too hard. Just a well-made classic cocktail. What stood out most was the atmosphere. These days I'm much more likely to be exploring hiking trails, photographing wildflowers, or driving mountain roads than spending time in bars. Twelve years ago, places like this were a much more regular part of my life. Coming back reminded me why I enjoyed them in the first place. Good conversation, a comfortable seat, a quality drink, and no rush to be anywhere else. The beer taps looked extensive, the whiskey selection seemed endless, and the entire place struck a balance between neighborhood pub and whiskey destination. Funny how a random AI navigation suggestion brought me back to a place I'd been meaning to revisit for over a decade. Glad it finally did. 5 stars.
