My family and I were really looking forward to celebrating Mother's Day at Fogo de Chao! This was my first time at this location. I've been the one in El Segundo and my experience there was so-so. I rated this Fogo de Chao only three stars and not five for one reason...the set prices just for dining there on Mother's Day. When I booked this place for my party of 12, there was no mention of the prices for Mother's Day. When I went to the website several times, I clicked on the Brunch Menu and felt the prices were reasonable for what you got. However, when we were presented with the menu for Mother's Day, the least expensive choice was $78 per person!!! And that price didn't even include a non-alcoholic beverage! An iced tea was $4.95 and an orange juice was $5.10!!! I'm not a huge meat eater and was planning on getting the brunch bar which included the salad bar, made to order omelets and waffles. There was no way my husband, daughter and I together ate $78 worth of food! We felt it was very misleading and forced to pay $78 since we were already there and seated. The pricing for Mother's Day should be clearly stated on the website, which I still cannot find. However, the service was excellent! All of their servers, carvers, etc. were very attentive and always made sure we had what we needed. The food was very tasty and there was a lot to choose from. Most likely, we won't be back. We chose to spend our Mother's Day dinner at the Brea location of Fogo de Chão after our usual location in Huntington Beach was fully booked. Since they are sister locations, we expected the same level of food quality and customer service we normally receive. Unfortunately, this experience was the complete opposite. Our table repeatedly requested medium-well to well-done cuts of meat. What initially arrived was consistently extremely rare, nearly blue. When we clarified again and requested well-done, the response swung to the other extreme and the meat started arriving completely charred on the outside while still not properly cooked inside. After waiting approximately an hour and a half for acceptable food, the final filet brought to our table was blackened and burned on the outside while still medium inside. When we politely explained that it was unacceptable, the gaucho who brought it out became defensive and argumentative rather than attempting to correct the issue. At that point, I spoke with the Customer Service Manager, Lestat, who was actually fantastic throughout the situation. He remained professional, apologetic and respectful even while clearly being put in a difficult position. He informed me that the individual arguing with us was the general manager, Sauvignon. Unfortunately, the interaction with Sauvignon only escalated the situation further instead of helping resolve it. We decided we no longer wanted additional food and simply requested our bill so we could leave. We had barely eaten despite being there for a significant amount of time. To make matters worse, the original bill was also incorrect. This was not a situation where a large party was splitting checks in different ways. We had seven people sitting at our table, yet the bill was generated for eight full dinners. After that error was corrected, I explained that while the party size had finally been fixed, the bill still did not reflect the experience we had. I was then told that Sauvignon had instructed staff that absolutely nothing would be adjusted on the bill. Only after further discussion was any accommodation finally offered. What stood out most during this entire experience was the clear tension among staff surrounding management. Multiple employees appeared visibly uncomfortable throughout the interaction. We have always enjoyed Fogo de Chão and regularly dine at the Huntington Beach location, which has consistently provided excellent service and food. Unfortunately, the Brea location delivered one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we have had in a very long time, especially on a holiday meant to celebrate with family. read more

On April 17, 2026, around 4-5 p.m., my boyfriend and I decided to have dinner at Fogo de Chão for the first time. The only reason this review is late is because I have been trying to find the right words to describe what was genuinely one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. To start, the restaurant was not busy. It was actually pretty empty, which makes the lack of service even harder to excuse. We were excited because neither of us had been to Fogo de Chão before, and we had never really experienced Brazilian churrasco dining. Since Fogo de Chão heavily markets itself around the "experience" of a traditional Brazilian steakhouse, we expected attentive service, endless meats, and an atmosphere that matched the price point. That is not what we received. My boyfriend ordered the Full Churrasco Experience, and I ordered the Picanha, which included the seasonal market table. Considering Fogo de Chão is not exactly a cheap dinner, I expected more than being ignored for most of the meal. Honestly, the best part of the experience was leaving. We saw our server maybe twice. The second time, he handed us our drinks without even looking at us. We basically got a view of the back of his head as he rushed off somewhere else. Our table cards were set for meat service, yet the gaucho chefs repeatedly walked past our table, served other customers, checked on them, and even asked them if they wanted specific meats brought out, while my boyfriend and I were treated like we were invisible. We could barely get any meat, let alone actual service. At one point, we asked another server, not even our own because ours was too busy helping everyone except us, if we could get more bread. We never received it. It was not until another server nearby noticed that I was visibly upset that anyone bothered to check on us. By that point, I did not need anything except the bill. The most disappointing part is that Fogo de Chão is supposed to be about the experience. Instead, we paid for an expensive meal where we had to sit and watch other people receive the experience we were supposed to be having. Maybe the food would have tasted better if the service had not been so bad. But when you are ignored for almost the entire meal, even the food starts to taste like a mistake. I have never had service this poor in my life, or more accurately, no service at all. For a restaurant that prides itself on hospitality and an elevated dining experience, this was embarrassing. I would not recommend this location to anyone who values their time, money, or basic acknowledgment. read more

She really went above and beyond to make sure we got the bar bites we wanted which was greatly appreciated. Overall this dinner night was a great deal for $45 which included 2 tequila cocktails, a ton of bar bites and a few pieces of Tomahawk steak and ribeye. My husband and I went there to celebrate my birthday. We arrived as soon as it open for lunch. We were seated promptly. We ordered the full churrasco meal which includes meats, market table salad bar and sides. The meats were plentiful. They keep coming around with different kinds of meat. My favorites were the New York strip steak and the filet mignon. The Brazilian cheese rolls were delicious. I highly recommend it. You can get refills on the cheese rolls. But try not to eat too much of that or you won't be able to enjoy all the other stuff. The salad bar has many items to choose from. It has different salads, vegetables, fruits, cheeses, soup, beans and rice. My favorite was the maple glazed bacon. From previous visits at the Downtown location, I really like their fresh fruits. It is usually very ripe and sweet. Unfortunately the fresh fruits were not very good at this visit/location. They were not sweet. It cannot be that all the fruits were not in season. None of the following fruits I had were sweet: pineapple, papaya, dragon fruit, kiwi. Our server was friendly and attentive. She offered me a complimentary dessert for my birthday. I had the Creme brûlée and it was delicious. This place has a large seating area. It gets loud and noisy when there are a lot of people. The tables and chairs are arranged rather close to each other. Yummy meat selection! I went to celebrate a birthday and we chose to do the full churrasco that includes Picanha, bone in ribeye, sirloin and more. Every single meat is tender and really good although for the ribeye, it is a lot more saltier. The salad bar is nice with assorted salad and side dishes including prosciutto and some soups. The staff is accommodating and when a meat is not grilled enough, they would take it back to the kitchen and told us that they would come back and they did which is nice. We got the indulgence menu so we were able to choose 1 of 4 items (lobster tail, crab cake, bone marrow and something else) and it came with any dessert of choice. I love the lobster tail. It wasnt rubbery and perfectly buttered. Some of the meats were amazing but some were really salty. I liked the pork chop. The pork belly woth honey and lemon was interesting but fatty. I liked the items at the salad bar. They gave lots of fruits. They gave fried plankton and what seemed like deep fried masa and it was soo good. I wished i got more but i needed to eat meat to get my monies worth. Melek and zaila were such amazing waitresses. At the beginning, the meater kept skipping our table but after they called them out we kept getting meat. Even at the end when we all finished, flipped the cards to red, and got desserts, 1 of our friends were still hungry so the meat guy came by and gave him food. One of the better places for a special occasion. This is a new standalone restaurant by Brea mall. They did a marvelous job with the interior with a flair modern and luxury. We arrived before the rush before 5pm with plenty of seatings available. We started out with the buffet table with lots of vegetable, cheese, and essential Brazilian sides selections except for Brazilian Collard Greens. Here are my beef RANKING from bottom to top: Bacon wrapped mignon, Garlic beef, Picanha, Beef Ribs, Filet mignon (upon request). Bacon wrapped meat was cooked well done and even a well done mignon is difficult to chew. Filet mignon was magnificent and I wished that I had requested sooner. read more

First time here for a family dinner, and it was a disappointing experience overall. The atmosphere felt more like a loud, high-end buffet than the upscale dining experience I expected. Service was inconsistent from the start. We waited about 10 minutes to be acknowledged, then additional time just to get water (which took multiple trips to fill). Drinks were a major issue: fountain drinks came first, wine followed 15 minutes later, and cocktails took nearly 40 minutes and only after I went to the bar to ask TWICE! And to top it off, When they arrived, they weren't even correct. The marketplace was underwhelming, with several items (meats, cheeses, fruit, and Caesar salad) not being replenished. Service throughout the meal was inattentive, with long stretches (20+ minutes) of no check-ins. At one point, we realized we had been waiting all that time just for a small serving of pineapple, not even enough for the table. I will say they were thoughtful in accommodating my dad with cheese-free bread, which we appreciated. As someone who works in hospitality, this visit to Fogo de Chão Brea felt less like dinner and more like a live training video titled "What Not to Do." Honestly, I should be sending them a thank-you note because I used this exact experience the next day while speaking to a room full of people as an example of how not to treat your guests. So... appreciate the material, I guess? Between the lack of attentiveness and overall experience, it really highlighted how important the basics are. Not my first time at Fogo De Chao, but it was my first time at their Brea location. Beautiful restaurant and big inside, the open style layout complements the space well. We came on New Year Eve and the place was bustling. Great service! Servers came around with ample meat selections. All the meats were delicious and tender. Favorite cuts were bone-in rib eye, lamb chops, and picanha. I was surprised to see that they now have pork belly, which was slightly crisp and succulent. Also, another one with honey drizzled on top..yum! Salad bar was well stocked and solid. Though we were all stuffed, we couldn't pass up dessert. We shared crème brûlée cheesecake with berry compote and side of vanilla ice cream that was amazing. Happy New Year! Diet starts next week. LOL! read more

I came here to celebrate the holidays with coworkers during lunch. This restaurant is a dining experience. Luckily, our large group made reservations. They seat when the majority of the party arrive. Walking through the restaurant, it was crowded. Tables are right next to each other, but the interior is modern, upscale. Our party was seated in the back room where there were a couple rows of long table seating. We all ordered the same thing, which includes a wonderful salad bar and meat delivered to your table, $53 per person. We all went straight to the salad bar. The salad bar is extensive and exotic, but no tags that state what the dishes are. Even though it was a mystery, everything looked scrumptious. Because the ceramic plates are on the right, I started there and worked my way to the left. It ends with sliced meats, cheeses, and soups. The soups did have descriptive tags. At the table, they delivered bread with cheese in the center, fried plantains, french fries, and mashed potatoes. The plantains were my favorite. As soon as we all got back to the table...so it began. All kinds of meats on skewers were brought to the table, every imaginable variety of beef, lamb, pork, chicken, sausage, and fried cheese drizzled with honey. Wow! Delicious, flavorful meats. Because I was at the end of the table, I got the most flavorful outer cut of meat with all the seasoning. You grab the cut meat with your tongs. It started with parking, but I didn't lead with that. There's not enough parking. Because it's located in a strip mall, next to an In and Out Burger, I had to circle around a few times before I found a parking spot because someone left. My experience at this Fogo de Chão location was a bit of a mixed bag. We were quickly seated when we arrived and placed on the outer edge of the restaurant. While this was a great spot for natural light, it ended up having its implications later in our visit. Inside the restaurant, it can get loud, as there is a lot of seating, no large separating walls, and the restaurant is usually busy around dinner time. We loved the market bar, and ended up revisiting it a lot for options like the asparagus and different kinds of salads. The complimentary cheese bread that Fogo de Chão offers is one of my personal favorite sides of all time. Super fluffy with a cheese flavor that isn't super overpowering. However, when it came to the meat, we were less pleased. We were visited for meat a total of 6 times in our two hour dinner. We loved the chicken, but were only able to try it once. The picanha was a bit disappointing and sometimes very tough to chew. In short, I had a less than optimal experience with the meat that I was so excited for. Two things truly saved our visit, though. First, our server, Cassie, was awesome. She was attentive, friendly, and helpful in answering questions and making sure our cheese bread bowls were filled to the brim at all times. The second, the cheesecake brûlée is awesome. Delicious cheesecake that is sometimes overpowered by the sheer amount of sugar, but is delicious nonetheless. Overall, I think I'd give my visit a 7.5/10. The experience is worth the money, and its nice to indulge in a concerning amount of cheese bread. The service for us especially was not the quickest, and sometimes we were left waiting forever for a piece of meat to come to our table, watching everyone around us get the very last pieces. But we did have a great time. If you've never tried Fogo de Chão, I recommend the experience. read more

I asked him how often the meats came around and he said every 2 minutes... that was farrrrr from what we experienced. Never saw him again the rest of our time dining. Our waters weren't refilled till about half way through our dining experience. We then had another waiter that attended to us the rest of the time. It took us about 15 minutes into our seating to finally see some meat come to our table. The weird thing is they only served half our table meat then left to another table without asking. This happened twice! The servers seem to randomly go to tables, not in a structured way where all tables in that general area are served. They serve one table next to us then walk to a whole different section. Meat service is sooo slow. The meats temps were all over the place. Most were either well done or rare. I could see the cold blue hue from a mile away. The servers even told us they didn't want to give us raw meat but still offered it to other tables. It seems they are rushing to get meat out and not properly cooking it. The garlic pichana and pork belly were my favorite but the cook on them was inconsistent each time we had it. Other cuts were bland and the meat quality taste cheap. Ribeyes are usually my favorite but their ribeye was tough and barely had any fat. The market bar they had was ok, everything is cold, which I am personally not a fan of cold veggies. When we left there were 3 employees gossiping at the front entrance and didn't say anything to us when we left like other more upscale dining places do. For the price we paid, I'd rather order a steak from an actual steakhouse that has better quality meat and cooks the meat to an actual medium rare. Probably better service as well. read more

Food was pretty good, although some meats were a bit too salty for my liking. We (2 adults) had a reservation and we were seated to one of the small tables which I imagine they can normally put them together to use as a large table for larger group but got separated for multiple small groups. The space between our small table and the neighboring small tables was about 12 inches. Yes, it was very tight. There was no tablecloth, although we noticed some larger tables were covered by nice white tablecloth. Since the tables were so tight, the gentleman who was sitting next to us literally had to move their table to make more space for him to go to the salad bar. And the old lady sitting next to us on the other side kept talking to us as if we were family and sitting at the same table. I never like strangers keeping talking to us while dining at restaurants. We ordered "The Indulgent Churrasco" each ($98 as of April 2026) but they did not bring the lobster for an hour. They asked at least 3 times if we already had had the lobster and when we answered "No. not yet" they said they'll bring it in 5 minutes. We didn't know what was going on. So we at least enjoyed other food items but started feeling a little awkward waiting for the lobster for an hour and at that point we were not so hungry anymore because we ate other things. Finally we asked them to downgrade our order so we can pay $78 without lobster and dessert. ("The Full Churrasco" $78) We were ready to pay, and asked for the check but then they brought the lobsters in clear plastic container in a hurry and told us we can take it to go without paying for it. Ok, now this made us look like we even tried to get the lobsters for free intentionally! That is not good! This place opened not too far from our home and wanted to try at least once. However it ended up giving us this awkward experience. Once again, the food was not bad. We may come back and give another try, or... we simply may go back to Texas De Brazil. read more

Served as a chauffeur for Mom and her outta town guest to catch a birthday celebration for one of their high school contemporaries. I'm very familiar with Fogo de Chão as I've been to many of their locations (out of state included.) They have been good in the past, but lately, it feels like they deliberately delay delivery of their skewered goodies. But I was hoping this place might just break that pattern. ANYWAY! My party of three arrived a little early. I allocated a bit of time for parking (I always do this for places I've never been.) Couldn't find a spot after a couple of rounds, so decided to valet. It's a beautifully set up restaurant. Nice open area with high ceilings. Bar with top TOP shelves. Seating was nicely spaced. I was impressed with its overall appearance. The host reserved a private room to make the occasion more intimate. I'd say there about 40 of us present. The decor was well thought of, including a video of a fireplace on the TV, which I thought was a nice touch. I deliberately had nothing but water all day since I knew I'd be dining here. Once all the guests came through and got done with their meet and greet, we all headed out to the buffet. My initial thought was: impressive. It felt there were less options here than ones I've been to, but still pretty good. I found everything I wanted, but also tried to limit the items I got because I came through mainly for one thing: MEAT!!! So got my goodies, sat at my chair and waited. And waited. More wait... I was way too hungry so I started nipping at my plate. Then finally came one lady with a skewer: PICANHA! Now imagine this: there are two tables with two rows of people on each side (4 rows total.) I was happy she went on opposite side me to offer her services because that meant my row was next. After she walked out of that row, she walked out altogether, not serving the other three rows. AND YES, she had plenty leftover meat on her stick. The next ones came through but few and far between. I got to try lamb pichana, garlic beef, sirloin. There was also chicken and sausage that I skipped. When the lady with the picanha came back, she did the same exact thing the first time - went on the same side then walked away AGAIN. I didn't let her this time. I made sure to call her back, serve my row and asked to serve the other two rows next to me. And then THAT. WAS. IT. They didn't come back no more. The meat option came through so few and far between that we all eventually got full from the buffet items. I even overheard a few people saying they're too hungry to wait and got up for a second round in the buffet. FOOD: 3. Mostly for the buffet. SERVICE: 5 for our server (I think his name was Elmo?) 1 for everyone else. VALUE: 2. It was a private party we were invited to, and granted we didn't pay for it and basing the experience on the amount of churrascaria we got (or the lack thereof), wasn't worth it. I feel the hosts got jipped. PARKING: Private lot and valet for $10. Busy on a Sunday lunch hour rush. If the lot is full and you can afford it, just valet and avoid the hassle. OVERALL: 2. Our server was their saving grace. Otherwise, it would have been a solid 1, if not less. Disappointing, I will say. Serving skewers is the very center and the very reputation of this restaurant nd they failed at it. I also felt it was deliberate. It's a good thing there's The Hat across the street. There's once closer to home (which I've been to - similar experience as here, except more options at the buffet) and one in Pasadena I will be going to next month (also for a birthday celebration.) I guess I'll do more comparing then. Unless I have to come back here for another special occasion, it's a one-and-done. read more

My boyfriend and I visited Fogo De Chao on Saturday and had made same-day reservations (12:15 pm) to beat the wait. We were seated immediately upon arrival and ordered the full Churrasco ($57 pp). The service was amazing, we never had to flag anyone down for water which we can't say for most restaurants. The salad bar for brunch had waffles, soup, deli meats, fruit etc. Everyone was attentive and friendly, we had a great early valentines date. The green means you are still hungry and want more meat brought to the table. The red light means you are full and don't want anymore. The red and green disks made me think of Squid games red light, green light lol Calling all carnivores! This is your spot for all-you-can-eat meat! It's $75 for all-you-can-eat meat. Not bad! Some of the meat is tender and very good. Other cuts were not as good. My husband felt it was worth it for the price, and my dad said it wasn't worth it. He prefers to order a steak and have it be cooked really well, versus having different cuts cooked differently. I did the salad bar. My mom also did the salad bar too. The Market Table is $40 and that includes just the salad bar area. That is pretty pricey. It's veggies, fruit, pasta salad, beans, rice and lentil soup. The sourdough bread was yummy. The soup was good. Everything else was cold and just sitting out. I question the freshness on some items, and even whether some of the fruit was ripe. I had a piece of an apricot, and it was hard. Not ripe. This was not a good value. Overall, service was great. The meat was meatin' lol Lots of meats with different cuts and cooked differently. Some great, some not so great. Salad bar was overpriced. This is not a place for vegetarians lol Sure, they can pick at the market table. Just not a good value. The desserts were phenomenal! Get the cheesecake brulee! Coming in are waiter asked us if we were celebrating any special event and he gave us some wonderful dessert on the house. He was very welcoming and attentive. He was knowledgeable in the menu and recommended some great items! We ended up trying the lamb, filet mignon, flank steak, garlic steak and bacon covered steak! We enjoyed that every piece of meat had a different flavor profile and seasoning. Does staff frequently walked by and offered us different selections. TLDR: If you want to spend the money for the experience, go ahead. But in my opinion, you can get better tasting meat elsewhere, but Fogo offers the very good in most cuts, while charging rates that would suggest that they're the best. Salad Station: It's A LOT to take in. I'm not the biggest salad connoisseur, so I don't have much to say, but it does offer this layer of excitement while waiting for the staff to bring the meats over. Special mention to the bacon, as they serve VERY good bacon. That's saying something, given I hate bacon. Pork Chop: Mid at best. Skip it. Beef Picanha: It's the signature cut for all Brazilian BBQ spots. It's very good. Salty in some spots, but very good. Bone in ribeye: Saw it once and never again. It's not as flavorful as the picanha, but you should have it when it passes by Bottom Sirloin: It's what we were given the most and I think is the most balanced in terms of meatiness to tenderness ratio. Top Sirloin: Not gonna lie, I could barely tell the difference between the top and the bottom. Filet Mignon: My favorite. It's a shame we only got it during the last round when we were asked what we specifically wanted near closing Beef Ribs: The softest bite of the night. It's as close as you can get to Texas BBQ, minus the flavor. Get it when it passes by, I don't care if your plate is still full. Lamb Chops: It's close to the best lamb I've ever had, and it's definitely the softest lamb that I've had. What's amazing is that the meat looked medium well to well done, but it was SUPER tender. Lamb Picanha: You get the same flavor profile as the lamb chop, but the resistance of the beef picanha. They don't miss when it comes to lamb. Cheese bread: The refilling process was slow and it's always served cold. A shame. Service: You're here for the meat and the service. The cheese bread refill was slow, but everything else is done at a high level. Ambiance: They really packed the place. You don't lose the white tablecloth feel and the generally warm food hall feel with the TVs in the bar area showing sports, but it does get tight during a max capacity service. read more

Our eating habits have changed and the last time we did the all you can eat at Fogo has been a few years ago. Now we can just do the market salad and order off from the happy hour menu which includes good meat selections we enjoyed! We have been back 3 times since we found out about this happy hour about 2 months ago! Service is always good! Servers are all nice, friendly and happy to talk to. Came in for dinner with my girlfriend. We ate in the bar and ordered off the happy hour menu. Happy hour is all day every day in the bar and patio areas. If you don't want the full chubasco experience it's a great deal. The bartender served us and kept our drinks full and fresh. My girlfriend had some unused balance on a gift card so that was taken off our bill making it a very cheap date. We both ordered the bone, a large beef rib. A few cheese bread bites and the rib was perfect for dinner. Everything was cooked well and tasted great. We will continue to return for both the full dinner and the happy hour menu. read more

My server Melek was very professional, courteous, knowledgeable about the different types of wines and foods and extremely professional. I was originally going to have an event here that I canceled, and I was just going to let the deposit go, but Agustina encouraged me to use it towards a regular reservation and I'm thankful for that. She was patient until I was ready and then reserved my group and I for brunch. We had a great time and the food was good. I think some of the meats needed to be a bit more flavorful and my group had to ask a few times for chicken. By the time it came around they didn't want it anymore. However, I will say that it was a busy Sunday so I can understand. I've been in the area other Sundays and have not seen the parking lot as packed as that day. The six of us visited for a family birthday dinner on a Thursday evening. I enjoyed the great food quality from the Best of Brazil dinner ($49). The buffet-style Market Table had a lot of fresh salad, fruits, vegetables, and charcuterie. The white rice tasted good, but some bites were a little too hard for my preference. The tableside service for meats took a long time after I got food from the Market Table. However, I eventually got good amounts of top sirloin. Most of the medium-cooked steak cuts tasted lovely. The bottom sirloin, however, seemed to have an aftertaste from the char. The picanha came too late once we got full from all the other meats. Waiting periods for meats were unfortunately rather long. The evening was busy, but we expected continuous and fluid service throughout the restaurant. For the price paid per person, this was unfortunate. Despite the inconsistent provision of meats coming out from the kitchen, the servers checked in on us often. One server asked us what type of meats we wanted; those eventually arrived. Everyone was also on top of providing us water refills. On our second time here, the tableside service for meats was inconsistent. The cuts tasted great, but they started to taste similar over time. However, the staff continually checked in on us. I found myself enjoying the Market Table a lot and would consider going here for lunch just for that. read more
