Don't sleep on the taco Tuesday here, folks. It's the only day they offer tacos and it's a bargain. I'm not a huge BBQ guy, personally. About twice a year is all I need to meet my smoked meat hankering. This place is great for when I'm in the mood for BBQ, but it's my go-to spot on Tuesdays for these $3 tacos. Massive tacos made with substantial handmade tortillas and protein of your choice. I usually go with the perfectly grilled and smoky shrimp, but other options include tri-tip, brisket, pork belly or pulled pork. The best part is that they griddle one side of the tortilla with queso fresco first and then flip it over to griddle the other side with the filling inside. The result is a perfectly chewy, yet sturdy vehicle with an internal layer of cheese browned into the tortilla, holding all of the goodies (protein, raw onion and cilantro) intact. Their house made salsa is more of a roasted salsa verde but works really well with the smoky meats and packs some good heat. This place goes hard on the hunger and easy on the wallet. Cheap beers on tap is a nice touch, too. read more

1 meat plates ordered: Tri Tip with coleslaw and chili, Meatloaf with Mexican corn and baked potato, and a kid's chicken strips plate with fries. EVERYTHING was flavorful, fresh, and delicious. The meatloaf is not a traditional meatloaf. It was shredded tender meat marinated in delectable spices. The tripl tip was also tender, suberb cut (little to no fat) and a sizable portion. The sides were large enough to share especially the baked potato and Mexican corn. The fried chicken was great and I couldn't stop stealing my kid's fries. Again, everything was delicious. I'm a fan. Mmmmm mmmmmmm! I got the Monday special. Full rack and 2 sides. The baked beans are awesome! Cole slaw a little funky/different but it didn't suck. The ribs were very delicious. Very meaty. Sauce was perfect. I was satisfied with the amount and meat on the ribs I got. For the value, you get a full slab and 2 sides for $30, it deserves way more than 5 stars. Not sure how I missed this little gem. The food was not what we expected being the price on the tacos were so reasonable on Taco Tuesday. All of the different meats were so delicious. Probably the worst bbq I have ever had. The Mac n cheese was grainy, the meats were all unseasoned, the bbq sauce was ketchup and the spicy version was just spicy ketchup. The only thing that tasted good were the mango and strawberry watermelon lemonades. read more

Picked up the Monday special full rack baby back ribs to go around Noon. There weren't any other customers so my food was ready very quickly. The ribs were meaty and tender but not exactly falling off the bones. Mildly flavored so the sauces did save the day. Cornbread side is moist and fluffy. I did notice that to go orders ($28.33 before tax) cost a bit more than advertised special ($26.99, see attached picture), perhaps that's normal for them? Just have not seen that elsewhere. Absolutely recommend you give them a try, the burgers are on point, plenty of French fries or a salad if you prefer. I have had the chili dog, the brisket sandwich and the Philadelphia and all of them are delicious. You could easily share the food, or save some for later. Ever since I started working and living in the area I've been on the lookout for decent bbq joints. Somehow though I've never come across Pig n' Pig before. And that's a shame because it turns out there's a tremendous stop for bbq right in my backyard. Not only were the pork ribs well above average, but I found the burnt ends and baked beans some of the best I've had in California. I would definitely call those the standout items on the menu. I think the only lackluster side was the mashed potatoes, but--I mean--how much can you do with potatoes mashed to all hell? If anything I appreciated that it was one item that I could fall back on to get away from the strong presence of the baked beans and burnt ends. I had hoped the ribs were a bit better as that is my favorite bbq staple, especially St. Louis ribs, but it's very hard to compete when I've had some of the best ribs in the country. It still won't stop me from ordering it and--who knows--this may have just been an off day. Again, order the burnt ends and baked beans, because those really rocked my socks off at first bite. Hurry before the owner figures it out. The baby back ribs are the thickest most tender ribs around. Monday is full rack at a reduced price, great sides. I'm 6'4" -310# and cannot eat a full rack. BBQ beans are tender with a snap and not overcooked. My friend had the meatloaf sandwich mixed smoked meats amazing. I also order it w a side of blue cheese gravy which brings the dish over the top w yummy-ness. The fries are a huge portion and enough to serve 2 people. I only order that and call it a day. I appreciate the portion size though, and if you come w a group of friends, it's definitely a nice shareable size. My friend decided to go here for his birthday and we were all seriously disappointed, for the most part. The female server has no serving etiquette. She came to ask for our orders only to come back to ask for drink orders. Yes food orders first. Waters were served and 2 beers. All the other drinks were forgotten until we waved her down to remind her. When she put things down she slammed them down while reaching across 1 to 2 people instead of inbetween. She continued this even while cleaning up. The food was ok. Tri tip, pork belly and pulled pork were tasty but the sausage tasted as if it was boiled to the point it was tasteless without any snap. I had the "I want all the meat" sandwich and believe the butter grilled buns ia what saved the sandwich. Tasted the corn and it was Luke warm and almost no taste. Over boiled again? Chili was more of a stew. Finally desert was orordered. Creme Brulee and bread pudding. Bread pudding had something missing because the taste was off and the creme brulee was so tiny I could have finished it in one night. The flavor was off to. Food: Tri-tip, pork and beef was all good, but I gotta say what threw me over the top was that Mac and cheese. Wow, I probably could have eaten a whole tub of that! It was spicy but not too much that it was unbearable. Looks like they make their own BBQ sauce also, both flavors were pretty good. Coleslaw was also unique and very good. Atmosphere: It's a little small inside, take what you can get. But don't bring a super huge party, probably 10 tables total? Service: Waiter was fine, no complaints but seemed a little preoccupied. Again, not a big deal but if you want good tips, you gotta "ham" it up (see what I did there with the pig reference?)... Price: Not bad actually, 3-plate is 28$ and it is very filling. Some of the extras are a bit more expensive than the standard ones, so if I go back I would try a few of those. Overall: I'm not like a HUGE fan of BBQ, so I wouldn't call myself a connoisseur or anything, but I thought it was pretty dang good. I recently heard this BBQ place mentioned by friends then accidentally stumbled upon it while having breakfast at Our Nest as it's in the same strip mall. The delicious smokey smells emanating from Pig N Pig solidified my decision to return later that same day for dinner. The interior is small but adequate with several big screens around the room, each tuned to different channels (not just sports) with volume off. We were promptly seated and our orders soon taken. I decided on a half rack of pork ribs which come with two sides. I chose corn bread and baked beans plus a sweet tea to drink. The ribs were very meaty, exceptionally tender, and had a nice smokey flavor. They provide both homemade spicy and sweet sauces on the table but I barely used any because I was enjoying the flavor of the ribs without any sauce. The cornbread was superb as it was moist and didn't crumble all over the place plus had bits of corn here and there. The beans were also excellent, covered in something similar to the house sweet sauce and tiny bits of brisket (I think) added. And the sweet tea was just what you'd expect if you were in a southern state. Random other things of note: Service was friendly and attentive. The single "gender neutral" restroom was immaculate. There's plenty of parking in the lot. Prices were in line with what you'd see at any BBQ place. If you're a completely insane meat lover they have a "I Want All The Meat" sandwich with pulled pork, brisket, pork belly, sausage, etc. piled within a bun. It's massive and my friend loved it but had to take some home (I didn't try it so not included in my rating but wow, it looked both amazing and daunting). read more
