5 stars to Christa and James for stellar service with a smile!!! Imagine a CAVA that greets you warmly, warns you about the beef upcharge for premium and gives you according to your desire in a kind and generous manner. Salted oat meal cookie was perfection. Their warm pita wedge was DIVINE!!! Their pickled red onions are LIFE ALTERING JOY MAKING goodness!!! They really made my day. Even though this is farther away from my house i will go back to this location...ALWAYS!!! Clean with great vibes all around. Well staffed. FYI - the beef steak is a little chewy though / gristly. :/ To everyone wearing dentures: watch out!!! Lol

OMG Briton is the absolute BEST. Amazing customer service and extremely helpful! The food is fresh and delicious. Again, say hi to briton if he's there, he's an angel !!!

This place is great ! The workers are great vibe, young fast and clean food. The healthy options are unbelievable. One of the best choices in downtown Brea rn

Double meat bowls. $50 worth of food. Did they run out of stuff in the back?

Ordered pick up and there was literally NO FOOD in our $50 order. We usually get a bowl filled to the top. This time no food, even in the "double chicken" bowl there's nothing. Called and no answer and it says to submit a report online. Total BS.

$12.95 for build-your-own bowl + $1.95 for honey harissa chicken. Pita chips were free.

Cava is Mediterranean food with a build-your-own meal style system similar to Chipotle. After visiting, I can see why so many people I know speak favorably about this place. Customized bowls seem fairly priced at $12.95 given the quality and quantity of food you receive. The price does jump up considerably once you start adding extras or premium items (like the Harissa Honey Chicken for an extra $1.95). I think the best thing to do is just stick to the normal selections. All the dips and sauces you add end up coating everything and dominate the flavors in it (also they do offer a harissa dip and a harissa vinaigrette dressing anyway). I like how fresh the ingredients are and the generous size of the bowl. It's good but I don't think it's worth waiting in a long line for. This day they offered free Pita Chips with orders. I know this sounds odd but they tasted just like Keebler's Club Crackers. I do think they should have eased up on the salt and pepper seasoning a bit. I couldn't finish it because of how salty mine was.

Ordered online for takeout for lunch and I made my own bowl! When I got there, my bowl was ready pretty quick based on the time I put online. Worker who served me was kind and friendly. My bowl was delicious!! I got the chicken with all the toppings that I like. To be honest, I was not a fan of Cava before, I don't know what was wrong with me. It def grew on me though. It's also very affordable! About 13 bucks for a great portion of food for lunch, so worth it! Since I work close to this Cava location, I'll be coming back at least once a week for a high-quality chicken bowl.

Food was so good and the customer service was so good! and the inside of store was so clean and everyone was so friendly.

There is a new Cava located in Brea and their interior is all brand new and so beautiful! I've heard mixed reviews about there are long waits during rush hours. I did not want to take chance so I placed my order online so I can just come pick it up. I got the grains chicken bowl with saffron rice and 2 sides. I must say the 2 sides look like 1 side lol - they are small portions! I'm glad I did the online order because there was a long line when I arrived. I loved how all the orders are neatly placed with your first and last name on the pick up shelves so it's a grab and go when you arrive. My grains bowl did not disappoint - it was fresh, delicious, and healthy too :)

This was my bowl after I opened it and mixed it. Looks like a half eaten bowl doesn't it?

Normally I LOVE Cava but this one just didn't do it for me. Came in when no one was there and watched them put barely any rice in my GRAINS and greens bowl. This was apparently a trend for the entire bowl since it was half empty at checkout. I came with my friend who also received what looked like a half empty bowl. Do Better

1/4 a pita broken in half are chips, it's not even a pita anymore.

**DISAPPOINTED VISIT** Every Friday after volleyball practice my daughter ask to go to Cava for a Kid's Pita so I take her here for dinner. Today Jan 9 Upon ordering we were told that policy change and that kids pita is now 1/4 a Pita instead 1/2. And that the fried pita chip or carrots is no longer included. The physical menu has not change (this is what we were told is the way now ). My daughter was hungry and still wanted it. But this is a sad cost saving at the expense of children. What is even the company cost saving of 1/4 pita and 2 chips? This is the absolutely terrible policy. Please reconsider your policy. Remember when a child eats at your establishment, a parent or whole family dines too. We will consider other places to eat because of this. Take a look at this meal, it's not a pita.

This was my second time at this location and both times the wait was too long. The garlic ranch pita chips were extremely salty and inedible. I also got regular pita chips and both were soft in the middle and not crunchy. I love salt and if I found it salty it's definitely salty! My meal overall was mediocre. Even though there were tons of add ons but lacked flavor overall. The price and long wait just aren't worth it. I'd skip it next time.

Finally checked out the cava that opened up in Brea not long ago. I was a bit concerned because of all the mixed reviews, but I had a very positive experience. I got there around 1:30, so it was still very much a a lunch rush crowd. The service was great, the person who took my order was courteous and helpful when I asked about the different options etc. think of this place as the Mediterranean version of chipotle. Build your bowl and choose the ingredients and toppings you want. The bowl itself was tasty, for my proteins I got half chicken and half roasted veggies. They are a little pricey, but I feel like the bowls are big enough to have left overs for the next day. Overall a good experience, I'd come back here again.

We sat for 30 min and food was left on tables as customers came in and out.

The Salad came with a vinaigrette dressing not sure how fresh they are since the lettuce seemed to bee soggy from the vinaigrette. The roasted Vegetables where over cooked to where the asparagus resembled a dried grass weed. Food was ok nothing special. Staff was fine, washroom need to be checked more often since there was paper all over the floor and the hand washing area was completely wet as if some one had used it to bathe. It was amusing once paying the tab since the waitress selected the percent she wanted for tip and then proceeded to ask if I was ok with the amount, when I questioned it she then got nervous and said it was a company policy and again asked if I was ok with the amount. Well, no. I , as a customer should be able to select what I choose to leave as a tip. My question is if you are already selecting an amount why ask me as though I have a choice if when I question it you give me no choice but to select what you have already selected for me. And then you ask if I want to leave an additional tip. Why would I.

But where Pita Hot sets itself apart from those places is the community. When you walk in, you're greeted with smiles, a question about how your day is, and if you've been there a few times, a quick "how's the wife and kids?" Although some people may see the price tags and wince, they do not skimp on portions. They will fill your plate to the absolute brim, give you one huge pita, and send you on your way. The flavors on the food are nothing to scoff at either. The hummus, tabbouleh, and beef skewer are absolute hits. Flavorful bites with the perfect amount of balance between the acidity of the tabbouleh, the light and rich hummus, and the meatiness of the beef. The shrimp skewer is tasty as well but not something I think I'd get again. The rice pairs well with everything, and as I've mentioned before, the humongous pita they give you is delicious as well. A three skewer plate is enough for two people! All in all, Pita Hot has been around this long for a reason. Their business model and recipes are tried and true. Overall, 9/10.

Plenty of seating area with ability to accommodate larger parties, and feels family friendly. The only shortcoming they have is that their fruit section tastes consistently unappealing, and some of the desserts don't tastes too great either. But at least their main dishes taste good. For dinner on the weekdays it's only a few dollars more ($29). On weekends it's $33 all day. I mention the price because I consider it a no-brainer for a weekday lunch. I agree with the criticism that the protein options can be limited. You aren't going to be getting filet mignon kabobs for lunch. But their chicken options, their fried fish filet, and their gyro meat is not bad. If you are looking for the premium kabobs, there are many Mediterranean options in the area that you can get that. What makes this place truly worth it are their delicious salad options, their warm, house made pita bread, their abundant options of spreads (hummus, baba ghanoush, garlic sauce). The multiple options for mediterranean salads are really what I crave from here. For $22, if I can have a multi course meal featuring 4-5 types of refreshing salads, fish filet, warm pita with hummus, a gyro (assembled on your own with their ingredients), a soft drink, and baklava. Considering the fact that I spend $16 on a combo meal at Carl's Jr or a salad wrap at Sweetgreen, this is truly a no brainer. If you do come here for dinner ($29-33), know that you can special order their braised lamb shank. I like to eat this with the pita bread, some roasted veggies, and one of their delicious spreads, but you do what you like.
