The staff greeted us immediately and we didn't have to wait for a table on a Friday night and got seated right away. The food in AMAZING here! Sure it might cost $20 for a burger but the burgers and sandwiches are MASSIVE!!! And everything was insanely delicious and super flavorful. Even with a reservation, there was a brief 10-15-minute wait. The food was absolutely delicious! Our server Shane was incredibly attentive and checked in on us constantly. He even got creative when I asked about the spinach dip; while it usually comes with bread and don't serve it with chips. Shane suggested fried wontons instead, and they actually paired even better than the chips would have. The place is cozy, and modern. It has a comfortable booth and a bar but not too loud - perfect for any occasion. Located in downtown Brea, parking could be hectic during busy hours. While there is no dedicated lot or street parking directly in front, there is a nearby parking structure, and depending on where you park in the structure, it might be a bit of a walk. We ran in before a Concert to grab a bit to eat. We were going to go to Yard House, because we both had gift cards, but the bar was packed and there was a 45 minute wait for a table. So we ate at Reunion. I'm so glad that we did! We sat at the bar, because I live sitting at the bar. We got the calamari, the poke stack (now it's poke tacos) and some beers. My only complaints on the poke was that the avocado was diced too large, it made it awkward to eat and there wasn't enough fried chips to eat all of the tuna. I have been to Reunion Kitchen + Drink in Anaheim so I was excited to see that they opened a new location in Brea. They are located in the downtown area with a convenient public lot behind the restaurant and parking garages a block away. The area is nice to walk around at afterwards if you are looking to hang out. I came here for a business meeting because I know their food is delicious with a lot of variety to choose from for all appetizes and dietary restrictions. They have 2 entrances, but the hostess bar is only on one side of the restaurant. The windows were nice and open and they weather was nice so we decided to sit at a large booth by the windows. Oh and just to note, the restrooms are located outside of the restaurant. My colleague had the Blackened Halibut Sandwich ($29.95) with tater tots and I had the Chicken Pot Pie ($21.95). My colleague really enjoyed his sandwcih and tots. I really liked my pot pie as well. It was super creamy and rich and I appreciate that it was served with a side of vegetables as well. Yum. We also shared a Warm Butter Cake ($12.95) and asked for the ice cream on the side since my colleague is lactos, but it came with the ice cream on top. We asked for sharing plates and they only brought one. Anyways, on a brighter note, I really love the butter cake and my colleague was in agreement. Love the food and the ambiance, but there was room for improvement with the service throughout the day. Pricing is a bit above average for a lunch meal. Hopefully they improve on my future visits. Once inside, the lighting is on the dimmer side--so if you're coming with someone who has trouble seeing in low light, be prepared to pull out your phone flashlight just to read the menu. I went with two friends and we shared the Brussels sprouts and spinach dip. The Brussels sprouts were cooked well, but the flavoring leaned a little too sweet for my taste. House spinach dip, which I really enjoyed. It was flavorful without being overly creamy, and they served it with a generous portion of bread. My main was the sliced steak and potato salad. The steak was cooked perfectly and super tender, the potatoes were well-seasoned, and the salad was fresh. The only downside was that the dressing on the salad was a bit heavy for me. There's some parking in the back and a parking garage close by. We ordered the following: * Double Oklahoma Smash Burger $24.95 Comes with a side of shoestring fries, slaw, or potato salad. This was good and portion was huge but nothing too special. The fries were also really salty. Also surprised there wasn't more burger options. * Beer Battered Fish and Chips $26.95 Comes with a thai peanut slaw and shoestring fries. Portion was also big and filling. First time here, I didn't know what to expect. For appetizers we got the Avocado Wontons and calamari. Crave alert!! The avocado wontons have fresh watermelon on top. This was so refreshing with a citrus kick. I will be craving this appetizer for a while!! It was mouthwatering delish! We hade the cioppino and tequila lime shrimp for dinner - um.. yuuuummmm. The sauce in the tequila lime was buttery with a hint of mescal. I could totally swim in that sauce. My husband said his Cioppino was mid. I don't even know if I'm spelling it right. I had brunch here with my husband and some friends. It was good, wished they had better coffee options, like lattes or iced coffee, especially for a trendy place like this. The food options were ok, but I can't stand biscuits so bummed that I wasn't able to sub that out, so I settled for the chilaquiles which was good. Nice decent bar size area with televisions surrounding for games, etc. We watched the Dodgers game and had a fantastic time. I had the homemade pot pie, Asian wings, and clam chowder. Everything was made fresh to order, hot, and was delicious. The wings were tender and very flavorful. The pot pie was very good and nice flaky crust. Clam chow bet was creamy and filled with goodness. Lol. The service by David was phenomenal. He was so fun and wonderful. He made out 1st time here very pleasantly. He was very honest and accommodating. I ordered a Ruby Red grapefruit martini that was unbelievably great. I will go back and try brunch next. Stopped by my old stomping grounds for dinner with a friend & tried Reunion for the first time & food did not disappoint. The name is fitting as it truly was a reunion dinner. We got the citrus salmon salad and veggie burger with shoe string fries. The veggie burger on brioche was delicious! They also use a house made patty with only 12 ingredients. For dessert we did a warm butter cake paired with chamomile tea. Food was great, service was a bit slow but I think they were understaffed during rush hour. I've been wanting to check out Reunion for a while now but never got the time or chance to. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out a class I signed up for was having an optional dinner after the first day of class here. I'm normally the type to not attend but forced myself to get out of my comfort zone and I'm so glad I did! Definitely helps when you're in the midst of good company with like minded individuals who also love to eat. My new friend and I both happened to have ordered the same dish - the special going on that day which happened to be the hangar steak. We both agreed that it was so yummy and also enjoyed the desserts we ordered as a group: butter cake, lemon bar, and the chocolate cake. We all had our individual favorites which helped divide up the portions amongst all of us. A controversial take I had after was that I felt this butter cake was much better than Mastro's butter cake. =P Service was also amazing! I've been to Reunion once before in Anaheim Hills a couple years ago, and was looking forward to them opening one in Brea! I'll start by saying that apparently they opened months ago, which I was surprised to hear! I was under the impression it was still under construction, and truthfully their location is awkward. It's attached to the Improv and their host stand shares the entrance area. We walked toward the back and on the side of the street, opened a side door that put us in the middle of the restaurant, and only then found the actual entrance. It wasn't super clear and considering they're a newer spot it might be confusing for someone who's never been. I only found out they were open through a google search ! Still aside from that the restaurant itself is nice. It's clean and has a great vibe for dates or group gatherings. Our server Kendall was awesome! She was super friendly and answered all our questions about the menu and even gave us drinks suggestions! Now I don't know what was happening at the bar, but our cocktails didn't arrive until after our food came out. Our server would check on us and check on the drinks, but it seemed to me that the bartenders were having trouble getting the drinks out. Not a big deal in the grand scheme, but we definitely saw other larger tables sat after us get their drinks way faster. Still, Kendall was attentive and made sure we were taken care of! Food and drink wise I really enjoyed my meal! Our cocktails tasted great and my fried chicken was very tasty. The sandwich my partner ordered was truthfully a little dry and bland, but it was nothing that some sauce couldn't fix. For dessert we ordered the butter cake which was good. It was a little custard on the top but the bottom of it was more like traditional butter cake. Overall we had a great meal! Their bar is open seating but it is popular. They have no corkage fee for the first bottle so we decided to bring one of our wines. The staff were super welcoming and helpful. We took our time with the menu. This is a family friendly bar restaurant with a modern feel to it. It's on the darker side but not too dark. The tables are spacious and the bar is at the end so if you are with kids, you are separate from the bar. We came during lunch time on a Friday so the prime rib was not being served yet. We wanted to try the deviled eggs so we ordered it as a started. They were DELICIOUS! I could come here just for these! I felt like steak so ordered the flank steak and my bf got the braised rib. His meat was so tender it was breaking off. My steak was really good, but I would've hoped it was actually medium rare closer to the rare like I ordered vs medium well. Going into trying this place for the first time, my wife and I were very excited because we had been walking past the construction and watching the progress as it was renovated for so long. We were very eager to try this place and hopefully make it a regular place to visit! But after trying it for the first time we had very mixed feelings. The restaurant itself is very beautifully renovated and has everything in place to be a trendy popular spot! The service was good too, the staff were attentive but I can't say it really stood out. They were nice but at some point it just felt like they were just turning tables. Considering we went realitively soon after the opening and early in the evening, I would have expected a bit more warm and enthusiastic. Despite that, we were still excited to get the food and I will say the presentation was very nice. And the food did look good. However, everything we ordered tasted a bit bland and it left us underwhelmed. I'd give it three stars because our overall experience wasn't bad but just left us wanting a bit more. I was hoping for healthier options and didn't find much, so I settled on the salmon salad. It was fine, but definitely not worth the price tag--I'd say more like $10 less. My friends ordered sandwiches and burgers, and one of them had the steak and potato salad, which she really enjoyed. Not a fan of this drink, but I'm glad I gave it a try. - House Spinach Dip: Huge portion size. The dip includes tomatoes, jalapeños, and artichoke. Amazing flavor in all the food we got and the atmosphere here is very nice and amazing inside. I got the chicken pot pie and it was amazing, a 10/10 and my girlfriend got the Crispy Pancetta Pasta and it was also amazing with so many flavors. A 10/10 as well and our server was amazing.
