Great place for families and friends to gather.
Vanessa G.

As my previous review from a few years ago states, this is a great place to have a party. I hosted a party here on the 4th of July. The restaurant was originally going to open at 12, but I knew my guests would be arriving earlier. I spoke with the owner John a few days before and he accommodated to open at 11. That was so kind of him. Everyone loved the food and the service. I will continue to choose this place to host large parties. Thanks again to John and his amazing team!

Stopped by Bowery Pizza in Fullerton during the early lunch hour and it was nice and calm, made it a really relaxing place to eat. The music was a vibe and the decor is fun and different, it's giving man cave vibes meets arcade. I ordered the pepperoni pizza and a Caesar salad. The pizza hit the spot, good flavor and a solid pepperoni the Caesar salad was pretty solid cold crunch! lastly the service was perfect friendly bartender. *Don't sell individual slices

This place is awesome! Always something to do, always lively, always someone you know and always the greatest people working. You can't really beat it and then there's the food. It's fantastic no matter what you get and they don't just have Pizza. They have pasta, sandwiches, salads to die for! Tons of appetizers, and their buffalo wings are out of this world. Don't forget to bring the whole family because they have games galore as well and it's a great time had for all just like the good old pizza parlor days. Thursday, Friday and Saturday you can warm up your pipes on karaoke night.

Stopped in with friends after having some wine and snacks at twisted wine. Fairly busy! Very noisy! That said it was a good evening with terrific food and good friends! I thought there loaded tots were delicious as well as the carnivores pizza we had!

Was walking back to the hotel after a long night and heard the beat and laughter even though the door was closed and I just had to come in. As soon as I walked in there was a play area. Basketball. Air hockey. Etc. and as you continue you it turns into the bar, seating, and dance floor. It was karaoke happening when we walked in. And everyone was loving it and in such a good movie. It was super lively even though it was 1am. Didn't eat but they serve food. Alcohol was cheap. I had a beer and a tequila soda. The Allagash White beer was phenomenal.

We come here specifically for karaoke with Jackie. She's the best, and the sound system is good! Drinks and service are fine. Bathroom is typically clean, and there's often space to move around in the bar. The only issue is that sometimes the people playing pool get in the way of the screens of people singing karaoke. You can, however go wherever you want in the bar to sing, but I just like doing it close to where I grab the mic.

went to karaoke saturday last night and had a great time! our pizza was delicious and the vibes were up courtesy of KJ Jackie! we ordered at the counter when we arrived and chose where we wanted to sit, and then our food was brought to our table very shortly after. there's arcade games, and pool, but we came for the karaoke and we weren't disappointed! love how the mics are wireless so you can really perform and get the crowd going.

12" pizza in a 10" box?
Michael B.

Ordered a 12" pizza last night, and it looked quite small. I flipped the box over and noticed a 10" print. Why the false advertisement on Uber Eats? Pizza was good, but a 9" pizza was too small for 2 ppl.

The best pizza I've ever had! They have so many beers on tap too. Nora took our order & she was so Gen Z coded! She ATE down on our food order. She was so funny too! She gave us the number "67" & did the little dance (extra tip for her) #clockedit

1/2 off wings , buffalo style on Mondays and Thursdays during football. Wish they weren't breaded but they were good

Don't bother placing an order in advance. it'll never be made and they'll tell you every five minutes that it's ready for 30 minutes.

Let me tell you why I keep coming back here…read more It's not just the beer, although Bootleggers has plenty of that. It's the patio. There's something about the outdoor space here that makes Bootleggers feel like a little beer oasis tucked just far enough away from the hustle of downtown Fullerton. There are plenty of covered tables, lots of shade, and a large, permanently covered section with a giant TV showing sports and other important television events. When they have live music, it's usually the kind that actually improves the atmosphere rather than taking it over, you know, good musicians, good music, but still chill enough that you can have a conversation. And, of course, there's the beer. They have a really solid and diverse selection, with several IPAs, stouts, seltzers, and other options usually available, plus a selection of beers from other local breweries. It's hard to imagine coming here and not finding something you like. If you can't you're just an openly hostile person. Consider meditation. There's a food truck parked along the side that has basically become part of the Bootleggers landscape. And while outside food is no longer allowed, that's not really a hardship because the food is actually pretty damn good. The sandwiches, salads, and other offerings are all solid, but the fried pickles are the real reason I keep coming back. They're cut lengthwise, breaded just right, and fried until they're perfectly crunchy. Basically big, tart, crunchy submarines of fair food fun. I have a difficult time going to Bootleggers without ordering them. Every. Single. It's close enough to downtown Fullerton to walk to, but just far enough off the beaten path that the patio feels removed from the usual bar scene chaos. The street is nearby, but you barely notice it. It's just a nice place to sit outside, drink a good beer, listen to some music, watch a game, and hang out for a while. Sometimes you don't need another crowded bar with loud music and a $16 cocktail. Sometimes you just want a good beer, some shade, and a plate of ridiculously good fried pickles. Bootleggers does that really well.

Why would anyone go there during Happy Hour? You're just throwing your money away if you are. I'm not paying $10 plus tip for a beer that I have to walk up to the counter to get. Makes no sense to me.

Yea you can bring your dogs to the outside patio area. But its funny how the majority of people think their dogs are more well behaved then they really are. If i come back I'll try to sit inside. The menus were sticky and crumbly from being too wet. Not very great to touch. They have a late night happy hour, which starts after 8pm. Yes they have a lot of things that are on their regular menu that appears in their HH menu. The HH alternatives were not good, and yea they are a couple bucks cheaper, but Ill stick to their regular menu offerings next time. For example their flat bread was basically on toasted sourdough bread. Their ahi tuna had more fluff in it then tuna. It just wasent worth. Customer service was not good. I think our waitress was annoyed that we waited to order more food, until it was happy hour. Yea all 4 of us only ordered 1 entrees, but we did order a bunch of apps and 1 drink each. But took forever to pay our bill. I almost jist went up to the front. The wait was ridiculous. Easy 20 min wait. And the crazy thing was she just kept going to the other tables around us and basically ignored us. Were trying to get out of your (very short) hair girl. Take my money and let us go. Like c'mon, not cool. Yes the food is ok. Better last time without ordering from their HH menu. Drinks are good. So many other restaurants to try around. Dont know if Ill be back.

However, you don't always want to feel like you're trying too hard to change your scenery, bumping you too far out of your comfort zone. The answer my friends, is the good old classic American dive bar. Now, many places like to call themselves a dive bar just because they never clean a single inch of their establishment and have seedy patrons that love to play the more than occasional 80's songs on the jukebox but don't be mistaken, a good dive bar is hard to find. Well, I happen to have found one and it's in Fullerton of all places. That's right, Fullerton, not Los Angeles, nor Hollywood nor some pop-culturally over-hyped city. What makes The Blue Door a good dive bar? First, there's earned consistency & routine. The drinks won't always be made well, or the bartender won't always be attentive but if you come a few times, you'll soon know at what time and day the drinks are made properly by knowing the schedules of the bartenders. Secondly, the drinks are stiff, the service is friendly and nobody bothers you unless you bother them. The atmosphere goes from lively and loud to quiet and solitary, again depending upon when you visit. Lastly, they're open from 6:00AM-2:00AM. They're not just there when the hipsters are around, they're there for you whenever you make the bad decision of using alcohol as an anesthetic. Stay searching for the last remains of Americana my friends....
