What a gem. Our party of 4 had the best time enjoying the food and wine at Maison Fox. Knew nothing about natural wines but David, our server and sommelier, provided the lowdown of the wine list and steered us in the right direction after listening to our preferences (how he managed to juggle multiple tables and large groups ALONE should also be noted and applauded). The food options are not plentiful but definitely was enough for our group to order every item on the menu and leave feeling more than satisfied (closer to stuffed). David was telling us that they are still in the process for getting permits approved for a true kitchen since Maison Fox was just a wine bar prior to being Benchmark (whose restaurant in Santa Ana is highly recommended). Pretty impressive the chef was able to create these dishes in what essentially is a makeshift kitchen. The space? Chic on the inside, charming and so inviting. I guess the patio area was not dog friendly before but it is now according to David. I'm eager to come back with our pup and enjoy more of their wonderful food and wine. Well done! read more

My favorite place of all time the ambience is lowkey and perfect to talk about anything. Grab a glass and enjoy conversation with light music in the background, ideal for a date night or date day! I've been here multiple times and the severs are always kind and insightful, the world of natural wine is new to me but this place is a must try and go to! It made me really happy to come back to this place and see it looking so refreshed. You can really feel the Benchmark quality here, in all the right ways. We were there this past Sunday, and honestly, there couldn't have been a better way to wrap up the week than with a great plate of pasta, fresh bread, and a glass of red wine. Maison Fox really surprised me. The bread alone is worth the trip, but what stood out most was the wine selection. I'm not the biggest wine drinker, but I actually loved what they offered here. The rosé and white were smooth and subtle, while the orange wine was something I didn't think I'd enjoy but ended up being one of my favorites. Outside, they also had a little shop selling merch, and I ended up taking home a candle. The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive without being overbearing. What a cute, tucked away spot in Fullerton! Maison Fox has an unassuming front entry, but once you walk inside it is quite charming with an indoor space and a back patio that transports you to the Mediterranean. The staff were very friendly and helpful in providing recommendations from their wine list and very attentive to us through your visit. Truly a gorgeous hidden gem. My boyfriend and I have been wanting to check out this place for a while and finally found the time. Maison Fox is tucked away behind its little store front. We found street parking and walked inside where we were greeted by a worker. It was empty when we went as we came super early, almost just at opening. We sat outside and there are multiple chairs and tables. They had fire warmer/patio heaters as it got colder in the night. Our waiter (I totally forgot their name) was super patient and helpful as he explained natural wines and what he liked. He also brought me a blanket, noticing that I was a little cold! We ordered some wine, bread and butter, and olives. We got complimentary chips as well. I could not recall what wine we got but honestly I did not like my wine as it was very pungent perhaps because it was natural(?) but that's not Maison Fox's fault. We ate, chatted, and enjoyed ourselves for a couple of hours. Since we were by ourselves it kinda felt like we were hanging out in a backyard, which was nice. This natural wine bar is in a unsuspecting neighborhood but it has a pleasing aesthetic outdoor area. Prices are standard here but the small bites are few. Occasionally they will have a special event featuring local cooks to serve a full on dinner or light bites. They have heaters spaced out to keep you warm in the evening. The owner was kind and he offered great service. My only gripe is that one of the servers did not seem to have a grasp of the wine menu and could not describe the wines listed. I would have been fine if he had asked a coworker for help but we were left to choose for ourselves. Also, when bringing the wine and water glasses, he noticeable held onto the glasses with his fingers grabbing into the glass. This unsanitary practice should be fixed. read more

My husband and I came here to try the natural wines. I've had some before but this was his first time. We came on a Thursday and had the place to ourself. We met Max and he was so kind and knowledgeable. He made great recommendations based on the wines we normally drink. We each had two glasses of wine and ended up bringing home two bottles. My wife and I have been going here for years. This is a natural wine bar that is very homey. It's so nice to relax with a glass of wine here. They newly started having indoor seating, but my favorite is still relaxing in the back patio. They have a huge selection of wine, and a selection of snack foods to go with your wine. Service is always good here, and most of the time you are more than likely to catch the owners here making sure everyone is having a good time. On your way out, they do have a store front if you wanted to buy extra goodies to take home with you, especially wine bottles. I highly suggest you inquire about their wine membership as it is super worth it. I get 2 bottles of wines a month with my membership, and all members get invites to special events and 1 to 2 wine glasses for practically free on member Mondays for only 1 cent per glass! You get the 2nd wine glass if the member invites a guest. Yes, that's every Monday! And as a member, you don't have to be there to get this deal, a member can invite 2 guests of their choosing to sit in place of them. Mondays are a perfect excuse to go out and drink some wine because we then pick up our membership bottles after. This place comes highly recommended. read more

I usually don't post reviews but I came here the other night with a group of 7 girls. I didn't realize gratuity was included in the bill and added an additional tip on top of the already included service charge, and our waiter (male, long curly brown hair with a long denim skirt) after already processing the transaction came back out to me and explained the situation and refunded my tip. He could have easily gotten away with it but chose honesty and transparency, and it meant the world. Wonderful customer service.
