Banana Foster Beignets
Jennifer F.

Such a quick and yummy experience! This shop is conveniently located in the HK Plaza's Haven City Market. The market is a huge food court that at times offers live music performances outside (we were lucky enough to catch a rock performance- amazing)! Although they have plenty of parking, it can get very busy during afternoon hours- come with time and patience especially on weekends. We entered through one of the outdoor areas and found this beignet spot near the middle of the market on the "back wall". There was no line and the front desk staff was very helpful in answering our questions. After ordering we were given a little pager to return once our order was ready; I simply went to grab a matcha next door and it was ready! So yummy and full of lots of great flavors- we couldn't finish the whole thing even though we really did try haha! I will definitely return when I'm craving beignets.

Beignets are freshly made and taste delicious. The chocolate and berry sauce are both tasty. Beignets are better fresh than warming up for later. Staff have always been kind. Be aware sometimes there is a wait if a lot of people are waiting for beignets. Located inside Haven City so there is lots of seating inside and outside. They do have a table directly in front of their storefront and a few stools.

Bloody Amazinggg!! Now that's a bold statement. Let's begin this new dessert spot BEIGNET SPOT EXPRESS is a dessert spot that offer guess what? Beignet! It is the classic New Orleans dessert served fresh and warm, dusted generously with powdered sugar and signature airy texture. As a native NYorker, I never tasted nor heard a Beignet dessert. Hence, my lack of Southern states' food joint. Anyway, I had a classic 4 pcs Beignet and it was made to order, so you'll definitely have it fresh, warm and soft. After consuming a piece, my tastebuds were elated and craved for more. I got powdery after consuming all of them. Hehe. A fair warning! Staff (prolly the owner/GM & baker) were very affable and professional. Customer service was bloody warm. Prices were fantastic. And the quality was absolutely fantastic. Moreover, they have merch for customers. Overall, I honestly enjoyed my very first Beignet experience. I highly recommend this dessert shop.

Located inside the Haven City Food Court, this small bakery-style business is very nice. Their specialty is the beignets, which they have perfected. We ordered beignets, and they were delicious and fresh. Each one was heavily dusted with powdered sugar, so be sure not to wear black when ordering this item. Service was excellent, with employees friendly and welcoming, and the overall vibe here is fun and inviting.

10/10 great desserts and great customer service! I ordered the 8piece beignets at $9.95 + 0.95 tax = $10.90 The beignets were warm and delicious! Definitely a lot closer than Disneyland for me. I'd definitely come back and get more or try one of their shakes! So if you're ever in the area and want a sweet treat, stop by. You'll enjoy this sweet treat!

My FIRST Time trying these Beignets. I was just roaming around Haven City Market & passed by the Beignets... SONG OF THE DAY to play along to this YELP REVIEW: Sweet Seasons by Carole King... It kind of reminded me of the Chinese Donuts. I wished I have gotten more but, that's alright I can go back next time to get some more. SERVICE: A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ PARKING: PLENTY!!!! ROCK ON BEIGNET SPOT EXPRESS!!!!!

Food: Classic 4 Pack Beignets with deep fried goodness and powdered sugar Service: everything is made-to-order Design: inside the Haven City Market Food Hall in West Covina Overall: there is not many spots to get fresh beignets, so this is a great place to get them hot and fresh; remember to not breath in the powdered sugar while you eat them

These beignets are to die for. Warm, fluffy deliciousness at its best. Ordering was easy, I placed my order at the kiosk and received a text when it was ready. It gave me the opportunity to walk around and look at all the other available food options in the plaza.

Got some classic beignets 8 pieces. They were delicious! There was only self checkout for ordering. For pick up it was phone notifications. The service was bad, I was waiting to get the staff's attention, there was a gentleman in front of me asking for napkins but they ran out and he asked if there's anywhere he can get some and the staff said no. After he walks away the staff turns away and didn't offer if they can help me. So I had to say "excuse me!" The beignet was good but the service was meh.

I've stopped by Beignet Spot Express before for their beignets, which are always warm, fluffy, and delicious. On this most recent visit, I decided to try one of their coffee milkshakes, and I'm glad I did. It was smooth, rich, and exactly the kind of sweet pick-me-up I wanted. Ordering was easy, the server was kind, and the drink came out pretty fast. It made the drive home a whole lot sweeter. I'll definitely be back to rotate between the beignets and more of their drinks.

I've tried this place before and I remembered them being quite good! The place looked like it was empty at first but since it was pretty early and around opening time it makes sense for them to not be busy. It was quite clean and brightly decorated. When they did start taking orders, service was a bit slow this day but it could be that we came right when they opened and just started to prepare for service. The beignets had a huge dusting of powdered sugar, we cut them in half to share and it immediately deflated. The outer part is crispy but towards the middle it was a bit undercooked and doughy. It might've needed more time in the fryer but the powdered sugar sort of masked the taste of the doughy parts. Overall it was okay, it's nice to try and have a sweet pick me up!

Beignet express is another little gem that's hidden amongst the many restaurants inside of haven city market. It's perfect for a little sweet treat after eating at one of the establishments inside. I ordered through a self-order kiosk as I didn't see anyone in the front, however it was very simple, easy to navigate & pay. Within the next 5-10 minutes my beignets came out hot & fresh. I ordered the four pack of classic beignets which are heavily coated with powdered sugar & honey, although I was very tempted to try the peach cobbler ones. The beignets themself were perfect, very light and airy yet packed with flavor & sweet goodness. They were definitely fresh which I felt is a bonus considering the time I waited. Will definitely be back to try other flavors!

Beignet Spot Express is one of the many restaurant shops in Haven City. They serve some of the best tasting Beignets. I came on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed both indoors and the parking lot. There's not much ambiance to the place. It was basically an open-kitchen with a place to order and receive the orders, similar to a food court restaurant. Ordering was easy - you pay at a kiosk and wait for an alert that the order is ready. The beignets were decently sized, pillowy, fried to perfection. It's dusted with a generous amount of powdered sugar and comes with a fruity, tart jam sauce that cuts the sweetness of the beignets. Once you pick up the order, you can eat it at any of the Haven City tables - very convenient for getting a quick snack of dessert after a meal there.

They let me know all the different desserts and options. They also explained pricing and availability to me. They showed me all the different toppings that they have for not just ice cream and sundaes, but crêpes as well. Considering I walked in here, thinking that this was strictly an ice cream place, they have a very large menu. One thing that I remember very fondly about my visit here was not that there were a lot of people here, but the people that were dining in, they were mostly families with children. That may not seem like an important thing, but to me, seeing that is precious More often than not, you see children, their parents, and even their parents parents. So sometimes you get a small group of people, but really you have three generations. Quality time like that is absolutely precious and to see them so engaged in conversation with one another and laughing the entire time and sharing dessert, that was so awesome. Sharing ice cream with my dad at an ice cream parlor near our home is a very fond memory for me. So I guess that's why I paid attention to this while we died at scoop Street. When I took a moment to take a step back and look at our little family, we also were there in our lil three generational group: me, my kiddo & my Mom. The prices here are more than reasonable. The ice cream that is used for their desserts is from thrifty. The waffle cones are made in house and smell amazing. There really wasn't anything more than I could've asked of this visit to the ice cream shop. This was so special. Servers: Art & Austin

They have all sorts of different options - funnel cake, cookie sundaes, brownie sundaes, cookie ice cream sandwiches, deep fried oreos, etc. Everything is made fresh - i saw balls of cookie dough, my funnel cake was fried right there, and so were the oreos. The portions are generous. My favorite thing was the oreos. Im not wild about thrifty ice cream which is why i got funnel cake, but i guess i just...wasnt that into it. Ironically, Churro Boss (Covina) offers better quality ice cream than churros. I arrived at Churro Boss (Covina) on Sunday (around 2:35PM). Staff is very welcoming and attentive. Staff speaks English and Spanish. Staff answered all my questions. I ordered the Churro Sundae ($10). This dessert includes one scoop of ice cream and two six inch churros. I selected the Chocolate Malted Crunch ice cream scoop. The entire dessert was ready in eight minutes and 16 seconds. The dessert arrived picturesque. The Churro Sundae ($10) is attractive and fairly large; however, its taste is underwhelming. Although it felt like the churros were made-to-order in the backroom, the churros tasted bitter, chewy, and overcooked. These churros also lacked sweetness. Rather, these big churros tasted like chunky breadcrumbs. Fortunately, the Chocolate Malted Crunch ice cream scoop tasted delicious! It had an addictive crumbly texture. The ice cream also carried a chill and creamy chocolate flavor. Regarding ambiance, Churro Boss (Covina) is lackluster. It feels empty. The only seating is one long counter which had splotchy dried stains and crumbs. The location also has no restroom. Customers need to use their bottle of hand sanitizer or napkins if searching to clean their hands. There's two electric wall sockets in the far corner. And steady country music played in the background. Churro Boss (Covina) tries to be be modern and minimalistic. Overall, Churro Boss (Covina) offers tasty ice cream and pleasant service. Unfortunately, its churros are overpriced and somewhat unpleasant. If searching for some tasty ice cream, this location holds potential. 3.5 out of 5

I came with a group of four gals after dinner, looking for a sweet treat. And I am so glad we chose to walk a couple blocks to make up for all the ice cream we ate. I've never seen an ice cream shop so busy on a Friday night and I totally get why - because they are just that good! It was our first time, so the ice cream expert gave us a full run down of what to expect. Told us there is a little beer in all of the ice cream, similar to how there is rum in cake, and how the small amount of alcohol is for fun and won't do anything funny to us, haha! We sampled all together probably toooo many flavors and honestly couldn't pick just one. They have a great selection of non-dairy flavors, creamy rich flavors, and tart ones too. My fave. What started my group off is wanting a ice cream flight, perfect for a group of four. But we now all wanted our own flavors to eat ourselves now in much bigger cups. We ended up sharing these together anyway: Ube Coconut, Season of the Twix, Butterbeer, and Coffee. All unique and addictive in their own way. Scoops on Tap is such a gem in Covina. I am already planning my next trip back with my fiancé to show him what great ice cream makers can do. I can't wait to be back!

I ended up walking out and they're not purchasing anything. Years ago when they first opened, I used to work in one of the nearby shops and people that were so kind and reall I used to genuinely care about and support this business, but the customer service has steadily declined. Today, I walked in with my service animal. As soon as we entered, he lay down because it was extremely hot outside. Like most dogs, he was curious about the smells around him, but he remained calm and under control. The employees at the front asked whether he was a service animal, and I told them that he was. While I was trying to place my order on the tablet, no one offered to help me. My dog walked a few steps away from me while still attached to his leash. There were no other customers in the shop. One of the employees told me that if my dog continued to pull against the leash, she would have to ask me to leave. After noticing my reaction, she quietly added that I could leave him outside. I simply replied, "No, thank you," and walked out. I understand the importance of maintaining health and safety standards and following company policies, but the way this situation was handled felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. My dog was not bothering anyone, and there wasn't a single customer in the store. Businesses should also understand that service animals are protected under the law and generally cannot be excluded simply because they are present. A service animal must be under the handler's control, but asking someone to leave under these circumstances was disappointing. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.
