Eyes definitely bigger than stomach. For two people we did not even make a dent in what we ordered. But no regret at all- The churros were light and crispy. Plenty of different sauces for you to try. A row of bar top and high chairs to sit. Not suitable for large parties if everyone wants to have a seat. Churro boss really is boss.
These weren't authentic churros by any means, but they were good, I can tell you that. We ordered the boss box to share with the whole family so the churros were cut into smaller two-bite pieces. I was surprised by how thick they were. They're fried-to-order so the exterior is extremely crispy and generously coated in cinnamon sugar while the inside is doughy and kind of fluffy. The combination of the two textures made them addictive and hard to stop eating. There's some seating along the wall and parking right outside or in a lot nearby.
Came here after dinner to check this place out. What a vibe and they have a lot of items on their menu. We went with the Og churros with chocolate sauce (per kid's request). Churros were thickkk but so good cause it was hot and fresh. It didn't need the sauce in my opinion because it overpowered the dough/cinnamon/sugar. Maybe condense milk would've been nice. I want to try their churros and ice cream combo, I bet that's good!
I decided to bring my wife here on a Friday night for dessert after beating her in darts 5 times in a row across the street (soften her up). We live local and I don't know why I haven't been in here before but I've been missing out. First, they don't have just churros, they have ice cream, milkshakes and specialty coffees such as café de olla, Americano, cortado, and flat white to name a few. Churros can be ordered as a box set or individually with various topping choices. The churros were made fresh! They came out warm and crispy with that soft center. We also got 2 milkshakes, one Strawberry Scream and one Peanut Butter Mother Flutter, both tasted amazing!! The ambiance gives you a cafe feel with several people opting to eat their treats in house. The place smells amazing so it's easy to want to stay. As for the service, it was also amazing! Everyone was friendly and willing to assist you and answer questions. The cashier explained that she was going to make the churros fresh so there would be a short wait for them to be ready. I highly recommend stopping in to Churro Boss to satisfy that sweet tooth or coffee craving. Please support this small local business. See you soon Churro Boss!
Service was very friendly and helpful. When we had questions about the churro dips, the staff was patient in explaining and provided samples to try, which was something unexpected but nice. The churro box was great to share with a group and the packaging was very convenient with a tissue box-like section. The churro itself was crispy but to me it had a slight bitter after taste (might be because I had lunch before eating this?). Service was fast and inside has limited seating but was clean and spacious.
These milkshakes were great! They were very flavorful and rich. We were helped immediately when we entered. I was impressed with how clean and modern the space seemed, though I wish they added a few low tables and chairs as the entry way was very sparse. They have some bar style seating along the wall. Overall, while we enjoyed the milkshakes, I'm not sure we'll be back for the churros as we found the prices to be very high.
Was craving churros and this place did not disappoint! From the moment you walk in, the employees greeted us warmly and answered questions we had as this is our first visit (won't be the last though!) We ordered the churro box and it came with bite size pieces of churros, 2 toppings (we chose the dulce de leche and guava) and choice of one ice cream flavor. The churros were warm and crispy and both dulce de leche and guava were not too sweet and paired well with the churros. I also ordered the hot cafe de olla and it was really good coffee. The place is spacious, some tables against the wall and plenty of parking in the back. Also easy to find, the sign is hard to miss with the eye catching design!
I got the iced horchata and the mad abuelita and both are so amazing! Their coffees have so much body to them, and I love their churros! I love that they have their own recipe and make them fresh. My little one, husband and I love coming here because the owners are so friendly, the food and drinks are good, and the ambiance is chill!
Churro Boss has successfully transitioned from a beloved food truck to an absolute gem of a storefront! Right off the bat, I love the vibes from the outside walking in. The Day of the Dead themed decor adds a unique atmosphere, and quite festive for the eyes. Love the friendly and efficient service. I can easily see the staff is very passionate about their craft whether making their specialty coffees like their chocolate abuelita or the churros. The freshly made, hot churros with their nice selection of ice creams, toppings, and sauces is heavenly. I have to take more friends to get the cool churro box with the house sauces.
Had the opportunity to visit Churro Boss while I was in town. The parking is downtown parking so a little bit of patience is required. There is very little seating indoors and no seating available outdoor - this would be my recommendation as there is plenty of space inside for more seating areas to get nice and comfy. Customer service had good vibes, approachable and accommodating. We ordered the Cafe de Olla and the Churro Split. My son and I fell in love with the Churro Split. The ice creams were delicious, my only wish is that they cut the churro into pieces to enjoy it more. I didn't care for my cafe de olla. I think I may be biased because I've had it plenty of times at other cafes and it usually hits the spot but the cafe de olla here is black and lacks in flavor.
Churro Boss (Covina) offers thick & large churros that taste bitter, chewy, and bland. These chunky, dry churros only sweetened once drenched in a creamy, chill ice cream scoop. Ironically, Churro Boss (Covina) offers better quality ice cream than churros. I arrived at Churro Boss (Covina) on Sunday (around 2:35PM). Staff is very welcoming and attentive. Staff speaks English and Spanish. Staff answered all my questions. I ordered the Churro Sundae ($10). This dessert includes one scoop of ice cream and two six inch churros. I selected the Chocolate Malted Crunch ice cream scoop. The entire dessert was ready in eight minutes and 16 seconds. The dessert arrived picturesque. The Churro Sundae ($10) is attractive and fairly large; however, its taste is underwhelming. Although it felt like the churros were made-to-order in the backroom, the churros tasted bitter, chewy, and overcooked. These churros also lacked sweetness. Rather, these big churros tasted like chunky breadcrumbs. Fortunately, the Chocolate Malted Crunch ice cream scoop tasted delicious! It had an addictive crumbly texture. The ice cream also carried a chill and creamy chocolate flavor. Regarding ambiance, Churro Boss (Covina) is lackluster. It feels empty. The only seating is one long counter which had splotchy dried stains and crumbs. The location also has no restroom. Customers need to use their bottle of hand sanitizer or napkins if searching to clean their hands. There's two electric wall sockets in the far corner. And steady country music played in the background. Churro Boss (Covina) tries to be be modern and minimalistic. Overall, Churro Boss (Covina) offers tasty ice cream and pleasant service. Stopped by Churro Boss in Covina on a Sunday to treat myself to a churro and a horchata latte. Not a lot of seating if you wanna hang out there to chill. There weren't too many people in the store, so I figured it'd be quick--but it still took a bit. By the time I finally got my drink and made it halfway back to my car, I realized my "horchata latte" was missing the latte part. Just straight horchata. I didn't bother going back to complain because it was hot out and I wasn't about to walk back for a shot of espresso. The churro was decent--not fresh out of the fryer but not sad either--and the condensed milk dipping sauce was the real MVP. Which is kinda crazy cause it's probably just canned milk. The damage? About $16 for both items, which felt a little steep for an okay drink and an average churro. Cute spot with potential, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way for another round. read more

My family and I came here for a late afternoon treat. This location serves: Churros, Ice Cream, Milkshakes, Coffee, Teas, and specialties coffee. We ordered one Churro Split to share. It comes with 2 six-inch thick Churros with 3 scoops of ice cream (selected Chocolate Chips, Strawberry Cheesecake and Coconut Pineapple). We did not add any extra toppings. This dessert was about $12. It was hot, fresh and delicious Churros. It was just perfect with the ice cream. Friendly staff. Great Service. Ambiance is nice and clean. Limited seating inside. Very clean place. Girl upfront is really nice and helpful! Never been here before and was nice enough to explain everything. The churros were a lot more than I expected! It was 4 of us eating and we couldn't finish, super tasty! Highly recommend!! read more
Churro know how good this hits on a hot day. came on a Thursday evening, not too busy. super inviting atmosphere. the staff is ready to answer any question you might have. You can enjoy churro, churro sundaes, ice cream, cafecitos,and horchata drinks. i opted to get the churro sundae. It comes with 2 churros and 3 scoops of ice cream of your choice. extra charge for premium toppings like condensed milk. Total cost $12-13 with condensed milk on the side. churros were made fresh but needed a little more flavor and needed to be a little crispier. ice cream was good and creamy. id recommend you try just solo mini churro box with dips. they looked crispier than the full size churros. definitely a cute date spot or little family night treat! street parking available. next door to a the artist pizzeria. limited seating inside, tall bar stools only. read more

First and foremost, pretty expensive, second I was extremely happy with their service, very nice and helpful staff, extremely clean place. My kids got some shakes which were $10.00 each, my husband got cold/ ice chocolate abuelita and they were all pretty happy with their drinks. Now, I love Mexican hot chocolate with espresso... And sorry to say NOPE, didn't meet my expectations. I've had way better! read more

Saw them at Smorgasbord LA last wk and decided this before I leave Smorgasbord to get churros. Customer service wqs very good. I bought churros no extra topping & 1 scoop of ice cream. Just when I was going to ask employee asked if I wanted ice cream server separately or on top of churros. I had ice cream in a separate container. I have enough churros for the wk.. DELICIOUS. Hopefully in future they offer plant base ice cream. Highly recommend. read more

If you want some good churros mixed with ice cream also if you want to make your own churro, this place is it, especially if you have a sweet tooth. You could put any flavor ice cream on your churro along with a variety of different toppings. Also, if you want to wash it down with a good shake or coffee, they have that too. The choices are endless. Let your mind go wild with this Churro spot. The only thing was the churros wasn't fresh out the fryer. They were under the lamp, but they were still good. Ordered through door dash Friday night and let me tell you it was WORTH the dang 45$ I spent online. The churro box was 21-24$ came with two sauces to choose from.. we got lechera & condensed milk We added guava (pretty artificial flavoring) & Dulce de leche ( tasted like caramel?) Over all delicious. The churro box came with about 20 lil pieces I think. We couldn't even finish it all The only flaw is the churro breaks apart after every bite. No biggie but unsure if there churro dispensers is breaking the dough to thin? I also ordered the ICED HORCHATA LATTE 10/10 will definitely add this place on cheat meal favorites read more
My family and I enjoyed the boss box, a box packed full of churro bites that came with two toppings and choice of ice cream or coffee. We opted for condensed milk and dulce de leche for toppings, and we picked the strawberry cheesecake ice cream. The man that helped with our order was very friendly, and made nice conversation. The churros were delicious! The exterior texture was so satisfyingly crunchy and the interior was lightly chewy. The ice cream wasn't my favorite. It might've just been a poor flavor choice on my part, but overall, my family enjoyed this treat! read more
The food is great, and by food I mean churros! They were fresh and the perfect blend between crunch & softness. There were many options. The service was exceptional. When we went there was no one else in the shop until maybe 5 minutes later then about 6-8 more people came in, this was on a Saturday at 3:00. The over all ambiance was nice. Nothing over the top just a couple of their logo signs. They have a scan menu and one posted up as you order. There really is no seating maybe about 6-8 stools along the wall with a wall table. Love that this is down the street from work. We have gone here a handful of times when we were randomly craving for something sweet. The service is always great, the ladies (who I think are the owners) are super helpful. I usually get the original with a side of Nutella for dipping. The churros are always cooked to perfection and served piping hot. They also have cafecito and ice cream as well. read more
I'm not a huge churro fan. But I did like the combo of the churros with the ice cream more than I liked the churros with the dipping sauces. We got the chocolate and the Dulce le leche. Quite a lot of churros in the box. read more
I had seen a few videos online showcasing the new Churro Boss location in Covina and it definitely made me interesting in trying it out. We should up on a Sunday mid morning, shortly after they opened it. It has great decorations and appeal when first walking in. After looking over the menu, I was surprised by the high prices and that it's like a cafe. Still interested in trying, we ordered two 6" churros and an affogato. The affogato came in a paper cup, which was a little interesting. The churros were nice and warm, with a crispy exterior and really soft interior. They came with 1 sauce on the side, which we decided on a chocolate sauce. Overall, the churros tasted really good and I had not complaints. I felt that the price was fairly steep for the portion. I've gone to a truck before that offers 10 churros for $9, so only getting 2 for $6.50 is crazy to me. I think for that alone, I am unlikely to return. That said, it wasn't bad. read more

We just stopped here for a date day treat. I ordered a flat white, my husband got an Americano and we split a churro split. Pros are that the churros are super delicious and the ice cream was really good. Three star rating is because when I received my coffee, it felt very light. The menu states that the flat white is supposed to be 12 oz. The cup was only about 1/3 full. I politely asked the lady that made it if that was normal. She was really short with me and said "a flat white is only 2 oz of espresso and 2 oz of milk. That's what that drink is." I was confused by her response and, frankly, questioning my own understanding of espresso drinks and she had a group waiting to order so I just left. After thinking about it and a bit of googling, I realized SHE was the one that is confused. She made me a cortado, which is exactly what she described to me. But I ordered and paid for a flat white, which is traditionally 3:1 milk to espresso. Their menu even states that the flat white is 12 oz. Who doesn't like churros? Especially fresh, hot churros. After missing the LA County Fair for a few years I've been thinking about the giant churro I had the last time I went so after staring across Covina Boulevard while drinking some beers at Rude Dog, I knew what needed to be done. I walked across the street and ordered a Churro Box. With caramel and strawberry dipping sauces, there was no stopping me. These are not your 90s movie theater churros or the type you'll pickup in a fast food drive through line. Will it replace the churro shops in LA / Bellflower where you can get donut sized boxes packed high with fresh churros? No. Will it be my go to for the SGV? Yes sir. If you happen to check out the Laugh Factory across the street or find yourself having some BBQ at DOMESTIC up the block, this is where you should find yourself when it comes time for dessert. read more

WOWZA! I'd consider myself a churro aficionado- if there's a churro to be had- I will be having it so I've tried many. These are by far the freshest and richest to date! Worth every penny- their line is long for a reason. They're very quick though! read more
