    Warning!! It's good but it's $18.95, crazy!!

The food is good, but everything is getting so expensive. Even the tip options start at 18%, 20%, and 25% now, it's getting wild.

I'd heard great things about this place and was glad to finally give it a try. The food was absolutely amazing while dining in. I ordered the crab fried rice, green curry with pork, and beef pad thai. Everything was delicious! The only downside was that a few hours later, I became extremely thirsty and noticed my hands felt swollen. I would still recommend this spot if you're craving Thai food, and I'd probably try it again to see if I have the same reaction. It may have just been a coincidence.

Thank you again to the Tantawan family for such amazing food and service. We loved the smokiness of the Beef Satay, the perfect flavor balance of the Papaya Salad, and the springy and crispy texture of the Shrimp Cakes! We always look forward to eating here when visiting from Florida.

Never expected a Thai restaurant to be located in this plaza, as most of the establishments are Filipino - so lucky to live in the SGV. A friend and I were debating where to meet up for lunch and we decided to try Tantawan Thai Kitchen and they certainly did not disappoint. 54. TOM YUM NOODLE $14.95 招牌酸辣细粉 / Hủ Tiếu Chua Cay (Tom Yum) Choice of noodles with shrimp, pork meat balls, ground pork, fish balls, and peanut in a clear spicy and sour broth 73. SALTED FISH WITH CHINESE BROCCOLI FRIED RICE $14.95 咸鱼西兰花炒饭 / Cơm Chiên Cá Mặn Cải Làng Eggs, Salted fish, fresh chili, Chinese broccoli, and red onion 76. SHRIMP BUTTER FRIED RICE $15.95 蝦醬炒飯 / Cơm Chiên Tôm Hoặc Gạch Tôm Cay Tasty fried rice cooked with soy bean shrimp paste, eggs, chili, and onions I normally would order noodles, but I decided to try the Shrimp Butter Fried Rice as I had not had that in so long. My friend ordered the Tom Yum Noodle (medium spicy) which was a bit too spicy for me but it was so delicious! The flavors of all the dishes were great and the prices were very reasonable. The servers were very attentive and always stopped by to ensure that our water cups were full. I ordered a Salted Fish with Chinese Broccoli Fried Rice to go. Compared to other Thai restaurants that we frequent, this one felt more homestyle comfort food than "commercialized." They offer Monday-Friday lunch specials from 11 am to 3 pm (except Holidays) for $12.95. After posting a picture of my meal, a Thai friend said that this is a legit Thai place. Winning! The service was great, along with the portions and very reasonable prices. There was plenty of parking in this plaza on a Saturday afternoon for lunch.

Craving for some Thai food, we checked out Yelp and found this hidden gem! Tucked away on the quieter side of the Seafood City market area, this unsuspecting restaurant is a must try! As I write this review, we've come back 2 more times from our initial visit here. The menu for dine-in guests offer more comprehensive selection and pictures of the dishes that they offer. I forgot to take some photos of that so I posted their to-go menu instead. We tried both their pork jerky and beef jerky for our starter. The beef jerky is good, lean, but not hard. The pork jerky is slightly more chewy and definitely has more fat but a bit more flavorful. I love dipping the jerky into the sauce that they included. It's sour, a tad spicy and a hint of sweet and salty. It definitely packs the punch! The fried rice is nice and not dry, something that I sometimes worry about if they overcook it. There are about 5 pieces of good size shrimps included here. Drunken noodle is on point! We chose chicken and mild spicy level as we have kids that don't eat spicy food. They all loved it too. I added the Thai chili & fish sauce on top of mine as I like it more in the medium spicy level. We both dined-in and took to-go orders on the total of 3 times that we've been here. The service is good. They checked on us if we need our water refilled when we dined in. I'm glad to find this restaurant in the area and will visit more often in the future!

Went here with my favorite food critic, The Wife, at her request. We went on a Wednesday at noon and the place was empty. I mean just us except for a walk in food to-go pick up order. Huge clue. We ordered Tom Kha soup and requested it spicy. The waitress had doubts and asked us to get less space and add our own with the condiment clover. This changes the flavor. We really do like spicy. I also ordered some fried rice with crispy pork. The soup had good mushrooms for a surprise and the rice seemed like it had a crab rice flavor which would have been a better choice. The worst part of our visit was the disappointment that the menu did not include the lunch specials at a reduced price, which we only discovered when we asked for a to-go menu which had the specials printed on it. Not cool as this should have been offered to us at noon. We probably won't ever return but we did find several interesting spots in the same strip mall that we may try.

This place is great. I think the flavor is tailored to the Filipino palate. The Pad Thai is very sour, if you like that. My friend is Filipino and said it was the best pad thai she's ever had. I had the Rad Na, it was basically soup and they don't skimp on the meat! I thought it was good. If you're already at Seafood City/Island Pacific, you might as well make the trek here, it'll probably be the best Thai food you've ever had! To be honest, personally, I wasn't in love with the food (and I'm not Filipino). However, I went here twice and everyone around me was gobbling it up. It's probably a "me" problem. Very nice staff, charming decorations (50's diner style), and a very big parking lot.

o2.o8.2o25 We were craving for some Thai food and found this restaurant on the way home. We got the fried shrimp, crab meat fried rice, pad see ew, crispy pork with Chinese broccoli, clams, and a dessert. The food were pretty good. The clam and broccoli dish were kind of salty. The shrimp was super crispy and fresh. That was our favorite. The dessert was my least favorite. It had a very strong floral flavor. It was quite interesting but not my taste. The staffs are wonderful.

There are many hyped up Thai restaurants in Orange County, but West Covina has many delicious Thai places, with Tantawan being one of them. Not only do they have the best green & Thai tea, but their food is even better. We tried their Tom Yum Soup and Red Curry, which was extremely flavorful. Their Pork Jerky is also very tasty and filling. On top of that, they have very welcoming staff and great customer service. We always leave happy and full after coming here.

SOUTHERN CURRY NOODLE Mì Cà Ri / 咖喱面

More people need to know about this place because the food is seriously AMAZING. I usually get the chicken curry and Pad Thai, but this time I tried the Southern Curry Noodle and WOW... it was one of the best dishes I've ever had. So flavorful and comforting! Customer service is always excellent everyone is super friendly and welcoming. And their Thai tea is to die for. Great vibes, great food, and overall an amazing spot. Highly recommend!

    Pad Thai 3/5 & 3.5/5 Drunken noodle
    Brandon W.

This place has a good vibes and a friendly people but i feel the food here wasn't as good as i hoped. Overall this place is a 3.5 stars in terms of food but since they were nice i'd round up to 4. 4/5 - I got the Tom Yum Shrimp soup and it was pretty good. I wish the lemon grass wasn't into tiny pieces where you need to take it out so many times 3/5 - Pad Thai The top rated dish but the noodles were slightly overcooked and it was way too sweet. They need to balance the dish more. 3.5/5 - Drunken noodles Overall had good flavor but it was lacking something compared to many other thai places i tried. It has a nice kick but the flavor wasn't there. Overall it's a nice place with good service to come to but it didn't live up to the 4.3 stars imo

TIP: $11.95 Lunch Specials served Mon - Fri from 11am - 3pm. First visit to this restaurant. We were immediately seated, but it took a little bit of time for someone to come back and take our lunch order. The décor is casual, and it was clean. Parking can be tough, as this shopping center is very busy. FOOD & DRINKS: My wife and I both ordered a Thai Iced Tea ($4) and I thought this was one of the better ones I've had recently. Not too sweet, and the price was lower than many. Off the Starter section of the menu, we ordered the Crunchy Vegetable Rolls ($11.95) and of course they came out about 30 seconds before the rest of our lunch was brought to the table. This seems to be a common issue in many Asian restaurants, appetizers and starters are brought out along with the rest of the meal, sometimes after many of the entrées are brought to the table, and this is very frustrating to me. For entrées, we ordered the BBQ Chicken & Fried Rice ($11.95) and the BBQ Ribs & Fried Rice ($11.95). Both meals were okay, not bad but nothing special either. NOTE: The menu cover states, "Automatic 18% gratuity will be added to all parties of seven (7) or more" Overall, we thought it was okay, but I will say that some of the regular menu items, especially the noodle dishes looked very good, so I would give this place another try.

Ordered Uber eats delivery from this Thai, everything was surprisingly delicious in large portions. I'v never seen the actual restaurant though cause we don't go to West Covina usually. The food arrived fast enough and packaged well enough. For food the spicy catfish was so flavorful, catfish is one of my favorite Thai dishes. Wonton soup, fried rice and flaming drunken noodles with shrimps were tasty as well. Just the rice noodles were a bit too spicy for my liking. Overall the items we have tried were very good and prices were fair. We would order food delivery from this Thai again!

I really enjoyed the dinner I had, they offer lots of options, from freshly made buns, dumplings to fresh seafood. The menu is pretty extensive and they also offer cooked dishes from the kitchen. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They made sure we get the best experience as it was our first time dining at this place. We had the big eye fish as they called it and they steamed it at the other empty table because our buns and dumplings were steaming at the same time to save time. They finish the fish at the kitchen with the hot oil and sauce. We also had the pork and shrimp buns, and beef dumplings. They were delicious! You can make your sauce at the station too and they provide good options. We also got the baby oysters appetizer that was soaking in some sort of light soy sauce marinade. Also got the soft shell crab and you get 3 whole crabs for $10! It was so worth it! The whole restaurant looked clean and inviting. The booths were spacious. I would definitely come back here and try other dishes!

I was very hungry and thought having tacos and ceviche and shrimp cocktail should be something quick. But the order took more than 20 mins to come out and I had to follow up with them. There were only 3 tables at the time and each table is just with one or two customers. There two servers total, but it seems the person who ordered for me also went to cook. I am not sure if this is one time situation where the Chef is not working that day? Because it honestly took too long to bring the food out when it's not busy at all. The most disappointing part is that after all this waiting, the tacos were toooo salty. We ordered grilled fish and grilled shrimp tacos. There were these blacks stuff sticking to the fish and shrimp, it's those black stuff that you get from burnt pan. The shrimp cocktail and ceviche was okay. Nothing amazing but I just wondered why couldn't they bring these two dish out first because it should be something already premade?? I would not come back after this experience. But I would suspect the management more the employees working there because I think they need more training. I also wonder if it's a substitute Chef or a new Chef was working that day?? This happened on Saturday the Thanksgiving weekend. Their ambiance is cute but feels old.
