We had the Combo 2 which was more than enough for two people. The peeled shrimp, crawfish, and snow crab were fairly delicious and juicy. We came when they have the live crawfish as opposed to frozen, and it probably made a world of difference. The spicy Torpedo sauce was also pretty good blend of flavors, a little spicy, tangy, and sweet. Service is very professional and attentive. Even had a cool smokey bubbly hand wash cup. You order your seafoods by the pound, then select your sauce. They have set combos you can order from, which makes ordering very easy. We got the Combo #1. We selected Shrimp, Clams, and Mussel. We opt for the Torpedo sauce, which is a combination of Garlic Butter, Classic Cajun, and Lemon Pepper. We also added the Fish and Chips. We didn't wait long before our foods came out. As for the food, I give 3 stars since it is definitely fresh seafood, however the taste was way too salty for me. I tasted more saltiness than the garlic butter and their Cajun sauce. We love coming here as opposed to other seafood boil places because you don't have to wait ridiculously long to be seated. You are welcomed and served right away. Staff is friendly. I can't believe this place opened AFTER I moved out of my parents' house in diamond bar! I always be craving seafood broil. We saw a reel on IG and decided to try it out since it was right next to my mom's. We went on a rainy Friday night and it wasn't too busy! I like that they play sports on the TV! I'm glad they expanded and opened this location in Diamond Bar! My fiancé booked a Valentine's Day dinner reservation for us at 7:30pm. We arrived 10 minutes early and we're greeted and seated right away. The restaurant is quaint and straight to the point - no frills, clean and simple theme decorations. The restaurant seats about 15 tables. Once seated, we reviewed the menu and ordered just enough food so that we were full and no left overs - sweet potato fries, combo 2, and drinks. There is a free beverage when you follow them on IG or make a post and it is so good! I can't remember the name of the drink...Captain something. Very refreshing and cool drink with dry ice for visuals. The sweet potatoe fries were a good palate cleanse from all the garlic, although I definitely want to try the garlic noodles next visit. Once we had our food it was time to get serious with a bib, no gloves because peeling shrimp heads requires some finger grip. The torpedo sauce is a mix of all the seasonings (like the whole shabang but better, if you can imagine that). The shrimp was big, juicy, and delicious; so were the lobster tails. The drinks were very creative and had well thought-out ingredients and presentation. Definitely a nice touch. Been here twice and enjoyed myself thoroughly both times. What keeps me coming back is their torpedo sauce. It's a unique flavor compared to other seafood boils in that it trends more on the sweeter side, which makes sense since this restaurant serves everything with a Vietnamese twist. This also shows up in their variety of side dishes and entrees, so if you come with someone who may not be a big fan of seafood, they have options. I also enjoy they have a selection of cocktails and generous happy hour deals. First time I came I shared a Combo 3 and the four of us were able to almost finish the entire pot. This time I got a pound of shrimp and a pound of their snow crab legs and I couldn't finish! Very big portions. Shrimp was not overcooked, easy to peel, and bouncy. The crab legs didn't taste frozen and were very succulent. They give you scissors and a cracker. I also added potatoes, but avoided the sausages as one sausage is actually just a slice so if you're ordering two sausages you're only getting two small slices. Each table comes with gloves and bibs. We also tried their coconut snails, scallops, garlic noodles, shaken beef, and fries. Nothing disappointed. This place seems family run. They used to have a server who did magic tricks but I think he moved so if you see older reviews mentioning magic, that's why lol Plenty of parking in this plaza. I finally got the opportunity to try the Cajun-style seafood boil at Submarine and it did not disappoint. My original plan was to try both the shrimp and crawfish, but I got talked into just giving the crawfish a chance. They were plump, spicy and tangy, and were consistently juicy. I'm used to smaller crawfish that are doled out to you in large quantities. There were maybe 8-9 crawfish in the bag, but they were the size of jumbo jumbo shrimp. I enjoyed every bite. There's a special right now where if your b-day is in January, you get any drink free - including cocktails! One of our group had a January b-day so the "Blue Lagoon" was chosen and enjoyed. We celebrated my sister-in-law's birthday here on Valentine's Day, which is probably one of the busiest nights of the year, and the staff absolutely delivered. Even with how packed it was, everything ran smoothly. Our waitress, Jennie, was incredibly kind, attentive, and patient the entire night. Also ordered some sides and drinks which was enough for all of us! The pots were very delicious one was torpedo sauce and the other was Cajun. They really filled up the pots with a ton of seafood! This place has everything covered, a new restaurant has opened in Diamond Bar named Submarine Crab and I want to say it is amazingly delicious if you love seafood you will fall in love with this boil. Cane was here for dinner with a party of four and this place was filled with other patrons that almost we had no seats to sit in. But luckily we had one table. We ordered a dozen oysters they were nice and fresh. Got shrimp and mussels since they ran out of clams. But the sauce was on point. Maybe next time I will get the extra spicy flavor. If you check in through Yelp you also get a free hefty portion of garlic noodles. Which was so good. All my friends loved and enjoyed our nice dinner. Honestly I have such mixed reviews of this restaurant. I really want to like it more because they are fairly new and a small business, but I find it hard to want to come back with so many other food options nearby, so I have to honestly rate it a 3-3.5 star. The torpedo sauce was not bad and the Cajun fries had two dips. The potatoes were soft and the corn was well-seasoned in the sauce. I loved that they gave the sauce on the side for dipping, it was real convenient. I just wish there was more garlic haha. Ohh! The soap at the end was pretty cool too! The not-so-good: The fries were definitely over-fried, old, or double fried(?) most pieces were pretty hard. We love fries so we still had to kill it but definitely would not order again. The snow crab legs were really salty. We had to double check if it was the sauce or the crab, but it was 100% the crab. It was the most expensive of our bag so we had to finish it, but I would pass on this next time if I come back. It's a shame because we ordered the crab since it's in their name, but it was real disappointing for us. The peeled shrimp had a rubbery texture to it. I think this might just be how these shrimp are, but it was not very pleasant, I would HIGHLY recommend just getting the head on shrimp instead. It's more work but it'll taste MUCH better. Overall, I would come back if someone wanted to, but it would be hard for me to want to come back without any new changes to the menu. As always IG leads me to new discoveries of restaurants and this one caught my attention with their reels. It wasn't hard to catch my attention because I am a big fan of seafood. When we got to the restaurant , we were seated immediately and later on, more people came and there was a wait. My bf and I ordered combo 2 which included 2 lb shrimps and lobster tails. On the side underneath the table, there are utensils and bibs for you to grab. When the food arrived, it came in a pot with a bowl of sauce on the side. I was already impress that the shrimp and lobster tails was already drenched in sauce and we also get extra sauce for no charge. We saw that the other table ordered garlic noodles so we also ordered it as well. The shrimps and lobsters tails were fresh and good quality. The sauce that we got was mild torpedo which was all the sauces combined. It was very flavorful and not too overpowering. The garlic noodles however was bomb, we were so glad that we ordered it. It went so well with the shrimp and sauce from the pot mixed together. I forgot that we also ordered one of their drinks and it came with dry ice that was fun to watch and goes well with the food. After we finished eating, the waiter gave us a hand washing jar that bubbling out with dry ice. I can see kids being amazed by this washing their hands.
