Stopped by here on a Tuesday afternoon with a coworker after finding out nearby Season's Cafe was closed on Tuesdays and this was the next closest restaurant we'd be interested in trying. Restaurant is clean and interestingly decorated. Only one person handled the front of the restaurant, difficult to get ahold of when initially ordering and at the end when getting the check. The menu is reasonably large with the essentials of a ramen restaurant covered such as gyoza, karaage and takoyaki albeit at higher than average prices. There is also no lunch menu available like most ramen places in nearby Rowland Heights or just most sit-down restaurants in the area do. We settled on ordering the same thing which was the Tonkotsu ramen, spice level 3 on their very interesting 0-3-7 spice level. Noodles were an average quality, the slice of pork was more of a chunk but was actually one of the better ones I've had. The Tonkotsu ramen came out looking much more like a Spicy Miso ramen. Did not know if that was intentional. AIM LOWER ON THE SPICE SCALE IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING. My coworker mentioned the spices seemed more reminiscent of Indian spices than Japanese spices which made it difficult to slurp ramen without the spices hitting the back of your throat in an uncomfortable way. Overall acceptable if you're in the North Diamond Bar area and don't want to travel towards Walnut or Rowland Heights for better ramen, but this will not be on the list for work lunch options.

Tasted great! Cute little spot with no wait. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and craving ramen.

First time in they have different kinds of ramen mild or spicy. And they also have sushi rolls. Everything was really good. Had a very late lunch. But everything was delicious and the prices are pretty reasonable. Bon appetit everybody

Basic yet good food, service, and ambiance. I was seated fast, not very busy for a Saturday night.

This spot truly exceeded my expectations and is conveniently close to home. The service was warm, attentive, and made me feel right at ease. I visited solo for a little "me time," and the cozy, dimly lit ambiance was perfectly suited for a quiet, relaxing experience. The food was not only beautifully presented but also generously portioned -- easily enough for two. I wrapped up my visit with a coffee macaron ice cream that was absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be coming back soon!

As we entered it smelled like a smoking lounge and reeked of cigarette smoke. Not really a bad thing because it reminded me of the old ramen houses...very nostalgic. Although I would prefer a smoke free environment. Ordered the miso tonkatsu ramen and was pleasantly surprised. Tonkatsu miso broth was on point and had a smoky flavor from the charred Chasu. it had generous portions of bamboo, seaweed and green onions. The thin ramen noodles was cooked perfect. Ordered the tokayaki too and it was not bad not bad at all. Service was excellent.

Food was delicious! The Ramen that my son got was super spicy and he loved it! The young man that works here was so kind he brought our order to my car. I plan to return to repost the food. The ambiance is intimate and romantic. I love the decor. The food was fresh, well made. I didn't mind waiting at all for this spot I discovered on my way home. Love and will be back!

Needs to improve. The water tasted disgusting, that was probably the red flag, I think this is the worst water I have ever had at a restaurant, tasted chemically or dirty. We got the crispy rice and it was so tiny and burnt. The other rolls we got were mid, wouldn't go back, but it was the water that really sketched me out :/

Creamy Tonkotsu Ramen (Pork)

The best ramen I've ever had very creamy and had a very good portion !!! It was a very nice vibe. Very good costumer service!

Spicy tonkotsu ramen at level 3

I am glad to find out that there is a new ramen place opened in Diamond Bar. This place used to be an Indian restaurant and now it is a Japanese ramen place and serves popular dishes such as takoyaki, sushi rolls, teriyaki, gyoza, and etc. I ordered spicy tonkotsu ramen with charshu. It was very delicious and flavorful. The broth was on the richer side and the noodles were perfectly cooked. I really like the older lady who used to work here when the Indian restaurant was operating. She still works at this new ramen place and I think she works in the kitchen and comes out to make sure if the food is well served and asks if I need anything. They also serves Japanese whiskey, beers, sake, cocktails. I will certainly come back for ramen and other dishes next time.

Terrible food and the water was unfiltered tap water. The pictures are definitely not of the place. Absolutely do not recommend.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are so kind that it almost feels like being invited over to a friend's house for a meal. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. I eat Japanese food quite often, and for my taste, it's hard to find another restaurant that balances flavors as well as they do. Everything tastes thoughtfully prepared and consistently delicious. Once you try it, there's a good chance you'll find yourself coming back regularly. Highly recommended.

The noodles were mushy for both of us. It didn't have good consistency. The broth was both light, despite ordering the black garlic. It just felt so mild. As for the pork, we had to remind the server that we ordered extra. It came in so charred also and it felt overcooked. It felt tough to eat. We just couldn't find anything to praise. We were also a bit confused with the service. You order through a tablet, get your own food from the loud robot, and get actual service during checkout. It felt like a self service establishment more so than an actual restaurant. As for the ambiance, it's decent. It has everything that tells you it's Japanese.

The parking near the entrance are usually occupied and some of spots in the lot are compact so just an FYI. The location is nice and the staff will acknowledge you as you walk in. There are a number booths for intimate seating. There is a sushi bar towards the back of location and also bigger tables for larger groups. Kopan offers a lot of various items from the sushi, sushi rolls, ramen, curry and even a limited time wagyu menu. Each visit has been a positive one. Some days have BOGO 50% on rolls. The quality of the sushi rolls is fresh and nicely presented. On a few recent trips, we tried the Wagyu Uni Sushi which was insane! I tried the Chicken Curry Katsu which was delicious. Served on a hot stone and full of flavorful curry with a large cut of chicken katsu. Overall, the menu options and a good quality service make this location a stand out. Thanks, Kopan Ramen! ( ^_^)b

We were sat immediately and service was friendly and quick. We ordered a variety of Sushi including blue crab roll, a special cut roll, and of course, the premium sashimi platter. I would say, if you are an avid fan of sashimi, the premium sashimi platter is a must here to share (or not!) The nigiri was also very good and probably the highlight of the meal overall. My son ordered the ramen and really enjoyed it. That said, the rest of the sushi rolls were just okay and didn't really stand out. They weren't bad, but nothing that would make us go out of our way to order them again. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. When we were first seated, my husband asked if we could switch to another available table. It was a simple request, but the server seemed visibly unhappy about it. From that point on, we felt like we received a noticeably colder attitude for the rest of the meal, which took away from the overall experience. The food has its bright spots, especially the nigiri and Hokkaido Roll, but better hospitality would have made a big difference.
