This place is located in the plaza a behind the Starbucks. It's kind of a hold in the wall, as it looks more like an industrial location than a restaurant site. Jinza has a lot to choose from, from rolls to udon and yakisoba, to the usual teriyaki bowls/plates. They also offer breakfast options that are served until 2:00 pm. They have a breakfast jambalaya bowl which sounds interesting. My son and I got the chicken plate combo with the crunch roll and the Teri chicken burrito. The girl at the counter asked us if we wanted any spicy sauce or white sauce. So we took some home to try. The chicken was good, the crunch roll had mushy rice so it tasted weird. I realized after I got home that we didn't have teriyaki sauce, I think I was supposed to as for a container and fill it with the sauce on the tables. The plate came with a salad and picked veggies. I was not a fan of the white colored dressing on the salad. Not sure what flavor it was supposed to be. I also didn't like the white sauce that we got and didn't know what to use it for even though the girl said it was for "anything". I dipped my chicken in it to try and I feel like it's Kewpie mayo, but I could be wrong. We really like the Teri chicken burrito. It was basically a Teri chicken rice bowl wrapped in a tortilla. It came with some salsa on the side. Saw a sign inside that they have Taco Thursday, so we will probably come back to try that too!

I recommend this place. I placed an order on the phone and got there 10 mins after and the service was quick and easy! The food was great for the price. Th beef had a lil sweet taste but with the spicy sauce it was the perfect balance. The rice was really good and cooked to perfection. I rate this place a 10/10 amazing if you're looking for something healthy and delicious. I couldn't really feel the ambiance since I go a to go order. But the service was nice!

We just love Jinza Teriyaki. The owner and workers are super chill and nice, good vibes all around. The food is tried and true. The chicken teriyaki is hands down our favorite. We made one meal a combo and got mixed tempura. The beef is okay; I'd rather get a double order of the chicken. The plates come with lettuce salad and pickled cabbage. Also comes with sauce, but for me personally the food was flavorful enough. There's a little table where you can help yourself to teriyaki sauce and Sriracha. Convenient, great food, good service. No complaints here.

Service was great and fast The food was delicious I had never been here before but it's a great spot! Gives off a very welcoming setting inside thanks !

Food is ok. Service is fast and efficient. Portion size is very small for the price. Came here one day to try their teriyaki bowl and ordered the beef. Portion size is small. Lots of rice with a very small amount of meat. Meat was nicely flavored but chewy so not a high quality cut. The rice was undercooked. It's fine for quick grub but I'm unlikely to come back.

Service was amazing, the workers are so nice. Amazing customer service. They are giving free drinks with purchase to Cal poly students for the first week back to school.

I've been coming here for a bit now since I work less than a few minutes away and it's not only convenient but the food is great! It's in a tiny little business park behind Starbucks on Temple and Pomona Blvd and if you're not paying attention you can easily pass it! I am very picky when it comes to my chicken because I don't like the skin, any fat or gristle on it. This chicken does not have any of that! It's super tender, juicy and just overall delicious. The rice is always fresh, veggies were perfectly cooked and the Mac salad was delicious! Not pictured was the musubi! It's hard to find good musubi and Jinza's is simple but delicious! We've also tried their chicken plate and chicken supreme salad both which were very good too! I've not had anything so far that I've not liked! Restaurant is very clean even when it's at its busiest. Staff is great and very attentive. You must try their white sauce! I placed an online order and there was a minor hiccup with it but nothing that would prevent me from coming back!

Used to come here a lot when I worked in the area. Haven't been in about 10+ years and they must be doing something right to still be around after all this time. Not much has changed except the expanded dining area and they have a bunch of drinks available now by the cashier. Looks like they have expanded the menu quite a bit also. Came in on a Thursday around 1:30 and they were still extremely busy. Long line, but the food still came out pretty quickly. Got the chicken and beef plate and it was just like I remembered. Saw a lot of people ordering tacos and I didn't see it on the menu. Asked the man at the counter and he said it's a Thursday special. I think I'll stop by next Thursday and give it a shot. Good taste on the proteins, decent portion size, and friendly staff. I will be back for sure.

Noodle veggies plate....lacking noodles.

How can I order catering if you close on Sat?

How many calories in a chicken teriyaki bowl?

Good question how much white sauce will you use? To good to worry about when you eat well you feel well doing more so you burn more calories. You could make it yourself and shop, cook, clean, burning more calories.

I ordered their "Sushi and Sashimi Combination" from their Lunch Special menu which came with 6 pieces of sushi, sashimi and a half order of a tuna cut roll. The combination plate is very reasonably priced especially for the quality of fish which was fresh and delicious. The lunch special combo also comes with a bowl of miso soup and salad so you definitely get good value for the price. Service is standard, and there is a decent amount parking within the plaza.

The katage and teriyaki chicken was ok. The salmon teriyaki has a good portion of salmon. The sushi rice was too hard and the way the fish is cut is sloppy. We've had better at other Japanese restaurants. Like other reviews mentioned, the service is questionable. There were only 2 waitresses for the restaurant. When we sat down, they want us to order everything all together. We later added salmon teriyaki, they took the order, but the waitress was taking to the owner sitting in the back table in Japanese that we are not ordering all at once. Looks like the owner/manager does all the calculations by hand for the check so they don't want people to add on to the order. It's a small restaurant and a bit tight between the tables. Seems like a good amount of regular people come here and pick up to go orders. We are not regulars here so seemed a bit like an outsider.

I still enjoyed my meal and the service was very friendly and attentive with my water getting refilled several times. The fried food was nice and lightly crispy. The salmon collar was tender and a large piece. The baked lobster roll was too sweet with too much mayo. The sashimi and California rolls left a lot to be desired. Maybe it's because these are just the items that came included in a combo, and maybe it's because I didn't order the right things...but I wasn't too impressed given all the reviews about how this is the best Japanese food that needs to be discovered. I may be too spoiled by the higher quality sushi in South OC but to me the quality is more of a 3.5...but I rounded up.

I loved the salmon as a salmon connoisseur it melts in your mouth, I wanted the spicy tuna but they were out for the day though the regular tuna was delicious so I am excited to try their spicy tuna, the spicy scallop was nice and my friend got the tempura shrimp and said it was yummy as well. The customer service was very nice! A very sweet lady I forgot to get her name . The inside of the place is a bit small but they have sitting areas outside. I will definitely be back.

Our favorite items to order are everything from the premium menu, Smoked Salmon, Ikura, Cajun Yellowtail, Cajun Salmon, Salmon Skin Salad, Rolly Polly, and Salmon Skin Skewer. If I had to pick just one from this list, it would be the Cajun Salmon. I cannot have enough of it. It's so fresh, silky, and has that perfect hint of smokiness.
