Had such a great experience at Holy Cow! Our server Kenny went above and beyond the entire time we were there. He was always on top of our order, made sure everything came out hot and fresh, and constantly checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. He also kept our table cleared of unused dishes, which made the whole dining experience feel smooth and comfortable. Not only was Kenny amazing, but the entire staff was super friendly and welcoming. You can really tell they care about providing great service. We'll definitely be coming back again soon!

I was invited to Holy Cow for a business meeting since it was a fair halfway point for the three of us to meet in this area. When I looked up the menu ahead of time, I was pretty excited at the wagyu selection. The plaza has many good dining spots and plenty of parking. I had a Yelp Reservation but it didn't seem needed at opening time. The restaurant was on the smaller side, but it didn't get to busy during our time there. I feel like they are a direct competitor to the chubby-brand but the chubby group is doing a better job with marketing and execution. Our waitress seemed to be the only front of house staff that we encountered. There was a language barrier. She was terrible at explaining the menu and she missed some of the items we ordered. It would have been confusing if I didn't already read some reviews on the business prior. So we decided on the Supreme Tier ($59/person) menu where we could each pick 1 special meat, and 1 special dish, and it's all you can eat of the rest of the meats. I can't recall the special meats we order because she didn't really tell us what was what, but I remember liking 2 out of 3. For the special dish I wanted the uni scallop carpaccio, but they were out. Instead we decided to get the langoustine sashimi with uni. That was pretty good. From the regular AYCE selection we did the M9s, the Signature Cut upon recommendation, short rib, beef tongue, tiger shrimp, zabuton. It was hard to reorder because we were trying to reorder the ones we liked. I told her it was the marbling one and she said it was signature cut, then she brought out something with NO MARBLING AT ALL. Sigh. I can say confidently that the zabuton was good cause we ordered that as an alone order for one round. From their sides their sesame tofu was one of the favorites and the pickled items like the cucumbers and kimchi were good reliefs to the meat heavy meal. My colleagues enjoyed the squid salad too. I also munched on some edamame. Not that any of these stand out but it was needed to offset the wagyu. I feel like this restaurant has potential but the waitress was not attentive, had poor communication, and missed some of our orders. At the end she kept insisting for us to write her a review for a free soda... not sure how many of these reviews are for that free soda... but pass... I don't need your free soda! I need my orders brought out correctly.

TLDR - Good service, Good parking, Food is below average. This is a really small restaurant that serves ayce wagyu at a pretty fair price point. The only thing is, thats really all they do. theres not much to compliment your meal and with meat thats as fatty as this is, you just end up getting greened out and its just too much fat. There's nothing to cut through this fattiness so it ends up being too much. I will say the service is REALLY good, they're very attentive, the food comes out fast and its very homey. If you LOVE beef and know that the fattiness of the beef won't be an issue you'd probably love this place.

Sylvia was very helpful and patient explaining the menu for our first time. All other waiters also came by often to check in on us. Place is very small so expect a wait if no reservations on a weekend. Plenty of parking as it is in a huge plaza with other shops and restaurants. Food is as expected amazing and definitely worth the price.

Initially I was in the mood for some higher end Korean BBQ, but after some convincing from my friend, we decided on trying something new/different and I'm glad we did since I'm usually a little leary on trying something new. We went with the Supreme tier since the highest one didn't really seem like it offered anything worthwhile to us. The Supreme tier comes with 1 order *per person* for both the Special Meats (supposedly A5) and Special Dishes. Aside from the Special items that are limited, the rest of the menu is unlimited, including the sides. Without any proof of proper certification, I'm not entirely sure this is truly A5 BMS 8-12 wagyu, but regardless, it is incredibly marbled. Personally I cooked these pieces until parts of it began to sizzle and brown, allowing the fat to render. If you've never had it before, it is very rich and melts in your mouth. The good news is that the rest of the meat was still really good quality. In fact, the Wild Red Shrimp under the cheaper Platinum tier was actually much better than the Black Tiger Shrimp under the more costly Supreme tier. Honestly, the Black Tiger shrimp is kinda like your average run-of-the-mill shrimp from the market. I'm not a shrimpologist, but I want to say the "wild red shrimp" might be something like Ridgeback shrimps? Either way, the texture of the wild red shrimp was much better, in my opinion. I also really like the fact that the carpaccio (sashimi) was unlimited. I wouldn't consider myself a gymbro (ok maybe a little), but the fact that I can load up on grilled meat, sashimi, and veggie sides is awesome. Food experience aside, I was surprised by how small it was inside. It's all black too, so it looks and feels dark which is nice. Front of House service was fine, but the time it took for our items to come out was pretty slow, so tables don't turn very quickly which translates to long wait times, especially during peak hours like dinner or on the weekends. Speaking of dinner, maybe it's because I'm more of a dinner person, but I think next time around it'll be even more enjoyable during dinnertime. I will definitely be back in the near future, preferably after a gym sesh lol (ok I guess maybe I might be a gymbro)

Holy Cow in Chino Hills seriously impressed me. The wagyu quality was amazing with beautiful marbling, and every bite literally melted in my mouth. The presentation, atmosphere, and service all felt premium without being too over the top. Definitely one of the better Japanese BBQ spots in the area. Highly recommend if you're craving high-quality beef!

I went to a super nice jbbq in Seattle and I've been chasing that high since i returned back to California. Wagyu factory is good but i just dislike how thin the meats are sometimes and how they get stuck to the gril so you're basically fighting with the food while you're grilling. Holy cow had caught my eye a while back but i forgot about it and never went. While looking for Jbbq spots in California i rediscovered it and decided to drop by with my mom and husband. We went on a Friday around 6pm so they weren't open that long. The place wasn't packed but did have people, as we were leaving i did notice a lot of big parties coming in. I want to note that the inside is actually pretty small for a bbq spot. But they're super attentive and constantly coming around to check on you. The meats were honestly all really good. We got their middle tier to try the uni scollop and they didn't have it at 6pm! It was already sold out. I was honestly pretty baffled by how something sold out in an hour when you can only get a set amount of items. So their specialty items you can only get once and it's the number of people you have. So i had 3 people, you can only get three items off the specialty items list and that's it. I misunderstood and thought you could get 1 item only 3 times. I was heavily disappointed by that option but the rest of the meat was nice so i got over it pretty quickly. I love how they have their sides set up with a bunch of things to order. We really liked the carpaccio for the salmon and tuna. We didn't really care for the seared stuff. Their sides like kimchi, seaweed salad, and bean sprouts were also great. I really enjoyed that. The meats were all great and the slices for the thinly sliced ones were not super thing where they'd get stuck to the grill so i really appreciate that. I will say, i wasn't really impressed with any of their steak portions, i preferred more of their thin cuts or short ribs. Something that i do want to note is that their water just sucks. Idk its small in there and a little hot with the grill, and the water just doesn't have any ice so its just like lukewarm water. Kinda meh in that aspect, but easily fixable... Overall it's a good Jbbq spot, we really did enjoy it and would return :)

Tried Holy Cow recently and overall I'd give it around a 4/5. The experience was still fun and the quality was solid, but there were a few things that kept it from really standing out compared to other KBBQ spots in the area. Food: The meat quality was good, but I've definitely had better for the price point. One thing we noticed pretty quickly was that the meat cuts were pretty thin and the portions were on the smaller side, so we ended up having to order numerous rounds. The grill was also kind of weak which made cooking take a lot longer than expected and slowed the whole meal down. The "special" menu itemsdidn't feel that special or different enough to justify upgrading. I think the Platinum tier is probably the better value overall. Surprisingly, the highlight of the entire meal was the salmon carpaccio. It was DELICIOUS -- honestly better than the salmon carpaccio I've had at a lot of sushi restaurants. Super fresh, flavorful, and easily the standout dish of the night. We order 8 plates of this! Location & Vibes: The restaurant itself was nice and clean with a modern vibe. Service was fast and solid and the atmosphere made it a good place to hang out with friends. Overall: A good bbq spot if you're in the area, but for the price there are probably better KBBQ spots out there.

Japanese Bbq in Chino Hills is here and this place is legit. Having a great selection of beef cuts and many fun appetizers. The only downside to this place is that it is small. Also, the tables are only for a party of four. So it would be hard if you have a birthday party and so on. Everything came out super quick and I really did enjoy my dinner here. Came with a party of three and had to wait a little bit. So if you want to check out some Japanese Bbq this is the spot.

Came here for lunch and let me tell you, if you're looking for one of the best Japanese bbq eat all you can resto this is it! Our server KEN has an awesome, amazing customer service. He's very attentive and super fast always making sure that we got plenty of meat. The quality of meat is superb and so as the side dishes! Definitely a place to check out in Chino!! Worth the drive for sure

I really enjoyed dining here, especially because of our server Cara. She provided us with thoughtful guidance throughout the meal and helped us truly appreciate the quality and beauty of the food. Her attentive service made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable.

Had such a great experience at Holy Cow! Our server, Sylvia, was amazing--super friendly, helpful, and the service was incredibly fast. The food did not disappoint either. Our absolute favorites are the thick Wagyu zabuton, Wagyu top loin, and Wagyu brisket--everything was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. The first time we came, we also had the Wagyu beef taco and it was absolutely incredible. Our favorite sides are the cucumber salad, salmon carpaccio, and the Wagyu bowl--highly recommend trying those as well. Everything from the service to the food was on point. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area!

4 stars because they served us really cold almost frozen salmon. They need to be more careful about serving those but otherwise their service was good. Not phenomenal but good. Had to wait a little bit to get started. Kinda annoying that they only let you order only a few at a time, Especially with the side dishes I thought were unnecessary. Seats and the place in general is small and tight but it's not uncomfortable. It's just small. I honestly liked it better than chubby cattle. Would recommend a lot more if they actually fix their ordering and also their cold salmon.

Fried oyster - wouldn't recommend getting this for your special item as they are small.

Chino's hidden gem! Everyone go try Bengee Sushi!…read more We were in Chino over the weekend for some board games and randomly searched for a lunch spot nearby. Ended up at Bengee Sushi and... wow. Completely exceeded expectations. I honestly didn't know Chino had such solid Japanese food We both ordered their Lunch Specials -- around $25 each, which is such a great deal. Since I'm not a big tempura person, we skipped the bento boxes and went straight for the good stuff. We got one Chirashi Bowl, and the moment it came out we were shocked. So much sashimi! Thick cuts, super fresh, and none of that fishy leftover-trim vibe. The sushi rice underneath was really good too -- not overly sweet or sour, just balanced. The other dish we ordered was the Sashimi Lunch, and again, super generous portion with way more variety than I expected. No shortcuts, no skimping. It also comes with miso soup and salad, both clean and tasty. We added hot tea, which hit the spot on a colder day. That feeling of "randomly picking a place and accidentally finding a great spot" is honestly unmatched They also offer a $79 omakase, plus a more premium $135 one (reservation required). After seeing how generous they are with their lunch portions, I'm definitely coming back for that next time. In short: amazing value. If you love sashimi and find yourself in Chino, this place is absolutely worth the visit.

This was the closest one to us, and it definitely lived up to what I was expecting. I tried their new Bolognese udon, and it did not disappoint. It had a really rich, savory tomato flavor that paired surprisingly well with the chewy udon noodles. It's a little different from the usual udon dishes, but that's what made it stand out. I would definitely get it again, especially since udon is one of my favorite types of noodles. My friends got the Nikutama udon, which was also really good. You can tell the udon is freshly made, with that perfect chewy texture. We also grabbed some of their tempura sides, and they were crispy, light, and super satisfying. The workers were really nice, and the whole setup runs pretty smoothly even when it gets busy. The space itself is pretty spacious with lots of seating, so it's great for groups. It has a casual, lively feel with people coming in and out, grabbing trays, and building their meals, which adds to the overall experience.

The nikutama udon was only warm rather than hot, and the broth tasted overly salty with a slight sweetness. I added green onions and flakes, but the flakes quickly became soggy in the soup. I also ordered crispy katsu, which was actually quite fresh and tender, and helped give an extra star. I also tried a battered chickenc tempura shrimp, and battered sausage that was cold and seems left out for a while. I can't say the meal was enjoyable.
