Loco Moco Wagyu
Leslie T.

Came here for lunch after church. They open all day now! We tried their new brunch menu: Avocado Toast, Bbq Wagyu burger, Chicken Curry and Wagyu Loco Moco. I definitely enjoyed the burger. I really liked the chicken in the chicken curry. It was very juicy and tender. They have other brunch items like French toast, breakfast burrito, and sandwiches, but wanted to try their Wagyu meats and curry. I got their Peach Oolong Tea which was delicious! Great service and food.

It was delicious! We got there on a rainy evening just in time before it got super busy! I got Wagyu ribeye with the spicy miso tonkotsu. I wish I would've gotten the large size instead of the regular. Plenty of space and tables and servers were very welcoming and accommodating.

This place is great for a light hot pot meal. We got the tonkotsu broth with beef toro(belly), fried squid legs, and udon to finish. The large is big enough for two people to share with an app or two. The staff was really helpful with how much to order for two people.

Delicious, great focused service. House made goma, flavorful broth. Iced teas they let us sample were very good, jasmine grape was awesome, but their peach tea with lemonade made for a delicious Arnold Palmer. Attentive to our questions about the menu. Quality experience. Small restaurant, so recommended to make a reservation for larger parties. We tried the wagyu for 2, loved it. Will be back to try brunch, give them a try!

Services was good very quick don't feel like we had to wait to long for anything. The location is nice a little warm in side. As in food meat was good , broth was good had the Tonkotsu (Creamy Pork Bone) and the Spicy Miso Tonkotsu. I would had prefers less ends of the Napa cabbage. Dipping sauce could have been better.

Cute Shabu place located in Chino, Ca. Kind of hard to locate if you're not familiar with the area as the parking is in a medical office plaza. And the restaurant is on the side of the building. I like how they have the option for you to sit at a table or their bar area. To order, you choose your meat(s) & it comes with a side of vegetables. Then you choose your broth. You can also get sides of dipping sauce for your meats. They also have a wide variety of appetizers & drinks (alcoholic & non-alcoholic) drinks. I was surprised at how much food they give you for your buck.

the server was very attentive and food is very yum! We will come back again, thank you!

Went there on Monday night and it's kind of dead and quiet. The food was great and the server maybe he's the boss. He was very friendly too. The restaurant was quiet and no queue. We enjoy the food and it was good on the waygu. He have shabu shabu hot pot.

Came here for shabu and honestly was pretty impressed. The meat is freshly cut and you can really tell the quality -- especially the wagyu, super tender with nice marbling. They have a good variety of options, and the portions are actually pretty generous. Each order comes with a veggie platter, so it ends up being really filling. Didn't expect to get this full Place is also clean and well-kept, which I always care about. Overall feels like a solid spot with good quality and decent pricing. Would definitely come back.

Is this an all-you-can eat?

No. I came with my two kids and was advised to order the small meat portions (6oz) because they were "big." We ordered 3 6 oz meats, a soft shell crab, salmon sashimi and we were still hungry at the end. Food tasted good, though.

Of course you can share a hot pot. Might not be enough for 2 people to share but we have variety of other options. Add-ons for the hot pot, appetizers and noodle dishes. Hopefully, we answered your question.

The broth is light, clean, and flavorful without being too heavy. We also love all the additional toppings they offer, so you can add to your pot just the way you like it. The kimchi pot and Japanese pot are also favorites of ours. Both are packed with flavor! If you enjoy preserved eggs (century eggs) and cilantro, I highly recommend trying their preserved egg and cilantro pot. It's another delicious option with a clean, comforting flavor. And of course, we always order the popcorn chicken! It's freshly made, crispy, and the perfect appetizer to start the meal. Overall, Pot on Fire is a reliable favorite for us, and we always leave satisfied. Definitely a spot we love coming back to!

My friends told me that the medium is actually very spicy... I'm going to try that next. What I liked as they actually came around twice to ask if we wanted more broth so I thought the service was good.. I was so full I took half of it home and it was still so good! I had a very nice time. The portion was very filling and everyone left very happy. Will def be back!

I opted for miso soup broth, I was going to choose tom yum but they didn't have it available today. I loved the tri colored corn that has the chewy texture besides the regular yellow corn. I just really love that you can customize your own broth and make it your own personal flavor profile. Each person has their own soup container/metal cookware & heating range that you can adjust accordingly. Since there were a total of 7 in our party, an 18% service charge was added, as explained before we were seated. I appreciated that forthcoming detail. We requested separate checks and they happily obliged. Highly recommend this spot.

I don't understand how a restaurant can place so much trust in customers handling extremely hot pots with an open flame underneath. Instead of being able to sit down, relax, and enjoy your meal, you're constantly worrying about the fire, the heat, and the possibility of burning yourself. The pots are so incredibly hot that you can't even enjoy your food without constantly burning your mouth or waiting for it to cool down. The heat and fumes coming from underneath the pots made the experience even more uncomfortable. Dining out should be enjoyable, not stressful or potentially dangerous. I also would NOT recommend this restaurant for families with young children. Between the open flames, boiling-hot soup, and extremely hot pots, I personally feel there are too many safety concerns, especially when you're surrounded by other customers who may not be familiar with handling this type of setup. To make matters worse, I actually burned myself when boiling-hot liquid splashed out of my pot. Because of that experience, I didn't even feel comfortable taking my leftover soup home. The portion sizes were also disappointing for the price, and the service wasn't the best either. Overall, I genuinely don't think this restaurant is worth the money or the risk. What was supposed to be a nice dinner turned into an uncomfortable and stressful experience. I came to enjoy a meal, not spend the entire time worrying about getting burned. Unfortunately, I would not return or recommend this place.

Basically a pot of instant ramen with a few sad slices of sausage, some Spam, a couple pieces of tofu, and some questionable ground meat that tasted kinda off. That's it. The broth wasn't even good. Like, what exactly are people hyping up? The Galbi Jjim was just as bad. The beef ribs clearly weren't braised long enough. The meat wasn't tender at all, and the tissue was still tough and chewy. I've literally made better at home. And don't even get me started on the service. When we arrived for our reservation, one male staff member couldn't even be bothered to look at us or acknowledge us. We told him we had a reservation, and he just walked away. Like... seriously? The female staff member was at least somewhat nice, but that's about the only good thing I can say. We got there at 6:30 PM, and by 7:30 PM, they were already rushing us to pay. We were literally still eating and chatting, with more than half the food still on the table. We chose this restaurant because it was centrally located between our friend group. There is plenty of parking as this is located in a mall. There's a huge sign on the outside of the building my the mall entrance showing where Haidilao is. We had an infant with us and the staff brought out not only a high chair, but a toy set and offered a kids menu as well free of charge! We were blown away by the care! They also provided hair ties and aprons for us! The staff were extremely attentive during our meal. Any trash or empty plates were carried out within minutes. We went through many plates so we were constantly being visited by various staff caring for the table. It was also extremely clean inside! I saw staff cleaning the sauce area - down to the spaces between the diff sauce offerings. That's amazing attention to detail. We got the basic menu for the group. The meat quality was excellent - my only note is I wished they offered meat scissors! The strips of meat are pretty long and is tough to eat as one big bite and not the easiest to break apart with just chopsticks. The veggies were very fresh! We thought there would be more apps but maybe they were available in a different menu. No complaint because we were really full! I think there's a dessert cart which we'll need to check out next time. We got some mints after paying for our check and the staff actually gave us even more after we asked about the different flavors (the packaging was in Chinese). It didn't really stand out to me in any special way. the ingredients you choose that actually go in the broth can be pretty expensive as they add up which normally shouldn't be too big of a problem except I felt it was overpriced. compared to other places, you're not really getting much food for what it's worth. I think we ended up choosing like 2 proteins and the enokki mushroom just because of that. on the other hand, I did like the spice bar, though I think not everything was included, and their drinks are actually pretty tasty and have a nice variety to choose from! I just probably wouldn't go again unless it was for a big party/group because again, for 2 people you can get more food at other hotpot places with more ingredients than here and at a lower price.
