When it comes to hotpot bowls, this boiling point is one of the most popular spots in Chino Hills. There's always a line here so make sure to get in queue when you arrive. Only way to do that is to check in person on their computer when you enter. Parking - Plentiful and free in a large shared lot. My personal go to here is the #6 Milk Cream Curry Hot Soup 咖哩奶蓋鍋, non spicy & Vermicelli. It's always delicious and portions are huge as well even though the bowl may look small. I love that the bowls come with a choice of free drinks between green tea or winter melon tea. They may change the options here or there but I always prefer green tea. Overall, a solid hotpot spot in Chino Hills, although not very spacious inside, the lighting is dark in there which makes the vibe a bit more calm. It's been a while since my last visit. When we first walked in, I noticed it wasn't as busy as it used to be. Before, there was usually at least a 15-minute wait. It also looked like the interior had been updated a bit, so I wasn't sure if there had been a change in ownership. The food, however, was still very good. Our server, Sarah, was friendly, attentive, and quick to help with anything we needed. We had the Beef and the Taiwan dishes, and both were delicious as always. We'll definitely be back again soon. I have been to several boiling point locations, particularly in the OC. I understand why the reviews in this location is not the greatest, but wanted to give it a try. I arrived & plenty of parking spots and place was packed with customers. The wait was quick within a 2 min time frame and they directed me to our table. I don't think they knew I sat before the other customers arrived after me and they took their order. Had to flag a staff member down and they took my order. Food arrived and order the beef small pot with white rice. It was very hot and delicious. Overall 4/5. They need to improve on service and making sure customer are well taken care of. read more

Its always so cold in there which is a nice balance when youre eating steaming hot pot. Service has always been great, clean, theyre attentive with refilling the broth if needed. Walked in and asked to be put on the waitlist, and the worker (I believe her name was Truong) told us it was a 45-minute wait... meanwhile there were at least 4 empty tables clearly visible. We didn't argue and decided to just order to-go instead. While waiting (about 20 minutes), not a single one of those empty tables got sat. Then another couple walked in, asked about the waitlist, and I told them what I was told--that they weren't taking any more people. But they asked anyway... and somehow got seated right away. That made zero sense. Either there was space or there wasn't--why tell some customers no and seat others? Super inconsistent and honestly frustrating service. If you're closing soon, just be upfront instead of giving random wait times and picking who gets seated. read more

I love Boiling Point, but my recent visit to the Chino Hills location was a bit of a mixed bag. The air conditioner inside the restaurant was absolutely FREEZING, to the point where it actually made it uncomfortable to sit and eat. On top of that, my order was messed up because they put cilantro inside the hot pot even though I specifically asked for no cilantro. The food flavor is still great as always, but between shivering the whole time and picking out greens, it was just an okay 3-star experience this time around. read more

I've been to boiling point so many times and usually have had a great experience because it's one of the only hot pot places that has a vegetarian option. However, I went in on a sunday with my husband and some friends 30ish min after opening, and when I ordered, I was told the vegetarian hot pot was out of stock which was so surprising because it was the beginning of the day. I asked for other options that could be made vegetarian and was given one option, when asking if I can substitute the meat for veggies or tofu, I was told that's not possible. I ended up getting a broth that was essentially all water. Not flavorful at all. Definitely not worth the money. Our other friend has a shellfish allergy and was making sure what he was ordering didn't have shellfish and the workers were unable to verify whether what he ordered was safe for him to eat. It took 10-15 min for us to get confirmation on his allergen and a substitute for me. While I understand restaurants can run out of options, it definitely sucks when there are really no alternatives present. Wish they updated their menu to note what was out of stock so that maybe we would have just gone somewhere else to eat that day. Still love boiling point, but will likely not come back to this location. read more

Great comfort food.. my family and I always enjoy dining here. The service is great, servers are attentive and friendly. Big plus that they include a free drink (green tea or winter melon drink) during lunch time. I always order the beef hot pot. The beef hot pot mild is a bit spicy though, but it has all my favorites in there. Someone else in my party got the seafood tofu and it looked good as well. Given the food here aren't quick burgers but satisfying yet boiling soups, don't expect to be in and out in 15 minutes. With that being said, you may sign it by the door and add your party to the EList. Outside of that, you'll find a chilly environment full of boiling soups, walk with consideration and keep your children seated! We order the #4 which I believe is their most iconic soup. Still tastes the same, as well as its portions. Unsurprisingly, the pricing has gone up; I'd rather pay more to have the same quality than have them replace proteins or sides to keep at a cost effective rate. What's better to have on a cold night other than Boiling Point? We came here right after we went grocery shopping at 99 ranch supermarket around 9:15pm. Thank goodness there was no wait when we got there. Boiling point is located in the same plaza as Meet Fresh, and other restaurants, and Costco. It wasn't that bad looking for a parking space at night. I don't know how it is during the day. I ordered my usual mild flavored beef hot pot with a side of their vermicelli, and for the drink I'm so used to getting their iced green tea. Mild flavored hot pot definitely has a kick to it. So if you don't usually eat spicy I would recommend getting no spice. I like how their side vermicelli is now in a bag instead of them bringing it out in the open in the bowl. We decided to order their beef bowl with rice and an appetizer (spicy tangy beef). The beef in the beef bowl tasted like beef jerky, not sure if that's how it should be made. As for the appetizer, I feel like they took the beef from my hot pot and poured some spicy tangy oil over it. So nothing to rave about. Service was on point perhaps because they were not that busy. Waiter took the orders and the food came out soon after. I like the fact that they refilled my broth more than once and I didn't have to ask for it. I like coming here for their Beef Hot Pot. It has a good portion of meat and veggies, and you get to choose from a side of rice or noodles. I didn't get to try this place as it was crowded and there was a one hour line. I ended up going on another day for lunch. Even during lunch time with available tables there was a short 10 ish minute sit as they were understaffed. Food was good, but I personally prefer pot on fire. Wintermelon tea stood out, as it was delicious and not many places offer it. I have been coming here for about 3 years and come almost monthly bringing my wife or friends. I have brought dozens of friends and family to this location (and their other locations) and every single person either really liked or absolutely loved the beef pot. I'm Mexican so my family was a bit skeptical because of the fish cakes but after trying it, the bowl was left empty with full stomachs. I will say that everyone we brought here that likes spicy food found the mild pretty spicy. But I will also say, if they really like spice, they wouldn't say this... That being said, the mild spice level is pretty strong for non-spice lovers. My wife and I have a routine here: 1) mix all of the sauces on the table into the little trays they give, dip each bite into it and enjoy every bite 2) ask for extra bowls so we can keep the soup boiling the entire time and serve ourselves the bowl and cool to our temperature 3) The portion size is about double for us so we always ask for containers for the soup and the rice. Then the next day we re-heat it on the stove and like many soups, the beef pot has SO much more flavor the next day. 4) If we are visiting my parents and they see us with our to go containers, they expect us to have brought them some beef pot (we got them hooked too!) I usually try to be really understanding with service workers since I work in customer service myself and always try to tip generously, but the experience my group had today was honestly disappointing. Our server, Emiliano, seemed very uninterested the entire time and didn't provide good service. When we asked him to speak up because we genuinely couldn't hear him, he would still barely speak loud enough for us to understand. Since it was our first time there, we also had a few simple questions about the menu, and he seemed visibly annoyed whenever we asked anything. What upset me most was that one of my friends has a shellfish allergy, and when we asked him to confirm whether the tempura contained shrimp, he said he would check but either forgot or never actually checked. The tempura ended up in the hot pot, and when we asked other workers, nobody seemed to know for sure whether there was shellfish in it. Situations involving allergies should be taken seriously, and there wasn't really an apology or urgency about it. I will say the service improved afterward, and I really appreciated Kiki stepping in to help us because she was much kinder. I just wish the experience had started that way. read more

This place is 100% worth the wait on a busy Friday Night! Despite the long wait, the workers were striving to bring spectacular service by seating people accordingly and in a timely manner. Every one is so attentive and making sure we are enjoying our meal. Once seated, the wait for food is conveniently quick. The spice level for Beef was perfect! I burned the roof of my mouth earlier in the day so I didn't want to go for flaming, however Medium still had a good kick to it but not too much. Their garlic soy sauce is a super yummy topping. The restaurant is petite and intimate. Pudding Sweet Milk with boba is my favorite! I can't wait to try the Taro Oolong Milk Tea (it was sold out) This is a great way to the beginning of a joyous Fall! Went for the lunch special- yay for free tea drink with order! The beef hotpot was so good! It already comes with vermicelli noodles, but they ask if you want vermicelli or rice on the side. Didn't mind the extra noodles at all! Soup flavor was great and I was especially impressed how much beef is in it. It had pretty good quality beef.
