Combo 8. Pork chop and old fashioned noodle. Also comes with lemon black tea. $16.
    Jessica M.

Solid place for a quick lunch! Came here around 1130am with my parents on a weekday. Got combo 8 for $16.50 because I wanted noodles and a drink. The pork chop was really good. I do wish that they cut it into smaller pieces, but it's okay. The noodles were just okay. The combo comes with the old fashioned noodles, which is basically just soy sauce based. It tasted pretty good until I tried my mom's signature noodle. It was basically a spicy dan dan noodles. I think next time I'd just go with combo 4. But I really wanted that drink today haha. The drink was lemon tea. I usually never get lemon tea unless it's free but it did its job. I would never full price for it here though! There was only one other table when we arrived, but a few to go orders and a few more tables on our way out. I can imagine this place might get busy if you arrive too late. Plus there were only 2 or 3 people working so it might get backed up. Parking was easy.

Simple, authentic and delicious Three word describe this affordable yet good food quality place. The noodles..... super tasty. I got sesame noodles and it did not disappoint. And the potsticker, the moment of the first bite, can tell it has fresh ingredients. The lady who took my order in the counter very nice. I chose combo 4 and allowed to substitute the signature noodles to sesame noodles. Everything pretty much self service, including sauce (soy, garlic, sesame, etc.) and where to put the tray back. This simplicity is designed for some people who cares for quality and not too much on the service.

My husband loves Ba Fang as it gives him the ultimate nostalgia of eating it everyday after school growing up in Taiwan. We were excited to try it in the US! Service was a little slow on a Wednesday afternoon but it looked like there was a photoshoot going on. We ordered to go - potstickers were as husband remembered and loved them. I personally wished they were less greasy and a bit crispier at the bottom. Otherwise not bad! Ordered the kimchi, signature, wonton soup, and hot and sour soup(?).

3.7453 stars Bafang is reliably satiating. While nothing is particularly outstanding, everything is okay good. I find most dishes a tad bland, but the overall quality is pretty good. Of all the potstickers and dumplings, I like the corn and chicken potstickers best. The addition of the corn gives it subtle sweetness. I recently tried the Taiwanese beef noodle soup ($16.75) and was pleasantly surprised. Like most of the other things I've tried, the noodles have a solid base - the beef is nice and tender, the bok choy bok choys, and the noodles have a good chew. Beyond that, I found the broth to be lacking and needed a little more umph. It's good, but not great. Bafang is a solid place to satiate all your dumpling/noodle needs.

The beef noodle soup is to die for. If you're feeling adventurous get the mala one (spicy but not too spicy) for a nice kick. It comes in a big bowl with super delicious broth that is just irresistible. Place is quite clean but you may need to give the tables a wipe down as there's no one cleaning them as it's more of a cafeteria style where you clean them yourself. Even though there are always a lot of people in there we never have issue finding seating. Other items we tried are all tasty and super fresh. Our favs are the spicy wonton and the potstickers. Pork chops are good too but on the oily side so we only get this occasionally. Price is very reasonable and plenty of parking out front. Bonus: there are superchargers in the parking area which is really convenient.

First time here. Definitely get the combos, you'll get your moneys worth. You can order at register or through kiosk tablet. The best thing I had there was the potstickers. I thought the signature noodles had way too much peanut flavor. There isn't anything like chili oil to make your sauce spicier. They had a handmade spicy sauce and it wasn't spicy at all. The environment was nice and clean.

My eldest daughter and I were in the Chino Hills area. We wanted to try something different for dinner. We were curious about Bafang Dumpling and found ourselves giving this place a chance to wow us. Our first time here... It's a quaint and bright establishment. We ordered our food via kiosk. You may walk up to the counter and order if you choose. We were wowed by their signature potstickers that were amazingly tasty. We were excited about their signature noodles. They were good, but we found them to be too oily though. Otherwise, it would have been another wow. Their spicy wontons was flavorful. Katsu chicken was decent. Drinks were okay... nothing special. They offer frozen potstickers to be purchased, too. Staff was okay. Service was average. We ordered to go, but we ate some of the foods here. I think the foods are packaged in to-go boxes regardless if you dine-in or take-out... not 100% sure though. Yeah, I would come back for their yummy potstickers and try their other noodles. Happy Bafang'ing!

Signature noodle was a good portion. Though small, really filling.

I do love their signature pan fried potstickers the best! Those were my fav! The corn and chicken plus regular steamed signature dumplings were just ok. I just have more of a preference for the pan fried ones. The noodles were good. The signature, somewhat spicy noods were tasty but a lil too spicy for me, but not as bad as some other spicy azn noods could go. It was bearable. I think I liked that more than the old fashioned noods. I originally asked for some green onion and cilantro toppings for both our noods, but they came without them. Had to go back and request them. Sauces were ok. The sesame oil one was very mild and didn't really taste of sesame. I liked the vinegar, garlic and chili sauces. Pricing was very reasonable. 2 noodles and 3 orders of dumplings (5 to 6 in each) plus 2 tea drinks came out to around $42. The drinks needed more sugar to be sweeter lol! But the black iced tea had a faint taste of toasted vanilla creme. They were ok. I'd try the milk teas with soy next time. When meals come out under $50 and we're both pleasantly full and even have some leftover, it's a good deal for sure! Forgot to take a photo of the old fashioned noods but they were just the lighter looking noods cuz of the non-spicy sauce.

    Combo #2 and chili chicken
    Joe N.

The ordering process is easy, they have both the kiosk and the cashier if you prefer to get recommendations. I went with the combo #2 which came with wonton soup and 12 dumplings. I also got a side order of the chili chicken! I would say that the chili chicken was my favorite. I would give it a 8.5/10. I would have just liked a little more for the price point, but the flavor and sauce that they offered were amazing. I ended up using the chili sauce for the dumplings. The dumplings alone, were a little lacking in flavor. But when paired with the garlic sauce or the chili sauce (which I recommend) is the way to eat it. The wonton soup is super good and they give out great portions!

Their bento combination plates are our go to - great value as it comes with an entree, sides, and a drink. You pick your entree and they fill the bento with a variety of sides (different each time). All the sides are delicious. Our go-to order is the Fried Chicken Steak with Chili Sauce Combo 椒麻雞排便當 and the Fried Fish Filet with Spicy Salt Combo 椒鹽魚片便當. Their popcorn chicken is crispy and flavorful, too. I love that you can now adjust sweetness and ice levels on the drinks. Easy to order online and the food is always ready quickly. Hands down our favorite place to eat!

Much of the menu my mom used to make so there was the high nostalgia factor. Their prices are really good and food was decent. There's a take out area on one side of the restaurant complete with a large fridge with a huge variety of frozen items you can take home and heat up or cook - this includes soups , stews , dumplings etc. They also have some Taiwanese desserts - their shaved ice was massive though they kinda skimp on the amount of toppings you get. We ordered a variety of dishes - their star does seem to be their combo plates which came with hearty portion of your chosen item, homemade sides and a drink choice (includes milk tea, cold teas, sodas) . My only gripe was the older lady who works there (maybe she's the owner?) - she was a bit rude. We had a little bit of a wait so we were in the take out area and perusing the frozen items and she told us we had to wait outside. Bruh? There's no one in this area. We thought we were the only ones being shoo'd out but later saw her trying to shoo out a bunch of people waiting for their online orders, saying in mandarin that too many people inside is bad for air quality. LOL Then when we finally got seated she told us that it would take 40 minutes for us to get our food. And she rushed my daughter to order saying she has to leave and will have to come back if she doesn't order right then. My dad at this point was hangry and wanted to split, but my sis and I were like we drove alllll the way here. Let's just wait for the food. So of course the food comes out in maybe 10 minutes on the first dish and maybe 20 minutes on the last dish. We figure the lady is trying to weed out the unfaithful lmaooo. Later when we were done with our meal , my dad asked if we can have our desserts and the lady was like (in mandarin) "you're not the only one waiting for dessert. A lot of other people are too". Say what ? Odd customer service, ok food , but I dunno if I would go hella out of my way to come back when there's plenty of tasty Taiwanese options in the San Gabriel area. Love the big Taiwan flag on display though!

Just last weekend I tried one from Tasty House in Chino hills by 99 ranch, and BD cafe's version is by far the superior dish! The meat was perfectly marinated with flavor, juicy and tender to bite. The recommended thick noodles are chewy and has the perfect amount of Q. I was recommended the spicy version and boy was it just the right amount. Not for the faint of heart but not intolerable. It came with the side of "salted vegetables" for ultimate authenticity. Only thing I would say is I wish the salted vegetables are bigger pieces for more chewy goodness. The waitress was also very honest with me and not trying to make a sale like other wait staff often does. When I wanted to order spicy wontons, she looked at me with a questionable stare. I am a direct person so I asked what's on her mind. She suspected I wouldn't have room to eat the wontons with the hefty noodle soup, and she was right. 1 hour later, I am still sitting on the couch at home feeling full! Furthermore, I ordered the vegetarian radish cake and they gave it to me for free since they only had 2 slices instead of 3. The wait staff is honest and down to Earth, and really reminds me of myself and brings me pride to be a true Taiwanese. The Taiwanese tv playing in the background adds to the ambiance! Lastly, my curiosity got the best of me and I asked what's BD stand for. The waitress simply said 便當, or bento in mandarin. The food is great and it's gonna be a new favorite for me when I come visit!
