Tucked next to the Eastern side of the food hall, you'll find this modest selling spot. I ordered the garlic noodles and the pork belly bao. I wanted something different from their iconic dan dan noodles (try those if you haven't) and boy was I surprised. There isn't seating with them, so you must find a spot in the general area, no problems there. The garlic noodles will have real chopped garlic with a delicious flavoring that will have you satisfied with a stinky breath (not sorry) and the pork belly bao is insanely tender, you'll think you're not even chewing over how soft it is. It's garnished with a mustard topping on a steamed bun. Both of these items were on happy hour and I was fulfilled while not breaking the bank. Looking at the dish, it was made up of a few things such as pork belly, pickled sour vegetables, half of a soy sauce egg, and a bed of rice to sit on. And with the 60-70% of the bowl being rice, there was a decent amount of meat inside the bowl. For those looking for a hearty meal without too much quantity, the pork belly bowl could be a great choice. But if you need a bit more to feel full, I would suggest ordering the extra side of pork belly which gives a whole extra portion of food. With a large sum of Asian restaurants in the area, the price for both items was pretty fair all things considered. As for the flavor, there were many great parts about the pork belly bowl. The bowl comes with a generous scoop of chicken over white rice, paired with a braised egg and pickled mustard greens. The bowl that they served the rice in was laughable as it is clear that they looked for the smallest possible bowl to minimize costs and maximize profits. Awful. The beef noodle soup was basically swimming in a pool of oil. They were able to remake it, but it still was not edible.

Taiwanese food is similar, but very different from the five or so mainland Chinese cuisines. It is similar in some ways to Sichuan in spice, but also unique enough to gives us something special, like deep fried popcorn chicken. Yum My wife and I came here one evening to try Haven City Market's great foodie places. It's one gigantic food court, minus the retail mall and came away very impressed. The food options run the gambit, from various Asians foods to tasty desserts, to Hot Dogs and even a Crêpes place. But our favorite in Haven City was JoJo's. Maybe, I'm just missing our old Taiwanese tea place back in Phoenix. But both JoJo's and Fusion Tea Lounge in Mesa AZ makes the best popcorn chicken. read more

This restaurant was located inside the New Haven City food court and there was plenty of parking in the lot. They have a lot of different deals happening everyday as well for a pretty decent price. After ordering at the counter, you receive a buzzer. The food did come out quickly in 10 minutes. Dan Dan Noodle- Plenty of meat given and very flavorful! Popcorn Chicken- The chicken was in big chunks and I wished a bit more spicy. But the meat was tender and crispy on the outside. Beef Noodle Soup- They have chili sauce on the side if asked for. The broth was very flavorful (a bit salty) but it only came with two pieces of meat that wasn't a full chunk either. So it ended up being just noodle soup. read more

The cashier brought the wrong sauce, and instead of handling it himself, the cook sent her back again while he stood idle in the back. By that point, my food was cold, cold pork belly ain't it, so I requested a refund. Disappointed with the inefficiency and lack of urgency from the cook, I won't be returning to this location or giving them another chance. Don't waste your money on bad service in this economy. It seems like a deal but when i was handed the bag i thought they had forgotten my other dish. To my surprise the order was complete, but it is like half the size of previous orders. My family especially my kids lovesssss this place. The braised pork belly bowl is amazing! The pork was very soft and savory! We have been coming here at least twice a week and always buys 2 bowls for $20. Just the other day, I went with my kids and they increased the price. I visited on the evening of 10/18 around 8:20 PM and tried to order xiao long bao. Unfortunately, the female staff member working was shockingly rude. Without any explanation or attempt at kindness, she bluntly told me that if I couldn't tell, they were closing in 5 minutes and she "wouldn't be making those for us". She then dismissed both me and my mom, without even giving us the chance to order anything else. I was so confused by this because their posted hours say they close at 9 PM. So, I double-checked online, and it clearly states the same. What made it worse, I walked past the restaurant nearly 30 minutes later, and they were still open to serve customers. If they didn't want to make the xiao long bao, that's totally fine, just say so. There's no need to be rude or dismissive. This kind of customer service was really disappointing and left a bad taste beyond just the food. My mom and I were honestly both baffled at the attitude as we had no prior interaction and were just excited to see they had soup dumplings. Both the beef noodle soup and Taiwanese sausage was excellent! The soup had a great depth of flavor and spices. Jojo's Kitchen: Taiwan Eats hit the spot! :) They break down their menu into big eats which is an entree or small eats which is the appetizer. I obviously ordered a small eats of Taiwanese sausage, and I wasn't disappointed in the taste, only that I wish I ordered more haha! Also I ordered braised pork belly noodles, wow this was yummy and the flavor was perfect. And then I also ordered a large of the popcorn chicken. And a milk tea. Yes this sounds like a lot of food, so yes I had leftovers :) I did see a picture sign for popcorn chicken bao and it looked so good I was sad it was sold out.
