Popcorn Chicken (small), Braised Pork Belly Bowl
Angelynne Z.

Braised pork belly bowl is perfect in size for a 1 person lunch - I would say the bowl was a bit pricey for $12-13, given its size, but it's pretty good considering there aren't many similar options elsewhere in the area. The meat is well marinated and fatty parts really melt in your mouth. They also top up the sauce so you get that flavor throughout the rice as well, which is great because it tastes amazing. Popcorn chicken ($8 for small, $12 for large) tastes as expected and would recommend if you do decide to grab a rice plate or any other entree here as a side

Continuing to find some of the best Taiwanese eats in the Greater Los Angeles area, I found Jojo's Kitchen with a large percentage of reviews talking about great food. Looking to try some for myself, I found myself looking at the restaurant's pictures and trying their food on a Sunday evening. For this visit, I decided to try their Braised Pork Belly over Rice ($13) with a side of Pork Belly ($7). Looking at the dish, it was made up of a few things such as pork belly, pickled sour vegetables, half of a soy sauce egg, and a bed of rice to sit on. And with the 60-70% of the bowl being rice, there was a decent amount of meat inside the bowl. For those looking for a hearty meal without too much quantity, the pork belly bowl could be a great choice. But if you need a bit more to feel full, I would suggest ordering the extra side of pork belly which gives a whole extra portion of food. With a large sum of Asian restaurants in the area, the price for both items was pretty fair all things considered. As for the flavor, there were many great parts about the pork belly bowl. The pork was very fatty and saucy which made each piece taste like a sweet soy sauce. Pairing the food with the pickled vegetables, I enjoyed the sweet and sour exchange in the dish. And with the half soy sauce egg, the dish had a grounded chalky texture that was rich with savory flavors. I enjoyed being able to have these all together in a single bowl with the neutral rice to ground the food. Jojo's Kitchen is definitely an underrated spot in the Rancho Cucamonga area. With a good price to portion ratio and great flavors with their food, this spot is definitely a solid 4 star place. If you're looking to try Taiwanese food, I'd be happy to suggest Jojo's Kitchen as a faithful option. But for those looking for larger quantities of food, know that it might be better to look for other places. Great food!

Ordered takeout via DoorDash and the food was prepared quickly. Pricing is decent. My only complaint was that the fried dumplings and egg rolls were saturated in oil. We informed the manager and they were willing to remake them for us. Will be back for sure.

Review 24/365 Challenge I 1st discovered Jojo Kitchen Taiwan Eats when i 1st visited Haven City Marketplace 3 years ago... I stumbled upon the best popcorn chicken. Usually a lot of Taiwanese places don't put basil Leaves in their popcorn chicken. I love that hint of basil in my popcorn. Brings me back to the original way of getting these delicious bites. Love that they offer different varieties of Taiwanese comfort food. From noodles to dumplings to rice dishes and tea. Really authentic Taiwanese flavoring food. You name it, They have it all. I love Asian food. I mean I am Asian lol Returned to Haven City Marketplace 2.20.25 My oldest son had a Tennis Match w a local school in Eastvale. I was gonna be posted here for a good 4 hours and haven't ate lunch yet: So decided to go on a foodie adventure myself and get my popcorn chicken fix. I'm hardly in the area around Ontario/Rancho Cucamonga. Since i was by myself, i had a lot of time to enjoy, was also really hungry and everything looked all so good. I ordered a lot and figure my son will be really hungry after his match. I'll have dinner ready for him to enjoy and easily can eat in the car. What I ordered Popcorn Chicken, Braised Pork Belly Noodle, Salt and Pepper Shrimp Rice, Jojo Bao Shrimp/Jojo Bao Chicken & passion milk tea Got the items in a timely manner. Associate was really nice and informative with my questions on the Bao and noodles. Located next to Mikes & Henry's BBQ. Looks like they are opening up a 2nd location in the REDLANDS Public Market Place.

Went to try taiwanese food before going to airport. Found this place on yelp and got there before their happy hour special end at 5pm. Got the mini btaised pork with egg and pickle but when it arrived. OMG, look at how different compared to the picture in hqppy hour special. Caveat emptor. So disappointed.

Braised Pork Belly Noodle and popcorn chicken rice

The staff were very friendly and nice! Was very helpful for the picky eaters who don't like mustard greens and unsure about what they want! Food was delicious. I personally enjoyed the mustard greens, very savory. The braised pork belly was delicious, very fatty, tender and well seasoned. The popcorn chicken was good as well! I think the rice would've gone better with the braised pork belly, but I'm a noodle girlie, so I got noodles, however I'd recommend rice so it can absorb the delicious fatty flavor into the rice.

I'm changing my review to 4 stars because my friend ate the rest of the popcorn chicken and liked it. Perhaps it's a matter of preference? I prefer mine with basil and spice. Service is really good though!

We visited Haven City Market for the first time this weekend and let me begin by saying what a fun spot to hang out with friends! Ample seating, lovely music, and even a fenced in outdoor area that is pet friendly. At Jojo's, we tried their popcorn chicken rice bowl. Service was fast because we went during early afternoon. The bowl comes with a generous scoop of chicken over white rice, paired with a braised egg and pickled mustard greens. The bowl was very flavorful but I took a star off because I found the chicken slightly dry. Seasoning was excellent though. I also wish it came with a side of vegetables to round out the meal. But would I order again? Yes!

Place seems to be going more downhill each time I come. Mainly with the portion sizes decreasing and the cost for the food increasing. My chicken bowl cost 16 dollars and for that much I expect to have something left over. They cut their egg in half now, much smaller bowls, but price is going up each time I go. Chicken feel more mushy with the coating than before and in general just a blah experience. For 13 you can grab some on and on next door. Used to love this place but the experience of the food is going down and cost is going up,... but they at least have their name on a bowl,

Undercooked fish, wet batter

This review is for the Redlands location at the Redlands Public Market. I was genuinely excited to try their Taiwanese snacks and dishes. I ordered the beef noodle soup and the popcorn fish bowl, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The beef in the noodle soup was tough and chewy--nearly inedible. The popcorn fish was undercooked and still had wet batter on it, which made it unappetizing. The entire order took nearly 30 minutes and cost over $40, which didn't feel worth it given the quality. That said, I do want to highlight the two young adults working that day--they were friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. I really wanted to love this place, but sadly, the food fell short.

Very good eats. Some good authentic Chinese food, I was happy with both dishes. Got the braised pork belly and popcorn chicken over rice. Braised pork belly flavor was delicious and contained good amount of fat which, for a dish like this, I prefer. Popcorn chicken fried to a crispy crunch, not all restaurants be getting it right but Jojo's did a pretty good job. As a place in Haven City, it's a small stall but provides great food and options.

Delicious Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken
Georgie M.

Taiwanese food is similar, but very different from the five or so mainland Chinese cuisines. It is similar in some ways to Sichuan in spice, but also unique enough to gives us something special, like deep fried popcorn chicken. Yum My wife and I came here one evening to try Haven City Market's great foodie places. It's one gigantic food court, minus the retail mall and came away very impressed. The food options run the gambit, from various Asians foods to tasty desserts, to Hot Dogs and even a Crêpes place. But our favorite in Haven City was JoJo's. Maybe, I'm just missing our old Taiwanese tea place back in Phoenix. But both JoJo's and Fusion Tea Lounge in Mesa AZ makes the best popcorn chicken.

Parking situation may differ if you go in the middle of the day as it is in a plaza with a grocery store and other shops/restaurants. The restaurant is also on the smaller side in terms of seating so keep that in mind too if you go at a busier day/time. I ordered the beef noodle soup non-spicy. It's a very filling meal with good chunks of beef and a lot of noodles. I have a low spice tolerance, hence why I had to order it non-spicy, but I'm sure the spicy version is even better. Although the name of the shop is Cup Noodles, the noodles they use are definitely not as they are of better quality than you would get in an instant noodle cup. What stood out to me the most was how the egg in the noodle soup was cooked! It was fried and most of the yolk was cooked through expect for the very center which had a little pocket in the yolks that was a tiny bit runny. My friend also ordered a pepper fungus (woodear mushroom) for the table which was yummy and a good palette cleanser/flavor break while eating the noodles.

This place is so bomb! They have the best Taiwanese food for miles!…read more We have pretty much ordered from here at least once a week or so for years and we still enjoy every order. Their bento combination plates are our go to - great value as it comes with an entree, sides, and a drink. You pick your entree and they fill the bento with a variety of sides (different each time). All the sides are delicious. Our go-to order is the Fried Chicken Steak with Chili Sauce Combo 椒麻雞排便當 and the Fried Fish Filet with Spicy Salt Combo 椒鹽魚片便當. Their popcorn chicken is crispy and flavorful, too. I love that you can now adjust sweetness and ice levels on the drinks. Easy to order online and the food is always ready quickly. Hands down our favorite place to eat!

Much of the menu my mom used to make so there was the high nostalgia factor. Their prices are really good and food was decent. There's a take out area on one side of the restaurant complete with a large fridge with a huge variety of frozen items you can take home and heat up or cook - this includes soups , stews , dumplings etc. They also have some Taiwanese desserts - their shaved ice was massive though they kinda skimp on the amount of toppings you get. We ordered a variety of dishes - their star does seem to be their combo plates which came with hearty portion of your chosen item, homemade sides and a drink choice (includes milk tea, cold teas, sodas) . My only gripe was the older lady who works there (maybe she's the owner?) - she was a bit rude. We had a little bit of a wait so we were in the take out area and perusing the frozen items and she told us we had to wait outside. Bruh? There's no one in this area. We thought we were the only ones being shoo'd out but later saw her trying to shoo out a bunch of people waiting for their online orders, saying in mandarin that too many people inside is bad for air quality. LOL Then when we finally got seated she told us that it would take 40 minutes for us to get our food. And she rushed my daughter to order saying she has to leave and will have to come back if she doesn't order right then. My dad at this point was hangry and wanted to split, but my sis and I were like we drove alllll the way here. Let's just wait for the food. So of course the food comes out in maybe 10 minutes on the first dish and maybe 20 minutes on the last dish. We figure the lady is trying to weed out the unfaithful lmaooo. Later when we were done with our meal , my dad asked if we can have our desserts and the lady was like (in mandarin) "you're not the only one waiting for dessert. A lot of other people are too". Say what ? Odd customer service, ok food , but I dunno if I would go hella out of my way to come back when there's plenty of tasty Taiwanese options in the San Gabriel area. Love the big Taiwan flag on display though!
