    Curry Flavor Hot Soup
    Rosa R.

Just came back from a trip to Colorado Springs, where we drove to Denver and enjoyed dinner at Tasty Pot there. We enjoyed dinner so much, we were thrilled to find out there was one restaurant here in California. Obviously, we had to check it out. We noticed that the menu is slightly different, and yes, the food was also slightly different but good, we did enjoy dinner. I was a little disappointed as the restaurant in Denver had this Thai Curry hot pot that I loved but, unfortunately it wasn't offered at the restaurant here in California. Customer service was good.

Accidentally ended up here after confusing this spot for another, but decided to give this place a chance. We were a fairly big group and had made a reservation, but upon checking in, the vibe was a little off. Ordering and receiving our food was fine, but was a little disappointed the servers never came by to ask if we needed anything or if anything was missing. We had one person in our party never receive his food; turns out the server never put in the order and only found this out mid-way through the meal after flagging our server down. The server asked if he still wanted it, but it would basically come when everyone was done with their meal. Mistakes happen of course, but was surprised that the server didn't apologize and made it seem like our party was to blame. Very bizarre and left us all with a bad taste. (In hindsight, maybe we should have left and went to the original place we meant to go...) The food was good, but not good enough to warrant bad customer service. Will not be coming back.

    Peach Lemonade...tasty

My first time and I was not disappointed. I ordered delivery and got the Veggie Pot with the Thai broth in a medium spice level. I added a side of beef slices and a peach lemonade. The veggie pot was full of fresh vegetables: broccoli, taro root, tofu, tofu skin, green beans, and so much more. There were glass noodles at the bottom of the bowl that had soaked up the broth and were tender and delicious. The beef slices were dry and packaged in a side container. I wish they had been placed into the hot pot to soak up some of the flavor, but that was my fault, I should have stated that in the notes. The side of rice was topped with black sesame seeds, but there just wasn't enough! Not sure if there are refills in the restaurant, but I would probably order an extra side of it next time. The dipping sauces were tasty and went well with the beef and the vegetables. The peach lemonade was tasty. Nothing exceptional about it, but it was flavorful. It tasted more like a peach lemonade tea, but I wouldn't mind getting it again. Overall the food was delicious, I am full and still have enough leftovers for another meal. I'll definitely be back again.

Feeling under the weather so i tried the Herbal Hot Soup. I enjoyed the abundance of veggies and the constant filling of soup, it definitely warmed me inside. Service was fast and staff were attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was pretty packed on a Sunday night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came during dinner time on a weekend, and even though they had a long waitlist, for a party of two, they took us in fairly quickly. We ordered the hotpot and it came out exactly as pictured. I noticed on the menu they also offer boba, toppings for your hot pot, and ramen. I noticed a bit later that someone order seafood boil. They have a lot going on here. The Kimchi Hot Pot with instant noodles was such a good flavor, it warmed me up on a cold night and was so filling. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has comfortable seating, a clean environment and prompt staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would come back here for more hot pot options.

This is one of my go to places in the area. I seriously loveeee eating here. I used to live in San Jose and would go there with friends a lot so when I heard they were opening one near me I got so excited! My opinion may be biased bc of the nostalgia I get from it, but I truly do love their hot pot! Every time I've been to this location service has been very efficient. I've never had a bad experience there but service has never been over the top amazing so it's just good, I have no complaints! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The area is quite spacious, one thing I found weird was that when the Cajun seafood boil place next door doesn't have enough seats, they're seated inside tasty pot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I don't think it's bothersome I just thought that was a little interesting I guess. As I said before I may be a little bias when I say i love their hot pot, but I definitely would recommend people to try it out. One note I have about this location is that I always get mild spice and sometimes it tastes not mild at all or more spicy. still very good, just inconsistent with the spice level at times.

Food is just mediocre but price is way too expensive. I mean if you only care about the portion, then that's great and you will be fine with it. We ordered Kimchi dumplings pot, beef hot soup, and popcorn chicken. Just because we ordered mild spicy on all the pot, doesn't mean the soup will all taste kinda blend.... Popcorn chicken tasted no season at all. Service: They only came took the order, brought the food out, and brought you check. If you ask to refill broth, then they will come by. If not, don't expect much.

My eldest daughter and I came here for Monday night dinner. Can't believe it has been about one year since our last visit. We wanted to try something different besides our go-to Seafood Lobster Hot Soup. Decisions, decisions! Well, we went with one Herbal Hot Soup + vermicelli with medium spice to be shared between us... which did not disappoint. Soup was very flavorful. Ingredients were plentiful, but wished there was one more head shrimp and one more quail egg. Didn't care for the chicken wing. Black chicken would have been better for the herbal soup. Spice level was perfect! Staff was very nice and attentive. They would come back to our table regularly without us asking to refill our soup with the actual soup base not just water... I think we had 3 refills. Thank you! We also got a couple drinks... one Mango Green Tea and one Old Plum Juice and Lemon. I got the latter... it wasn't as sour plummy and tangy as I would I have liked. I probably will not get again. Ambiance was very bright and inviting. Prices were very reasonable. The one thing I didn't get was the wings that is part of the biz logo. Why wings for Tasty Pot??? Maybe one day I'll get my answer. Thanks for the tasty pot Tasty Pot! We'll defintely return whenever we need some hot comfort soup to satisfy our tummy.

The food is amazing. I like the Cajun ramen. It is cheap 13$ and excellent. The beef broth is good as well. The calamari is little bit chewy, but it still crispy. The chicken wing lemon peper is the best. Good teksture, still warm , and good flavor. The service is friendly and kind. The place is clean and very big for parties. Will come back for sure to get cajun ramen and chicken wing pepper ! ;)

It was a lightly chilly Saturday evening date with my hubby and there was a 5 minute wait per their tablet dock. We were seated in a 2 seater table which was a little snug but it worked. We ordered the lamb and beef in regular size (good for 1 adult) There are only a few items that were large in size. The lamb was good (I wish it had fish balls but) it had 2 small meatballs, cabbage, pork blood rice cake, vermicelli noodles, cilantro, enoki mushrooms, kamaboku, tofu skin, the tiniest clams I've ever had, lol and 1 imitation crab meat stick. So I would say the soup was lacking quantity. I also asked for mild spice but it was more medium so I couldn't enjoy the broth as much which was a bummer. Pro Tip: Pot already comes with vermicelli noodles but they will still ask if you want vermicelli noodles or white rice on the side. I prefer variety so I got white rice and enjoyed the vermicelli that was already included in the soup. The fruit and milk tea options were appreciated. I got the grass jelly milk tea, it was pretty good! A little too sweet so next time, I might ask to lessen the sweetness level. The staff was attentive and refilled our clear plastic water cups (with ice) a few times. They also offered to add more soup base in our pot which I thought was nice. The ambiance was busy, loud, warm from all the soups & there were two TV's. Families and friends gathered for dinner, some sniffles circulate from the warm & spicy soups. My only 2 con's were not food related: 1. The line for the ladies restroom was super long! 2. The fact that we were 2 people seated in a 2 seater table meanwhile 1 lady had a table with 4 seats all to herself. That was a bit odd to us but not a game changer. Overall, we'd be back if we're craving hot pot! Nice spot!

Is this a all u can eat hotpot?

    It is not

Can you order in advance so that your meal is ready when you dine in?

I would guess that they probably wouldn't do that. It's not a fancy restaurant and the manager isn't that flexible to go to that length.

Can you build/ make your own soup besides the listed ones? and do they have sides?

You can substitute the broth but it'll cost extra. You can order additional sides, which also cost extra.

Are there hot pot items with no shellfish?

If it has shellfish you can opt to not have it put into your hot pot; it's very customizable!

    Is dine in open again?

YES INDOOR IS OPEN, BUT YOU CAN CHOICE FROM BOTH INSIDE OR OUTSIDE AREA.

Are there heaters placed for outdoor seating?

Hi Angela, we don't have a heater for our outdoor seating.

Are you open today (February 14th)? I just received a message said the restaurant is reopened!

Hi, we are opened. Our first day was Feb. 13th.

Have they reopened for outdoor dining yet?

Hi Joyce, we have reopened for outdooring dining. We are also doing to-go orders as well.

    Are they open for takeout?

Does anyone know if they're opened? I called multiple times but nobody picked up? Today's date is 9/5/20. Thank you!

Hi David, can you guys please update your hours on Yelp and remove your open status on delivery platforms if you're still not open? Thanks!

Would I be able to order kimchi for a side dish?

    Yes

The noodles were overcooked and mushy. The taste was okay. The items that were fried was decent. Now the curry we ate was weird. It tasted sour. We've eatin many different types of curry; Singaporean, Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc. We have never had that odd taste before with curry. Generally turmeric shouldn't be that way. We're our server know and ask about it (because it may have been spoiled). They didn't give an answer as to why it tasted sour until we asked again. And their answer was "maybe it was t to our liking." It was a strange taste... I don't know if that was their own rendition or used fish sauce or lemon grass or lime but it didn't fit right so we couldn't eat it. I still honestly don't know if the pot of curry was spoiled that we ate. The server (Sarah) did try to correct the issue by offering to replace the meal, and she also offered a small discount. We didn't see much that was suitable for us so we declined the offer. We left the spot and that was the end of that. The place was completely empty. No one was dining in. Now I know why and after reading all the other reviews regarding quality and taste.

I'm so glad we did because it ended up being one of the best ramen spots I've tried in the area. The noodles were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of chew, and the broth was rich and flavorful without being overly heavy or greasy. It wasn't watered down either. The pork slice were seriously thick! Honestly thicker than what I've gotten at some BBQ restaurants. Even with the generous cut, the pork was incredibly tender and easy to bite through without feeling tough at all. I also asked if they could make my ramen extra spicy, and they absolutely delivered. It just has soy, soy mixed sauce, chili oil, and black vinegar. I ordered the Wide Hand Pulled Noodles, Green and Onion Pot Stickers, and the Beef Rolls. Wide Hand Pulled noodles were ok. Honestly not much to brag about. I thought the noodles were cooked well but the flavor didn't really stand out to me. I believe it's served with chili oil, a mound of minced garlic and some vegetables. Outside of those ingredients I thought it needed more flavor or substance. The beef rolls were ok to me as well. I liked how crispy the roll was and size. Good portions of sliced beef served with cilantro. It was refreshing but the meat was generally cold with some warmness provided by the roll. But that quickly faded. Would prefer it to be warmer. The highlight was the pot stickers. Beef and onion were good. Really enjoyed the presentation of the dish. The edges of the pot sticker were really thick. Almost chip like. I enjoyed it as much as the dish itself. Would get it again. Overall I thought the food was ok. I'm sure there are better highlight dishes than what I ordered but they weren't selected this go around. Also the prices are a little higher than most dumpling spots so I just expected more.
