Checked out this place in person in Victoria Gardens. Siverlake Ramen is a chain, and I've ordered Togo before, but never ate in. It's typically a busier mall, so I expected a wait, but we got seated pretty quickly. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but we opted for inside. The service was relatively quick and smooth. The staff was pretty attentive and moved quickly. The food was good, I have eaten it before. It looks small in terms of portion size but was pretty decently filling. We got a combo that came with an appetizer (we opted for the broccolini (not pictured because we devoured it pretty quickly). It comes with sesame sauce and is charred pretty well. Really enjoyed that. Main course wise, we got the Shoyu Ramen with Pork and Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl, both which were super yummy. We also got a pint of beer and green tea for drinks, and it was good altogether. I'd say this is a pretty casual spot so no need to dress up. Seating can be a bit tight and it can get sunny due to the open windows without shades, but otherwise, pretty lax and chill spot for lunch or dinner. read more

My husband and I dined in here spontaneously. We were sat pretty quickly, it wasn't too busy and it was nice outside also. Everything's kept clean, and it's a nice vibe. I want to say that the servers are very quick and on point. They were very attentive with water, food, etc. the only thing that threw me off I guess was our California roll came out when we were almost done eating. For food, my husband got the chicken broth ramen and I got the classic ramen they offer with pork. I really wish it came with more pork pieces, the only give you one. I found it to be very tasty too so it was disappointing they only gave one. The ramen is okay, it's not like bad, it's good, it's just missing the "wow" factor for me. We went to Silverlake Ramen on a rainy, cold day because my wife was craving some warm ramen. Surprisingly, parking wasn't too much of a hassle since there weren't many people out. As soon as we walked in, the host seated us quickly and even offered some great recommendations. I wasn't in the mood for ramen, so I opted for the pork belly bowl and I must say, it was extremely delicious. I live in Victorville, but I would honestly come back just for that bowl alone. As for the ramen, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary for us. In fact, we felt it lacked some flavor. We've had authentic Japanese ramen before, and this just didn't quite compare. We got the ramen + appetizer deal and chose the chicken karaage, and wow that was tasty. I wish I had gotten the name of the host because she was incredibly attentive, friendly, and her food suggestions really hit the spot. I came with a group of 4 for dinner and we were quoted a wait time of 20 minutes but luckily we got seated after only about 10 minutes. We got a regular chicken karaage, regular chicken curry bowl, pork classic ramen, pork garlic truffle ramen, and a pork tsukemen. The food came out fairly quickly and I like how they put the utensils and napkins on the side for you to grab as needed. $8.50 Chicken Karaage (5/5) - The chicken was fried perfectly and there was a good amount of chicken per piece without it being overpowered by the breading. The spicy mayo sauce it was paired with was also delicious. $8.75 Chicken Curry Bowl (3/5) - This dish had around 3 pieces of chicken karaage in it but the flavors overall were good. I probably wouldn't get this again. $17.50 Garlic Truffle Ramen w. Pork (4/5) - The garlic truffle flavor was very prominent throughout the dish but at times did feel a little overpowering. It was still pretty good though! $16 Classic Ramen w. Pork (3.5/5) - Pretty standard dish but it did get too salty with every bite so that was a little disappointing. $19.05 Tsukemen w. Pork (3.5/5) - The noodles were perfectly cooked and the dipping broth it came with was served warm so that was a little disappointing. The flavors were good but tasted a little standard - I do think this dish was lacking some spice (costs extra $$). Overall, a solid dish but at this price point I probably wouldn't get it again. Overall, this is a solid place to get a real meal inside Victoria Gardens. Super excited to have a yummy ramen place near home! The location is perfect-- it's right next to one of the Victoria Garden parking structures. The restaurant offers both outdoor and indoor seating (even though the indoor seating is a bit limited). They have a great special that includes an appetizer and a ramen of your choice. They have a good selection of ramen and bowls. The food is super yummy and the staff is very friendly. We came here with a friend from out of town and had a really nice experience. The service was good, the workers are very attentive asking if we needed anything. Food was very good, but extremely spicy, but that just depends on what you order. If anything sitting inside was a little awkward because it felt cramped and if you're sitting inside it's like you're sitting with the staff because the tables are so close to the front counter. So even if we were the only people there eating at the time, it was kinda like the staff were eating with us. But that's not their fault at all, just the layout. a last min xmas shopping on rainy xmas eve type of lunch. last i had silverlake ramen was abt 3-4 yrs ago w the garlic truffle ramen. and as someone w zero preference towards truffle, my rating was v low. this time w a craving for a warming bowl of ramen, i ordered more to my liking ordered: classic ramen combo gyoza, spicy veggie ramen combo karaage classic ramen is what i think is their tonkotsu ramen. it was a light rich creamy pork broth, emphasis on the light bc usually halfway through a tonkotsu bowl, i experience major flavor fatigue, but this bowl kept me chopsticking for more. it had 1 piece of pork chashu which is a lacking amt frm experience, it was a thicker cut so maybe that's why, but i think it could have included at least 1 more piece. the chashu fit my standards of chashu in my ramen which is small ratio of fat to meat and not so charred that i taste the smoke in the texture, but the right amt just to cook it and bring out the flavors of the tender meat. if you do get flavor fatigue, mix the bean sprouts well into the ramen so that each bite is 50/50, it will brighten the flavor. the spinach was a good greenness that didn't take away frm the ramen. egg was a solid soft boiled jammy yolk. the black garlic oil i think didn't make too much of a difference, but if you want to truly compare, ask for the garlic oil ots and try the broth on its own first. noodles were yummy thin straight noods spicy veggie ramen: honestly not a lot of words. i think the vegan ramen at hironori may have tasted better than this one, but this one had a lighter more refreshing flavor. i do think it fell a little flat, but after squeezing some lemon into the broth, it was more to my liking. the broccolini was the real star imo, i think this would be "the chashu pork" of my veg ramens. tofu was firm/extra firm tofu if you're into that, personally am not. would up spice to medium for more of a kick. avocado was cool. mushrooms were yum but i like mushrooms gyoza: better than the karaage. i think tastes fine as is, but the spicy aeoli(?) w a lemon wedge is included. karaage: hironori is smm better, silverlake karaage is v avg. tastes yum tho if you squeeze lemon wedge into the aeoli(?) and dip the karaage into that seating by the window is beautiful, service is helpful, quick, and friendly on a xmas eve lunch happy i gave this place a second shot, i think it's now my go to spot for ramen if i'm ever craving it while in riv. would try diff appetizers next time. thank you silverlake ramen for fueling my last min xmas shopping read more

We were excited to find a Silverlike Ramen in Victoria Gardens since we enjoy the one in Chino Hills so much. They're always so nice there. We walked in to get a table and were told that there was a 20 minute wait. We gave them our phone number and walked around. I put a timer on my phone to make sure to keep checking. With three minutes left, we got a text that our table was ready. It took us one minute to walk to Silverlake Ramen, and when we walked in, they said they couldn't find our name. We showed them the text and they told us that we were past the five minute deadline to get a table. We told them that we came in one minute and showed them the text again. They totally had attitude which is such bad customer service, not to mention the restaurant had a quarter seats open. We finally got a table and the menus. Within 10 minutes my chicken bowl came, but my husband's ramen didn't come for 15 minutes after I got mine and my drink came with his order not with mine. Terrible service. This review is only for the customer service and not the food. We won't be visiting the Rancho Cucamonga location again. read more

My 1st Silverlake Ramen visit was at Chino Hills, my 2nd visit was at University Town Center in La Jolla, and now my 3rd visit is at Rancho Cucamonga. They do have limited inside dining and lots of outside patio dining so no worries on space unless they get really really busy. Upon entry, I was actually looking for a kiosk, but they didn't have one. I walked up to the register and looked at the lady, but she didn't even bat her eyes at me LOL. I obviously did not exist in her presence at the time. However, she did make eye contact and asked the lady behind me if they were dining in or not. What the h*ck? I was slightly annoyed. After she seated the lady and her family, she walked back up to the register and still did not acknowledge my presence. I had to tell her I wanted to do take-out... then she saw me LOL. Knocking 1 star down for lack of customer service. Anyway, I got the Blaze ramen bowl + gyoza and large chicken kaarage. Ramen texture was on point. Soup was delicious, but it wasn't as savory as I would have liked. Pork belly was very thin compared to other Silverlake Ramen places. Egg was okay. Chicken kaarage was tender and tasty... I would get this again! I really wanted to rate this place with 4 stars and above, but I'm going to go with 3 stars. Maybe next time I will dine in... perhaps service and food will be better. Honestly, overpriced for the $16 plus fee. The Shoyu ramen was tasty but not completely satisfying. Not enough noodles or meat, probably could have used more veggies. Definitely should've been priced lower for that less amount of food. Also, for how pricey the ramen and dishes are, they should've offered fresh lemonade instead of too sweet lemonade from the soda fountain. So that's why 3 stars. read more

The pork belly was good, but a bit tough. I wish it was more of a melt in your mouth type of pork belly. I also loved the chicken karaage with the spicy mayo dipping sauce. The chicken was crispy and juicy and a squeeze of lemon on them was perfect. The interior was a bit unclean, the air seemed murky and the surfaces seemed greasy. The bathroom was also pretty unclean. I would suggest keeping the restaurant cleaner for an optimal experience for the diner. The service was also fine. Very tasty! I didn't order ramen but I ordered a grilled pork rice bowl. I loved the toppings on this bowl. The price was also very reasonable. It was $13 for the large sized pork bowl! My favorite part about it is that there is pickled onions on it! I absolutely love pickled onions so much. The flavoring on the pork is also very tasty and delicious my little sister really enjoyed it. The seating seems to be mainly outside which isn't so bad. But if you have a smaller sized party, you could potentially be sat inside. Parking nearby is metered, but there is also a parking garage and lot that is just a short walk away. FOUR STARS The ambience at Silverlake Ramen is beautiful -- I love sitting outside, especially when it's a little chilly and they turn on the heated ceiling lamps. It feels super cozy and relaxing. The environment is clean, and the staff is kind and attentive. Our waters were always filled, and everything looked well-kept. As for the food -- the ramen is decent, but not amazing. I've tried the Truffle Ramen and the Blaze Ramen (mild) and both were just okay. The pork is tasty and tender, but the noodles and broth lack depth in flavor. The Blaze had heat but didn't give me that rich tonkatsu flavor I was hoping for. I'd personally rate the ramen a 3/5. The real star here is the Chicken Karaage Bowl. It's delicious, crispy, and actually a great deal for the price. The rice has flavor, the chicken is golden and crunchy, and the drizzle on top ties everything together. I got the regular size and it was perfect for a lighter meal, but if you're hungry, definitely go with the large -- the regular can feel a bit small. 5/5!! Just a heads up: if you order the ramen combo, the appetizer (like the karaage) is way smaller than ordering the appetizer by itself. I only got four pieces in the combo version (the picture) -- so don't expect the same portion regular appetizer. Overall, this is a great spot with chill vibes and great service. I'll definitely be back -- but next time, I'm skipping the ramen and going straight for that chicken karaage bowl! TL;DR: Beautiful ambiance with cozy outdoor seating and heated lamps. I signed up for the app which is awesome you get points at check in and freebies on your bday. I chose a free side for with my points and asked for a side egg and even thought The waitress said she added it to my order it never came. The same with my side of chili paste i ordered and didn't at first get it. I had to wait a while before the waitress came back. She then brought it, not to be rude or demanding but ramen gets cold and having to wait can make a difference. Usually I'm always very satisfied when I visit, I understand we have off days so I'm still a huge fan. I had my fair shares of ramen places and this one is not the best but it was good for what it was worth. The place was doing a Naruto themed where when you order Naruto's ramen dish you get an other a shirt or the seven leaf headband. This made the ambiance pretty chilled and relaxing . The food was pretty good I wish it was a bit more flavorful especially the truffle ramen , I barely tasted any truffle. But it was still good though which is good to fill you right up. The service was pretty quick and they were really nice to our table constantly checking up on us and making sure we're well taken cared of.
