Came here tonight for the first time to celebrate my sons 18th birthday. Food was delicious. Monica who was our waitress was very pleasant and took great care of us. She was very nice and congratulated my son. Food quality was great, our food came out fast and was very fresh. We had several rolls and chicken teriyaki for my 4 year old (btw the restaurant and employees were very kid friendly). These were our favorite roles: Odaiba (this one a a must try) Iron man Golden tiger Rose We got a free complimentary scoop of ice cream and a candle. The ice team was delicious! The restaurant was clean and well lit. Will definitely be coming back. Totally recommend trying this restaurant out. read more

I don't think I have ever eaten at an establishment where the meat was bad! The first bite was very small so I kinda wasn't sure, so I took a second bite and after two chews I immediately spit out the meat. I then smelled it and it smelled bad. The spicy tuna was so red, we didn't even bother trying it. The tempura was good as was the miso soup. Service wasn't good. I did mention the rotten meat at check out, but they just smiled and said sorry. As I type this my stomach is protesting my decision to eat there. I will definitely not go back. read more

It's been awhile since I ate here but decided to have lunch here. Service was ok . The server was very polite but got my order wrong . We ordered Minasa special with 3 kinds of sushi and a spicy tuna roll. The sushi wasn't that fresh. The spicy tuna meat was so red so I don't know if it was colored. The rice dismantled when you picked up chopstick. I got their 1 item special- yakisoba noodle- very salty , with rice , miso soup and cucumber salad. . I ordered cabbage salad at first but. Got the cucumber instead. They sent me the cabbage though. Both cucumber and cabbage salads were very bland. Needed spices and salt. We ordered salmon collar also very dry. I placed an order to go today and for the price ($23.00) there were only 5-6 small strips of chicken and a few small shrimps. The chicken was not cooked all the way (despite me asking for it to be cooked well done). The restaurant is so different now. Not an AYCE sushi spot. Just had to start off with that comment. We ordered 4 rolls and 4 nigiri amongst the 3 of us and for about 20 more dollars could've had AYCE at another sushi place. It's a pretty small establishment right next to Juice it Up and Nothing Bundt Cakes. Inside is cozy. They got music playing in the overhead speakers with a lot of profanity and F words which I would say would be inappropriate for children here. We ordered their fatty yellow fin tuna nigiri as well as several of their sushi rolls including Vegas, Tiger, Spider and another one. Flavors were ok. Fish was ok. I think the quality at One Spot is much better than here (and its AYCE). I did like their fatty yellow fin tuna nigiri. As it was a large peice. Definitely you can taste and feel the quality. If all their fish was like this then it would definitely have been worth it. The plates were pretty. But dunking the sushi into the small soy sauce holder was difficult. Some of the peices of sushi were extremely hard to grab and would just fall apart. You couldn't grab it from the middle or else it would just tear right thru. Service is ok. They had 2 people working the lunch rush. One was really good. The older one was kinda short and rough in her attitude. Coming in from La Quinta and decided to try a new restaurant and Japanese this time. I have to say that the food was great and tasty however what most impressed me was the waiter named "SAI" he was the best, sweet and polite. Can't find that often especially young. This is my third visit to this location. They offer a wide variety of delicious rolls. Today, I tried the cucumber roll, rainbow roll, and baked scallop roll. All of them were really tasty. The cucumber roll was a bit large and messy, but it was very fresh. The scallops were quite tasty as well. They were easy to eat and had a slightly sweet flavor. My favorite was the rainbow roll. The rolls feature different flavors and are very refreshing! The service was ok. I've experienced better, but it seemed like they were short-staffed. It took a little over forty five minutes for our food to arrive on a slow day. There were probably only 10 people in the restaurant. read more

Love this sushi place. The rolls are huge with good tastes. The inside is a good size. Make sure you come between tush times because a lot of people comes to this place. Thats s good thing. They have so many choices on the menu. I suggest the rainbow roll, tiger roll and the volcano roll. Super good. I highly recommend this place. The food was fire. Odaiba has been one our my go tos for sushi for the past 5 years. The food never disappoints. Their prices are great and the service is one of the reasons I keep coming back. I was there recently and things have gotten worse. There seems to be a language barrier. I noticed that the young girls who would take our orders on the phone or seat us down are all gone. This place has the worst customer service. I called to place an order for pick up and was told it would be ready in 15 mins. I arrived later than said time yet my order was not even ready nor started. I waited at the restaurant for another 20 minutes after I had asked when it was going to be done. I told them they shouldn't have told me 15 min because the order took 40 mins all together to be packed up and ready. They guys says we don't priotize to go orders when we have dine in. Dine in customers are the priority and it apparently got busy right after I called. Even so they told me 15 min, so the order should have been ready in 15. I'm not gonna know if the restaurant got busy or not. Mind you there were 2 servers and like 4-5 tables when I went in. Also, I came home and my order was raw even though I had asked for it to be crispy/extra well done. I had to bake it in the oven when I got home. read more

The place has definitely changed since the last time I was here. This was the first place I had sushi EVER. I specifically remember this small paper menu that said there was happy hour all day for options highlighted in grey. Now this pricing was pre pandemic so I expected the prices to have changed. But going from having a bunch of options at a decent price to nothing is unfortunate. Staff I encountered were nice and the attentiveness was good. The place needs a bit of a touch up for sure. The rolls we got were good but I paid about $60 for 2 rolls and a kids meal. Inflation is a pain in the ass. Bring bag the half off menu and I'll be back. read more

My dear friend invited me to lunch for my b-day celebration a couple months ago. We originally wanted to check out Broken Yolk Cafe (BYC) in Rancho Cucamonga, but having 100 parties ahead of us on the waitlist was a no-go for us. We stayed on the waitlist in case we wanted to head back there to get dessert LOL. So we had to go with a spontaneous plan B which was O-Dai-Ba Japanese Grill... conveniently located in a shopping center right across the street from BYC... sweet! I love Japanese food so this place was a fantastic plan B. We both drove over here. Upon entry, it was a little dim inside. My eyes had to get adjusted to the slight darkness... eventually they adjusted. It was still early so not too many people which was great for us. Menu options were plenty. I normally get the rainbow roll + another roll + a salmon dish or ramen. But on that day, I decided to go with something different... one of their deluxe platter... Yakisoba with Teriyaki Chicken Deluxe... besides the noodles + chicken, it comes with 2 mini salads... I got cabbage and cucumber out of the 4 salad choices. It was so delicious and tasty! Chicken was very flavorful and moist... the moistest teriyaki chicken that I've ever eaten... I'm salivating right now LOL. Noodles had the perfect texture. Salads were fantastic. Love my deluxe platter... will definitely order it again! My friend also got a deluxe platter, but her meats (steak and chicken) and salads (baby green and pasta) were different and rice instead of noodles. She liked her platter, too. Our meal all around was yummy and delicious AND the portions were huge! Just amazing!! I had some foods to take home. Two meals out of one... you can't beat that. Staff was pleasant and attentive... server came back several times to check on us. Thank you! Prices were very reasonable. Ambience was comfortable and relaxing. I will definitely be back here for more delicious and yummy goodness. I'll bring my daughters next time. Second time coming here, I don't really remember my experience the first time besides that it kinda smelled but this time it was good. Came here around 12pm on a Sunday and we were the only ones here. Our server was really nice We ordered the Candy roll, fire mountain and golden tiger. The Candy roll is probably my favorite and my least favorite was the fire mountain.. the flavors just don't go together. The golden tiger was good but it was just too creamy for me. The food was good but I wish more rolls has less imitation crab options in the middle and maybe had a salmon option instead. read more

Sashimi Sampler and Dynamite Roll! Been going here for years and I'm sad about the price increases throughout the years but it is still cheaper than other places and the food is still very good quality! I recommend getting salmon over tuna from here because I find the salmon is a lot softer. The staff is pretty attentive but you do have to flag them down often (our sever kept forgetting things we asked for) Overall, the sushi were fresh and delicious. Been coming here with my family since it was a San Sai 20 years ago. Not the fanciest sushi or fanciest place, but good quality food for a reasonable price. That's still the same. What has changed is the management and the atmosphere. For years the reason we came was the staff. Some became like friends. One would even text my wife. There were 4 young female waitresses, 3 Asians and one white girl. All were fun and sweet and talkative and made our visits fun. About a year ago I noticed the new management took over. One by one all the waitresses disappeared. The last was the white girl who told us they basically cut their hours until they had no choice but to find new jobs. Now it's just the old lady owner who waitresses. She's ok but very serious and unsmiling and doesn't say a word. She brings a plate, you say thank you, and she stays silent. Not even a "you're welcome" or a smile. It's uncomfortable. I feel bad because her son (I think it's her son) works sometimes and he's really cool. The same Mexican chef that's been here for years is really good too. But it's been dead the last couple visits without all the old staff. I don't think they realized what a difference the staff makes. This is how you run a business into the ground. Get rid of the good staff that makes a place a fun neighborhood place. read more
