We came here for a pre-selected menu with a large party. The staff was quite attentive and always ready to clear out empty dishes and make room on our table, but sometimes a little too soon before we could even clear the plate! Everything was really satisfying and delicious, but my favorites would have to be the eggplant and walnut shrimp. There was also a duck dish which I enjoyed all of the sauces on, and I'm not normally a fan of duck!

The restaurant is very nice and clean inside. It's a very nice restaurant to enjoy with family and/or close friends. It has a warm feeling to it. Our waitress was very friendly. I should've taken more pics of the menu but the menu was the nicest menu I'd ever seen in a restaurant. I had the Chow Fun and it was very good! I asked for low salt on all items. The food way hot and made with fresh ingredients. It was amazing, to me. The meat, chicken and shrimp were cooked just right. My wife tasted the Chow Fun and she also said it was very good. My wife had the eggplant cooked with medium spice. She enjoyed it saying it was the best one she has had. The low salt made a big difference. It was also fresh and hot and it smelled really good! I'm not a fan of eggplant. We shared the egg fried rice. We assumed the rice would have mixed vegetables but it was exactly as it said in the menus. Egg and rice . With only those 2 ingredients it was also very good. The food was delicious and I loved the interior of the restaurant. A classier Chinese restaurant. We will be back.

My family has been spreading the word about China Republic for some time now. We have a favorite aunt in Rancho, so my wife will often go to China Republic with her and sometimes our kids. I haven't had a chance to go until recently, so here I am with a review! Food: I was a bit worried about China Republic. Don't get me wrong. The reviews are great, and even my family seemed to think it was great. My reservations were strictly a "me" problem; nevertheless, no matter whose fault it is, I want to be able to eat, and I am on a really strict pescatarian Mediterranean diet. Fortunately for me and my picky ways, China Republic had my back! China Republic has a large menu, and even though most people seem to come for the dim sum and traditional Chinese fare, there is no shortage of delicious healthy options for people such as myself. The steamed fish was big and tender, and because the rest of our party of ten was eating the usual goodies, I had the whole dish to myself. It was most satisfying. Besides the fish, I had black mushrooms in a vinegar sauce and a variety of other vegetable offerings. Everything was delicious. Ambiance: The ambiance is very nice. It's a little on the formal side, with nice tea service, chopsticks, clean tablecloths, and bone China, but it isn't overly so. I saw people adorned in a wide range of outfits, from hoodies and jeans to polos and Oxfords, and nice blouses and skirts or even dresses. Nobody seemed or was made to feel out of place. Service: The service was excellent. Food came out promptly, and the wait staff kept our water glasses and other drinks filled. They were also quick about removing empty plates from our table's carousel. We felt well taken care of and appreciated. Overall: Overall, I had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend. This place checks all the boxes for a nice Chinese restaurant for a family gathering, and while it's not super budget friendly, it's not outrageously expensive either. I feel it was a good value for the price. and I can say confidently that I will be back.

Dim Sum improved since the last time I visited. Although it's not as good as SGV, it's probably one of the better ones around the inland empire. Featured in photos: 1. Egg Tart 2. Pork Ribs in Black Bean Sauce 3. Siu Mai 4. Beef Chow Fun 5. BBQ Pork Buns 6. Scallion Pancakes 7. Garlic Lobster

My family and I were craving some dim sum and China Republic seems to be the only restaurant in the IE area that offers it! One thing I will note is that they are quite expensive compared to other dim sum restaurants we've tried. I believe their dishes range from $5+ per plate which is pretty pricey but if you don't want to drive out to Rowland heights, OC or LA - this is your only option. Their food is good though! We tried all the standard dim sum dishes: Steam char sui bal, custard tarts, Custard buns, sesame buns etc. everything tasted great! Unfortunately they were out of the baked char sui buns, which are my favorite. But all the food we did try was delicious! Just expensive.

I still love this place even if it's greasy on the fried dishes. The dim sum always tastes freshly steamed. The veggies blanched and garlicky. Service fast with water, dishes come out hot, as prepared. Ambiance is familiar style eating. This time and last time, I got the Peking duck - it's cold but it's good. Steamed buns instead of the pancakes, to roll the duck skin, meat, scallions. Rice not that succulent or fragrant- but that's okay- I can make my own rice when I reheat the leftovers. I've eaten here with just two people and also with 10 people. Good for families. Loud and a dish for everyone. Plenty of parking and clean bathrooms.

This is a very beautiful restaurant inside and the service was outstanding. They changed our plates a couple times as we ate different entrées. The dim sum was good. Got siu mai and xiao long bao. The prices are about 15 to 20% higher than any other restaurant with the same menu, but they make up for it with great customer service and vibrant atmosphere

Service, food quality and ambiance -- China Republic checks all of my boxes and is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the Inland Empire. Living in the South Bay, I always make sure to swing by when in the area. My favorites are the French-Style Beef Steak, Chicken with Spicy Garlic Sauce, Green Beans, Chow Mein and Lobster. Their family-style plates make it so easy to fall in love with new favorites, knowing each dish will be of caliber! I also enjoy their large spirits and wine selection as well -- a welcomed addition. Highly recommend!

This is one of my go-to places for comfort food. Good Dim Sun selection. They have all the classics. Har Gow is overstuffed with shrimp, Sui Mei is large and flavorful, Beef Balls have a pleasant hint of lemon grass, Rice Noodles come with choice of several meats. Portions overall are pretty large and high quality, which justifies the elevated price. The Peking Duck is one of my favorites, super flavorful and large enough for four people. Service is prompt and mangers help out when needed. The decoration is more reminiscent of Japan with a blue/dark wood combination than classic Chinese colors.

Finally tried this place as i've been looking for a dim sum spot in rancho! Loved the interior and how it's ancient chinese style, very fancy and clean The dim sum dishes were yummy, i wished they had more options tho! we tried the chive and shrimp pancake which is not on the menu and i loved the flavor. The french style beef steak was also tender, the portion size was just okay tho, it's just a layer on top and it's all onions on the bottom. The service can definitely be improved. They didn't really check in on us, we needed a refill on the tea and had to wait a while and call the servers ourselves.

Me and my boyfriend celebrated our first year anniversary here! We had made reservations but arrived at non-peak dinner time so we were seated right away. The service was smooth and everybody was very attentive to us! We order 4 items, everything was big enough to share between 2-3 people. We had the string beans, soy sauce chow mein, Mongolian beef & pork dumpling. Everything tasted amazing. Parking was accessible and there was plenty. Inside the restaurant was clean, fancy, and nicely spaced out tables I'd definitely come here again and try the king pao chicken and beef chow mein next time!

I can't say enough great things about this restaurant. From the moment we walked in until we left, we were treated like royalty. The place is immaculately clean and they have a massive staff to keep all patrons happy and attended to. This would be a great place for a group ... you can order a plate of something and share. Hint: they also offer a Dim Sum menu that i would love to try some time. If you want excellent service, fantastic authentic Chinese cuisine, and a chill ambience, you have to try this place.

This place can be considered one of the fancy Chinese Restaurant in Local area here, it's beautiful vibes and they have bar also serve alcohol, I came here many times whenever with a friend or family gathering. Tbh, I am not sure about Dim Sum I only ordered some based on my kids and family reference but we ordered more on Family platter size. It's always a waiting line but wasn't bad, we got seats quickly. We loved the environment there, isn't loud as when you went for Dim Sum In SGV or Santa Ana. We definitely coming back. If you are around the area and prefer a calm place for Dim Sum, here is the place you a must visit.

Chicken dumplings had a good filling to wrapper ratio, but the filling needed way more seasoning. It just tasted like wet, mushy stuff inside, and drowning the dumpling in chili oil barely helped. And the two fried dishes weren't flavorful either--they weren't dredged very well, so they just tasted like oil. This was especially disappointing for the scallion pancake, since it looked nice...but didn't taste of scallions at all. Overall, really disappointing. This place can probably fit 40 people, it's so small. We tried a few items such as their beef roll, wonton with chili sauce, their seven grams xlb, , fried mini buns, noodle with scallion oil sauce, and potato string shrimp. Their seven grams xlb was disappointing, the broth and meat inside didn't have any flavor to it IMO. The mini buns were sweet and heavy, and we split one and didn't touch the rest. The noodle with scallion sauce was just okay...again, not much flavor. I didn't like the potato shrimp at all, too doughy and hard. The beef rolls were just okay to me, again kinda bland without dumping it in shoyu and vinegar). The best dish was their spicy wontons. It had a nice kick to it and we saved the sauce to dump everything else we ate in it lol.

They gave us a menu immediately and were available to answer our questions. We spent a little over $73 and ordered Mongolian Beef, 2 orders of Pork Wontons in Chili Oil, Salt & Pepper Crispy Chicken, Pork & Cabbage Pan Fried Dumplings, and an order of Xiao Long Bao. The Mongolian beef didn't taste like Mongolian Beef but it was full of flavor. It had a sweet but savory taste and the meat was super tender. Unfortunately it did not come with rice and I didn't know. It's ok, because I don't each much of it. The pan fried dumplings had a nice crispy exterior but soft inside. The meat veggie mixture was full of flavor. The Xiao Kong Bao had a nice subtle broth inside and it was quite refreshing. I honestly didn't care for the pork wontons in chili oil. They did not lack flavor but there was a spice on it similar to tajin that clashed a bit in flavor with the chili oil. Also, I couldn't really taste the meat and just tasted chewy dumpling dough. The salt and pepper crispy chicken was full of flavor. The only downfall was the ride home made it not so crispy but that's not a flaw in the food. Heavy on the seafood in the best way--lobster, crab legs, sushi, shrimp on shrimp on shrimp ‍ There was so much to choose from that I honestly couldn't try everything, but what I did have was sooo good. I really enjoyed the sushi, coconut shrimp, fried shrimp, chow mein, fresh fruit, and dessert Everything tasted fresh (nothing sitting around or old), and the variety was impressive. They even had Mongolian food made fresh to order, which was a nice surprise Plus... a chocolate fountain because why not? Highly recommend if you're a seafood lover and can EAT eat Come hungry!

Surprisingly, for a Friday night, the place was dead. Back then, I remember waiting 40 minutes to an hour just to get in. This time? We got seated immediately, and honestly... that already lowered my expectations. The selection was still pretty big with a lot of variety, so I started off with the seafood. It was decent. Nothing amazing, but good enough to satisfy the craving without worrying about food poisoning. The crab legs were ridiculously salty though. The biggest disappointment was the hot food section. I honestly don't understand how fried rice and chow mein can taste that bland. Zero flavor. The orange chicken and beef broccoli were okay, but definitely nothing memorable. They also had steak, though I can't remember which cut it was, but it was dry and overcooked. They also had a seafood boil section, but the shrimp were overcooked and the crawfish definitely didn't taste the freshest. It had that slightly off taste where you start questioning if you should keep eating it. Ironically, the best thing I had all night was the Mongolian BBQ. That was actually really good and probably the only thing I genuinely enjoyed. But that's also the disappointing part. If my favorite thing at a buffet is the Mongolian BBQ station, I could've just gone to a regular Mongolian BBQ spot, paid less, and probably enjoyed the meal more. The service also felt pretty off throughout the night. Most of the servers, the workers behind the buffet line, and even the bussers didn't seem friendly at all. Everything just felt slow and low energy, like nobody really wanted to be there. Not the worst buffet experience, but definitely nowhere near as good as I remembered it years ago.

The waiter was very friendly and kept refilling our water without asking. My family ordered the following items: walnut shrimps that came with French fries (10/10, both my son and husband's favorite dish of the night) large slightly battered shrimps with a sweet mayo glazed over it, the candied walnuts were ok, beef chow fun (10/10, my favorite dish) large portions with large pieces of marinated beef with lots of bean sprouts, sweet and green onions (chef's kiss), orange chicken (8/10) it came out piping hot out of the kitchen, the chicken has a semi-thicker batter and was well coated in the orange sauce, the steamed broccoli was an excellent palate cleanser, Mongolian beef (10/10, love all the extra sweet onions in the dish), if you love onions like I do, this dish won't disappoint, the beef is marinated really well wok fried with all that sweet onions is absolutely delicious, and the last item was the chef's special green beans (10/10) this dish is definitely a knockout, it's fried crispy with tons of garlic and very very well seasoned. Overall, our experiences here have been absolutely fantastic and my family can't wait to go back and try their many other dishes that they offer..

The salted fried rice with chicken had a great balance of saltiness and flavor, though I would have preferred more diced chicken. The Kung Pao chicken was perfectly cooked, but it had too much sauce and not enough peanuts. I'm used to a drier, more caramelized sauce rather than a runny one.
