We came here for a pre-selected menu with a large party. The staff was quite attentive and always ready to clear out empty dishes and make room on our table, but sometimes a little too soon before we could even clear the plate! Everything was really satisfying and delicious, but my favorites would have to be the eggplant and walnut shrimp. There was also a duck dish which I enjoyed all of the sauces on, and I'm not normally a fan of duck!

Had my doubts about this spot but my parents said if was hella good so gave it a shot. The dishes are all dishes I've seen before. They don't have any "new" or dishes out of the ordinary. BUT where they lack in creativity or modernity they make up in EXECUTION/QUALITY. All the dishes were so good. They also have dim sum on the dinner menu! The crab was fried to perfection. You could easily bite in to get the meat. We had two crabs dishes... The house signature black pepper and the fried crab. The French beef dish was so tender I was surprised they could do it that well. The macau pork belly had the perfect amount of crisp and not too much fat. The Beijing duck comes with the duck like shredded so I'd be aware of that. I still found it to be really good tho and to have a ton of meat. The scallop and shrimp dumplings from the dim sum menu were solid. Nothing special but they were good. Overall, if you're in the area looking for good sir down banquet style Chinese restaurant I'd def recommend.

The restaurant is very nice and clean inside. It's a very nice restaurant to enjoy with family and/or close friends. It has a warm feeling to it. Our waitress was very friendly. I should've taken more pics of the menu but the menu was the nicest menu I'd ever seen in a restaurant. I had the Chow Fun and it was very good! I asked for low salt on all items. The food way hot and made with fresh ingredients. It was amazing, to me. The meat, chicken and shrimp were cooked just right. My wife tasted the Chow Fun and she also said it was very good. My wife had the eggplant cooked with medium spice. She enjoyed it saying it was the best one she has had. The low salt made a big difference. It was also fresh and hot and it smelled really good! I'm not a fan of eggplant. We shared the egg fried rice. We assumed the rice would have mixed vegetables but it was exactly as it said in the menus. Egg and rice . With only those 2 ingredients it was also very good. The food was delicious and I loved the interior of the restaurant. A classier Chinese restaurant. We will be back.

My family has been spreading the word about China Republic for some time now. We have a favorite aunt in Rancho, so my wife will often go to China Republic with her and sometimes our kids. I haven't had a chance to go until recently, so here I am with a review! Food: I was a bit worried about China Republic. Don't get me wrong. The reviews are great, and even my family seemed to think it was great. My reservations were strictly a "me" problem; nevertheless, no matter whose fault it is, I want to be able to eat, and I am on a really strict pescatarian Mediterranean diet. Fortunately for me and my picky ways, China Republic had my back! China Republic has a large menu, and even though most people seem to come for the dim sum and traditional Chinese fare, there is no shortage of delicious healthy options for people such as myself. The steamed fish was big and tender, and because the rest of our party of ten was eating the usual goodies, I had the whole dish to myself. It was most satisfying. Besides the fish, I had black mushrooms in a vinegar sauce and a variety of other vegetable offerings. Everything was delicious. Ambiance: The ambiance is very nice. It's a little on the formal side, with nice tea service, chopsticks, clean tablecloths, and bone China, but it isn't overly so. I saw people adorned in a wide range of outfits, from hoodies and jeans to polos and Oxfords, and nice blouses and skirts or even dresses. Nobody seemed or was made to feel out of place. Service: The service was excellent. Food came out promptly, and the wait staff kept our water glasses and other drinks filled. They were also quick about removing empty plates from our table's carousel. We felt well taken care of and appreciated. Overall: Overall, I had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend. This place checks all the boxes for a nice Chinese restaurant for a family gathering, and while it's not super budget friendly, it's not outrageously expensive either. I feel it was a good value for the price. and I can say confidently that I will be back.

Dim Sum improved since the last time I visited. Although it's not as good as SGV, it's probably one of the better ones around the inland empire. Featured in photos: 1. Egg Tart 2. Pork Ribs in Black Bean Sauce 3. Siu Mai 4. Beef Chow Fun 5. BBQ Pork Buns 6. Scallion Pancakes 7. Garlic Lobster

My family and I were craving some dim sum and China Republic seems to be the only restaurant in the IE area that offers it! One thing I will note is that they are quite expensive compared to other dim sum restaurants we've tried. I believe their dishes range from $5+ per plate which is pretty pricey but if you don't want to drive out to Rowland heights, OC or LA - this is your only option. Their food is good though! We tried all the standard dim sum dishes: Steam char sui bal, custard tarts, Custard buns, sesame buns etc. everything tasted great! Unfortunately they were out of the baked char sui buns, which are my favorite. But all the food we did try was delicious! Just expensive.

This is a very beautiful restaurant inside and the service was outstanding. They changed our plates a couple times as we ate different entrées. The dim sum was good. Got siu mai and xiao long bao. The prices are about 15 to 20% higher than any other restaurant with the same menu, but they make up for it with great customer service and vibrant atmosphere

Service, food quality and ambiance -- China Republic checks all of my boxes and is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the Inland Empire. Living in the South Bay, I always make sure to swing by when in the area. My favorites are the French-Style Beef Steak, Chicken with Spicy Garlic Sauce, Green Beans, Chow Mein and Lobster. Their family-style plates make it so easy to fall in love with new favorites, knowing each dish will be of caliber! I also enjoy their large spirits and wine selection as well -- a welcomed addition. Highly recommend!

Invited by a friend, I checked out this amazing Chinese restaurant--totally stunning! The vibe is classy and spacious, perfect for family gatherings, friend get-togethers, or even business dinners Must-Try Dishes Dry-Fried String Beans: Crispy, flavorful, with just the right amount of spice Spicy Boiled Fish Fillet: Fragrant and spicy, the fish is so tender it melts in your mouth Eggplant in Garlic Sauce Casserole: Soft, savory, and absolutely perfect with rice Lobster Yee Mein with Ginger & Scallion: Huge portion! Lobster is fresh & juicy, paired with chewy noodles--delicious combo! Salted Egg Yolk Lobster: Crispy outside, tender inside, rich salted egg flavor--a must for lobster lovers! Ambience The main hall is bright and spacious, blending traditional elements with modern design--super elegant. Private rooms with a projector screen are available, ideal for parties or banquets Service Dishes come out quickly Attentive staff--always refilling tea and changing plates Price per person: Seafood is on the pricier side, but overall the value is great, especially for sharing with a group. Summary: This restaurant is truly perfect for gatherings--delicious food, stylish environment, and thoughtful service. Highly recommended

I still love this place even if it's greasy on the fried dishes. The dim sum always tastes freshly steamed. The veggies blanched and garlicky. Service fast with water, dishes come out hot, as prepared. Ambiance is familiar style eating. This time and last time, I got the Peking duck - it's cold but it's good. Steamed buns instead of the pancakes, to roll the duck skin, meat, scallions. Rice not that succulent or fragrant- but that's okay- I can make my own rice when I reheat the leftovers. I've eaten here with just two people and also with 10 people. Good for families. Loud and a dish for everyone. Plenty of parking and clean bathrooms.

Finally tried this place as i've been looking for a dim sum spot in rancho! Loved the interior and how it's ancient chinese style, very fancy and clean The dim sum dishes were yummy, i wished they had more options tho! we tried the chive and shrimp pancake which is not on the menu and i loved the flavor. The french style beef steak was also tender, the portion size was just okay tho, it's just a layer on top and it's all onions on the bottom. The service can definitely be improved. They didn't really check in on us, we needed a refill on the tea and had to wait a while and call the servers ourselves.

Me and my boyfriend celebrated our first year anniversary here! We had made reservations but arrived at non-peak dinner time so we were seated right away. The service was smooth and everybody was very attentive to us! We order 4 items, everything was big enough to share between 2-3 people. We had the string beans, soy sauce chow mein, Mongolian beef & pork dumpling. Everything tasted amazing. Parking was accessible and there was plenty. Inside the restaurant was clean, fancy, and nicely spaced out tables I'd definitely come here again and try the king pao chicken and beef chow mein next time!

This is one of my go-to places for comfort food. Good Dim Sun selection. They have all the classics. Har Gow is overstuffed with shrimp, Sui Mei is large and flavorful, Beef Balls have a pleasant hint of lemon grass, Rice Noodles come with choice of several meats. Portions overall are pretty large and high quality, which justifies the elevated price. The Peking Duck is one of my favorites, super flavorful and large enough for four people. Service is prompt and mangers help out when needed. The decoration is more reminiscent of Japan with a blue/dark wood combination than classic Chinese colors.

Soup dumplings--oh my God!!! 10/10. They nailed it. I'd say the soup dumplings here were better than Din Tai Fung. Chocolate dumplings... my poor mouth has been swooned and wrecked. It will never be the same again. I am forever changed, all because of these delicious chocolate dumplings. I'll say this: the combo of the dumpling and the dipping foam at Din Tai Fung is something special. If they had that dipping foam here, it would be unmatched. Honestly, I think the food here holds its own and the prices are a little more approachable. The restaurant has plenty of seating, the staff was friendly, and the overall atmosphere was comfortable. I also like that you can see the dumplings being made through the open kitchen. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the plastic water pitcher they brought to the table had some visible mineral residue from what looked like hard water buildup. It wasn't something I wanted to see on a pitcher being used for drinking water, and it's an easy detail to fix. Aside from that, the food was really good and I'd definitely come back. A solid dumpling spot in Rancho Cucamonga!

AMBIANCE 5.5/10…read more After spending way too long trying to decide what to eat, we finally settled on seafood boil and landed on The Big Catch because of their all-you-can-eat option. Walking in, our first impression wasn't great the building looked a little run down. Once inside, though, the vibe improved. It had a rustic sports bar feel with TVs everywhere, an open bar, and a seafood station. Nothing fancy, but not terrible. EXPERIENCE 7/10 The service was one of the better parts of the visit. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and took the time to answer our questions and recommend a few items. The food took a little while to come out. BTW there's a 90 minute limit after we were seated and the second round of our seafood took 30 minutes to come out (they apparently forgot our order) and they proceeded to tell us we had last call right after our second round of food barely got to the table. Not sure if that's done on purpose but we really didn't really appreciate that. Overall though, the staff definitely made the experience better. THE FOOD 5/10 Here's where things started to fall apart. The first all-you-can-eat platter came with two snow crab clusters, 1/2lb crawfish, 1/2lb mussels, 1/2lb peeled shrimp, plus unlimited sides. One thing that caught us off guard and maybe we just missed it on the menu is that after your first round, you can no longer order the snow crab or peeled shrimp. That was disappointing since those ended up being the best seafood options on the table. The snow crab was solid, and the peeled shrimp were surprisingly good the texture was crunchy and we didn't get any fishy smell or flavors. Everything after that... not so much. Round two included whole shrimp, clams, and scallops. The portions were noticeably smaller, and almost everything tasted like it had been frozen for too long. The crawfish lacked freshness, the whole shrimp had the same issue and were mushy without the initial crunch additionally the shrimp was hard to peel which makes us think that it was POSSIBLY reheated, and the scallops were tiny with a strong fishy flavor that made them hard to enjoy. Even the House/Cajun seasoning didn't do much to save it. It was too oily and honestly just tasted like salt, there was no spiciness either and we got the hot flavor. Ironically, the sides ended up carrying the meal. The cucumber salad was fresh and crunchy, which balanced out some of the heavier seafood, and the sweet potato fries were honestly one of our favorite things we ordered. And one last thing... somehow even the water tasted off. What We'd Order Again Snow Crab Clusters Peeled Shrimp Fish Taco Sweet Potato Fries Cucumber Salad Sausage Corn Skip These Whole Shrimp Clams Mussels Scallops Crawfish House/Cajun Seasoning Cajun Fries Cajun Wings Boiled Egg Water Final Rating If you're going for the all-you-can-eat seafood, don't expect premium quality. The first round is decent, but once the crab and peeled shrimp are off the table, the meal drops off pretty quickly. Would we come back? Definitely not. We ended up paying 90$ for 2 people which you can argue is good since it's an AYCE seafood meal but afterwards after speaking to the waiter we found out the shrimp and crawfish was indeed frozen that along with all the other disappointing food doesn't make us feel like it was worth the money. Overall Gassington Rating: (5/10)
