This buffet clearly has no sense of sanitation nor do they follow health department regulations, and what I witnessed today completely ruined my appetite. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN! I recorded a worker who was wearing dirty gloves, using a dirty rag to handle food that was spilled by other customers proceeding to put that same spilled food back into the cooked food at the buffet. Mind you, I sat there and watched her for 30 minutes continuously cleaning & throwing the spilled food back into the cooked food & mixing it back into itself. I can only imagine what else is taking place here! No wonder people get food poisoning from buffets! Watching cooked food being handled in an unsanitary manner and then returned to the food being served to customers was extremely concerning and unacceptable. The overall cleanliness and handling of the food is mind boggling, and after seeing how the food was handled, I had serious concerns about the hygiene and food-safety practices not only for myself but for my children.. A buffet should have strict standards for cleanliness and food handling, and what I witnessed did not meet those standards let alone any standards for an establishment overall. Came here after a few hours of shopping across the street at Ontario outlets. I came on a Friday during lunch and it was 15% off on Tuesday and Friday. I'm not sure if that is during lunch hours only so call before you come. However, I am not sure if you'd actually want to come here. I spent barely an hour here and ate 3 dishes and grabbed an ice cream togo. That is less than what I usually eat. The meal with the discount, a drink, and tip was $25 which is fine. It really had the standard options of an Asian buffet but no crab legs during lunch from what I saw. I started with salad, cocktail shrimp, and sushi. Then I had two hot plates and 2 soups including miso and hot and sour soup. Nobody was working at the hot grill and the desserts did not look good whatsoever. I think the thing that bugged me the most is they didn't clear any of my plates until the end of the meal and I was sitting at a pretty small table. While I was eating, I saw a server grab a fork from another table with piles of dishes from previous customers who were no longer there and she put it in the pile of clean forks for other customers to use. I dont care if she thought it was a clean fork because it still came from a table of dirty, used dishes. That was unnecessary and gross to do and even worse she watched me watch her do it. Oysters not exactly the freshest, crab legs were easy to break into, Alot of protein, two of my top picks at this Buffett would be the lobster soup ( like similar to look and feel as shrimp with lobster sauce), and the sliced prime roast. There is something here for everyone. We came here for lunch which was a great AYCE deal for $19.99 per person. There was also an additional 15% discount currently on Tuesdays and Fridays. Huge variety of food at the buffet including seafood. I liked that there were items here that are not usually found at a typical Asian buffet like braised chicken feet and pork hocks. There were even salmon collars available. There was a soup available that had real lobster claw meat. I especially enjoyed the lotus leaf wrapped rice dumplings and baked crab on little scallop shells. Surprisingly, their tempura style French fries were really excellent, fresh, hot and crispy! (This was the first time I have tried fries off of a buffet line.) Good tasty food no matter what is chosen. I will definitely need to return to try their highly recommended Mongolian grill. I remember coming to Luxe Buffet years ago and actually having a pretty good experience, so I decided to revisit and finally bring my wife with me. Surprisingly, for a Friday night, the place was dead. Back then, I remember waiting 40 minutes to an hour just to get in. This time? We got seated immediately, and honestly... that already lowered my expectations. The selection was still pretty big with a lot of variety, so I started off with the seafood. It was decent. Nothing amazing, but good enough to satisfy the craving without worrying about food poisoning. The crab legs were ridiculously salty though. The biggest disappointment was the hot food section. I honestly don't understand how fried rice and chow mein can taste that bland. Zero flavor. The orange chicken and beef broccoli were okay, but definitely nothing memorable. They also had steak, though I can't remember which cut it was, but it was dry and overcooked. They also had a seafood boil section, but the shrimp were overcooked and the crawfish definitely didn't taste the freshest. It had that slightly off taste where you start questioning if you should keep eating it. Ironically, the best thing I had all night was the Mongolian BBQ. That was actually really good and probably the only thing I genuinely enjoyed. But that's also the disappointing part. If my favorite thing at a buffet is the Mongolian BBQ station, I could've just gone to a regular Mongolian BBQ spot, paid less, and probably enjoyed the meal more. Sometimes, during a long day of day activity and you forgot to grab breakfast and lunch, and dinner is around the corner, hunger starts kicking in high gear; everything and ANYthing sounds great! After looking around for a Chinese gourmet restaurant, we just happened to be in the Ontario mall area and found that this establishment, "The Luxe Buffet" was opened and they just had their Grand Opening. On top of that, a quick google and IG search revealed the all you can eat Lobster during dinner time. We were hooked and wanted to try this place out!! While it was not too far from the freeways and Ontario Mall, it was tucked into the corner of the Main Street and so it a little tricky following the GPS to get there. Once there, a big parking lot is available for you to park anywhere! Walked in and was greeted immediately by the warm friendly staff and servers. The dinning hall was packed with people and we didn't have to wait at all when we arrived for the walk in. The time was about 4:30pm. Entrance was pretty well taken care of and clean. Reception and interior decor reminded me of crystal palaces and shining bright objects. In the main facility, there are rows of cushion table/seats setup and there are rows of regular open chair and table setups.i didn't get a good count but there has to be roughly 24 booths seating up to 4 comfortably and roughly 40-50 regular square/rectangular tables seating up to 4-6 people. With so many selections to choose from, the choices that you can make for a meal is endless. You have your typical assortment of Stir Fries, open sushi rolls, seafood area, soups from various kinds including the crabmeat soup, a delicacy only served during weddings and special occasions, a Mongolian grill area, dessert based on macaroons and every kids favorite, ice cream cart and machine. When we got our 1st plate boyfriend got the brisket super dry and over cooked. Came here to celebrate a family member's birthday since they love seafood, and I really wanted this to be good. The selection looked varied, but the actual food did not hold up. The lobster came with a strange sweet sauce I had to scrape off, and the hot butter tasted low quality. The teppanyaki was bland and the beef I got was extremely tough. The oysters tasted like the flavor had been rinsed right off them, and the orange chicken was dry and chewy. The steam buns and desserts were the best part, though they tasted store bought. The ice cream was its own problem, since the freezer could not seem to stay cold and my little cup was already melting by the time I got back to the table. What really got to me was the cleanliness. The booth seats had rips in them, and there was dirt and old food around my seat, some of it so old it had turned black. There was a piece of broccoli by my feet that looked fossilized, sitting next to food scraps and dried liquid stains on the window. The bathrooms were the one surprise, actually nice and not matching the state of the dining room at all. The staff were friendly too, credit where it is due. It stayed packed the whole time we were there. I get that all you can eat places have to turn a profit and cut corners with the cheapest cuts, but $45 for what felt like a $20 experience is wild. I wish I had grabbed photos of the food fossilizing by my feet, but I will not be back to get them. Seafood lovers might find something they like, but I have been to buffets that were cheaper and a lot cleaner. Okay, so first of all OVERPRICED, we came about two hours before closing, which I think is a fair time for a buffet. I was very impressed on how they are handingling things with Covid-19 gloves, hand sanitizer, face shields, and they even took our temperature so applause. Not to mention the "Dim Sum" selections they have was a shame, I've had microwaveable Shao mai with better flavor then anything here. And dessert, was the biggest disappointment, a sliding cabinet that looked like the saddest bakery ever. A chocolate fountain that doesn't look like it's been filtered in a while, and basically NOTHING to dip and the fruit was probably the only decent thing. The cool looking rolling freezer wasn't even filled and as soon as the ice cream was handed to me, and I got to my table it was practically soup. I know that this business is probably hanging on by a thread due to Covid-19, but it's a shame after reading so many good reviews, that the experience was an absolute nightmare. THE LUXE SUCKS! My party and I had the most absolutely horrific food and service here. As a place that poses as an "upscale" restaurant, it's the knock-off of the buffet world. The Mongolian BBQ was so dry, the meat was extremely tough and tasted a day old. The coloration of the meat was also questionable. It was gray! The Luxe requires you to pile a plate of meat and other toppings so you can hand it to a rude cook with nasty vibes. I walked up to the grill and he yanked my plate out of my hands. All I said was "hi" and he gave me a despicable look. I was still being kind even after he made me wait 15+ minutes for him to return to his post. Next, he cooks my meat, slaps it on a plate and throws it at me! Don't even get me starting on the waitress... I told her I had a Yelp discount for a free drink and she totally ignored me and said "HOLD ON!" She was asking for our drink orders and purposefully passed me up. My friend defended me and said "hey, he asked for his free drink" and she finally took my drink order. She was very aggressive and dismissive of me. I will strongly discourage my Yelp community members from coming here. Want dessert? Too bad, you have to pay extra for ice cream. They have these cheap ice cream cups (the size of a fruit cup) in a dingy freezer as one of the dessert options. Each cup is an additional $1. This is a scam, dessert SHOULD be included, NOT HERE. There's a decent selection of hot and cold dishes: noodles, fried rice, chicken skewers, dim sum, broccoli beef, etc. Skewers were a little dry, and the stuff that should be crunchy was...not. I was pleasantly surprised that the sushi was decent quality. It's probably not the freshest, but it tasted pretty good and didn't get me sick. There's a Mongolian "bbq" station that's really more of a make-your-own stir fry, but it is freshly made food that I can't complain about. Desserts were really bad, to be frank. Most the cookies were stale, the cake pieces were dry and tasted funny, and the chocolate strawberry station is almost undoubtedly unsanitary.
