If I can give this restaurant a zero star I would give a zero star. We ordered a dish that was supposed to be spicy and it came out not spicy at all. So we asked the waitress about why it was so mild, the waitress happened to be the owner of the restaurant and responded in a very rude manner that this is how the dish is like and asked us what do you want me to do about it? She started arguing with us, and then yelled at us and even cuss at us. She even told us if you don't like you can leave. Their food was mediocre and overpriced for the quality, but that's fine. I'm not a picky person. What I cannot stand is the waitress attitude. I was just telling her the food was a little mild and her facial expression suddenly became very SCARY and she changed her tone very fast and became very impatient with me. I was just trying to communicate with her and telling her about how I was expecting the food should be. She replied there is nothing she can do, take it or leave it. I was like wow... and I asked if I can talk to anybody else in the restaurant and she went "I'm the owner, if you don't like it you can leave." We compared this to other restaurants we've tried in Las Vegas, Chino Hills, Rowland Heights, and San Gabriel Valley, and we concluded that Chili House here in Rancho Cucamonga is the best all-around in terms of food quality, taste, and prices. All the tables have bench-style seating, and it was comfortable to sit at with four people. We had the beef with cumin, mapo tofu, fried noodles with beef, fried bowl of noodles, fried rice, and boiled fat intestines. All delicious with some spice and numbness, but not overly spicy. For drinks, we tried the Arctic Ocean (a sort of orange soda from Beijing-- tastes like orange Fanta) and Want Want Milk (a sweet milk drink with condensed milk flavor from Taiwan). That Boiled fish is my favorite and I have to go San Diego if I want this style of boiled fish. Come 1-hour, 4 minutes before closing and she is pushing you out the door. Demanded immediate payment upon delivery of several dishes and said she is not waiting for us, no manners. Pay now she said! Our party included folks from China and New York and were eager to take them to this restaurant and came away very embarrassed and bothered. I ordered the Tasty Crispy Pork Belly. (Verbally and also pointed to the words on the menu to the non-english speaking waitress.) I was rubbery pork stomach..not the thick cut, bacony goodness i was expecting. The Crispy Noddles looked like chow mein. The food WAS very flavorful. We also said to the waitress "we are ready for the check now", and she disappeared to the kitchen to fill up take out boxes full of rice. Did she not understand us? After 15 minutes, I had to get up, stand at the cashier & wave to get her attention. If you love spicy food and know all about the Hunan dishes they have, go for it! I just had the worst experience at this restaurant. Shortly after being seated, I realized we were the only table that had been provided disposable chopsticks and paper plates while the rest of the tables had reusable chopsticks and ceramic plates. Once we got our first round of food I mentioned this to the server who then took the plates off an empty table to give to us. Waited a long time for an order of chow mein while another table who ordered at the same time as us had gotten all of their food. Ended up paying for the mediocre food we had eaten and leaving. The only pro I can give to this place is that Food is top notch, but the owner and management really don't seem to care to maintain their business or even want to be there. 1. They don't follow their own business hours, so they decide to miss out the best to order lunch hour @ 11:00 am to open at 11:30 instead, fine their choice, 11:30 am stated by themselves, but twice in last week when I called in to order for my employees, called around 11:42 am, no one answered the phone, tried again in 10 mins, same thing, eventually we decide to order from somewhere else 2. They don't give a squad about customer experience, there was one time their POS machine broke down and can't take credit card, somehow the owner think it's a good idea to put me through their whole "tech support process" which took an entire hour without a solution, in the end I'm so disgusted and asked to pay by Zelle, by the time I got home, the food were all dried out Chef's decent cooking skill can't save sloppy & lazy management, this place went from "I can't get enough" to my "will never visit again" list.
