So I came across this place from a menu in my mailbox. I was craving Chinese food and it was between this place and Panda. I always eat Panda so I went with China Point. I thought it was a buffet style place like Panda, so I was kinda hesitant about coming here because of the prices. I was able to order online which was convenient and my food was ready when I picked it up. I walked in, and it was a legit dine in restaurant, so now I understood the prices. I was greeted upon entering and the employee went over my order to make sure it was correct. I ordered the sweet and sour pork that came with egg drop soup, fried rice and some appetizers (shrimp, eggroll and a wonton). The pork was ok, and i didn't really like the sauce, it left an after taste. The soup was good and rice was good. I was already full, by the time I realized it was appetizers in the bag. Everything about China Point was on point: 1) The food was delicious. The egg drop/flower soup was out of this world. The fish filet in garlic sauce( requested instead of the white sauce, the # 30 lunch special $13.95) was perfectly prepared. Fried fish with mostly fish and hardly any batter. The egg roll was also just so simple and yet so nice. I saw Linda( the Matriarch) take Shrimp Chopsuey and Orange Chicken to this table. The aroma!!!!! The presentation!!!!!!! My fried rice was outstanding. 2) The 8 booths and 4 tables were almost full when I walked in. I was seated by Linda immediately. As a party left, another lunch guest came in. Loved the energy. This restaurant is a big hit! 3) Loved Linda's nephew Terry's rapport with the regulars. The warmth and he familiarity ( photo of Terry in the booth) was tremendous. 4) Great prices. $15 plus tip for a nice and filling lunch is extraordinary. 4) I asked Terry about Vegan options and he stated he could make any dish Vegan. He showed me the tofu options as well. 5) Terry and Linda brought everything out to everyone with a lot of love and class. It's a little hole in the wall Chinese spot but it's absolutely amazing. They serve Korean Chinese food here which is hard to find in the IE. Every time I've come here, I eat my bowl clean. That is a sign of a quality meal. The jjajangmyeon is to die for and it's one of those dishes where if you know, you know. It's not highly advertised if at all, but it gives secret menu vibes. A little hole in the wall that my partner and I decided to try. Service was super quick and friendly and we got our food within 15 minutes. Dumplings were very crispy and the sauce served with it complemented the food perfectly! The noodles were slightly different than it's Korean counterpart but it was delicious nonetheless! and their sweet and sour pork was delectable beyond belief! The kung pao wasn't spicy and very few peanuts. Almond chicken tasted the same and very few almonds. The fried rice that came was very good. Light and tasty. The egg roll was nice a crisp had been batter dipped and fried to a delicious crunch. Came with egg flower soup and a sweet and sour sauce with a bit of hot mustard. Perfect contrast. The food was fresh, shrimp and beef and chicken were all cooked to perfection. Nothing over cooked. I ordered take out. Massive portions and it came with a side of white rice (didn't have to request it), a good amount of condiments and a pleathora of almond cookies. Breakdown: Green beans with mushroom: fairly good flavor, not as much bite as I typically like with green beans, but they weren't bad. Pork in schezwan sauce: really disappointed in this one. Not really sweet/spicy. Definitely lacking any sort of hot. Something about this dish was just missing that flavor bomb that you expect. It's was pretty boring. I was able to "jazz" it up the next day by quick frying it with rice, fresh garlic, ginger etc. and spices. Walnut shrimp: this was the best dish by far. Giant shrimp (I kid you not). Well balanced - as in not too sweet and not to creamy. This dish has a nice crispy texture to it. I'd recommend it. All in all, I won't be ordering from here again as most of the food was subpar, especially for the prices. read more

Came here on a Saturday evening after finding the wait at Panda Inn to be close to an hour. It's a small location in a shopping strip. We were seated immediately and waited on promptly. All of the staff was extra friendly and did their best to help calm our wild 2year old when she was getting restless, without making us feel uncomfortable. They do make it a point through various signs to acknowledge that food may take a while to make since it's being made fresh, and the quality of their ingredients and freshness is definitely evident through every single dish we had. We had the mandarin family meal and it was plenty of food for my husband, our daughter and I. Their orange chicken is larger cuts of chicken-- more like chicken tender size. My daughter loved it! There are many notices posted up asking to be patient for the food. The food comes out fresh so there is a wait. I didn't think the wait was that long, but if you are in a hurry it might be too long for you. The employees are very nice. I had Orange chicken and steamed rice which was very delicious. The egg flour soup was a bit bland for my taste and the chicken chow main lacked some flavor. There are plenty of other dishes and they all appeared good as they were served to other customers. We were here for the first time on 3/3/24. We had heard of this restaurant from family members who recommended their food. We arrived about 1pm and entered a full restaurant- there were no tables available. We were eventually seated about 10 minutes later. The restaurant itself is small with seating for maybe 50 people. Decor is dated and there are with plastic partitions between some tables reminiscent of the Covid days. Staff are kind but very busy. There were 3 in all for a Sunday afternoon and they did everything- served as host/greeter, brought drinks, cleaned tables, took orders and served food. Service is slower than watching paint dry on a wall and they have signs everywhere asking patrons to pls be patient. After about 10 minutes we were asked for our drink order. Then maybe another 10 minutes after that, our food order was taken. We waited for what seemed to be an eternity. After about 20 -30 minutes, our food finally arrived. We all ordered their lunch specials: Mongolian beef, Beef and Broccoli, fish and vegetables. Portion sizes were quite large and enough for 2 people or leftovers. Overall the flavors were fair to good, not overly salty, greasy or spiced. Given the delays with service, I recommend not coming too hungry if you decide to try this place out. read more

I thought sure I wrote a review for this place before, but I guess not. I was excited to get food from here again becaause I hadn't gotten takeout here since before COVID and it was good back then. I got the house fried rice, chicken chow mein (soft noodle), and mushroom chicken. I was quite disappointed. The flavor of the food was really bland. It needed more flavor and I'm not just talking about more salt. Also, the sauce for the mushroom chicken was a little too thick and slimy.
