XLB
Dustin W.

Friendly family owned staff. Inside is nicely arranged. I love the cute designs on their chopstick holders or sauces. Solid food that was very reasonably priced. Wonton noodle soup: really enjoyed the broth which was very flavorful. Tasty chicken and shrimp pieces. Lots of celery which I'm not a huge fan of but didn't mind it here Pork XLB: solid, tasty, nice and soupy, amazingly priced Black gold molten lava buns: runny egg custard filling, aesthetically looks cool, I think overpriced relative to other items (and able to get elsewhere for probably cheaper) but still enjoyable Beef potstickers: my least favorite just because I felt they weren't as crispy as I wanted. I'll definitely come back in the future. Service was great. Foods solid and for a great price. I want to try the pan fried pork buns in the future but it takes 25 min so plan ahead if you're interested. Always enjoy supporting locally owned restaurants! Service: 5/5 Food: 4.5/5 Ambiance: 5.5

Spicy Beef Noodle Soup

First time here since they replaced Dumpling Village We ordered the XLB and spicy braised beef noodle soup. The XLB were so soupy and my mom really liked it. The noodle soup was bland, the beef was not tender and we didn't like their noodles. Prices were not too bad and the food was fresh. There was only 1 server but he was very quick and efficient

We came in craving jiajiang mian and left so happy with everything we ordered! The pork xiao long bao were perfectly cooked -- and you can see a woman in the kitchen making them fresh. It instantly reminded me of watching my mom make them when I was little. The sautéed green beans were super fresh with great flavor. The beef roll is one of my favorites -- so good. Fried rice was solid and satisfying. And the jiajiang mian? Loved that they add cucumber -- it gives it that refreshing crunch, just like my mom used to make. We love supporting small businesses, and this one definitely did not disappoint. We'll absolutely be back!

Simple, delicious, affordable! Beef Buns and Dumplings are filling and shareable. Staff were also kind and patient with my order. I'll be coming to visit every chance I get!

we came back the in a week... as soon as the kids asked for dumplings. Today I tried the spicy beef noodle soup and the fried pork bao. And we had the usual must haves. Everything was really good... again. I've been to so many dumpling places around, like dumpling master, but this one beats it with the flavor, service and pricing. I made sure I took pictures this time. Enjoy it!

I really wanted to like this place based on all the really good reviews and the packed dining room as I entered, but my to-go order just didn't fit my expectations. I placed a to-go order online and arrived in 20 minutes as stated when it would be ready. I did like that the prices are reasonable and they are not price gouging you like some other unmentioned restaurants in RC. At the counter, the very nice female cashier took my payment and packaged my order with the sauces, napkins, and utensils. One thing I did notice on walking into the restaurant was that it was very stuffy and hot, so not sure if their a/c was working, but it was very uncomfortable. I didn't want to delay my enjoyment of these 3 dishes that I ordered, so I stopped in a parking lot to taste the food while it was still fresh. Orange Chicken: I read so many reviews on how this was the most amazing orange chicken, but this was the least liked dish that I ordered. First of all, it was nicely packaged in a plastic to-go container, but it didn't have any way for the steam to escape, so what I received after a 5 minute drive from the restaurant was a soggy, lumpy mess of battered chicken. The chicken is made with the white/breast meat so it's very dry and the batter may have been good when first cooked, but by this time it was very soggy. The orange sauce was practically nonexistent at this point due to the batter steaming inside the container and soaking up all the sauce. I ate two bites and was done. I probably could have managed to eat it but the chicken was so dry. I'm sure it's much better when eaten in person. Green Beans: I really liked the green beans. I asked to add garlic since the menu description didn't specify if there was any, but they must have understood it as asking for extra garlic cuz there was a lot, but I was not mad about it. I love garlic. The green beans were slightly crunchy, maybe not as much as I would have liked but they were flavorful and delicious and I could eat them all day long. Vegetable Chow Mein: The chow mein was also really good. I wasn't expecting the Pad Thai/linguini shaped noodles, but there's something about them that just works better, in my opinion, than spaghetti noodles. There were a few vegetables, not as many as I would have liked as this was a vegetarian dish without meat. There were some broccoli, carrots, cabbage, and water chestnuts. The sauce was flavorful and the noodles were covered in sauce, no dry noodles here. I will update my review soon, because I think maybe ordering to-go is not the best way for this type of restaurant. Everything is made fresh and to order and is best consumed on premises. My next visit I will be dining in to experience what others have joyously experienced and update my review then.

This is what I found in the noodles.

I went this past Sunday 6/21/26, and had orange chicken and vegetable chow mein...I brought half of both home since I couldn't finish it there, today when I try eating it I found what feels like a piece of metal in the chow mein smfh, I guess I won't be going back to this place, which sucks because me and my family liked the food! So disappointed that they aren't careful! I was more worried if my lil munchkin had ate it, then me or another adult in my family...

We had Friday dinner here and it was worthy. No wait and seated right away . Their food was good. The price was reasonable. The ambiance was very simple. The attendant was nice.

Absolutely delicious! We ordered 2 different beef noodle soups, beef steamed buns, and pork xiaolongbao. Everything was great! The noodle soups were hearty and filling and delicious. You know when you have really great broth and you just feel healed/like a new person afterwards? This totally fit the bill. The noodles were also a perfect texture. The beef steamed buns were flavorful and delicious, with great texture on the bun. The soup dumplings were also very flavorful and delicious! The man helping us seemed to be the owner or part of the family and he was very kind and helpful (even checking to confirm I knew the mustard green noodle soup would be a bit sour! I did, it was great, I love mustard greens!) I also thought their branding was really cute, and liked the quality of their chopsticks! This was unfortunately the only thing I got a picture of because I was so excited to eat I forgot to photograph first. I absolutely recommend trying!

Me & my wife are absolutely obsessed with this restaurant! Everything on their menu is so good, I can't believe I barely started coming here. This place is right to my gym and I never thought much of it but it's really a hidden gem here in Rancho. This is a family owned business and I wish them all the success. Come check them out!

Dumplings in chili oil...... wow.... Did NOT disappoint they were delicious the perfect amount of spice and I honestly would come here just for that! I also tried the kung pao shrimp and it was really good!!! Service was very good everyone was very polite

It was our first time visiting after the new management took over the location. The food was distinctly improved from the previous ownership. The orange chicken tasted fresh and did not have the artificial orange taste. The soup dumplings are some of the best in the area. They tasted fresh and the soup was not overpowering. Overall the service and the food made this a pleasant experience.

I'll start by saying the service is fantastic I went and the place was packed , they still were able to get our food out in a timely matter . As for the food , the dumplings are delicious so juicy and went great with their tasty chili oil! A lot of places make their chili oil bland and spicy but this place makes it very flavorful with a good amount of spice ! Was also able to try their beef noodles that were good .

Chicken dumplings had a good filling to wrapper ratio, but the filling needed way more seasoning. It just tasted like wet, mushy stuff inside, and drowning the dumpling in chili oil barely helped. And the two fried dishes weren't flavorful either--they weren't dredged very well, so they just tasted like oil. This was especially disappointing for the scallion pancake, since it looked nice...but didn't taste of scallions at all. Overall, really disappointing. I might give it a try at a different location if the opportunity comes up, but with the menu being rather small, I'm not even sure it'd be worth the time.

There's lots of traffic so be weary of the cars that pass by and when we went there were tons of people. We walked in and they took our name and phone number and about a 40 min wait. This place can probably fit 40 people, it's so small. We tried a few items such as their beef roll, wonton with chili sauce, their seven grams xlb, , fried mini buns, noodle with scallion oil sauce, and potato string shrimp. Their seven grams xlb was disappointing, the broth and meat inside didn't have any flavor to it IMO. The mini buns were sweet and heavy, and we split one and didn't touch the rest. The noodle with scallion sauce was just okay...again, not much flavor. I didn't like the potato shrimp at all, too doughy and hard. The beef rolls were just okay to me, again kinda bland without dumping it in shoyu and vinegar). The best dish was their spicy wontons. It had a nice kick to it and we saved the sauce to dump everything else we ate in it lol.

I was craving dumplings but did not want to make the drive all the way to the 626 area for dinner…read more Luckily i was able to find this little shop near to home. For starters the shop is a bit small with an ambiance of a mom and pop restaurant. Not much going on just as simple as it gets for these kind of shops. The service was a hit on the slower side. We sat for a bit before we got any attention from the servers, but as soon as you order the food comes out almost immediately so i would say they made up for it in that way. One of the things that was rare for a dumpling shop was the sauce bar. I have only seen these at hot pot restaurants, but it was pretty neat to be able to have everything available to make your own dumplings sauce. All it was missing was the chopped ginger and it would've been a 10/10 on the sauce bar alone! Idk if they make their own chili oil but i felt it may have needed to have a bit more heat. We ordered several dumpling dishes as well as the fried rice and the cucumber salad. The salad was on point! Ill take a smashed cucumber salad over a sliced one any day! I was a bit disappointed with the XLB because they were lacking the "soup" part of the soup dumpling.(completely dry) aside from that the rest of the dumplings were a generous 8.5/10. The fried rice was about the least of my favorite meals. It was lacking the WOK char on the day old rice necessary for egg fried rice. It felt more like it was an "all ingredients tossed into a rice cooker and mixed up with soy sauce" type of deal. Maybe im wrong but the rice was too fresh and mushy to be proper egg fried rice. All in all this place held up nicely. I personally give the experience a 7.5/10 altogether. Decent restaurant to consider if you are craving dumplings but not craving the traffic and long ride to the 626 area.

The value is definitely the main highlight, pricing is fair for AYCE and you get a decent variety of meats, veggies, and sides. For a casual hot pot night, it's hard to complain on cost alone. That said, there were a few things that made the experience a bit less smooth. Parking was a challenge since the plaza gets very busy, so it took a while to find a spot. Inside, the setup was also a little confusing at first the hot pot being built into the table takes some getting used to, and it made it slightly awkward to get the soup out comfortably while cooking. Food-wise, it was good, but the refill timing was inconsistent. A few items like meat and fruit ran out faster than expected, and we had to wait a while, sometimes close to 30 minutes for refills to come back out. Service was okay overall, just a bit slow during peak rush. Still, for the price point and AYCE format, it's a good deal. I cant justify any of these dishes making me want to consume bowls upon bowls of rice. That's what spicy Szechuan and Hunan food is supposed to do....it should make you awaken your taste buds, with the power of their chilli peppers, Szechuan green & red peppercorns, and the umamis derived from MSG. Nope, I didn't crave the Lazi Chicken...nor the Hot Oil Beef Mix... Not the Cold Noodles, and I left with a $122 receipt in hand for 2 more takeout items on top of the 4 main dishes I've shared.....and I felt pretty empty. Empty in a sense, I could DO BETTER at home mixing my own Szechuan Cold Noodles, with Home Made Chili Oil, Sesame Paste, Sugar. Chicken Bullion, Minced Garlic, Vinegar, and Cilantro. I almost felt robbed here.....either every dish was lacking peppercorns and numbness, or it was missing Umami, Alot of it...so I leave anyone who wants to challenge my opinion otherwise and prove me wrong that the food here indeed belongs in a long list of top notch Szechuan Hunan Restaurants in Los Angeles. Even if this place opened up in Phoenix, I'm sorry, it's going to rank in the lower end of the bell curve. It was a hot day. I felt the service lady doesn't know how to tell "Customers Need Ice Water" and I had to vocally tell her ice and water please.
