The food is okay. They were quick to make the food. The food, the ambience, and the menu is very American style. My spring rolls were fresh and tasted fine. The carrots and lettuce is not typical. I liked the peanut sauce. The Bun Bo Hue was missing spice and that is the whole point of this beef noodle soup dish ordered. The broth tasted like their pho broth. Instead of offering red cabbage, it was green cabbage which is a lower budget. The pho was not bad. The broth was on plain light tasting. The bowls are on the smaller side.
2/21- Dine in visit - Stopped by in the evening wanted to check out this Pho spot that used to be inside Haven city (food hall). It was really great to see they branched off and opened up their own location . Their growth is amazing especially for the city of Rancho Cucamonga. Came in was warmly greeted by staff and the restaurant was quite busy which is good for their business was seated immediately. Staff was friendly and attentive with wonderful customer service. Ordered the Lantern apps combo which had crab / cream cheese won tons , fire cracker shrimp , egg rolls and pot stickers which all came out hot & ready and fresh with their sauces . Plus the combination pho Dac biet and the new Beef bone rib pho . Broth was flavorful and savory and the great thing they do offer extra noodles for free . Overall the food is great.. price is higher than other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to. In conclusion, the food is good, awesome ambience and decor with quick service and decent Vietnamese food... especially if you are in rancho craving a bowl of pho. Typically, OC and LA areas have the best Vietnamese food options ... but for local this place is pretty decent . It's listed in day creek and baseline which is a heavy traffic area with other food options in the same plaza .

I've been looking at this little Gem since it opened up! I'm so glad I finally got to eat here! Restaurant is very nice and clean inside! The service and servers are very friendly and super attentive! The food is just another level! I was torn as to which pho soup I should try. I elected for the chicken! The broth was unbelievably delicious! It came with the usual bean sprouts, basil and lime. The soup was so delicious that I can't want to try the other versions! I also ordered the firecracker shrimp that was cooked perfectly, they came with a sweet and sour sauce! I was so hungry that I forgot to take a first picture. I'm sorry about that I will get a better picture because this is now one of my top five favorite restaurants to eat at in Rancho Cucamonga! Enjoy Yelp Family! Be Nice and Patient because remember good food is usually made to order! I'm a forever customer!
This place is adorable! The plain Pho is our go-to, so delicious tons of flavor, and their noodles are perfect. The service is great every time, very friendly staff! We order to-go all the time too. We will definitely be back. The Bahi mi is amazing by the way, it is a must try. Very flavorful, and crust tender meat. The bread was perfect, and their noodles sauce they put on it is delicious!

One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Rancho Cucamonga!! (haven't been to a lot in this area but wow this place is sooo yummmzz) Everything I tried at Lantern Vietnamese Kitchen was genuinely good, but the crab fried rice stood out the most. It was flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and packed with crab -- easily the highlight of the meal and something I'd come back for alone. The fresh spring rolls were light and refreshing, the crunchy chicken salad had great texture and balance, and the shaken beef was tender and well-marinated. Every dish tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared, with no misses across the table. We ended with Vietnamese coffee, which was bold, smooth, and the perfect way to wrap up the meal. When you walk into Latern Vietnamese Kitchen, you are greeted with a nice aesthetic and calming environment (not too loud or overwhelming). Service was immediately offered, we had to wait 10 mins, but that's okay because they were quick to take our order. When looking at the cafe menu, there are many options to choose from; the iced thai tea was flavorful and not too sweet, and the iced jasmine green tea was great as well. The appetizers we ordered were the vegan eggrolls which were super good & the firecracker shrimp which were average. As for the pho, the quality of the filet mignon was amazing, much better than other places i've tried. Come check them out!!
You know when the food is so good you completely forget you love to take photos and review food? Yeah. That happened here at Lantern. Not pictured was two other lovely soups as well as garlic lobster rice my son got, which we all devoured. I promise I'm coming in and learning all the names. I don't think I've ever been so full in my entire life LOL. I ATE. And then ate more, and I felt like I was going to burst and I still took food home, and the left overs were absolutely astronomical and otherworldly. IF YOU LIKE COFFEE, YOU HAVE TO TRY THEIR VIETNAMESE COFFEE. DO IT. Mine was insane. Sorry I yelled at you. The staff here won't and was SUPER patient with me and all my questions :) VIBE CHECK: it was lit. I'll come back for restaurant pics, too. Very modern. I will definitely be back, indefinitely. All 5 of us loved the food: hubby, myself and my three kiddos ranging from 12 to 8. There was something for all of us!
The food was great. I really enjoyed the shaking beef and the garlic noodles. The green sauce that came with the garlic noodles was outstanding. The banh mi sandwiches were OK, pretty good. But the garlic noodles, shaking beef and brussels sprouts appetizers were my favorite.
My friends and I found the closest pho spot off the 210 Freeway and it was a great find. I was hungover, so needed soup so badly. I ordered the Combination Pho ($15.95 for regular), which was still a pretty large bowl. There's plenty of meat and toppings, especially cilantro and green onions. The broth was savory and heartwarming, which really hit the spot. I ended up getting an extra order of the broth ($4.95) too. Overall, clean and nice spot for your Vietnamese cravings. They also have some Thai dishes to throw some fusion in the mix though.

Great Vietnamese spot located in Rancho Cucamonga! We started with 2 Tofu Spring Rolls that were delicious. The tofu was lightly fried and still warm when the plate arrived, but did not cause any of the vegetables to be warm or soggy. The dipping sauce on the side was also very flavorful, but I would like to return and try their peanut sauce. I ordered the Pho-Rench Dip Sandwich, which it was a fun play on the classic french dip sandwich. The dish came with a brisket banh-mi, and a small bowl of beef broth with cilantro and green onions. This ended up being the perfect combination for me, as I was craving a banh-mi, but felt like I was missing out on not having pho. However, because my friend at the table ordered Pho, I was able to add some of the toppings into my broth, and it became the perfect side dish!

The food was delicious! The restaurant was clean and welcoming atmosphere. Service was friendly and easy going. I forgot to get pictures of all of our food, it looked so appetizing, we dug in! Pictured is pho combination and calamari. Not pictured was a salmon/rice plate, edamame and spring rolls. All of it was delicious. The bathroom was clean and didn't appear to be an afterthought. The thing that immediately caught my attention? FREE noodle refills on all large pho soups! I ordered the Chicken Pho and Shrimp Pho, and both had a flavorful, comforting broth that really hit the spot. The broth had great depth of flavor without being too heavy, making it perfect for sipping between bites. Of course, pho isn't complete without appetizers! I had to get the egg rolls and spring rolls. Egg Rolls: So flavorful with the perfect light crunch. Honestly, I always have to order egg rolls with pho because it's just the perfect combo. Spring Rolls: Fresh, delicious, and paired perfectly with the peanut sauce. The ingredients tasted fresh and the sauce added the perfect creamy, nutty finish. As for those free noodle refills, I actually didn't end up needing them! They give you a generous amount of noodles to begin with, so I was completely satisfied with my bowl. For dessert, I treated myself to a Vietnamese Iced Coffee with Ube Cold Foam. Vietnamese coffee is always one of my favorites because it's strong, rich, and sweet all at the same time. The ube cold foam was such a fun addition and complemented the coffee perfectly. Beyond the food, I absolutely loved the atmosphere. The restaurant is beautiful with lots of greenery, creating a relaxing and inviting ambiance. The staff was also incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Overall: 10/10 experience! Great food, beautiful space, friendly service, and those free noodle refills are such a bonus. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes and would absolutely recommend checking this spot out! read more

Lovely ambiance and friendly staff. Their Pho is delicious! The broth is full of flavor and great on its own. You don't really need to add anything to it. They offer free noodle refills on large soups and only for dine in. I also tried their new Banh Xeo which comes stuffed with pork and shrimp. Very crispy and it was huge. I do wish it came with a little bit more pork but other than that it was tasty. read more

I really missed the old Lantern from Haven City Market. Unfortunately, everything went wrong. We waited 45 minutes and the crab fried rice was very spicy, the egg was burned for the steak plate. The short rib pho was okay. Our server was nice as she tried to accomodate us through refund one of the dish and gave us a 20% off. However, I just really wish that the old Lantern from Haven City Market would come back. read more

Absolutely love this place. Service was fast, it was very clean inside and the staff were friendly. The food was amazing. My husband's step mom is Viet and the food had that authentic taste. Bun Bo hue was spicy but very good my daughter finished it all. I got the Bo Kho and loved it. Can't wait to bring the rest of the family back to try the Bánh xèo. The ube Vietnamese coffee was the best. read more
My girlfriend and I recently seen videos of this spot on TikTok and we wanted to take a gander! It was both our first time & we are going to be regular customers! It's such a good variety of dishes to eat & her and I are very much obsessed with the Beef Pho & the Spring Rolls! I love to drink a wam black tea with the meal! Jackson was our host & server & he has such wonderful customer service! He was kind enough to clean off the chairs & table since we needed outdoor seating because we brought our fur babies & he had no issue with assisting! The decor inside is very simple but clean & the outdoor seating is perfect & I love that it's dog friendly! We will be back & will be recommending! read more

Was in the mood for pho last night due to the cold, rainy weather. Plus, a little birdie told me it's National Noodle Month! I've had a couple friends tell me I need to give this place a try, so here we go! I opted for pickup and ordered directly from their website. We liked the additional options to add extra or remove unwanted ingredients. Once I submitted my order, I received a confirmation email followed by an estimated pick up time email. I was able to find parking rather quickly, but I was a tad bit late for my pickup time. There appears to be two entrances, or at least the west entrance appears to maybe accommodate outdoor dining when the weather is nicer--it has a bit of a patio feel with a gated enclosure. The north entrance appears to be the main entrance. The place is smaller than I expected but it was fairly busy and decorated nicely. My order was waiting for me at the counter and packaged nicely in a cute reusable tote bag! We did opt to reheat our broth upon my arrival home just so it was piping hot and could cook the meat properly. We got the filet mignon pho as well as the combination pho. Everything was really good and we have enough leftover for another meal! They have quite an extensive menu that looks really good, so I'd like to come back and try more items and dine in. read more

Loved this pho place ! The bun bo hue was super flavorful and my boyfriend got the banh canh or udon soup and he loved it after adding more of their chili oil! the rangoons were really fresh and the cream cheese mix wasn't skimped on. The banh xeo was actually huge. My hand was about a third of it! Super crispy and filled with so much stuff !!!!! Place was super cute a little tiny but i would for sure wait. I can't explain how delicious and full of flavor the beef broth is here. Best pho I have ever had at any of the local Vietnamese restaurants. Same with the Tofu banh mi, best ever. Soft bread, crunchy pickled veggies, cilantro, jalapeño slices, fried sliced tofu, and kewpie mayo and soy sauce. On their menu they have a Pho-rench Dip Banh mi that comes with a side of beef broth, so I decided to dip my tofu banh mi into my Vegan pho and was blown away. Whoa!!! I'll never eat a banh mi without dipping it into the pho from this point forward. My second time here I ordered the tofu banh mi with a side of beef broth, just because I wasn't hungry enough for a full pho. It's great that they offer the side of broth for just a few dollars. I also asked for a side of bean sprouts and mint to add to the broth. They did not give me any sauces, so if you want them added to your broth, I suggest requesting them. Both orders were to go, so I haven't had an experience inside the restaurant and can't comment on ambiance or service. Unfortunately, when parking to pick up my order, I noticed the B rating in the window. I really hope they can get this upgraded to an A so that their customers will feel safe. read more

Today I stopped by for a quick drink to fuel my run, and the ube coconut coffee tastes amazing and it has just enough strength to make you not feel too over the top! I was also helped by some amazing workers in Halle and Jackson and they give 5 star service! If you're in the area I suggest you stop by to fill your Vietnamese cravings! read more

Went on a Saturday night and was seated right away, super friendly and attentive staff! I ordered the peach lemonade, chicken wings, and seafood pho, and everything was so delicious. The peach lemonade was refreshing and perfectly sweet, the chicken wings were crispy, flavorful, and addictive with that garlic sweet and spicy sauce! and the seafood pho was packed with fresh ingredients and rich, comforting flavor in every bite. The seafood pho was around $30, which is definitely on the pricier side compared to other pho spots in the Rancho area. The place itself is really cute inside too, cozy vibe and clean. Overall, everything was great, and I'd definitely come back! read more

Food was yummy and the server was super sweet! We got egg rolls, filet mignon pho and bun bo hue. The pho and egg rolls are a classic so no room for error and they nailed it! It was our first time trying the bun bo hue but would definitely get it again - the flavors tied in very well with the spice. The space is very clean as well. I am a fan. I ordered the plain pho and I made a mistake by adding all my regular toppings. This broth was so good on its own it didn't need anything. The service was great both of the staff members we dealt with were sweet and attentive. The background noise was almost non existent. But the feel of the place is beautiful. It was so nice the furniture was so sturdy and comfortable which is a plus in my opinion. Definitely will be coming in here again. read more

Found this cozy place on Baseline and Day Creek in Rancho Cucamonga. They have great picks for Pho and other main dishes as well. I came for there Pho. The location is very clean and the staff are very nice. They also have outside dining to enjoy on those summer nights/afternoon's. I tried there follow with filet mignon it arrived quickly and it tasted very good. Very impressed. Will definitely coming back here again.. read more

We had a lot of fun trying Lantern. Walking in, you're met with a welcome and a cute, green and succulent themed restaurant. Lantern has a great aesthetic and the seating is quite comfortable. The service was also great, our server was very nice and we received our order in a timely manner. Tonight, we tried the spring rolls and the filet mignon pho. The spring rolls were ok and the pho was good, just a bit saltier than what we are used to. Overall, we had a good experience. We would definitely come back, maybe just try something else off the menu. read more

Ordered 2 chicken phos, Vietnamese coffee & egg rolls. I do like that they add crispy fried shallots to the pho. You don't normally see that in a lot of pho restaurants. Broth was great, very flavorful. We asked for chili oil & to our surprise the chili oil had lemongrass in it. Which I also do enjoy. Employees were kind & attentive. Decor inside the restaurant was also a plus, something more upscale & more modern compared to other pho restaurants. read more
