The Chef's Pho Ontario CA Date of visit: 10/25/25 (Saturday) at 6:00pm ( 2 and a half hours before closing) Atmosphere: Reminded me of cozy Asian grandparents home, it felt so inviting and my boyfriend and I decided to dine in rather than taking our food to go. The smell inside this establishment was divine to say the least. Food: My boyfriend and I ordered the pho, the steak and garlic noodles, and a Vietnamese coffee. Food ratings: Pho: 7/10, broth was light, but still delicious Vietnamese coffee: 8/10, its dark liquid appearance seemed a bit intimidating at first as we are use to other Vietnamese coffee we've tried appearing lighter in color. Flavor was great, quite addicting actually and I LOVED the aftertaste for some reason. Steak and garlic noodles: 7/10, flavors of both the steak and garlic noodles appeared to be on the lighter side in regards to flavor. I love strong and bold flavors, and I think the chimichurri sauce helped with this. The steak was slightly on the dryer side and didn't seem to be as seasoned. Staff: Friendly! And our food came no more than maybe 10 minutes after we ordered despite it being a little bit busy between dine in orders and door dashers picking up food to go.

Such an excellent place to get lunch at on my break. Fast service and high quality food. The staff is so attentive and the food is delicious. Love it here!

My favorite pho spot to go to when I'm craving . I always get the large chicken pho with extra noodles . It's always the best !! Inside is very spacious and service is amazing

It's officially soup weather, and the rain and cold has brought with it the craving for something hot and delicious. Enter The Chef's Pho. Once upon a time, I lived in NYC and food delivery was as common as a burger joint drive-thru is here in LA. I don't know why it took so long, but it's here now. Thank goodness for Uber Eats and Doordash. I can now have my favorite Brisket and Raw Flank Steak Pho delivered to my door. The broth is still hot and exquisitely seasoned. The noodles, meat and garnishments all successfully deployed. The egg rolls hot, crispy and crunchy. The only thing better is eating it right then and there, but home is dry, warm and cozy. Anyway, who wants to go out in the rain? In L.A.? I'm good.

This place looks pretty simple inside but the quality of food and service are exceptional!!! I highly recommend to try a short rib beef pho! OMG! It's just a next level! So delicious, fresh, meat was so tender and juicy! My favorite spot so far in Ontario!

My son likes the steak and rice without all the trimmings.

Reasonable prices, generous portions and great flavor. Clean dinning area and restrooms. Kids love the little robot that brings the food to the table and they also love the pho and the filet mignon with rice. A pho bowl js $12-$13.... Can't beat that. Service is also very attentive and courteous. Great family place.

I ordered from The Chef's Pho through Uber Eats and was so impressed! The steak pho was absolutely delicious -- tender slices of steak, rich and flavorful broth, and fresh toppings that made every bite comforting and satisfying. The portion was generous, and everything was packaged perfectly so it arrived hot and ready to enjoy. They included all the classic condiments on the side -- fresh basil, lime wedges, bean sprouts, jalapeños, and hoisin and sriracha sauces -- so I could customize it exactly how I like. Everything was crisp, vibrant, and clearly fresh. Definitely one of the best pho bowls I've had delivered, and I'll be ordering again soon!

Little delicious Vietnamese shop that has a variety of Vietnamese and Asian fusion dishes to suit anyone's cravings for a group. Their garlic noodles are decent but slightly on the mild side. Chewy and soft. Pricey compared to their other menu items. Taro smoothie was delicious and addictively sweet! Pho was delicious all around! Broth was flavorful and slightly on the sweeter side. They have a spicy broth version with Thai chilis that is actually really spicy so be careful when you give a level! They have a lot of types of meat for pho including fatty brisket!! 3 types of pho noodles for you too. Robot server carrying out all the pho orders. Minimizes accidents and looks cool and entertaining for kids. Pros: -good and fast service -two coed restrooms -delicious food -variety of menu items -broth is delicious and meat is tender and soft Cons: -slightly pricy garlic noodles

The Chef's Pho is chef's kiss! This local family owned spot is serving up some authentic Vietnamese food for the IE community. This spot is located in a plaza with a good amount of parking spots. Inside, they have a good amount of seating with about 8-10 tables for seating. Wifey and I came through for dinner around 7pm and were seated right away. For their menu, they have some beautiful designs and artwork throughout along with all the Vietnamese staples ranging from appetizers, rice, fried rice, pho, egg noodle, and garlic noodle dishes. We opted to try the Egg Noodle Combination Soup (Mi Dac Biet) and the Pho Combination Soup (Pho Dac Biet). Both dishes were amazing, comforting to the soul, and had those authentic rich and hearty flavors with every bite and sip. Overall, I can definitely see why the community packs this place out! All of the staff here are very friendly and efficient. We will be back forsure next time we are in the area. Come stop by to support a local family owned restaurant. The Chef's Pho is Viet gang approved!

I have been coming here for over a year and a half and I always forget to take photos of the food for a review because the food is that delicious. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. My sister and I came here on Christmas Day and it was busy, but the staff said hello right away and gave us a booth to sit at while we waited for our pickup order. They even threw in a free dessert! My sister ordered pho and fried rice, which she said were 5/5. I ordered a pork bahn mi sandwich, pork spring rolls and a pork with vermicelli noodles plate. The pork is flavorful and not chewy. I have eaten the pho from here and the broth is so flavorful and tasty. I have also eaten egg rolls too and those are also fantastic. If you're looking for a friendly place for Vietnamese food then look no further!

The chicken was tender and well seasoned with soy without being too salty. There was a fair amount of onions and tomatoes which were stir-fried along with the meat. The fries were freshly made with a light crispy exterior and creamy interior to soak up the saltado sauce. The aji verde salsa was on the spicy side but tasted good as an accompaniment to the dish. There was plenty of sauce from the stir fry for the extra portion of rice I ordered. I plan on ordering the Lomo Saltado next time. The staff were polite and efficient. Tallarin verde con lomo- the lomo was delicious but the pasta was a little too harsh on the pesto. Still good though. Menu is limited but if you're into lomo you should give this place a try. Dish Highlights: Pulled Noodles was good, great bounce, great texture, real hand pulled noodles. Dish Improvement: Needs more Anise, a slight bit more rock sugar, cinnamon cloves, fennel, maybe velvet the chicken wings and thighs before stir frying....baking soda + starch? Needs some Ghost Pepper Powder for the kick, and probably some oyster sauce rather than just regular and dark soy sauce. Mung Bean Smoothie: perfect, made to my specs, 20% sugar. Just right. This is my second time here. I drove my rig into the plaza after coming back from my Sacramento dispatch trip. Last time I had the beef tripe noodles (B+) not bad, but worth an order. I had their lamb skewers the first time around...not on my recommend list, you'll do better at any of those skewer places in City of Industry along Gale Ave and Frank and Sons. I had there Rou Jia Mou Meat Hamburgers from what I remember, maybe because I was too full, I didn't finish it, and disregarded packing my bun togo...so that being said, the Rou Jia Mou was pretty mediocre. Nice interior though, very cafe like. Last thoughts: to be honest, for the last two times in the plaza, I was prioritizing the buffet place next door, but somehow always end up here at Changan.... probably the overall menu, vibe here feels more authentic....at least that's the vibe you get seeing a bunch of random Chinese FOBs popping in here at Ontario, CA when most of these folks predominantly live in Chino, Eastvale, Chino Hills, Maybe Rancho, and see definitely more East Los Angeles. Think I had their pot stickers last time, was pretty good from memory. Why the three stars? Because I feel I can make better 大盤雞 Da Pan Ji at home minus the hand pulled noodles and the overall quality of food is probably comparable to say Hong Kong Macau Restaurant Cafe in Rowland Heights, you get off work, you don't know what to eat, you find a place that serves local, street culture Chinese food but it's not that great, but hey, we say that about McDonalds, and we still pick up a Quarter Pounder every now and then.

Good size clean and comfortable interior dining space. We were greeted immediately upon entry to sit at any open table. First thing we noticed was a sign that indicated one complimentary Lemonade or Thai Iced Tea drink for each entree ($12.50 or more) purchased (not valid with delivery). Cool deal! Staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. We were given two iced water shortly after being seated. They pretty much left us alone after delivering our food and drinks. We had to wave them down a few times. They provided us the good attention and care as needed. Thanks! Menu was not massive, but has a good selection of appetizers, pho noodles, rice, vermicelli, salads, and drinks. We went with one Pho Dac Biet that came with good quality beef round, beef meatball, brisket, tendon, tripe plus fresh basil, bean sprouts, jalapenos, lime. Huge hot and steamy bowl with abundant noodles that can be shared. Broth was clean and light, but could have been a bit more savory. We also got one Rice Combination Platter with grilled pork (chicken, beef, or pork chop are other meat options), fried egg, meat loaf, bean curd shrimp patty served with rice, salad, and fish sauce. I was slightly disappointed it wasn't the broken rice, but still good. This platter was quite delicious and definitely shareable. Love the bean curd shrimp patty the most! We'll sure to be back for more tasty Vietnamese foods, refreshing drinks, and amazing friendly service. If you haven't already, come on by and check out Pho K Plus!

We gave it a go and when we walked inside, everything was clean, they attended us quickly with the tables but we waited about 5 minutes to get our drinks and food ordered. We ordered two chicken pho bowls and a side of fried rice. My children were already hungry and so they became a bit fussy and loud but I did my best to calmed them down which didn't seem to work, and to make things worse, we notice all 3 MALE SERVERS watching and STARING at them. So although the place is calming, clean, and overall pleasant, I had issues with the service. Because 1. The servers weren't checking up on our table (we saw them check on other tables except ours) when we were running out of napkins. 2. The three servers in the restaurant were just watching my kids like a hawk as my special needs children were having a trouble time settling down. Even talking to each other in their language while still staring at my children like if they're talking about them, mind you they're both under 3 years old. But besides the horrible and rude service, the chicken pho was delicious and the Vietnamese iced coffee was really good. It's a shame that the service was horrible despite the food being super delicious. We will not be coming back again.
