Stopped by for late lunch . The place was very spacious. Lots of tables and chairs. The server he was ok. We ordered pho soup with ox tail. The soup tasted good but the oxtail meat was so hard. It wasn't pressurized so it we have to asked for a knife to cut it. The spring rolls with shrimp and pork were ok. It tasted average. The size was bigger compared to other Vietnamese restaurant we've been. The peanut sauce has coach's on top so it was spicy to taste. Overall it was ok.
Came here for the first time with my family and I have to say we had a great experience. Food was delicious we had trouble only choosing one item, I ordered the chicken pho and beef spring rolls. Both were amazing I love how the pho had veggies in it, very nice touch. The staff is so nice and sweet we will definitely be returning.
I was in town and had to stay nearby and I decided to try this restaurant. It was pretty busy for a Friday which I understood why it took a while to get my order to go but overall the soup was amazing. Great taste, and the staff was very friendly.
I gave this place a chance because I was staying at the hotel next door and didn't feel like driving anywhere. I'm soooo glad I did! The wait staff are very friendly and the restaurant is very clean. I like that each table has hand sanitizer and wipes on them for guests to use. They have a big selection of dishes. Tonight I got the shrimp and garlic rice plate. I asked if the shrimp came with shells, which it did. I asked if it could be substituted with other shrimp where I didn't have to deal with unshelling the shrimp. They happily accommodated. The food was very tasty and fresh. Give them a try!
I ordered 2 iced Vietnamese coffees to go and found peeled, ready to eat jackfruits in a cup for $5, which I also bough for to go. It is a sit-down restaurant, and I am intrigued to try their food next time I'm in the area. The Vietnamese iced coffee came in one size, large, it was refreshingly cold and delcious, and it will definitely wake you up. They also have other fruits as well. The jackfruits were sweet and perfect to eat for a quick snack. The man that took my order was kind and polite. When I came in, there were only a few customers, but it was before lunch hours, and as I was walking out with my drinks and snack, a big group came in.
This place has been in Rancho for awhile and I'm surprised it hasn't gotten more hype. It's a mom and pop type of establishment that serves more than just the typical pho and rice dishes. They serve Vietnamese hot pot as well as a ton of specials that they posted all over the store. Portion sizes are good and prices are generally affordable. The four choices are comparable to those you would get in little Saigon. They just need to tidy up the place a little bit but food is always good. If you like Vietnamese food try this place out
What amazing service very quiet and peaceful inside super inviting there's almost no one here. Prices are really good as well and the food was great. Two things I will say I wish I could give 4.5 star for the texture on the pho noodles not bad just a bit different than I'm used to and then the other would be some of the different cuts of beef were a bit less in quality, the meatballs are large and good flavor also the rare steak and the brisket were fine. I can't tell which cut it was but it was that was a bit tough. But no doubt we will definitely be back here again. I feel Like we found anpther hidden gem. What an amazing place I still think they deserve five stars because of just how polite they were and the fact that they have so many options.
I wanted some breakfast. I got a hi tieu wonton.. The noodles and the soup was okay. The flavor lacked a lot, I should have stuck to a bowl of pho instead. The wontons were the fried ones and they put them into the soup. I was disappointed with the wontons. They were weirdly textured on the outside, and the meat had a weird flavor... The service was quick and they were friendly. The restaurant was a good size with lots of tables. I came really early, and couldn't judge the ambiance, I am sure it's a family friendly environment.
Very quiet Saturday to have lunch here. Maybe it's after the holidays ? It's a spacious place with big menu. . My husband had the beef soup noodles. He said it was a bit chewy. My rice dish was ok; rice was a bit too "old" cuz it was a bit hard on certain bites.
I've been to this place many times, and every visit to Code Ninjas Rancho Cucamonga on the same plaza always includes a stop here. This time, I came with two friends I hadn't seen in a while. The servers are typically young people, possibly family members, and the grandparents (I assume) handle the cooking. The service is always great for a family-run business, and it's a local mom-and-pop spot where you can always count on getting a table. During the summer, there's no AC, so expect to have fans on and it'll be a bit warm, but I personally don't mind -- I've eaten pho in the summer without AC before! I like to pair my meal with a Vietnamese coffee, but they also have a great selection of fruit smoothies. My wife is more adventurous and tries different dishes when we come together. If you're looking to support local businesses, this is a great spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner -- yes, they serve breakfast, which many Vietnamese places don't! Definitely worth a visit.
This place is definitely a hidden gem you want authentic Vietnamese food you have to come here service is awesome. Food is delicious. Everything taste as you think it would taste and more textures are amazing. The sauces are divine. The wait time is close to zero. Such an amazing place and wonderful people you have to come here. Really solid pho spot! The chicken pho had such a clean, flavorful broth, and the noodles were just the right texture. The place is small but cozy--get there early to grab a seat.
My mom came here for a Pho and she said it was pretty good lol; It is Viet Mom approved :) - The Pho here is pretty expensive to what I am used to back in OC, $15 for a bowl of pho?? Usually it's less than $10-$12 for a large bowl (could feed 2 people large) in Garden Grove, but it is Rancho Cucamonga so I can reason with the price point. When I came here, the interior reminds me of how the Pho places in Garden Grove look like. It's comforting in its own way. However, the rest of the stuff on the menu was very disappointing. Beef hot pot/ Lau 2/5: We ordered Lau or Vietnamese hot pot and it was $40, they said it could feed 2-3 but it did not lol, we were still hungry after it. And the ingredients used did not equate to $40 worth. It was good nonetheless but it was not $40 good. We all agreed that, it's more worth to order 3-4 bowls of Pho instead of this atrocity. Anyways, the broth was great, very flavorful. It came with thin egg noodles, tendons, celery and bok choy. Ginger Chicken and Garlic Fried Rice $15 4/5: For $15, this is on the smaller size. I wouldn't say this is family style size. The garlic rice seems to be inconsistant with the dishes because the rice that came with this dish was a lot drier than the salmon steak. It was still very good tho, the chicken has.l sweet sour taste from the pickled daikon and carrots. Since we were still hungry, we ordered the salmon steak because the picture looked really appetizing. To our surprise it looked NOTHING like the picture on the menu. The picture made it look so juice and flavorful, what came out was FRIED salmon, which sucked the moisture away from the meat. Salmon Steak 2/5: it catfished us lol. So ya, the salmon came out fried with fish sauce dipping. It came with garlic fried rice, which was probably the best thing we got so far. It came with the same pickle carrots and daikon with a side of cucumbers and tomatoes. Probably not the best dish here. Just come here for the pho, more worth imo

Staying in town for the week and decided to go here after my daughter and her friends recommended it. I got the Stir-Fried Beef with Vegetable & Basil and a Soursop smoothie. The beef came with garlic rice and it's absolutely delicious. I assume the owner, an older gentleman, and the cashier and smoothie maker, were delightful and so nice! I've never had soursop before but it was underwhelming in a good way. I'll finish the whole thing ... Tastes very natural, not very flavorful.... It's a calm taste. I don't really know how to describe it honestly. I heard soursop is good for you so I wanted to try it. read more
Driving on Foothill Blvd, Pho Viet Restaurant is easy to miss, as it's not visible from the road. To find it, I usually look for the Sharaton Hotel in the same shopping center. An elderly woman, with a smile from ear to ear, suggested we try the lemon grass beef spring rolls since they were out of the nem spring rolls. They came with two different kinds of dipping sauce, peanut dipping sauce and Nuoc cham (fish sauce dipping sauce). Good recommendations indeed.. My friend and I both had the pho dac biet beef soup #33. Slurping the hot broth was just what we needed to keep us warm on this late-night chill. read more
4++ great little neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant that feels family owned and operated. The people were kind and the menu is pretty extensive. They specialize in pho, but there were a lot of other items on the menu that you could order as well. I came in for lunch during the weekend and was able to get a seat right away. I ordered a bowl of pho and the portions were pretty generous. I also got a Vietnamese coffee to wash it down. I thought the pho here was really good and definitely left feeling really full. Would love to come back and try some of their other items on the menu. read more

Orange carrot smoothie me please!!! I was craving Vietnamese food after a long week and finally went to the large shoo next to one if my favorite boba spots in Rancho. The restaurant reminds me of a food court and it smells incredible (yes, even the restroom) and the service was homely. The elderly man working the register was so happy to sit and chat with patrons and was amazing at making drinks. I had seen the busboy clean various tables 3 times while I had dined so they're above well on their sanitation which I love. The food, my favorite part! I loved the price and portion sizes as well as the immense flavor the vegetarian dish I ordered had. Usually when I order tofu at a restaurant, it never has a pleasant texture and taste, it's always a compromise of one or the other. Here, they do tofu extremely well. I will be back and with a big appetite. read more
Like the other reviews, the current waiter seems to be a little impatient with taking our order even with no one inside the restaurant. The food is ok; my party got pho and nem cuon. Pho was alright, we've had better. Nem cuon's flavor is lacking a bit in the spring rolls. I was hoping to not need the sauce with the spring rolls but the Nem cuon meat was somewhat flavorless. I stand by my previous reviews ( 7 yrs ago) that this place is probably best for their hot pot since this is the only place that offer "Vietnamese hot pot". Also dress light because there is no AC in the restaurant. Seems like they only have fans running inside. Keep that in mind when you order any soup. read more
The lemon grass banh mi was very delish and worth coming back for. The lemon grass spring rolls were ok but could use improvement. The fried rice wasn't too bad but they could cut up the meat smaller for customers to eat easier. The 3 color needs a lot of improvement. The price is a little on the higher side maybe due to location. The service was good but we were the only one in there on a Saturday for lunch. The ambiance was decent but it was way too hot inside. I don't think the AC was on at all. It was 97 degrees outside though. read more
I been here more than a few times, but I forget to check in. I used to order the ox tail soup 20$ but now a days, it's chewy and undercooked instead of fall off the bone. Lately it's the #27 fried golden pomapier? Fish. White meat and tender. I like the garlic rice dishes too- small portions for this super size American born Chinese chick... so order your own plate if you're hungry. I like the spring rolls shrimp and salmon ones over the beef and pork ones. Juices awesome- fresh. Lots of parking and seating. Service fast and friendly. Ask for extra napkins!!! Ambience is casual and open. Lots of windows seats so you don't feel claustrophobic and you can also watch your locked up Bike on the car rack. I came her a few times with my biking friends and also my hospital friends. Order the correct dish.... plenty of food... bone and broth is better BuT there's a wait there... here you just sit and eat. Nothing a little extra plum or hoisin sauce can't hide... read more
Ordered the $25 beef hot pot to go for hubby qnd I to share. This was definitely enough for 2 people to feel full. The broth is flavored nicely and the beef, veggies and noodles were packed separate from the broth. Would definitely recommend giving this a try. Outside they have a few tables for outdoor dining and inside there are more than enough booths or tables for social distancing. Their menu is quite extensive with many options qnd they also offer fresh drinks/smoothies. All employees wore masks and were professional and courteous. read more

This is one of the biggest Pho place I've seen so far. Plenty of seating inside and outside. I came late at night to get myself a Banh Mi and a Smoothie. As I waited for my order I saw their seafood menu on the wall with pictures. This is definitely a place to come back to and take a closer look at it and eat some. The Banh Mi was good, and the smoothie as well. Got to go back one day though! read more

DON'T waste your time eating here - Go to Bone & Broth. First, I wouldn't have minded about charging me for water if you have it in your menu or told us. But no, you try and sneak it in the bill. Second, the Pho was bland. I guess you are saving money on ingredients too. And Lastly, I guess the B rating you got from the health department was right. Bone & Broth is much better than this place. read more

I am. It sure how this place has only 3.4 stars. I think this place needs more love. Food was very good, many Vietnamese dishes. They also have fresh juices and smoothies. We ordered beef phó, fresh spring rolls, and combination fried rice. The coconut smoothies were made from fresh coconuts! We will definitely come back when we are in the area. read more

2nd time coming here and each time we are greeted by the most friendly staff. We ordered something different this time and we were not disappointed! The shrimp and squid was really delicious and full of flavor! Their fruit juice was so refreshing! It's pretty empty but I'm not complaining because my baby us able to dance to the Vietnamese music they play at the restaurant. Definitely my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant, they have such a variety of food than other Vietnamese restaurants. read more

I let my hubby choose the place of a lunch date and I was excited when I got into the restaurant. It's big and airy. There were about 10 guests inside of the maximum room capacity of 108 people during lunchtime but a lack of staff to serve. We waited about 20 minutes. Thai tea boba didn't even taste like Thai tea. How sad. The rest of the food we picked like No 33. Pho noodle soup and rice with curry chicken were below the average. The free soda on yelp check-in is no longer provided. (The owner said it's long time ago, but my question is why don't you take it off?) Over all is 2.5 of 5. I don't think we will come back and I'll choose the place of lunch date next time. read more
