    The spring roll
    Elizabeth S.

Stopped by for late lunch . The place was very spacious. Lots of tables and chairs. The server he was ok. We ordered pho soup with ox tail. The soup tasted good but the oxtail meat was so hard. It wasn't pressurized so it we have to asked for a knife to cut it. The spring rolls with shrimp and pork were ok. It tasted average. The size was bigger compared to other Vietnamese restaurant we've been. The peanut sauce has coach's on top so it was spicy to taste. Overall it was ok.

Came here for the first time with my family and I have to say we had a great experience. Food was delicious we had trouble only choosing one item, I ordered the chicken pho and beef spring rolls. Both were amazing I love how the pho had veggies in it, very nice touch. The staff is so nice and sweet we will definitely be returning.

I was in town and had to stay nearby and I decided to try this restaurant. It was pretty busy for a Friday which I understood why it took a while to get my order to go but overall the soup was amazing. Great taste, and the staff was very friendly.

I gave this place a chance because I was staying at the hotel next door and didn't feel like driving anywhere. I'm soooo glad I did! The wait staff are very friendly and the restaurant is very clean. I like that each table has hand sanitizer and wipes on them for guests to use. They have a big selection of dishes. Tonight I got the shrimp and garlic rice plate. I asked if the shrimp came with shells, which it did. I asked if it could be substituted with other shrimp where I didn't have to deal with unshelling the shrimp. They happily accommodated. The food was very tasty and fresh. Give them a try!

I ordered 2 iced Vietnamese coffees to go and found peeled, ready to eat jackfruits in a cup for $5, which I also bough for to go. It is a sit-down restaurant, and I am intrigued to try their food next time I'm in the area. The Vietnamese iced coffee came in one size, large, it was refreshingly cold and delcious, and it will definitely wake you up. They also have other fruits as well. The jackfruits were sweet and perfect to eat for a quick snack. The man that took my order was kind and polite. When I came in, there were only a few customers, but it was before lunch hours, and as I was walking out with my drinks and snack, a big group came in.

This place has been in Rancho for awhile and I'm surprised it hasn't gotten more hype. It's a mom and pop type of establishment that serves more than just the typical pho and rice dishes. They serve Vietnamese hot pot as well as a ton of specials that they posted all over the store. Portion sizes are good and prices are generally affordable. The four choices are comparable to those you would get in little Saigon. They just need to tidy up the place a little bit but food is always good. If you like Vietnamese food try this place out

What amazing service very quiet and peaceful inside super inviting there's almost no one here. Prices are really good as well and the food was great. Two things I will say I wish I could give 4.5 star for the texture on the pho noodles not bad just a bit different than I'm used to and then the other would be some of the different cuts of beef were a bit less in quality, the meatballs are large and good flavor also the rare steak and the brisket were fine. I can't tell which cut it was but it was that was a bit tough. But no doubt we will definitely be back here again. I feel Like we found anpther hidden gem. What an amazing place I still think they deserve five stars because of just how polite they were and the fact that they have so many options.

I wanted some breakfast. I got a hi tieu wonton.. The noodles and the soup was okay. The flavor lacked a lot, I should have stuck to a bowl of pho instead. The wontons were the fried ones and they put them into the soup. I was disappointed with the wontons. They were weirdly textured on the outside, and the meat had a weird flavor... The service was quick and they were friendly. The restaurant was a good size with lots of tables. I came really early, and couldn't judge the ambiance, I am sure it's a family friendly environment.

Very quiet Saturday to have lunch here. Maybe it's after the holidays ? It's a spacious place with big menu. . My husband had the beef soup noodles. He said it was a bit chewy. My rice dish was ok; rice was a bit too "old" cuz it was a bit hard on certain bites.

I've been to this place many times, and every visit to Code Ninjas Rancho Cucamonga on the same plaza always includes a stop here. This time, I came with two friends I hadn't seen in a while. The servers are typically young people, possibly family members, and the grandparents (I assume) handle the cooking. The service is always great for a family-run business, and it's a local mom-and-pop spot where you can always count on getting a table. During the summer, there's no AC, so expect to have fans on and it'll be a bit warm, but I personally don't mind -- I've eaten pho in the summer without AC before! I like to pair my meal with a Vietnamese coffee, but they also have a great selection of fruit smoothies. My wife is more adventurous and tries different dishes when we come together. If you're looking to support local businesses, this is a great spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner -- yes, they serve breakfast, which many Vietnamese places don't! Definitely worth a visit.

This place is definitely a hidden gem you want authentic Vietnamese food you have to come here service is awesome. Food is delicious. Everything taste as you think it would taste and more textures are amazing. The sauces are divine. The wait time is close to zero. Such an amazing place and wonderful people you have to come here. Don't pass it up if you're looking for Vietnamese food

Really solid pho spot! The chicken pho had such a clean, flavorful broth, and the noodles were just the right texture. The place is small but cozy--get there early to grab a seat.

The value is definitely the main highlight, pricing is fair for AYCE and you get a decent variety of meats, veggies, and sides. For a casual hot pot night, it's hard to complain on cost alone. That said, there were a few things that made the experience a bit less smooth. Parking was a challenge since the plaza gets very busy, so it took a while to find a spot. Inside, the setup was also a little confusing at first the hot pot being built into the table takes some getting used to, and it made it slightly awkward to get the soup out comfortably while cooking. Food-wise, it was good, but the refill timing was inconsistent. A few items like meat and fruit ran out faster than expected, and we had to wait a while, sometimes close to 30 minutes for refills to come back out. Service was okay overall, just a bit slow during peak rush. Still, for the price point and AYCE format, it's a good deal. I'd come back, just with lower expectations on speed and pacing. 4 stars mainly for value.

Lowlights: they don't offer bbq - just hot pot. They only have 2 levels - $20 or $45. The basic meat is self-serve, but the premium meats came out all at once. There's a penalty for food waste. We got the premium option for hot pot dinner, all the meats came out at once already portioned for our group of 4. As nice as it is to not have to wait, it doesnt take into account that we would've wanted to pick and choose what to order and maybe abstained from some options to get refills of the options we did like. When the meats all come out at once, it's hard to know which is which. The only obvious distinguished proteins were the seafood, which is presented really nicely. The veggies/noodles/sauce bar weeds well stocked and had the typical toppings you want for your soup. For dinner, the restaurant seemed lean staffed, which was fine since it wasn't busy and we got seated in an obvious spot.

The dining process is super convenient and straightforward: you select your favorite soup base from options like Tonkotsu or Spicy Miso on your order sheet, choose your starting cuts of meat, and then head over to the self-serve area to round out your meal. The quality of the food across the board is top-notch--the meats arrive fresh and finely sliced, and you can reorder as much as you want at no additional charge. What truly sets this place apart, beyond the delicious food and attentive service, is the comfortable dining environment. Unlike many other hot pot restaurants where the heat leaves you sweating through your meal, the AC here is powerful and keeps the room perfectly cool. You can fully enjoy cooking your hot pot with unlimited trips to the self-serve bar for fresh veggies, sauces, seafood, noodles, and dessert without feeling uncomfortably warm. We stuck to the beef and the pork belly which was very good, the beef not so much though. The buffet bar had plenty of options and sauces so that was a plus but unfortunately the lack of service really made this experience a two-start rating. We were greeted (dryly), seated, and left to figure out the confusing ordering sheet. Thankfully we have experience with HotPot and (sort of) figured it out and even after we expressed concern about how we were suppose to order/write down our meat selections per round (which they claim is unlimited but they only have 3 columns on the sheet) our questions remained unanswered. Trying to flag a waiter down to order more meat was a pain as hardly any were available and we were missing appetizers on our "second" but with the way the service was we figured there wasn't any point in bringing it up not to mention the lack of (flat) soda refills. I doubt we will be returning.
