Large free parking lot, which is always convenient. Ordering is done by scanning a QR code and placing your order from your phone. Tried the satay beef pot -- it was good, though nothing particularly stood out. Also tried the calamari which was standard. Casual vibes with nice service overall.
I've been here a couple times for lunch and it's been a pretty good experience! They give out free black/green tea during lunch which is very refreshing but a little too sweet. I got the Beef Sukiyaki and it was just perfect! Loved the amount of meat they gave, the broth, veggies, and the udon was the perfect touch to this dish. I would come here more often if I was local. It's a better alternative to Boiling Point since there's generally no wait!

They're typically understaffed since it's only 1-2 servers who manages the whole front of the house (bills, cleanup, make drinks, serve). Tables were open but still a wait since they couldn't clean up in time. House special pot is always good, with a choice of spice level and rice or vermicelli. I always get medium spice with rice. Their popcorn chicken pot is also good, with savory crispy chicken served on the side. Lamb and curry pot are also very yums. You won't be disappointed in any of them. Each pot has different toppings in the pot, but usually a lot of variety including cabbage, corn, quail eggs, meatballs, clams, tofu, etc. The sauces are what makes it more delicious . I love the garlic and soy bean paste for dipping. This place also has my favorite almond milk tea. Love their type of almond flavor here.

It's consistently satisfying and comforting. For appetizers, we always order the chicken popcorn (crispy and flavorful!) and the thousand year egg with cold tofu--a must if you're into traditional dishes. The only downside for me, as a bit of a germaphobe, is that the drinks are brought over with hands touching the top rim of the cup. It's a small detail, but one I notice every time. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for a cozy and flavorful hot pot experience!

Good food, ok service. I came for a work lunch and the restaurant filled up quickly at lunchtime. Their menu is similar to Boiling Point but might have even more options! They also have free teas provided, not sure if it's just for lunch though because it wasn't on the menu. I got the House Special Pot at mild spice and it was super yummy and enough food where I had leftovers. Unfortunately the service was a bit disappointing though. One of my coworkers hadn't realized that the House Special Pot he ordered came with clams as well and he's allergic to shellfish so had to stop eating out of caution. When he raised this with staff they just told him it was on the menu and he should've noted it when ordering. There was no support in pointing him to other pots that didn't have shellfish and so he spent most of the lunch looking through the menu more carefully and making it clear with them to not include shellfish.
Saw another Taiwanese hot pot not BP and decided to try it out. I got the house special pot mild spicy. The soup had a very strong Chinese Bullhead BBQ taste. The meat quality was not good for the default option. Lots of greens in the pot but not much of the other stuff. The popcorn chicken was great. Chicken has flavor and was crispy. The pot is on the pricier side and if you want good meat it is an additional add on. Ordered via a QR code and the service was good. Small restaurant but lots of parking. Would only come back for popcorn chicken.
Tried the Vegetarian Mushroom Pot here yesterday and it was underwhelming. The broth was extremely bland--basically tasted like lightly salted water. It felt like the ingredients (veggies and mushrooms) were just added to plain water and left to cook, without any real depth of flavor. Even the greens tasted bitter. They also forgot to include the rice that was supposed to come with the order. I didn't bother bringing it up since the food had already killed my appetite at that point. If a restaurant is going to include vegetarian hot pot on the menu, there needs to be more thought put into the broth. Even without meat-based stock, there are plenty of ways to build flavor--herbs, spices, and traditional ingredients like star anise or jujube can make a big difference. The ambience is nice, good customer service, but the baseline (food) is not there.

The food was excellent, the Taiwanese spicy beef is always on point and still my favorite dish. The Beef Bento also has a good portion of meat with a decent price. However, the service could use some improvement. The server didn't seem to speak English very well and wasn't very friendly. He placed water with no ice on my table without saying anything, and didn't ask if I wanted ice water or anything else. Ordering was done through a phone scan of the barcode on the table. The wait time for food wasn't too long, and they offer one free iced green tea or black tea with every pot you order. After ordering, the server will ask which tea you prefer. The pot also comes with choices of steam rice / glass noodles. Overall, the food is great, the restaurant is clean, and the prices are affordable. I'll definitely be back.
I like to order the tomato pot. Majority of their pots offer pork slices, instead of beef slices, if that is what you prefer. They offer good sauces to dip here, the soy garlic and sesame peanut sauce are so yummy. I like that you can scan the QR code on your table to order since the service is extremely subpar.
Decor, service and flavors are all on point at this Taiwanese hot pot spot. I'd never seen a hot pot menu with so many different flavor options, but I eventually chose the satay flavor. The broth is not too overpowering, and the bowl arrives filled to the brim with a big variety of veg, dumplings/balls and beef. Combined with vermicelli it was too much for me to finish, but I did my best. The owner was so nice and attentive, and even comped us a free fresh orange juice with green tea drink, which was so refreshing and paired harmoniously with the hot pot. One of my favorite components was the side pot of Taiwanese bean paste, which tasted outstanding as a dip for my hot pot veg. read more

Popcorn chicken comes on the side, it's a highlight of this dish! Tender inside crunchy outside. Otherwise, the broth is not too special, and a little bit too oily to our taste. - Pumpkin Pot: 4.8/5. Hot pot is very satisfying on a cold day. My friend and I went to Pot on Fire for lunch. Perhaps I might have picked the wrong thing to order because I did not enjoy my hot pot as much as I thought I would. I ordered the House Special Pot. I did not liked the flavor of my order. I did not like pork intestine or pork blood rice cake. I figured out later that I could have asked to leave it out. These items have strong flavor. If you are not into these things, be sure to leave it out of your order. I feel like the pot is rather small. I wasn't full after I have finished my pot of food. I had ordered vermicelli instead of rice. If you are hungry, you should order a bowl of rice instead of vermicelli. You have a choice of spicy level. During lunch hour, an iced tea is complimentary with your order. The iced tea was very refreshing. read more

A few days ago, I passed by Chino and found this place on Yelp -- almost a thousand reviews and 4 stars, so I decided to give it a try. After sitting down, I realized it's run by Taiwanese people. After eating, I knew I'd definitely come back again. The hot pot comes with lots of ingredients, and you can add your favorite extras. Lunch even includes a drink, and there are plenty of tasty night market-style snacks. Left feeling full to the top of my head -- totally satisfied! read more

It's not too often I get Hot Pot, but Pot on Fire definitely impressed me and left me full. Once we arrived, we hopped on the digital waitlist and waited about 10 minutes to be seated; it was quite busy in the evening on the weekend, so expect a wait. Once walking in, you just get a whiff of seafood smell. You can order everything digitally, and they have an extensive menu and even their own brand of bubble tea. While we were entering our order online, the waitress actually took our order, which was much more convenient. I ordered the Sukiyaki Pot, which has Japanese Udon inside. All of their pots have so many toppings to enjoy! Once they light the pot up, I recommend that you ask an employee to turn it off after 5-10 minutes. Everything was super hot so fast, haha. I'm returning and will try their popcorn chicken next time. read more

Solid alternative to boiling point. I thought the meat wasn't quite as fresh but the BBQ flavor in the soup was quite nice. The fermented tofu flavor is quite bold and great if you like the strong pungent flavor. What really stood out to me though was the popcorn chicken. Felt like they used the proper Taiwanese style breading that had a nice crunch! read more

I was craving hot pot and boiling point's wait was way too long, so I found this spot near by. I ordered the pumpkin hot pot and my partner got the sukiyaki. Pumpkin hot pot - 7.5/10. I really enjoyed the broth, it was rich and flavorful. Only thing I wish I could've done was swap out the pork for beef. Sukiyaki hot pot - 8/10. This reminded me of the sukiyaki you can order from Mikiya. Although it's included, a side of rice/glass noodles isn't necessary because the pot comes with udon which was already filling. read more
After passing by this establishment many times, my partner and I finally paid a visit after work! We were quickly seated and with the ordering system being online, we got our order within 15 minutes! The pots we got were piping hot and the broth was delicious! My order came with popcorn chicken and the chicken was nice and crispy, a perfect pairing with the soup that I ordered. My partner's soup did not fall behind on the taste department too! Unlimited broth led us to getting 3 refills of the soup and we left extremely full and satisfied, a great way to end the work day. I'll definitely be thinking about this place the next time I want to get hot pot! read more

Over the years we have been here SO many times, it's probably the restaurant we go back to again and again the most. AND i actually crave it every so often! Taiwanese spicy hot pot is the only thing we ever order! And I love how you can customize the spice level (other hot pot places only offer one level of super spicy). Lunch price is a bit cheaper and you still get tea, but both lunch and dinner prices have continued to go up over the years Don't sleep on the chicken wings, crispy and flavored like popcorn chicken but bone in! read more

What's the red meat inside the hot pot here? Whenever I go here, they have thinly sliced beef that looks a regular brown color, but I find within the broth there's also thinly sliced red meat (cooked not raw). Is that a different cut of beef...?
I believe its a fish cake, or crab stick. Its not a real crab meat tho.

Is one hot pot shareable for 2 people?
I wouldn't recommend it. The portion is fair for average people. I am a small eater so I mostly can't finish everything in their pot. However, I don't think it is enough if I only get half of the pot.
Does anyone know if any of the dishes can be made gluten free, (without wheat of any kind including flour and soy sauce)?
doubt it since they use soy sauce as a base seasoning for a lot of their dishes
