Tangsuguk
Ichika G.

Very large portion!! Really bold and good flavor. We got jjamppong, jajangmyon, and tangsuguk. This is the combo I have been wanting to try and did not disappoint me! I went in right after they open but before our food came in the restaurant was full house. So I recommend to go in earlier or after peak hours. The reason for minus one star- lots of employees are Gen Z kids. They are not conscious of what's going on. One server came and ask how's everything? when we haven't even get to jjamppong yet... (^_^;) then no one came to ask about water or how's food etc. took forever to get our bill and boxes to go because no one is checking on customers. We had to ask to a lady who looked like a manager haha and she was really professional like looking away when we are paying. Wow so much respect...!

I've tried different locations of Paik's Noodle before, and I always assumed the dishes would be pretty much the same at every franchise. Unfortunately, I was wrong with this one. The noodles at Paik's Noodle are supposed to have that nice, chewy texture, but the noodles here were noticeably different and didn't have the same texture I've come to expect. The food overall was just alright--not the worst I've ever had, but definitely nothing special. What disappointed me the most was the fried bun. The one I received looked completely different from the picture on the menu. I understand that food photos can sometimes look better than the actual dish, but the difference here was pretty significant (not good).

We had a chance to try Paik's noodle for dinner and it didn't disappoint. We got seated right away on a Saturday night and it was a quick and great service. The restaurant is very clean and has this aesthetic vibe. We ordered jajjangmyeon, dumplings, soy garlic chicken wings and sweet and sour pork. Everything is amazingly delish. Their pricing also pretty reasonable with the portion of food that we received. - Dumplings are pretty big and lots of fillings. Not too heavy and has the perfect crisp. - Black bean noodles is amazing. The texture of the noodle is perfect with the sauce that has lots of onions. It's not too salty and sweet as well. - Sweet and sour pork is the best I've had so far. They use great quality of pork and the breading is pretty light. The sauce is amazing. - Soy garlic chicken wings is just finger licking good. The chicken is very tender and juice. Definitely will go back to try their other items on the menu. They also have a sign by the door that they're waiting for their alcohol license.

I've been to a few Paik's locations in SoCal, and this is by far the best in terms of quality, portions and overall execution. This is a standalone restaurant with modern decor, as opposed to the typical food stall you'll find inside a grocery store. They're still very much in their opening month and clearly have some growing pains, so my review is entirely based on the quality of the dishes I ordered. I got the regular jjajangmyeon, meat jjajangmyeon, and sweet and sour pork. The regular jjajangmyeon was solid, but the meat jjajangmyeon was sooo good. I haven't seen many spots serve the pork like this; the pork was incredibly tender and flavorful. The noodles and sauce were honestly a solid 9/10. The sweet and sour pork was also close to perfect and exactly how I like it, with that potato starch batter fried to perfection. Nice and chewy on the outside, while the pork itself was tender and not dry at all. Overall, this will definitely be a local staple for me. Other dishes, like their iron plates and wings, equally looked amazinggg and I'm looking forward to trying more items on my next visit! Service was also attentive, and again, they're still working through some opening-month growing pains, so please give everyone some grace. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, attentive and doing their best.

NO LUNCH MENU BOO! Regular Jja Jjang Myun: 4/5 there was a lot of sauce but the portion was small for the price. Noodles were sort of wet not dry like usual. Sauce wasn't thick more on the watery side. Steamed bread: nothing special. Pricey for just 3. Usually other Chinese restaurants give their breads for free. Jjamppong: 3.5/5 the flavor of the broth was on point with the right amount of spicy kick but it was mostly veggies. One shrimp, one mussel and a few squid pieces. I know this because I split this with a friend lol. Sweet and Sour Pork: 5/5 the meat was tender and thick pieces fried perfectly. Their sauce is sweet and delicious! Other reasons why I gave only 3 stars: They gave us a cup of cold watermelon punch when we sat down which was weird. Shouldn't that be given at the end of the meal as a dessert? No kimchi. It was FREEZING inside. It was a hot day so I get it when you need the AC on but the temperature was uncomfortable- my baby was cold. $80 for lunch of bowls of noodles and one entree is too much! Especially during this time when everyone's wallets are hurting. Especially when all the other Korean/Chinese restaurants offer lunch specials with combos and lower prices. Please consider this!

TLDR; came for the classic trio of jjajangmyeong, jjampong, tangsuyuk and was BLOWN away by their amazing service (and the delicious food ofc) Food: the jjajangmyeong sauce was not too sweet and the meat was tasty. Paired with the tangsuyuk, it was a dream combo and tasted exactly like what I imagine every time I crave these dishes. The jjampong was good as well; I loved how spicy it was compared to other jjampongs I've had in the past. It had the perfect kick and a generous amount of seafood. Not to mention, the presentation of the food was aesthetic which is a plus! Service: WOW is all I can say. Someone came by to switch out our tangsuyuk with new ones bc they said it was burnt and they can't serve something like that--I didn't even notice it was burnt. Later on, they came by with another plate of dessert that was on the house as an apology for the "burnt" tangsuyuk. Overall, the waiters were all super nice and patient and even had allowed us to change tables when we mentioned feeling cramped where we were originally. Will be coming back again for sure!! One of the best places I've tried :)

I take my parents here every week since they opened and we all absolutely love it! We love the Paik's Noodle franchise but we especially love this branch because their jjamppong soup and sweet and sour pork are superior to other branches! (BTW, our qualifications as Paik's Noodle lovers are: we visited the San Jose, Koreatown, Buena Park, and even the Seoul, SK branch ) Their sweet and sour pork quite literally melts in your mouth and is extremely delicious. They also have a few other dishes that other branches don't serve (or maybe these are just new items for everyone?), such as the stir-fried jajangmyeon/sizzling iron plate jajang (which is so, so bomb!!! highly recommend) and lemongrass chicken (haven't tried, but it's next on the list!). Not pictured, but we always get the very yummy jajangbap (black bean with egg and rice) and have also tried the soy garlic chicken (pretty good!!), beef fried rice (soooo good) as well as the crispy buns. This may be repetitive, but everything is just soooo, sooo good! The service is also top-notch and all the servers are attentive and efficient. I'm actually surprised that there are 1-star reviews, but it seems like they were posted during their soft/grand opening. As regulars, I am here to say that the service is constantly improving and, at this point, despite being a busy, sit-down restaurant, we're still able to get in and out of there within a hour because of how quick and great the service is! The restaurant itself looks very different from other Paik Noodle branches that we've been to. It's definitely got a classier and nicer vibe versus the cafeteria style that we see with other branches. I'm so glad that a Paik's Noodle finally opened in the Chino area and even more grateful that their food and service is spectacular! If you're reading this, I hope this review convinces you to take a trip to the restaurant :)

after reading Jessica W.'s review on FB. we came in on a Monday night around 6:30. the place is open and spacious, most tables were full with a few tables not cleaned yet. we got seated right away. we ordered Jajangmyeon 炸醬麵 and Jjamppong 炒碼麵. it took 10min for our jajangmyeon to come, then 1 of the waitress (who also serves as receptionist, we think is the owner) came to ask if everything is ok, we told her we're still waiting for our 2nd dish. waited another few minutes before we were finally served. Jajangmyeon 炸醬麵 sauce was sweeter than I'm familiar with but that makes it very appetizing. the sauce does have some pork pieces in it, but they do charge a few $ extra if you'd like to add more pork meat. there's also enough sauce to cover/mix into the noddles. Jjamppong 炒碼麵 had squid, mussels, pork and veggies. the soup had a little kick to it. very flavorful. I really like the chewy fresh noodles in both dish. there are many servers standing around, but some tables were still not cleaned (assuming the servers don't bus the tables) after we finished our meal. we finally saw 1 woman started cleaning the tables (not sure if she just came into work). At one point I inhaled some spicy soup and started coughing and needed more napkins, before I wave down one of the many waiters standing around, 1 of them already dropped off a stack of napkins for me. my husband said this guy must be the owner as the other waiters are younger. overall I like the food, price is average for the inflated market now. but at least we get a good fill of tasty food. the servers can be trained better and bus lady also need to be more efficient to keep the tables cleaned promptly.

Glad to see Paik's Noodle open now in Chino Hills. Came by 5:30pm on a weekday and they were not busy. Plenty of seating. Got a to go order of jajangmein, jjambong & sweet & sour pork. Yummy! Took some photos of the menu to share.

Absolutely delicious, amazing-friendly staff, and the restaurant offers great seating so there was no wait. This was our first time here so we wanted to try several dishes but we were mostly looking forward to the Jajangmyeon and sweet and sour pork. We were a party of 5 so we shared everything and the portions are so big that we had plenty to take home. Food was savory, the thick dipping sauce for the pork and chicken was delicious, the spicy Jjampong was loaded with seafood and noodles, sides were also great as we had the radish, spicy peppers, and kimchi. Staff was super attentive, service was fast and definitely a place we will be back to.

Food is very good want take pictures but they look so good we order back sauce noodles and seafood noodles soup before we know it it's half gone. Service supreme good always there if needed something. Don't forget to order sweet and sour pork they to die for it was so delicious.

Black bean noodles with pork = fire. Flavors as expected, having the pork with a slight smoky flavor ties the dish together. I did ask for more radish! Jamppong noodle texture 100%, soup flavor is as expected. Dumplings come out fresh , hot and crispy but I'd skip next time. I'd come back for the black bean noodles. Decor is simple, wide open space. Since its first day, servers are probs trying to figure stuff out, so kinda had to flag them down. They are a little soft spoken, but they are respectful.

I had been counting down the days ever since I saw the sign go up, and Paik's Noodle definitely lived up to the hype! Even though there was a bit of a wait because the restaurant was so busy, it was absolutely worth it. The interior is modern, stylish, and spotlessly clean--far more elegant than you'd expect from a franchise restaurant. We ordered the spicy seafood noodle soup (Jjamppong), black bean noodles (Jjajangmyeon), shrimp fried rice, fried dumplings, and sweet & sour pork, and every single dish was outstanding. The flavors were authentic, fresh, and absolutely delicious. On top of the amazing food, the service was incredible and every staff member was warm, welcoming. I can't wait to come back and try even more dishes. Highly recommend!

Everything was flavorful, and the cold noodles were especially refreshing after all the hot dishes. I had been here before when we were living in the LA area, so coming back after some time away made the meal feel a little more special. And another bad experience that hinged on the trauma from the first time where after 5 minutes of sitting there with the receipt, I called over one of the workers to make sure I paid like I didn't just watch him slide my card into the kiosk and print out a receipt.

The banchan came out first and then the bimbimbap. The tofu soup took forever to come out which was a little confusing because I'm used to getting it first at Korean restaurants. The food was excellent and the banchan was tasty. The tofu soup lacked flavor and the medium spice barely tasted spicy at all. The bimbimbap was definitely my favorite part of the meal.
