bone fragment in short rib soup that got stuck in my teeth. were tons of bits in the entire dish
Sandy K.

ordered the 우거지 갈비탕 (short rib soup with cabbage) and i'm sorely disappointed and honestly frustrated with the dish. they didn't seem to have rinsed or washed the short rib before cooking to get rid of all the bone fragments from butchering. it was irritating to keep biting into small bits of bone and as luck would have it, one of the last bites i took a piece of bone ended up getting wedged into my last two molars. couldn't even get floss in and the waterpik did nothing. eventually i was able to pry it out, but this shouldn't have even happened at all. don't recommend getting any of their short rib dishes unless you want to bite into bone shards

A decent Korean restaurant with a very authentic feel. The food is fresh, especially the vegetables, and the portions are generous. Service is friendly and attentive, with plenty of seating and convenient parking. Nothing overly fancy, but a solid place to enjoy authentic Korean food in a comfortable setting. Overall, a satisfying dining experience!

Banchan

Love their 2 item combo deal- Steamed Pork (bossam) and seafood tofu stew. They provide a bunch of banchan sides for the table, which was perfect to add to my pork wraps. It was a huge portion and perfect for sharing. Everything was so good, the generous steamed pork and banchan variety was so satisfying!

I had a great experience at Mindeulle! I came across this restaurant on TikTok and decided to give it a try, and I'm glad I did. The restaurant is spacious, and the service was attentive. I've been craving bossam, so I ordered the bossam combo with the spicy seafood tofu soup. The tofu soup was okay, but the bossam platter was AMAZING! My friend and I shared everything and were completely stuffed with leftovers to take home. I think the combo could easily feed three people. The restaurant also gave us a variety of banchan, and who doesn't love a table full of banchan haha. The generous portions and variety definitely made the meal feel worth it. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and would definitely come back for the bossam!

Steamed Pork

One of my favorite restaurants in Chino Hills! It's so good that I ended up eating here three times in one week. Every dish I've tried has been delicious, but some of my personal favorites are the steamed pork, cold noodles, & braised beef short ribs. The flavors are authentic, the ingredients are fresh, & everything is prepared with care. What really sets this place apart is the customer service. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making every visit a great experience. It's clear they genuinely care about their customers. Whether you're craving comforting Korean classics or looking to try something new, you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Highly recommend!

This place used to be Rubio's, great to see how they transformed it into this restaurant. It is clean and there is plenty of seating. There are multiple people working and they are quite nice. When you are seated they give you a pitcher of water and a pitcher of hot tea. The chopsticks and spoons they have are stored on the side. My beloved aunt treated me for my first experience. They have such a big menu, I cant wait to try some of the other items. They have SO many different ban chans, at least 7 different kinds that alternate. My cousin said the last time they had japchae but it seemed this time we got eggplant. We tried the Steamed Pork Combo with the Seafood Tofu Soup. They do have purple rice. This was my first time wrapping with NAPA and it was actually quite good. I would recommend ordering the Samjang sauce (bean sauce) to eat with it. For 2 people this was more then enough food, I was so stuffed, we barely finished. Would love to take my family and try some other dishes next time. Until then!

There's something incredibly satisfying about finding a solid Korean spot close to home, and Mindeulle Korean Restaurant absolutely delivered. I went with two classics I always judge a Korean kitchen by: mul naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles) and the short rib combo. The naengmyeon arrived beautifully chilled, the broth icy and clean with a balanced tang and subtle heat that didn't overpower. The noodles had that perfect chewy elasticity -- exactly what you want. Refreshing, sharp, and deeply comforting all at once. The short ribs were served sizzling on a hot plate, caramelized at the edges with a savory-sweet marinade that penetrated the meat. Tender without being overly fatty, and paired perfectly with the multigrain rice. Each bite had that smoky depth you hope for in a well-executed galbi. The banchan spread was fresh and thoughtfully prepared -- bright kimchi, seasoned greens, and small sides that complemented rather than distracted. Nothing felt rushed or careless. Service was warm and efficient, and the overall experience felt polished yet comforting -- the kind of place that satisfies both cravings and standards. Safe to say I'll be back to work my way through more of the menu.

Dumpling Soup

We visited on a Tuesday evening and it wasn't really that busy. A few more parties coming in after 6pm! Restaurant is also very spacious. I like how the servers here are older Korean ladies, so it feels more welcoming and authentic here. We ordered Yuk Gae Jang, Dumpling Soup, and the Octopus Bibimbap around. Portion sizes are actually pretty big. The prices here are also a lot higher than many tofu houses I've seen, probably because they give a lot more for a dish? I mainly had the dumpling soup and it was pretty good! I was getting mildly sick, so this was quite soothing for throat. Dumplings were also pretty huge, and pretty good! Although, I wish it came with noodles like the Yuk Gae Jang. I did like how there were pieces of beef in mines. The octopus bibimbap was also pretty good, the octopus sizes are thick! The banchan was also pretty fresh. Overall, food and service were all pretty good. Prices are still kinda high for what it is, but pretty legit Korean food in the Chino Hills area.

All the sides were tasty!

Great service, plenty of parking available. The staff were very accommodating and the food was amazing! So happy to have authentic Korean food nearby. Got the chicken ginseng soup and it tastes home cooked. Definitely will be coming back. The leek pancake was so crispy and delicious and highly recommend great flavors all around. The sides were pretty tasty too and everything tasted freshly prepped and not day old. Look forward to coming back to try out their other dishes. If you're in the area, 100/10 recommend for individuals or groups as there is plenty of seating available and the restaurant and restroom are very tidy. They offer other popular Korean dishes as well such as pork belly or galbi. I saw large portions of kimchi and meat as well and I'm so happy to have some yummy Korean food in the inland empire. Conveniently located across from outdoor shoppes so you can even go for a walk or grab a coffee or tea drink across the street. We went on a weekday during opening hours for a quick lunch and the wait was not long at all. The food came out quickly and it was steaming hot and aromatic. The cashier was very friendly and welcoming and overall seem like a happy staff and that's how I can tell they are a good establishment.

Bossam

Happy to say Mindeulle is still one of my favorite Korean restaurants in the IE and a strong contender against many spots I've tried in OC. I've brought several friends who are avid Korean food lovers and it's a hit every time. On this visit, I finally tried their bossam and it more than satisfied my cravings. The pork was cooked perfectly, and their radish kimchi was easily one of the best I've had. We also ordered the braised black cod (one of my go-to dishes here and always a standout). Their banchan is made fresh and rotates seasonally but it's consistently impressive. You can truly taste the care in every bite. I also love that they serve purple rice. Service on this visit was spectacular they were especially generous with the sides. The ambiance is cozy, well-lit, and clean. Very authentic, very comforting.

the bossam was flavorful and great portion size for 2-3 people! the tofu soup and spicy noodles soup was also so good. service was good, and fast! get the purple rice!

I had a wonderful time at Mindeulle. There's plenty of parking spots in this area and this place was filled by lunch time. I'll be honest, I was not expecting an amazing, authentic Korean restaurant here. My parents-in-law (Korean) ordered spicy soup with pollack hot pot and marinated beef (bulgogi). The soup was well seasoned with spices and the meat was well prepared. Service by the ahjummas we great.

Galbi and some banchan
Elaine Y.

Came to Mindeulle and really enjoyed the experience! It seems like they specialize in much larger portions which fits the Korean bill of social eating so come with a large party. My favorite of the night was probably the bossam. The pork was crisp but tender and I liked all the traditional fixings like steamed cabbage, sliced jalapeños, sliced garlic, and perilla leaves. Everything was fresh and paired well together. I do wish the cabbage leaves were bigger though. I did also appreciate the experience of trying the raw marinated crab. The tomalley mixed with rice, seaweed, toasted sesame, and sesame oil was...mmm, chef's kiss! The texture of the crab was also deliciously creamy with a fresh brininess but I wish they had cracked more parts of the crab to facilitate eating it. I also really enjoyed the mix of banchan - some were really unique like the clam miso marinated cucumber or the tempura eggplant. Others were just classic and delicious like the marinated bean sprouts, marinated spinach and kimchi. I would definitely welcome a return whenever I'm in Chino Hills!

I cannot handle spicy food due to stomach condition. What are my options here for dinner?

They does modify the spiciness unless the sauce is pre cooked. My friend was satisfied with her non spicy stew.😋

What are the lunch specials?

Is there any vegetarian options or anything that can be made vegetarian? I want to take my mom but she gets uncomfortable when I can't eat with her 😭

The beef was tender, flavorful, and came with a really tasty sauce. We actually liked it so much that we ordered another portion! We also tried the octopus stone pot bibimbap, Korean pancake, royal beef short ribs, cold noodles, and fried tofu. Everything was flavorful, and the cold noodles were especially refreshing after all the hot dishes. I had been here before when we were living in the LA area, so coming back after some time away made the meal feel a little more special. Sometimes it's nice to revisit a familiar restaurant and realize you still enjoy the food just as much. Overall, a great spot for Korean food in Chino Hills. I'd definitely come back again.

Basically a pot of instant ramen with a few sad slices of sausage, some Spam, a couple pieces of tofu, and some questionable ground meat that tasted kinda off. That's it. The broth wasn't even good. Like, what exactly are people hyping up? The Galbi Jjim was just as bad. The beef ribs clearly weren't braised long enough. The meat wasn't tender at all, and the tissue was still tough and chewy. I've literally made better at home. And don't even get me started on the service. When we arrived for our reservation, one male staff member couldn't even be bothered to look at us or acknowledge us. We told him we had a reservation, and he just walked away. Like... seriously? The female staff member was at least somewhat nice, but that's about the only good thing I can say. We got there at 6:30 PM, and by 7:30 PM, they were already rushing us to pay. We were literally still eating and chatting, with more than half the food still on the table. We asked for side dish refills and water multiple times, and nobody bothered to bring them. TWO HOURS there, and we only got ONE glass of water per person. I'm not even kidding. And people actually compare this place to Sun Nong Dan? Please. If you're craving galbi jjim, just go to Sun Nong Dan. Don't waste your appetite, your calories, or your money here.

Along with that, the sides are so delicious and even when they were super busy, they always noticed when we were out of sides and gave us new ones almost immediately. The only downside to this location is how busy they get. If you're there during their busy times, be prepared to wait for at least 45-70 minutes. But it's so worth it on a cold California day.

Customer service was good as our server and other employees checked on us frequently. If we asked them for side dishes they brought them promptly. However an experience with a particular employee ticked me off. At the end of our meal we asked if we could take the leftovers and he said they didn't do that here. I asked about the policy on the tablet that indicated you get charged $5 for leftover meat. I mistakenly thought we could take it home because of that and asked the employee about it, citing the tablet. He ignored my question and just said sorry, we couldn't take the leftovers. All he had to say was that the tablet policy indicates you pay for it, but can't take it home. Blatantly ignoring me and turning to my aunt to finish closing out the check and just saying "sorry" didn't answer my question! Ambiance: Furniture is nice and modern, but the AC wasn't working (or no AC at all in general, just fans?) in triple degree heat on 8/23/26 at 4:15pm. Add that on top of cooking meat on grills directly in front of you, and it's practically a sauna. If you have a restaurant like this in Southern California you should prioritize AC!
