Saw this place inside the supermarket. Always crowded with mostly Korean people during meal time. Found out that they cook homey style food. Light on salt and spices. Quite healthy. Good portion, decent price. Like a hidden game for elders, especially the golfers. Service might be awhile when it's crowded during dinner time. Looks like auntie Mimi is the main and mostly solo chef in the kitchen. Nice addition of Korean cuisine in the neighborhood. Support local businesses.

Food was great! You could immediately tell it was going to be good from the kimchi and banchan. There's not a huge variety of banchan, but everything tasted good.. so in that regard I'd rather have quality over quantity. I ordered the seolleongtang - omg it hit the spot and was exactly what I needed today. The meat was also very tender and flavorful. Note- I like more natural flavors and usually don't like over seasoned foods so keep that in mind. They also have salt on the side if you need more seasoning. The person working reminded me of a nice auntie so I'd say service was good. And this was just a place I stumbled across in a super market. It's obviously not a fancy spot in terms of ambiance, but it's clean and portioned off from the rest of the super market so it's well designed and has good space. Would come back!

Before main menu Very delicious Side dishes

Very dilicious!!!!! And The servers are also calm and very kind. Also I think the variety of side dishes are foods that help you stay healthy.

Tucked in a corner of a Korean supermarket, Mimi Noodle is homey and felt like I entered my Korean auntie's kitchen. The staff's English isn't that great but it adds to the authenticity. I ordered dumplings and they were so big and filling I had to eat them in two meals. The banchan was also delicious and fresh. I would definitely visit again.

Came here for a quick meal while charging my Tesla. This restaurant is located in the Hannam Market right as you walk in. Place is well maintained, clean and staff is super friendly. With the recommendation from the server I ordered the Seolleongtang and was quickly seated. The server also brought out some complimentary side dishes and a bowl of rice. The soup came out piping hot. I was instructed to add my own salt to preference (which I like). Meat was perfectly tender and the noodle was delicious. Cleared everything including the side dishes. Highly recommend coming to this restaurant and giving it a try.

    Banchan

Honestly so good! Feels really authentic and has big portions. I don't think the workers speak English but the service was still really good. Def coming back to try something else.

Best authentic Korean food. The ahjummas will take care of you. Portions are not huge like some restaurants, but good amount if you don't want to take home leftovers. Bonchon is generous and tasty. Everything is freshly made in this little corner of Han Nam Chain market.

Amazing service, fresh authentic korean comfort food. Cold noodles, seafood noodles, beef rib soup, stone bowl bibimbap and mandu were all good. Inside of the korean market. Good spot for a quick bite

This is a great spot to stop by after grocery shopping! It was so convenient since we didn't have to drive to another restaurant. The food portions were huge for such a reasonable price, we even had leftovers to take home and enjoy the next day. The food was delicious. I wasn't planning to order dumplings, but after seeing another table enjoy them, I couldn't resist! The server mentioned they make them by hand, not from other manufacturers, which made them even better. The staff was very kind and generous and gave great recommendations, especially with so many tempting options on the menu. Overall, it was an easy, convenient, and great experience. Plus, we were able to grab some bakery items and coffee inside the market before heading home!

Tried this new Korean noodle spot and wow... so good! The first time I went, I got the Noodle Soup with Perilla Seeds (Deulkkae Kalguksu 들깨 칼국수) and my husband had the Spicy Beef Brisket Noodle Soup (Spicy Kalguksu 얼큰차돌칼국수) - his was nice and spicy, mine was super thick, creamy, and comforting. We also shared their house-made steamed dumplings. Omg, say less. The second time, I went by myself because I was craving Kong Guksu during the hot weather...and of course, had to get their LA galbi! The portions are HUGE (come hungry!) and they give you so many banchans. There's a big variety of dishes, so it's perfect for families or groups of friends. Love that it's inside the Hannam chain - tons of parking and easy to get to. Definitely our new go-to for Korean home food without driving to Rowland!

Came here with a large party (around 16!) for lunch and the ahjumma (아줌마) was amazing! She arranged the tables so that our large party could all sit together, served all of our food quickly, and constantly checked on us to make sure we had enough banchan and water. Very kind and attentive service! I ordered the noodle soup with kimchi (김치칼국수) and was met with a large bowl of yummy, hearty noodle soup, which was a pretty big portion considering the price! They have a lot of different menu Korean comfort options that I want to check out for a good price, so I'll definitely be back!

I feel that I went to koreatown for this food yet it was only 5mins away from me. Service was quick by ajumma and feels cozy as you're eating in the corner of the super market. Yum yum yum!!!

Seollongtang and Kalguksu were both so delicious and rich. Only downside is there were only 4 banchans

The parking lot had an interesting shape but it wasn't hard for us to find parking. We were seated quickly and we ordered a variety of foods. I had the Crispy Pares, my partner got the the Beef Pares and my in-laws split the Lechon and Sisig. We also tried their Calamansi and Mango juices and a Halo Halo for dessert. Overall, it wasn't bad but nothing here really stood out to me. If I'm honest, the home cooking of my in-laws (who are Filipino from the Philippines) tastes better. For me, the beef broth was super oily and the garlic rice smelled like garlic but didn't taste like anything. The crispy pork was both super crunchy (which I like) but also tough (the meat that is). I don't try the Sisig but I could hear my MIL muttering in Tagalog and I'm pretty sure thy were not kind words about the Sisig's flavor. Maybe the best items would have been in the overload upgrade but none of us were starving that we felt the need to try it out. Maybe next time? The juices were good though but the Halo Halo was a bit sad. It was like 92% ice cream, 4% rice crispy and corn flakes on top, 3% shaved ice, and 1% "other." I don't recall seeing any jellies, beans or fruit (though my partner said he saw ONE jelly. Last, I recognize this is a small family business and I support small businesses but as we say there eating, a few other tables exited and none of their tables were ever cleaned. It didn't really affect us but I was surprised that the staff was just chatting and on their phones for about 20 minutes and not bussing or clearing tables. It was slow at the time (as we were the last diners) but it was also kind of gross and as we were on our way out, I saw another group enter.

The place itself is small, bright and clean, but I don't know what it is about all the Boiling Points I've been to, but service is their weakpoint. While they're all friendly and helpful when they get to you, it's getting their attention in the first place that seems to be an issue. All the locations also just seem slow in cleaning tables or getting a good turnaround for guests. It's the same issues we've noticed at other BP locations like the Gardena one that it seems intentional. Food wise, it's a good amount of food and like anywhere else, prices continue to go up. With each dish, you get a choice of spiciness levels and rice or noodles to go with your dish. There's also an assortment of dipping sauces for you to use, I like to combine all three to make a nice dip. Take your time to eat, they can add more broth to your pot if you're running low or even replenish your flame if it dies out during your meal. Or if it's too hot, you can always ask them to turn off the flame for you. It depends what you like or are craving, my personal favorites are the beef, lamb, milk cream curry, and Japanese miso. It's an okay location, not my favorite, but we were craving hot pot that night.

When I'd inquired about the boba. Staff honestly told me that they needed 15 additional minutes to prepare the boba. I brightly waited. All in all, after the 15 minute wait, the drink took an additional 10 minutes before being ready. As mentioned, I ordered the Boba Bear Set ($8.50). CUTE!!! It's a very aesthetic and memorable presentation. The boba pearls came perfect; they're bouncy, perky, and playful. The brown sugar milk tea mixed with the caramel foam tasted honey-like. It's very TASTY! My biggest nitpick is that the amount felt tiny. Still, it's a wonderful memory that I'm so happy to experience! On ambiance, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) is comfortable and clean. There's about 13 interior tables, and there's six patio tables. The music is slow-tempo, and the tall ceiling made it feel spacious. In addition, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) has utility. The crepe had egg, crispy chip, lettuce, tomatoes, pickled veggies and hot dog sausage. The lettuce and tomato was an interesting addition that did not add to the flavor, I felt like it did not belong in this crepe. Although it lacks the usual saltiness & oiliness of traditional Filipino food, it felt health conscious with comforting textures. The ingredients tasted clean. The Longsilog's sausage had the familiar sweetness of the Longanisa, but it felt more comparable to a meatball/meatloaf version. The Pansit also had the wetness and length of the usual dish, but it tasted muted. Still, the food felt well-intentioned and filling.
