Interior and exterior design is very nice. The skewers were good albeit inconsistent. Sometimes they came out nice and hot, sometimes just warm, sometimes seasoned perfectly, sometimes leaves some to be desired. Nothing special with the service, but nothing terrible either. This location feels more spacious than the hacienda one.
I've been here several times now, and it's easily one of my favorite skewer spots. Everything I've ordered has been seasoned really well and packed with flavor. My favorites are the lamb, squid legs, beef, and potato skewers. The cucumber salad is also a must order! The wine shots are fun, tasty, and a great addition to the meal. Ordering is done through an iPad, which makes the process easy, and it's also simple to flag down a server whenever you need something. The interior is beautifully decorated and really transports you to an old Chinese atmosphere, making the dining experience feel even more authentic.
Tried Little Skewer for the first time and it definitely lived up to the hype. The skewers were freshly grilled, well-seasoned, and had that smoky charcoal flavor. Loveee the chicken skin! We also ordered the cucumber salad (highly recommended!), grilled garlic chives, and kaolengmian, which were all surprisingly good and helped balance out the heavier meats. Prices were reasonable for the portion sizes, and the atmosphere was lively. You can call the service via the buttons at your table. They also have live music. Great atmosphere. I'd come back again.

They were packed with so much flavor and had a nice kick to it! We also got the beef, pork belly, squid legs, and chicken skin skewers. All were delicious and well seasoned. The quantity they sell them in is high, but the meat pieces are pretty small so it makes sense. My absolute favorites were the beef, which was slightly sweet, and the chicken skin, which was sooo crispy and also with a slightly sweet flavor to it. I would definitely come back here and it seems really fun with a bigger group!
Little Skewer is a Chinese restaurant serving barbecue skewers with multiple locations across Southern California. This location is tucked in a small plaza in Diamond Bar and has an old school interior reminding me of old Chinese dramas. We arrived right when they opened for lunch and were seated immediately. We ordered our food through the tablet which was quick and convenient. POPCORN CHICKEN ($13.99) - this was pricier than I'm used to but the portion size was also bigger. It was crispy and I couldn't tell if there was spice or not or if it was just lingering from the other dishes. 4/5 KUNG FU CORN ($7.59) - this was slightly spicy but it was not crunchy like I'd normally expect. It had a chewy texture which I wasn't the biggest fan of. 3/5 POTATO TORNADO ($5.59) - the potato was crispy and I liked the chili powder. 4/5 GRILLED SCALLOPS ($7.58 for 2) - this reminded me of dishes you'd see at Chinese banquets between the noodles and the flavor. The sauce was garlicky and this was one of our favorite things. 5/5 LAMB ($10.49) / PREMIUM MARBLED BEEF ($9.99) - these were good. 4/5 CHICKEN SKIN ($7.99) - these were crispy, sweet, and spicy. It reminded me of chicharron but sweet. I liked these, but just a note that they are not good as leftovers as they were hard and chewy. 3.5/5 PORK BELLY ($9.99) - some of the skewers had more fat than others which meant they also had less meat. The flavor was similar to the others though. 4/5 KING OYSTER MUSHROOM ($7.99) - these were really good! We loved the flavor of the sweet chili sauce that was different from the seasoning of all the other meats. This was definitely my favorite of the skewers. 5/5 Don't worry that some of the skewers come in large quantities because they're small portions. The food wasn't crazy spicy but it accumulated as we ate and it had a lingering spice throughout the meal. There's also a karaoke machine that adds to the lively vibe, especially on weekends. I can see this being a really fun place to go with a large group.
Wow! Fun drinks, fun atmosphere, and delightful skewers! I felt like I truly couldn't stop eating skewer after skewer and there were a few that pleasantly surprised me! So of course the lamb and beef were as perfect as you'd expect but their mushroom and potatoes were just as delicious! Can't wait to go back to explore more.
We ordered lamb and beef skewers, golden pot soup, and grilled scallo w vermicelli. No complaints. The skewers were adequately seasoned and tender. Scallops were properly cooked. The sweet and sour flavor of the golden pot was a great comfort food and complement to the skewers. No issues with service. Reasonably priced. They put extra effort into a regal traditional ambience.
It was my first time having skewers and when i tell you i fell in love with this place. Not only is this place super cute with the traditional Chinese interior, the food tasted authentic too. We got the pork belly, lamb and chicken skin and to my surprise all 3 were so good it's literally so hard to choose a favorite. I think we had the PERFECT mix of flavors though with these 3 choices. we had a corn cheese (heavenly) too which i liked to wrap around the skewer sometimes. This was enough to feed my female friend and i. I enjoyed it so much i kept recommending it to my family and friends and even bf so i could have it again ASAP
The little skewers truly are little ~ the 20 Lamb skewers were about the size of my pinky for each one, which did mean the meat was more charred and definitely thoroughly cooked. I placed an order online for a specific time to pick up before I drove from Alhambra and once I arrived, discovered an email that they had been ready for over 20 mins bc my order was ultimately fulfilled for the "ASAP" time instead of the time I knew I'd be arriving due to the drive length, so they weren't fresh off the grill and a little lukewarm but still enjoyable
Home of the tastiest Chinese BBQ skewers I've ever had! My go-to order never changes: Squid Legs, Marbled Beef, Pork Belly, and King Oyster Mushroom - all packed with seasoning! The Cucumber Salad is refreshing and balances out the meat-heavy lineup. The Roasted Fat Beef & Eggplant is unctuous and savory. We like the Golden Pot too for its bright and tangy broth. It even comes with free unlimited broth refills. The only downside? I wish they'd bring back the Durian Pizza! One thing that sets this place apart is the ordering system. If you're not big on interacting with staff, you'll appreciate the tablet - just tap what you want and it goes straight to the kitchen. Need anything else? There's a call button at the table. The service isn't really warm or chatty, but it's efficient and gets the job done. I'm always impressed by the interior's rustic charm. The ornate and festive decor looks warm and inviting, making this spot perfect for sharing plates, hanging out, and lingering conversations. Bonus: there's even karaoke for anyone ready to sing their heart out! The crowd loves to hoot and holler for those brave souls, no matter how in or out of tune they are. Excellent food and ambiance! I like how the skewers are pre-cooked which saves a lot of time compared to cooking them yourself. The soups are refillable (broth) which is awesome! I like ordering one for the table to accompany all the meat skewers. You can also add ingredients to the soup to make them go further.
I would have still put 5 stars, but I want the restaurant to look at this review. Please bring back the previous eggplant beef dish! The new one isn't any good and looks.. just bad. Lol. we've brought many friends here and the old eggplant beef dish was always impressive to them, this new one.. well look at the photo !
Came here on a Saturday afternoon right when they opened. == FOOD == We got some pork belly skewers, boneless beef skewers, a potato skewer, garlic enoki mushrooms, 2 chicken wing skewers, 1 lamb skewer, and 2 beers (BOGO event). Food was very good, the pork belly was pretty filling, and the garlic enoki mushrooms were sooo delicious. Everything was seasoned very well. == SERVICE == You order on an ipad and the workers bring out the food for you. It's kept warm on a heated plate while you eat the other skewers. == AMBIANCE == It feels like you're transported to China when you step inside Little Skewer. The decoration inside is beautiful. It seems that at night, there are also singers or performances since there is a mic at the corner of the room.

Little Skewers was such a good spot! The food came out hot and flavorful, and everything we ordered was really enjoyable. The skewers were well seasoned and had a nice crispy texture, and I also really liked the enoki mushrooms and cheesy dish. The ambiance was nice and casual, which made it a great place to sit, eat, and hang out with friends. The service was also really friendly and attentive. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely come back to try more of the menu! read more
This place doesn't take reservations, and the line is always long! I waited almost two hours on a Saturday evening for a party of four. It was VERY loud inside - turns out they had an entertainer named Adam who would sing Chinese and English songs. You could pay $20 for a song request. You order everything on the tablet. There is a call button on each table to get service. The skewers are good but tiny portions. What's really good here is the chicken wing! I also really like their malatang and golden soup. The meat in the soups is fatty though. Credit card accepted. Plenty of parking. Bathroom in the back. read more

One star for two reasons. First, the meat served was incredibly thin--so thin, in fact, that it was baffling how they even managed to skewer it. Naturally, it was dry and completely lacked juiciness. Second, I had expected to grill the skewers on a grate at the table while chatting and enjoying the meal, but instead, the kitchen grilled everything at once and served it all at once. Because the paper-thin meat was pre-cooked and served this way, it inevitably turned cold, dry, and devoid of juice. I had gone there hoping for a pleasant time sharing a meal and conversation with my family, but seeing the cold, dried-out food was truly disappointing. I will never go back. read more

This place is so cool. There was a little waiting but inside was packed, obviously it was a Friday evening. I went there at before 7pm, trying to avoid the crowd. When we got in there's olden decorations with pictures and seats and chairs in wood. Cool vibes right? The food was mostly towards the spicy side, I had to keep drinking iced water lol. We ordered a mixed of beef, lamb, octopus and shrimp skewers and chicken wings, all came in with mild to medium spiciness , including the cucumber salad. We also ordered steamed scallops and oyster and cheesy corn. These were not spicy, luckily For those spicy enthusiasts you should come n check it out ~! We enjoyed it with our Soju and hot tea. Pro tip: make a reservation. The wait can get long. We didn't know and ended up waiting about an hour and a half for a table of three. Service was just okay--not particularly friendly or attentive, but nothing terrible either. They got the job done. The food is where this place shines. The skewers were really tasty, and I liked that you could choose your spice level. Everything comes out piping hot, so be careful, but it tasted fresh and well-prepared. The space is cozy and has a more intimate vibe, which I liked. Overall, I'd come back--just with a reservation next time. read more

I've heard good things about this place and it does live up the the hype. it got busy on a random weekday but there's a waitlist. Food was so good ! and service was quick like they're use to turning over tables. And the food was reasonably priced. Great place to go grab a drink or eat soup on a cold day read more
BUS . I tried this restaurant up in NorCal in Fremont and was excited to see they had locations in SoCal! This place Isnt your tradition skewer place in the sense that you don't grill it, but everything is already cooked for you. All the skewers are so yummy and they all taste very different. I'd HIGHLY recommend getting the chicken skin, squid legs, and beef belly. Those are definitely the highlights. Service was fast and helpful, and I enjoyed that there was a drawer built in the table with extra napkins and utensils. The decor is quite stunning and very cute! Although I didn't drink, this place seems to be a popular spot to drink with friends as they sell large amounts of shots for a reasonable price. Overall very good and I'd definitely come back! read more

Went to the one in Hacienda Heights, loved it so much and was glad to have found a sister restaurant in Diamond Bar. This review is for the one in Diamond Bar. Wow, this one is much better looking than the one in Hacienda Heights. Feels like you walk into a Chinese restaurant you see from Kung Fu movies. The decor is breath taking. Loved the decors. You order the foods from their iPad tablet. Ordering is very simple, see what you like, just add to your order. Suggestion, do not order everything at once, order a few items, submit it. They will bring them out shortly. Once you are about done with the current foods, order more items, this way, your foods come out fresh and hot. If you order everything at once, the foods will sit there and gets cold. The warmer thing doesn't keep the food hot. I like my water cold. The water from the kettle is not cold at all. Ask them to add ice if you prefer your water cold. We ordered the followings: - Tornado Potato (so good, one of our favorites here) - Butter Pancake (it was ok, kinda bland) - Grilled Egg Crepe (didn't like it so much) - Steaky Lamb (very good) - Premium Marbled Beef Skewers (oh, so tasty and yummy, another favorite) - Beef Aorta (was interesting, didn't know it was artery, not bad though) - Lamb Skewers (this was really good, it came with 20 skewers) Oh, forgot to mention, when we were there, we saw they had a Karaoke area. That was interesting. Not sure if you just go up and start singing or you have to order it from the iPad tablet. Not sure if it's a daily thing, or only on Friday, or on weekends. Will definitely be back to try different skewers. PS. Besides the skewers, they also have hot pots and lots of alcohols. read more

Service was mid but the skewers were tasty and a pretty good deal for the price. They are called Little Skewers for a reason and now I really understand why. They also had way more side dishes than actual meat options, which is great if that is what you want, but I really wish they had more options for skewers! read more
Many seats for waiting. Uses chowbus and text for waiting list. Waiting times could be up to an hour from our experience. Skewers were good and had enough seasoning and pairs perfectly with a couple of drinks. Love how this can be a dinner spot after work to chill and hang with friends. They also have live music occasionally and/or music playing from the small stage they have. Noticed they have small private rooms for groups bigger than 4 near the entrance as well. read more
Always a great and yummy experience at Little Skewers, this one seems to be a lot less crowded than the ones in the SGV area. The golden soup hotpot is good (love the sourness to the soup btw and they will refill the soup at your request).. the grilled scallop is good.. chicken skin skewer is BOMB, also recommend you get the classics like beef and lamb. You gotta get the cheese corn as well. Highly recommend coming here. Nice serving size for the cucumber salad as well (unlike Din Tai Fung, but just as good if not better) for your fiber needs. It's also known for drinking if that's your thing, which the skewers compliment very well. Imagine having a beer with a side of chicken skin skewers.. yum. Well you don't have to imagine if you just come here and see for yourself :D Cheers! read more
Great drinking spot. I love that they sell skewers in sets of 10--makes it really easy to share and try a variety of dishes (family style). They also have similar group offerings for drinks (tea, which they sell by the pot, and alcohol mostly). I found the experience unique, fun, and memorable. The decor inside is also very Chinese and quaint. Service was fast and courteous. Regarding the food, my favorite was the oyster mushroom. The corn cheese and enoki mushrooms were a bit salty, and tofu skin was a bit plain. They use the same seasonings for all the skewers so as long as you like it, you're in for a treat. read more

Came here for an early dinner at 5:30pm, it does get pretty full towards 6pm! The restaurant is a tad small, but the interior and decor here takes you to another world. Can be very lively later in the night. We ordered a variety of things, lamb, beef skewers, sliced cucumbers, squid, ma la tang pot, and golden pot. Honestly the overall meal was okay, but the most annoying part were the beef skewers. The beef portions were very small, and they stick to the skewer stick. You really have to pull sooo hard for it to come off. I just gave up eating the beef skewers cause they were too annoying for me lol. The lamb seemed to be fine. The cucumbers were nice and fresh. The ma la tang wasn't spicy, but wasn't really anything special. I did like the golden soup more because it had a nice contrast. It's more sour(?) too in a good way. Overall, some items were a hit and miss. The interior sticks to the theme; however the chairs are kinda uncomfortable cause they're so hard lol. Also they're kind of sticky. We only came 30 mins after opening, and the chairs don't feel that great. Service was average. At least food came in a timely manner. read more
An amazing belated bday lunch with my friend. Everything is cooked in the kitchen and brought out to you. We enjoyed: - Jasmine tea - Surf clams (served chilled in a gyojah / mustart sauce) - Squid legs (Excellent) - Lychee Fish balls (SO DELISH) - Cucumber salad (The Best in SoCal!!!) - Enoki mushrooms in garlic, butter, a hint of vinegar - Grilled HUGE oyster (2); each oyster was cooked to perfection and so big, mine took 4-5 bites to eat - Vermicelli noodles (we added the left over sauce from the surf clams) - Pork / Chive / Shrimp boiled dumplings with a vinegar/sweet dipping sauce Some items were meh or pretty bad: - Fatty beef skewers (too tough to eat, do not order) - Scallop with vermicelli (scallop was too tiny) Lunch for two came out to about $100 + tax and tip. You will leave full. Service was pretty solid. The decor is really amazing like an old time Chinese neighborhood bar. been here a few times & i gotta say this location is much better than hacienda overall skewers r placed over a warming plate when they arrive @our table ~ my fav is their chinese cauliflower dark stinkin tofu is also yumz when served hot cucumbers have a good taste but i feel they can b marinated bit longer everybody besides myself tried & liked their pork & leek dumplings ~ i personally dont eat leek so i didnt try they serve beers by da pint or pitcher + they have large bottles of sake or other types of shots i like da decor/ambience of this place ~ wished they were open during lunch, like their other locations read more

Be hungry but also be ready to wait... Little skewer offers authentic Chinese bbq style Xi'an or maybe Shaokao (I'm guessing pardon me if I'm wrong but this is what it reminds me of from being a kid growing up around amazing Asian cuisine). No matter what you get I feel every table should have the cucumbers at the table. I really enjoy this local gem... Before finding this place I would drive all the way to Monterey Park for my bbq. I absolutely love Little Skewers, their food is perfect and very great amount for the price. Perfectly seasoned every time, and a plethora of food to choose from to satisfy your palate. The service is immaculate with their button system if you need waters or a server to come over, which is seamless for moments where you don't need much help. Lastly the ambiance was pristine, love the dim seating, and the napkins hanging overhead that matches the interior really well. The waiting area is small but well spaced enough. I love this place. Everything was so good. The flavor was amazing. So many things to try for everyone. It's good for group setting so you can order a lot of variety to try. I got the following: garlic enoki mushroom, grilled scallop, chicken skin skewers, premium marbled beef skewers, sizzling squid, kung fu corn, grilled oysters, and rice noodles in razor clam bone soup. They were all good. My favorites were probably the garlic enoki mushroom, grilled scallop, chicken skin skewers, and rice noodles in razor clam bone soup. This place is a must try! read more
