    Soy Milk!
    Daniel K.

Tasty Chinese breakfast in diamond bar. Really reminds me of the small breakfast cafes in China. We got the soy milk, deep fried twist, jellied bean curd and xiao long bao. Delicious and filling. The pork xiao long bao dumplings were my favorite with the chili oil and vinegar.

It's my first time at this restaurant. It is located in a not so busy part of the plaza. So there are plenty of parking spaces. The restaurant is small. There are only six tables for dining in. We ordered the pork dumplings with shrimp and chive. They were very good. Five stars for these dumplings. The skin was not too thick. The fillings were delicious. We had the boiled dumplings but you can have it pan fried. We also had the beef rolls. They were delicious as well. Four stars for the beef rolls. The beef if eaten by itself could use more flavor. But when it's wrapped in a roll, the sauce and cilantro make it taste good. We had hot plain soy milk as beverage. It was also good. You can add your own sugar if you like it sweet since the soy milk comes unsweetened. Overall, I was very happy with the food and will be back to try other dishes.

Large soy milk (sorry, I drank some of it before I took the picture. The container was almost full)

This place is a hidden gem! Since stumbling upon it, I've come back three times, each time for breakfast. I would really like to come back to try their lunch, because their lunch and breakfast menus are different. My family and I always order the jellied bean curd soup, soy milk, and and deep fried dough stick (which is like a Chinese fried donut). Soymilk is very rich and sugar-free. The jellied bean curd soup is very homey, which I like. In my family, the small jellied curd soup is enough for two people to share. This eatery is one of the only active shops in the plaza so parking is definitely not an issue. It always has a steady stream of customers in the morning, but most order takeout so finding seating has not been an issue for me. I think the prices are super affordable. This morning, we spent $16.50 on breakfast for three people, and I left stuffed with leftover soymilk and half of a jellied bean curd soup. The cashier also skips the tip option, which is nice. Definitely recommend you check out this place if you're in the area and looking for homey comfort food!

Was in the neighborhood and dropped in for lunch. The bao buns are big and low priced but were on the dry side and also had empty space in the filling area. These need sauce in order to be tasty. The beef noodle soup was big but the beef was low grade and very dry. Hard boiled eggs are overcooked so be ready to see a lot of grey inside. Big portions and low prices make this a popular spot. But this not my preference.

This is the first time I was able to try authentic northeastern Chinese breakfast in California, and it really satisfied my cravings. The food is just like it is back in China and very delicious. The menu is short and simple which is my favorite since that means they specialize in specific foods. Must try for some authentic and delicious Chinese breakfast! The staff are very friendly too.

I ordered two things, the pork and cabbage bun and the spicy beef noodle soup. The bun surprised me with how soft and fluffy it was. The meat filling was sweet and flavorful. Combined with the chili oil provided at the tables, it created a wonderful, comforting experience. Speaking of comfort, the spicy beef noodle soup provided a similar experience. While this is not the best soup I ever had, the soup was still flavorful, and the spices cleared my sinuses. There is plenty of beef on top as well, but I did think more vegetables would of been nice.

Lunch was also amazing! Service is fast and efficient. Decided to come here for lunch one day to try it out. And I have to say the food is just as amazing as breakfast. we got the beef roll and the beef noodle soup. The beef roll was made to order, and was so fresh and delicious. The beef noodle soup is literally one of the best I've had in my life. People always talk about artisan noodles, this place makes her noodles fresh and pulled by hand, and has the perfect bounce and chewiness. Hands-down, some of the perfect noodles I've had. The beef was also cooked perfectly, and just melts in your mouth. The broth is not too thick, but definitely the right amount of flavor. Love the food here, everything is made so fresh, highly recommend!

This is where Duck Palace really earns its name. The skin hits that ideal balance--lightly crisp with a slight lacquered sheen--while the meat underneath stays juicy and flavorful without being overly fatty. It's not trying to be trendy or reinvent anything; it's just done right. The seasoning leans traditional Cantonese--savory, slightly sweet, and aromatic without being heavy-handed. I did not try the supporting dishes, but they had a good variety outside the roast duck. This is where you can tell whether a place is a one-hit wonder or a true kitchen. They had BBQ combo plates, stir-fried dishes, and various sides. Service here is efficient, is part of the charm. You're coming for good food, done well. Best to call in to reserve a duck ahead of time because they will sell out by mid-afternoon. The space itself is clean and straightforward--more casual than upscale--but comfortable enough for both quick meals and relaxed family meals. What I appreciate most about Duck Palace is the consistency. The price is reasonable for what you are paying for and the duck combo meal is enough to feed 2-3 people. Pro tips: - Go earlier in the day if you want the freshest roast selections. - Takeout holds up surprisingly well (the duck skin still has some integrity if you don't let it sit too long). - Great option when you want authentic flavors without driving deeper into the valley. - Discount for paying in cash Bottom line: If you're in Diamond Bar and craving authentic Cantonese roast meats, Duck Palace is a reliable go-to. It may not be flashy, but it delivers where it counts--and sometimes, that's exactly what you want.

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. Do not waste your time or money here…read more The moment we walked into Fu's Restaurant, it felt like stepping into a sauna. It was 79 degrees inside, muggy, humid, and completely uncomfortable. We almost turned around and left immediately. The place was practically empty, which honestly should have been our first red flag. We decided to give them a chance anyway. Big mistake. My colleague and I were offered water or hot tea. We both ordered hot tea. The menu clearly says in English that hot tea is $2.99. Nowhere does it clearly explain in English that you will be charged differently depending on how many people drink it. When the bill came, we were charged $5 each. Apparently, there is some clarification written in Chinese, but how are customers who do not read Chinese supposed to know that? That is completely misleading. The tea portions were not larger, not special, nothing different. Just basic tea. The pricing felt deceptive. We also ordered popcorn chicken and chili wonton soup. Both came out in tiny portions that looked like appetizers, yet the menu does not clearly label them as such. For what we received, paying over $30 total felt ridiculous. The food itself was mediocre at best. Nothing memorable and definitely not worth the price. Because of the uncomfortable temperature, confusing pricing, small portions, and average food, we chose not to leave a tip. As we were walking out, the waiter chased us outside and pressured us about the zero tip. That is completely inappropriate. Tipping is not mandatory. It is earned. Confronting customers outside over a tip is unprofessional and embarrassing. Between the heat, the questionable menu pricing, the small portions, and being confronted outside, this was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time. We will never be back. There are plenty of better places within the same plaza than to dine here. I don't expect this place to last long anyway.

The price point felt very fair, especially with the dumplings coming in at $14.85. Ambiance was casual and clean, jazz music with nice wall art. The food was good, the scallion pancakes were perfect for splitting between us. I also really appreciated the balanced portion control; it felt like just the right amount of food without being overwhelming. We were only ones in the restaurant near end of business on a Sunday night. Service speed was expected as cook to order. Definitely a good spot if you're looking for a simple and reasonable meal in Walnut or near Mt. San Antonio College. FYI photos are of the wall art, food was devoured.
