My mother wanted to go back to Seasons Cafe since she really liked the food from her last visit. This time we ordered pan fried dumplings and buns, boiled dumplings and xlb. The food seemed to be consistent as our last visit. However, I found a bug's leg on my spoon as I was eating... when I got home, I keep burping up heavy msg flavor that I thought it was a one off thing last time. There's only one person serving the food so has to be patient about it. Need to ask them to clean up the table as last party left. Get your own water at the corner. There are pictures of food on the menu items on the wall. It's a hole in a wall kind of place. There seems to be quite a few regulars that like this no frill food. I came to this place on a Saturday morning because I missed the breakfast vibe in China so much. And this place didn't disappoint me at all. The tea egg was flavorful and the fried dough twist was soft inside and crispy outside. My husband and I also ordered the soup dumplings (forgot to take a photo), which was so juicy and perfectly seasoned! If you are looking for good services, this may not be the best place to visit. It's my first time at this restaurant. It is located in a not so busy part of the plaza. So there are plenty of parking spaces. The restaurant is small. There are only six tables for dining in. We ordered the pork dumplings with shrimp and chive. They were very good. Five stars for these dumplings. The skin was not too thick. The fillings were delicious. We had the boiled dumplings but you can have it pan fried. We also had the beef rolls. They were delicious as well. Four stars for the beef rolls. The beef if eaten by itself could use more flavor. But when it's wrapped in a roll, the sauce and cilantro make it taste good. We had hot plain soy milk as beverage. It was also good. You can add your own sugar if you like it sweet since the soy milk comes unsweetened. Overall, I was very happy with the food and will be back to try other dishes. read more

This place is a hidden gem! Since stumbling upon it, I've come back three times, each time for breakfast. I would really like to come back to try their lunch, because their lunch and breakfast menus are different. My family and I always order the jellied bean curd soup, soy milk, and and deep fried dough stick (which is like a Chinese fried donut). Soymilk is very rich and sugar-free. The jellied bean curd soup is very homey, which I like. In my family, the small jellied curd soup is enough for two people to share. This eatery is one of the only active shops in the plaza so parking is definitely not an issue. It always has a steady stream of customers in the morning, but most order takeout so finding seating has not been an issue for me. I think the prices are super affordable. This morning, we spent $16.50 on breakfast for three people, and I left stuffed with leftover soymilk and half of a jellied bean curd soup. The cashier also skips the tip option, which is nice. Was in the neighborhood and dropped in for lunch. The bao buns are big and low priced but were on the dry side and also had empty space in the filling area. These need sauce in order to be tasty. The beef noodle soup was big but the beef was low grade and very dry. Hard boiled eggs are overcooked so be ready to see a lot of grey inside. Big portions and low prices make this a popular spot. There is a lot of different items offer here. I was able to pick up some tea eggs, red bean rice cake, dumplings (boiled and pan-fried), soy milk, and fried dough twists. I thought everything tasted really good and fresh. The soy milk does come with no sugar and in a container. I was thinking it would come in a drink cup. Everyone really enjoy it. They thought it was homemade. Their deep fried dough stick looks extra puffy and yummy. I would come back to get that. It would be perfect with porridge, noodles, or dip in their soy milk. I ordered two things, the pork and cabbage bun and the spicy beef noodle soup. The bun surprised me with how soft and fluffy it was. The meat filling was sweet and flavorful. Combined with the chili oil provided at the tables, it created a wonderful, comforting experience. Speaking of comfort, the spicy beef noodle soup provided a similar experience. While this is not the best soup I ever had, the soup was still flavorful, and the spices cleared my sinuses. There is plenty of beef on top as well, but I did think more vegetables would of been nice. read more

Absolutely delicious authentic northern Chinese food. The whole shop only has large booths/tables, but they aren't super clean. It's very much a traditional Chinese breakfast spot vibe. You pay up front and then they serve you your food. Utensils and water you get yourself. My favorite is the beef roll. It's filled with lots of beef, a delicious sweet & savory flavor, and flaky wrap that isn't too oily. The steamed pork dumplings are better than DlNTAlFUNG. Extra juicy and full of soup and flavor. Also a favorite! The leek pie is delicious, but a bit oily. The pan-fried buns are good, but extra doughy. Flavor is a bit bland, but spot on. The chicken and corn dumplings are super healthy. Good if that's what you want. The fish dumplings and seafood dumplings are exquisite. Large and full of soup. Both are made with chives, so smell is strong. Skin is a bit thick. A hidden gem in Diamond bar. Their Fried Pork Bao is extremely delicious. On top of the fact that they are made freshly daily, there is this special crispy layer on the bottom of the bao. Xiao Long Bao is comparable to Thumbling, Din Tai Fung, and many other known restaurants. The best and must-try in this place is their beef pancake roll. It is indeed the best I have had. Some friends said this place was good, so I tried it twice. To be honest, I won't come back. First of all, they close really early, around 3 PM. One time I came before closing, but they said they were no longer serving. They offer some steamed buns, noodles, tofu pudding, and soy milk. The prices aren't high. The server is a young man. The hygiene conditions felt a bit poor. As for the noodles, there was a lot of meat, and the texture of the noodles was decent, but I wouldn't say it was particularly delicious--just good value for the price. As for the buns, I think they're not as good as those at HMart or in Rowland Heights. Also, some of their items are only available in the morning. No tips are needed. read more

We all agreed these are some of the tastiest in this area, which is saying a lot since there's dumpling places everywhere. Neat appearance, fresh ingredients and freshly prepared. Lee's Noodles House is my latest local secret. It's a hole-in-the-wall kind of spot with only a dozen or so items, a few booths for seating, and very limited hours. Still, if you can catch them while they're in business, it'll be worth your while. They offer many classic Chinese breakfast staples like congee, fried donuts, and soy milk alongside a sizeable offering of various dumplings, buns, and noodle dishes. At the time of my visit, they were completely sold out of fried donuts, but we did get to try their soy milk. Now, I wouldn't consider myself someone whose picky about soy milk, but the soy milk here is done RIGHT. One sip was all I needed to know that they are serious about their soy milk. It's not watered down at all and packed with so much soy flavor. At only $3 a cup, it's a total steal. I'd return just for the soy milk. Their other offerings were just as delicious - and very economical too. Pan-fried dumplings-- an order of these came with a noteworthy fried dumpling skirt. Each dumpling was super juicy on the inside. . Beef noodle soup - Lee's version is a regional version and a bit unique, but one that I loved all the same. Their broth is a milky cream color and packed with white pepper. The beef chunks were fall-apart tender. The overall combination tasted very homey and healing. Beef roll - While the flatbread/pancake that served as the base for the roll was not the crispiest, their beef roll is packed with beef! The order itself was hefty too and comfortably fed the 3 of us and then some. Xiao long bao-- thin skins, packed with soup in each perfect little pouch! My looord, why didn't I find this place earlier. They make really fresh beef rolls - the flakeyness of the wrap, we had to order two! Unfortunately majority of the foods I wanted to order ran out, which is peculiar for a Saturday lunch time. All the staples were not available: beef noodle soup, wontons, frozen bags to go and a few other items I just stopped asking about when he said it was all out. I thought the food was priced just right for the neighborhood it was in, but really too pricy for it being next to Rowland. The beef wrap was $15 each for 8 pieces and the dumplings and were around that price as well. I really liked the crisp potstickers! Came here to try their food after seeing a recommendation post on Facebook. Overall the food is good, priced reasonably and good portion. However, I do think their food is pretty salty for all the items I tried (non-spicy beef noodle soup, pork potsticker, pan-fried pork bun, steamed pork buns, and tofu soup. I normally eat pretty salty already, so I'm sure some people would think it's TOO salty. I do think there's good flavor, but I will like it more if the saltiness is scaled back a little. The gentlemen manning the counter was nice and friendly. And even for dine-ins, you go up to the counter and order food first; it did take longer time than expected to get the food out. I was expecting the noodle would come out first, since the potsticker and pan fried buns take time to cook, but the noodle actually came much much later than the other two. The interior is as stripped-down and simple as it gets, but pretty clean overall. Will I come back again? Yes, I do want to try the beef rolls, dumplings, and a few more items. Forgot to take pics of their xlb but that was honestly the best and the spicy beef noodle soup. Their xlb is very comparable to Din Tai Fung. Their spicy beef noodle soup has a different spice but it's addicting and still enjoyable it had like a slight mala taste but not really idk how to describe it but it's just good. I went with my coworkers during lunch time around 12:30pm and after our order they were sold out of almost everything. So i would suggest coming in early or ordering early over the phone. Came here for lunch and after 3 bites of potstickers I knew I was waking up early tomorrow to come back and try their breakfast. The filling for the potstickers wontons pan fried buns and the beef rolls were all incredible and were easily of the best I've had outside of China. The breakfast they have was also very good I love 豆腐脑 and I thought they made it really well, it had fried mince meat and wood ear mushroom in it and was savory and even better with 油条 dipped in it.
