Tasty Box (different from Tasty Box Dim Sum) are both located at opposite ends of the same plaza. Weird. Tasty Box in Diamond Bar is a solid choice for anyone craving roast duck box lunch. The shop is set up to order, pick up and go. Service is succinct and to the point. :) There's no seating inside but one small table outside for those who cannot wait to dig in. The duck is decent, but don't expect a crispy skin. The ducks are tender, juicy meat that's packed with rich, savory flavor. I think paired with steamed rice and a some cabbage makes the dish full of tastes. The portion size is generous, making it a filling and worthwhile option for lunch. It's $11. I will certainly return. :)

This location (Tasty Box) has a limited menu and there is no indoor seating. You can eat your food at the tables outside, which are shared with neighboring restaurants. If you're looking for a more extensive menu and a sit down experience, go to their other location, Tasty Box HK Bistro, which is on the opposite side of the parking lot by Starbucks. At this location we ordered one pound of crispy pork belly, roasted duck over rice, and char siu with soy sauce chicken over rice. The char siu was okay but the soy sauce chicken was dry. The pork belly skin wasn't as crunchy as I like, but I appreciated that the meat was lean and not too fatty. The roasted duck was good and the best dish we ordered - just be careful because there can be a lot of little bones due to how it was chopped up. Overall, I thought the food was decent. If you're craving for roasted duck and looking for a quick meal, check this place out. Note: There is no restroom available here - the closest restroom is in H Mart.

If you're in the area and crave some Asian bbq, this place was great. I ordered a whole duck and one pound of roast pork. Parking lot is public and there is a ton. It's like an upscale Asian BBQ to-go front. Their duck wasn't oily and it had flavor to it. It was good, but not great in my honest opinion. I love a little oily duck lo at least when it comes to the skin. The roast pork though, that was my favorite and one of the better tasting ones I've had. Yes, better than sam woo from the sgv lol. The only thing was I wished their skin was a little more crispy. I was in the area and had a 45 min drive home, so timing could be the reason why it kind of went soft? Unsure, but that is factored into my decision. Service was good. Fast, to the point, and out with your bbq order in less than 10 minutes.

The ladies are always so nice here. Even during busy times, lines are nothing compared to your typical Chinese restaurant. Setting is a sit down location but more of a cozy fast food shop. Food has always been good.

Mediocre experience. Food was very average, service was nice and fast. Came here for lunch and ordered a few different items to share. The chow mein was super dry and very greasy, lots of noodles but not enough of meat or any vegetables. The pickled vegetables stir fry was also not good, super salty and very greasy. It was super sweet and sour and hard to eat. The siu mai had good flavor but it also very greasy. Service was nice. Parking was easy. Interior was new and clean.

I neeeever leave bad reviews. Let alone reviews in general. But my experience here was horrendous. I walked up on my Lunch break... drawn in by the pictures on the outside window. Im accustomed to eating asian foods of all variety and consider myself an adventurous eater. I ordered something pretty tame this time tho... or so i thought. Duck over rice. It came with boiled cabbage and a tangy sauce. The lady at the counter addressed me in a foreign language when i walked up. Im pretty obviously hispanic so I thought that was funny. Then she addressed me in english. I ordered my food. She was brief and curt. But i came for food not for conversation so whatever i guess. I waited roughly 5-6 mins for my food. Then a younger woman from the back came to the counter while i sat in the lobby and yelled my number and slapped my bag on the counter and walked away. I grabbed my food and went outside to join my coworkers... Upon opening my box i discovered i had cold grey meat over rice. The rice itself was hot and pretty tasty. But the duck was grey... greasy... and COLD. And not to mention i searched through all of it maybe assuming it was touching something cold and the rest of the pieces were hot... I was wrong. The duck was all COLD. Not room temp.. cold. It had many tiny bones in it and it was grey and greasy. Ive had food with bones in it before but places usually disclose to you that it will have bones bc its a choking hazard. This place said nothing at all. Man was i disappointed. Very impersonal service at the counter coupled with terrible 1/10 food... Im never coming here again. That was really unfortunate. That was a waste of 17$

Great service, straight forward menu items and in good ol' HK fashion, they package up your order in lighting speed! First time trying out this BBQ place, husband didn't want to make the drive to Arcadia. This to go place is legit! The layers of meat and marble (fat) from the pork belly is seriously an art form. Just the right amount of crunch with the skin. I don't know of another place that does it so well. We also got half of a steamed chicken and a pound of char siu, both were good, but rather average or on par with other typical offerings nearby. Char siu was on the dryer side, meat was too lean. The ginger and green onion condiment that supposed to be the crack on the steamed chicken was a bit too oily, lacks the intense ginger flavor. They offer mango pudding and taro tapioca desserts, both are delightful to round out the meal. For the fast service, price point, and quality of food, overall I say Tasty Box is clearly above many Chinese restaurants in the area.

This is my go to place for Hong Kong style BBQ. I always get the char siu and roast duck. The char siu is very tasty with a good mix of lean and fatty meat and it comes with plenty of sauce. I normally like the roast duck as well but it was disappointing today. The skin was perfect, the leg and neck pieces tasted fine but the breast pieces all tasted super mushy or over tenderized like you're eating liver. The typical meaty texture was missing. The restaurant is located in a strip mall near a super Hmart and parking is plentiful. Service was quick and you get 5% off if you use cash. Typically, lines are out the door but there were no lines today. I highly recommend the roast pork (char siu) but I don't think I'll get the duck again.

Soy chicken, white rice, and steam cabbage.

Dang, this place is good for some quick cantonese food. I got the soy chicken with rice and steam cabbage. There must have been nine slices of chicken. They were mostly white meat, but it didn't matter. It was moist and delicious. It included a green onion sauce to enhance the flavor if needed. It was just right, imo. Clean atmosphere. The service was on point. The price was reasonable. It's a hole in the wall, so there are no tables inside but tables outside. The best time to go if you can is when they open. I know this place is popular on the weekends. Bottom line. I'm will be back.

Purchased 1.5lb bbq pork today and found out it's only weight 1.139lb when I got home. Such a scam... feels the quality is getting worse.

Char Siu (BBQ Pork) over Rice
    Airi G.

This was some of the best Char Siu (BBQ Pork) that I've had in a while. Every piece was packed with flavor and pretty juicy considering it was a good balance of lean and savory pieces. The sauce from the meat even soaked into the rice so I started eating the rice even without the pork because the flavoring was that good. The Roast Duck over Noodle was also delicious. I loved how springy the noodles were since they separated it in the packaging from the broth. I heated up the soup again and had a beautiful piping hot bowl of noodles with pretty tender duck on top. They also sell pre-made items so I tried out the jellyfish salad and again it was a hit! Sadly, we were fooled because only the top half was jellyfish and the bottom half was cabbage. That said, the cabbage was pickled so nicely and so I ended up loving every bite of this side dish. I also got zongzi, filled with pork belly and egg yolk I think, and steamed it at home. It wasn't bad but considering the price, I don't think I would get it again. I'm also not a huge sweet drink person but I found the Hong Kong Milk Tea to be quite good. Note that this restaurant is only to-go but there is outdoor dining at some nearby tables if you want to eat it immediately.

The braised tofu in brown sauce was consistently hot on the inside. The delicious brown sauce soaked throughout the vegetables. The chicken chow mein didn't have a lot of sauce, but it was still delicious with a lot of meat included.
