You already know these Chinese places are the best. The food here is dope. Lady is nice. And they pack your food til the Styrofoam breaks. The place is nice and clean, but honestly, you can't really beat the food for the price. I got three side dishes and it was only 16 bucks. Check them out. read more

This is one of my favorites in Diamond Bar! They are always so kind and generous with their portions. I always get the BBQ pork and never leave dissatisfied. The staff were even so kind as to allow us to sit and eat, even as the restaurant was closing for the night. I've been to others in the area and this one stays my favorite! read more

Please save your money, do not come here! Payments were weird, the restaurant only accepted cash and zelle no card payments. Food was terrible, I took a couple bits and struggled to finish my plate. Soda machine was also out, very disappointing. Don't trust these 5 star reviews on the app, you will end up dissatisfied. read more

Do not come here!!! Me and a couple friends had seen the great reviews on this restaurant, and decided to come give a try. When we ordered the food, the only payment they took was cash and Zelle which was a little confusing. The food portions were great, but the taste was awful the pork was rubbery and the chicken was slightly undercooked with a lack of flavor. The soda machine was also out which was very disappointing considering I had to pay for a drink. So please save your money and find a different Chinese cuisine in this area. read more

The Wok is a Diamond Bar favorite! It's been in our town for decades and we all love it! I find it interesting that all the low rated reviews are people who live in places like Los Angeles, Hesperia etc... which is an hour plus away and they're coming all the way out here for this hole in the wall for lunch- sounds like they're full of it! The portions are huge, the prices are low and have only changed their prices a few times in the last few decades. The owner is super nice and the food that they make is great in terms of fast Chinese food. It is cash only, but you can go over to Albertsons for the atm. read more

The crunchy salt and pepper chicken tastes really good along with some of the other items. I would recommend 100%.

The Won Ton soup is delicious! My go to for cold weather. I'm a fan and have been eating at this restaurant for 22 years. It's a popular Chinese restaurant in our community and is usually busy. Prices are reasonable and fair given the amount of food on any plate you order. You can literally order a two item plate and it's enough for 2 people or 1 adult and 2 children. Restaurant style decor is casual cafe-like. Well lit and usually clean. This is a mom and pop restaurant and we'll supported by Diamond Bar residents. read more

I've been coming here for the past ten years and not much has changed. The Wok has consistently provided delicious and affordable eats! The cha siu is juicy and flavorful. It doesn't have too much fat on it. It's a popular dish because it's sold out half the time I go. They're constantly churning it out, but its a bit of a wait if they're sold out. My kids love their orange chicken! Their beef and broccoli and mushroom chicken are solid choices as well. The staff is always friendly. They really load up your box to the brim! I catered orange chicken for a potluck and it was a hit at the party. read more

A local fast-food Chinese spot named Wok Restaurant. This is in the same plaza as the Albertsons location in Diamond Bar. I have come here maybe three times in the past decades that I have lived here. But every time I do come here I was just craving some food like this. The lady here packs it to the max and you can pick two or three items with either rice or chow mein or half and half. I love the noodles here because I use red chili paste from my fridge to stir it in and it's nice and spicy. If you don't like spicy you can add some soy sauce that is also going to give you that saltiness. If you have it the way it is you might think it is too boring. But overall this place is nice and the price is super cheap. One order can for sure feed two people! read more

The food was amazing and so delicious. Also, the service was really good and I had an amazing experience here.

I hit this place up pretty often and it's great for Chinese take-out for reasonable prices for either lunch or dinner. If you want to have a filling meal in one sitting, you can go for the personal bowls, but the combo plates are where you get the best value in my opinion. It's usually the same people helping at the front and they are very friendly. If you're looking for an orange chicken style dish, I recommend the sweet sour pork as that's consistently tender whereas the tangerine chicken I find can sometimes be tough. I've tried all their other dishes and I've always been satisfied. Their consistent service and food keeps me coming back whenever I'm in the mood. read more

This is the premier Chinese fast food spot in DB. The store is old and they don't take credit, but the food is what you want and expect from a mom and pop Chinese food restaurant. Been coming here for 20 years and not much has changed. They pack your plate and keep you satisfied, because the food selections are delicious. We have also ordered catering trays for parties in the past so just a consideration if you are having a get-together. Enjoy! read more

Wok Restaurant serves Chinese fast food located in the same plaza as Albertsons in Diamond Bar. They're cash only. The menu is on a brightly lit screen that looks like it hasn't been updated since the 90's. And if they did update it, they used white tape with marker to update the prices. I ordered the Two Entree Combo with Chow Mein, Tangerine Chicken, and Beef Broccoli. The Chow Mein had great noodle texture, chewy, and bouncy however it was overly starchy as it had a starchy aftertaste. The Tangerine Chicken had great tangerine flavor except there was a heavier ratio of batter compared to the chicken. Some of the pieces were chewy. Great savory flavor on the Beef Broccoli. Most of the beef was chewy and some were tender. Some of the broccoli was super crunchy, others had a softer bite to it. They pack it and I mean packed to the point where some of the noodles were dangling out of the box and onto the metal counter. Cashier used the same gloves she used to handled the tongs to handle the money. Good ol' slimy cash. Service was pretty good. Cashier was friendly. Food was alright, I wouldn't make it a rush to go back. read more

Wok Restaurant - Chow Mein, Beef Broccoli, and Tangerine Chicken - Chinese Near Me - Diamond Bar, California

Just look at the size of our box. It is literally overflowing. Food tastes amazing, authentic and fresh Chinese food (better than Panda Express). Their service is great, as you ask for an item, and they heap it into your box. This is a no-frills Chinese restaurant, which is just my type of place. My friend and I had just come back from a long 50 mile biking trip, and this is exactly what we needed. We were absolutely ravenous, and we still couldn't finish the boxes that they gave us! That's an absolute win. Definitely recommend, and coming back. read more

Great food for such a great price! If you're ever looking for fast food Chinese food, this is the place to go! Authentic, yummy, and cheap. I have to write a review for this mom and pop shop because my family has been coming here for years! They are so sweet and kind and give incredibly huge portions to everyone. Cash only! I stopped by this place today based on the reviews. We got the main combo and it was packed with food! The price was fair for the amount of food we got. Sadly, it smelled so good but had no flavor We took it home and tried to doctor it up but it just wasn't where it should be. read more

A big plate of food for a very reasonable price! They are extremely generous and kind! Only thing I wished was that I came with a fortune cookie haha! Flavors are great! TLDR: Great food, easy parking, CASH ONLY. I've been driving and exploring local restaurants, and Wok is one that caught my eye. It's always on the drive home, and it was tucked away in a plaza, giving me hopes that it would be a hidden gem. The Yelp reviews were great, and it was similar the Panda Express, where you can pick entrees and rice / noodles for a to-go box. As a result, I wasn't expecting too much. For an experience that is nothing fancy, I have to admit that I can see why this Wok is 4.5 stars. I ordered the orange chicken, BBQ pork, and pepper steak with half-and-half of rice and noodles. They are extremely generous on their portions, but be aware that they are cash only. Although that made it slightly inconvenient, it wouldn't be a deal breaker to visit. The orange chicken tasted perfect, the pepper steak was delicious, and the BBQ pork tasted well, too. None of the meats were overcooked, and the orange chicken breading was not excessive. ** I have to admit, if Panda Express were the standard to compare to, Wok easily blows them out of the water in portion size and taste - no hesitation at all with this statement. ** Ordering was quite easy, and I saw the lady working that night cleaning the restaurant and running the front while the cooks ran the kitchen. I decided to dine in, and she even offered me chopsticks and a cup of water which was a kind and unexpected gesture. At about $10 cash for the amount of food, it would be hard not to return again. read more

Wok Restaurant - 3 Item Combo! (Tangerine Chicken, BBQ Pork, Pepper Steak) - Chinese Near Me - Diamond Bar, California

Cash only. I did not feel good after eating here. The prices are very reasonable, but the quality also reflects the price. This is a takeout place, there's no seating. Everything is premade in different trays. Came here to get quick grub one day. Got their lunch special bowl which is $6.50. Only one choice of entrée, and it comes with either fried rice or noodles. Also got a one item combo for $9.50. The portion sizes are huge, which is nice. However, the quality reflects the price. I had major heartburn symptoms, and did not feel very good at all after eating the food here. Needless to say, if you have a strong stomach and can tolerate the salt and the grease, by all means. I probably will never come back again. read more

The family and I have been frequenting this friendly family run takeout spot ever since we arrived in Diamond Bar, in 2000. If you're seeking elevated concept Asian fusion then keep on driving right past the Albertson's that anchors the shopping center where this little gem is nestled. However if you wanna feed the kids and wifey simple but comforting Chinese food, all served in Bunyanesque sized portions guaranteed to flex your biceps as you ferry three or more 3-item combo platters to your car? All for no more than a Hamilton, per titanic platter?! Sheeeeeeeeeiiit. This IS your spot!! Greatest hits? The orange chicken, tangerine pork, veggie-dense broccoli & beef and earth-shattering BBQ pork. Pro tip- Order a duo of their vegetable rolls for delightful, peppery treat encased in glass-like crunch! Desire a helping of inspiration alongside your Kung Pao Chicken? Try this on for size- The proprietors have singlehandedly put all three of their kids into med school on the merits of twenty-plus yrs of hard work. If that's not the epitome of the American Dream, writ large, then I don't know what is! read more

Service is amazing. Food is the best Chinese takeout around. Been going for years and always happy. Highly recommend

I wish I could give more stars. Been coming here for over a decade. Food is consistently great. Food is fresh and the portions are huge!!! They do not skimp. Everything from the Beef Broccoli and Almond Chicken to their BBQ PORK. I know that every time I go, I'm going to get the same level of consistency. What really sets this place apart is their workers. Super friendly and they make every effort to remember you. As soon as I step In , they already know what I'm going to order. I love this place and can't say enough good things about it. read more

Heard great things about this restaurant from the DB Buzz so I thought I'd try it. Came in and ordered chow mein, broccoli beef and bbq pork. Food was subpar. Service was not friendly. Food portions were not generous. Two-item plate was $11.25 total cash only. I'd rather eat at Panda Express. So disappointed in the Wok Restaurant. Now I know why it wasn't busy during prime lunch time. Not returning. read more

Honestly this gives me upscale hole in the wall Chinese take-out. I absolutely love that they serve bbq pork like the ones you get at the Chinese cafeteria restaurants and your stable side dishes. THEY EVEN DO SPECIAL REQUESTS such as if you want your side extra spicy (call ahead of time tho if you are ordering takeout). Pro: constantly refilling the food unless it's 30 mins before closing. Prices are so affordable: 3 sides and entree $11 + L fountain drink = $14 top Food is pretty fresh for the price Wait time is pretty minimal They usually give you enough food that the takeout tray barely closes. Con: it's not fancy, they have seating inside but it's pretty basic They close early so make sure you order before 8 if u want bbq pork read more

Saw this takeout joint when I went to Albertson's. I got a 3 item combo and I was a bit surprised when the nice lady, very friendly btw, tried her best to pile on the food, which obviously didn't fit. She just kept piling them on. The 3rd item had to be put in a separate box. When I unloaded the extra box, it filled the top of the takeout box (picture taken after I already ate a few pieces). Of course all that food doesn't deserve 5 stars unless it also tasted good. Keep in mind, we're comparing fastfood, not dine in restaurant food. Although it's better than many dine-in places. I ordered the noodle as a base, then added sweet and sour pork, which was delicious, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Next, I got the broccoli beef and teriyaki chicken (no sauce). The beef was tender and broccoli was not overcooked like most places. The chicken was good too, but I highly recommend the sweet and sour pork! Did I mention the lady behind the counter was super nice? Will definitely come back! read more

Wok Restaurant - Broccoli beef, teriyaki chicken, sweet and sour pork, noodles - Chinese Near Me - Diamond Bar, California

Went Here On April 4Th 2025 At 7PM. I Was Craving Chinese And Usually Get My Fix From Panda Express. But Of Course I Wanted To Review The Competitors, So I Did A Yelp Review And Wok Restaurant Showed Up 4.5 Stars. While Checking Out The Competition I Ran Panda Express And Noticed That They Were 3.5 Stars. I Immediately Thought That Panda's 3.5 Stars Was Customer Nick Picking And Individuals Going Into Panda At Non-Peak Hours. I Also Thought About Why The Wok Got 4.5 Stars Which Is Quite High. One Thought That Came To Mind Was The Good Taste Or Lack Of Good Taste Of The Locals In Diamond Bar, And Were They Willing To Trek Outside The Area To Try Others Instead Of Just Handing Out 4 Stars. Many Times, Certain City Dwellers Just Don't Know Good Cuisine Cause They Do Not Get Out To Other Areas. So They Have Nothing To Compare So They Give It An Elevated Value Based On Nothing. One Must Always Process This When Seeking Out Other Cuisine Options. So, With Some Thoughtful Concerns, I Jeopardized A Visit To Panda Express During The Peak Hour Of 7PM To Try This Mom And Pop Chinese Fast Food. Upon Arriving At The Wok, The First Thing I Noticed Was Not A Soul Was In The Place. At That Point I Was Seriously Thinking Of Trekking Back To Chino Hills From Which I Came. Right When I Was About To Leave I Saw Two Young Kids Go In At Separate Times. I Then Decided To Try It Since I Came This Far. Upon First Glance At The Items, It Appeared That They Had 2-3 Additional Options That Panda Doesn't Have or Only Has At Different Times Of The Year. I Informed The Server That I Wanted a Large Combo With Only Noodles And Tangerine Chicken. She Commenced To Pile Large Portions of Each Item To My Delight. I Also Ordered a Steak Entree, As Well As Chicken Teriyaki. Pretty Much What I Usually Order at Panda. When I Tried The Food, I Noticed It Was Not Hot, Which Panda Is 98% Of The Time. I Immediately Noticed That Their Noodles Were No Where Near As Good As Panda Express In Chino Hills. Overall, The Taste Of Each Item Was Rather Bland. Panda's Items Are More Tasty. As For The Teriyaki Chicken, Once More, Not On Par With Panda Exp. I Did Not Finish Eating Everything Due To It Getting Cold Quite Fast. I Took It Home And Microwaved It 1 1/2 Minutes And Finished It. It Was Slightly Better Hot But Nothing I Would Trek Back For. The Food Is Good For a Neighborhood Spot But Not Great. It Is On The Average Level. I Suppose, If You Came Here Friday/Saturday At Peak Time, It Would Probably Be Great. As For Leaving Your City To Eat Here, I'd Say No. read more

I was on the way home and desperately needed something quick to eat. Arriving around closing time, I was very optimistic. I opted for a 3 entree option ($7.55) and with tax + whatever, it's a little over $8 bucks which is relatively cheap. Because it was so late, I figured I had slim pickings and should optimize my options by choosing whatever looked remotely fresh: tangerine chicken (close relative to orange chicken), kung pao chicken + steak & veggies (because veggies duh). Well the rice was no bueno bc it was v dry from sitting out in the heap lamp, but the chow mien was fine. The worker heaped on mound after mound of food - in fact, there was no space left in the styrofoam carton for my third menu option that she had to get a separate cardboard container! Food was very good and lasted me several days. I think it's a very good bang for your buck - not overly greasy and despite ordering late, I didn't feel like I was getting gross leftovers. read more
