I've heard so many nice things about her from my SIL and I'm so glad I finally had the chance to meet her because she is super awesome! FYI, didn't eat here inside but I did pick up a order and the chef from the window was spitting into where I'm guessing is the water runoff. It may be flowing water but it's super close to the wok... not sure if that's sanitary or legal . If you're the business owner maybe speak to the employee. read more

Service was good. Good r&r music. Came here on a whim. The place similar to this had a long wait so we decided to come here instead. (Same plaza) food was good although the eggplant, mussels and vermicelli scallop all tasted the same. (Same sauce) kinda too saucy for my liking. Also, they cook the skewers in the back and there's this "grill" on the table but it's lit with tea lights. So some of the skewers came out warm not hot as it would on a grill. read more

This place is so bomb! We ordered a mix of everything and nothing disappointed. The skewers had that perfect char, and the spiral potato was the ultimate crispy snack. Quite decent for charcoal grilled skewers, located in a very popular plaza in Rowland Heights. Quality and quantity aren't particularly memorable, and if you prefer table-side grilling you won't find that here. Grilled eggplant was a tad slow to come out but was well seasoned (if you like garlic!). Not quite sure why they put already cooked food atop a little serving dish with three tea lights burning in it but maybe that's their thing? The serving dish even has a piece of paper atop it to absorb grease so you know it doesn't get very hot. Service is great if you speak Mandarin but a bit more uneven if you don't. Skewers and food were delicious! My table ordered the Beef brisket, lamb belly, pork belly, and mini yellow croaker skewers. I really enjoyed the bacon wrapped enoki mushroom skewers for their flavor and texture. We also got the garlic scallop vermicelli and grilled eggplant which were tasty, hot, and fresh. Came here on a Saturday night. The restaurant was about half full, but unfortunately the service and skewers were disappointing. First, we noticed every other table had sunflower seeds except ours. We didn't realize they were something normally provided until halfway through dinner when we went to the restroom and saw everyone else eating them. It would have been nice if they had offered them to us as well. Tables seating before and after us all had sunflower seeds, just not ours. Second, we ordered the Korean cold noodles. The dish came out looking different from the photos, and when we asked about it, we were told they had run out of eggs and the meat in the pictures is not representative of dish. It would have been helpful if they had mentioned this when we ordered. They did offer to remove it from the bill when we asked, which we appreciated, but by that point we had already finished most of the noodles. And I didn't want to get a free bowl over half an egg. Third and fourth, no one offered us water when we were seated, and it took a while to flag someone down to get some. And no one turned on our candles until we got our cold food and realize the candles were out. Pretty much everything a waiter is supposed to do when they seat you at a table (Sunflower seeds, offer water, turn on your candles), the waiter did not do for us. Skewers are generally made to order so they should be hot off the fire when they come to the table. But in this case, they came out warm, almost cold. However, the eggplant and duck blood dishes were quite good. Overall, the food had some highlights, but the lack of communication and attention from the staff made the experience less enjoyable than it could have been. read more
