You know the chef really cares about the quality of food and that's so important when you're eating seafood. The mala spicy crab was the star of the show if you like spicy. The numbing spice was addictive and spicy! I really loved the egg yolk crab if you don't like spicy. My husband's favorite things were the egg yolk crab and the fried rice. He said it was on the of the best fried rices he's had. He even encouraged me to ask for the recipe from the chef. Hahaha. Needless to say we will be back for the food! It's a casual dining restaurant where people eat family style. It's a restaurant where you eat with your hands. They provide gloves so your hands don't get spicy so keep that in mind. I love the side veggies, potato and rice cakes. The Spicy Duck Blood is so soft and fresh that it's like tofu! One of the best I've ever had. The Stinky Tofu is crunchy on the outside and soft and aromatic on the inside. The Taiwanese kimchi that comes with it are spicy and compliments the Stinky Tofu. We were there on Saturday. We ordered the stinky tofu with kimchi, bullfrog, and crawfish. The stinky tofu with kimchi was tasty, but it was quite expensive. However, our bad experience didn't end there. The bullfrog seemed to have been frozen previously, resulting in poor meat quality that was difficult to chew. It was severely overpriced at $78 for frozen bullfrog. Lastly, we opted for the spicy crawfish with noodles, following the recommendation, but were shocked when our food arrived. We paid $10 for the noodles and received instant noodles on top? The worst part was the crawfish itself. Around 70% of the crawfish were alive but lacked flavor, while the other 30% were dead and starting to rot. They hadn't properly cleaned the crawfish, which is unacceptable considering the high price we paid for the dish.
