Bulgogi sandwich
Michelle T.

They were offering a buy-one-get-one-free promotion where you purchase any sandwich and get a ham or bacon sandwich for free. The sandwiches are large, and the meat is placed on the top half while the bottom half is just egg. Everything is made fresh to order. You order using a kiosk and then wait for your food. There weren't many people on the grand opening day, so it wasn't too crowded. They offer indoor dining and takeout. Parking is available in a shared parking lot.

OG Bacon with Green Tea Passion Fruit
Wendy G.

This was my first time having Korean egg sandwich. Ordered the OG Bacon egg sandwich which can be quite messy so have plenty of napkins on hand. The bread was nicely toasted & fluffy. The sandwich is very shareable that I wasn't able to finish it so I had it for dinner. My only critiques would be the bacon, I was hoping it would be crispier, and the sauce was on the saltier side. The passion fruit green tea I ordered was tasty with the right amount of sweetness. Other than that the owner (I'm assuming) was very nice & friendly. I would definitely return to this establishment with other family members since I would like to try their apps which look tasty.

I got the corn cheese bulgoi fries & they were amazing! Also had the strawberry tea with jasmine green tea Definitely recommend trying . This place is still new and they did not disappoint, will definitely be coming back to try their sandwiches next .

5 stars for Mansae! This place just opened up a few days ago in the Haven City Plaza, and I had to give it a try. My meal was very palatable and tasty - the beef bulgogi egg sandwich was to die for. I will be back to try more things from their menu! Service was really good as well ~ this place is owned and operated by a son and his parents. Please come by and support!!

Pork belly & egg sandwich

So worth it! For $13, i was definitely not expecting my sandwich to be this huge & it was super delicious. Their pork belly was super tender & well seasoned. Staff there was also very friendly and I appreciate how clean the place was. Will definitely be back to try their other sandwiches!

Beef Bulgogi Egg Toast Sandwich

Phenomenal. The eggs are so soft and the meats are well seasoned. I know I will be coming back. You have to get the Beef Bulgogi egg sandwich!

Wow I was completely blown away not only by the incredible flavor profile and generous portion size but by the amazing hospitality shown by the owner! Super clean and fun vibe inside. Can't wait to come back!

Bulgogi sandwich, bacon and cheese sandwich

Amazing food! This spot just opened in in the haven city plaza and it's so flavorful and fluffy! Their sea salt ice tea is amazing as well and I'd highly recommend this tasty sandwich to anyone in the area!

When I asked she had only charge me for a single one which was fine but another worker had to come check the order for me and explain the mix up. Got the cold noodles, I liked that the ice added to the noodle was iced broth so it didn't water down the soup. There's no meat at all, just cucumber, radish and half an egg. The noodles were gummy and stuck together in a giant clump which made it hard to eat. For $17 with no meat and overly soft noodles, this was not worth it. The cheese coin was a total disappointment. It was mostly mochi like breading and very little cheese that didn't have any pull to it. Not sure what cheese they used but it's not anything like the ones in Korea. The hotteok was the biggest disappointment and I'm glad they messed up and only charged me for one. It came like the cheese coin which was my first inkling something is wrong. The inside was also mostly mochi chewy bread with a very thin layer of something that is only a little bit sweet. Absolutely nothing like a real hotteok and did not look anything like the picture on the menu. This is a one and done for me.

We ordered at the self-serve kiosk and the restaurant has a variety of yubu flavors including Fresh Salmon, Grilled Bulgogi and Garlic Butter Crab to choose from. We decided to grab a variety of flavors and ended up with an order of 14 yubus. The yubus are individually priced ranging from $5 - $7 each. I'd say about 3-4 yubus are good per person for those with a relatively decent appetite. Our order took a little over 15 minutes to prepare, but the yubus were fresh and delicious. While there's no outdoor seating available, there is a good amount of indoor seating present and I appreciated the bright open space. Given that you order at a self-service kiosk, don't expect much service though. I think the service, or lack thereof, was the only disappointment of the establishment. Otherwise, it's good little place serving up yummy finger food options.

Perfect space for families with children, in the summer! It's a similar concept with Blossom Market in San Gabriel but way bigger. There's a variety of food vendors, which is great. Unfortunately, I was quite limited due to my food allergies. But I was able to get some grilled salmon from Kai Don. Staff here were friendly and helpful. I would recommend that they don't overcook the Salmon though, because it can get too dry. Otherwise, it was tasty, with several different sauces available. There was a sushi bar, with interesting rolls but not Japanese run, and they don't use Panko batter for their tempura...so it made the spider roll a bit too dense. For those that like burgers, pizza and beer, there were several vendors. I'll have to come back to try the other vendors soon!

However, the staff seems to always be short handed so service can be hit or miss though the managers step up to help. The place apparently had a remodel since covid and looks much brighter and nicer now. It's a more pleasant dining experience and actually feels like a modern restaurant now instead of a 90's nightclub. The food quality and selection were impressive to me for a lunch menu. I always love how Gen has the excellent and rare Red Wine Pork Belly. Their brisket is great as always (especially in this economy with beef prices soaring!) Plus, to my surprise, they had steak for lunch. I also enjoyed the Soondubu-jjigae & the Japchae that came with my rice. (Personal KBBQ Hack: Order a bowl of salad with no dressing to use as a bowl and to make sure you don't die on the toilet later). Finally, I think that the food quality is just fine for the area. Parking is a real nightmare though. Navigation is even worse. You have to turn against double yellow lines in a confusing area that may cause you to miss the entrance once or even twice! It can get very crowded though it's not far from the freeway. I was also able to ask for some samples for the Aioli, Salad Dressing and the Brisket Sauce. The sauce was nothing to write home about, seemed like almost the same thing as what you'd find in H-Mart with a hint of garlic. Maybe it's worth getting if you're too busy to make any at home, but if you're already doing KBBQ at home then... you know? The Salad Dressing was also... fine? It's good for what it is, but it's not remotely worth the price they're asking. Still, they gave me a nice paper bag when I asked for one. The Aioli though? Worth every penny and goes on all sorts of things. Just be careful trying to put it in any soups All in all, a good KBBQ place with great prices.

We ordered their Bulgogi Gimbap ($10.49). The food was ready really quickly, but it tasted on the cold side, making me think that it was mass produced in advanced. The cross sections were really organized and they must have a sharp knife cause it was cleanly cut. The taste was pretty good. I would have liked it more with egg. It was a nice balance of sweet, savory, and sour with some pickled vegetables. Nice snack option in the Haven City Market West Covina. I would consider coming back to try the topokki when I have a better appetite.

(Important Note: The location only accepts card and contactless payment. No cash.) The Rose Topokki's broth is creamy, starchy, and well-seasoned. Also, the dish is not too spicy; it provides a welcomed kick. However, the dish is comparable to a flavorful large snack instead of a filling meal. There will be a lot of Tteokbokki chewing. I can understand the Rose Topokki's appeal, but this type of snack isn't for me. I arrived on Monday (around 8PM). Thankfully, the parking lot had many open spaces this evening. Jaws Topokki (West Covina) had no wait as its front staff member stood quietly. Staff is welcoming and helpful. After ordering, I was provided an electric pager to signal when my food was ready. My order was completed within eight minutes. Jaws Topokki (West Covina) is located in the Haven City Market. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Both areas are clean. I selected outdoor because the inside felt stuffy. Also, Haven City Market tends to play a lot of American Pop and/or Country Music. Overall, Jaws Topokki (West Covina) is a wonderful choice if you're craving Tteokbokki/rice cakes. This location prepares it well, and it's a flavorful experience. Just be prepared for a lot of chewing if selecting the Rose Topokki Soup. Solid 4.2 out of 5.

I come from Burbank to get their sweet chili wings. I have tried their lemon pepper and garlic soy, which were also very good. If only we had one closer, I'd probably order weekly. I've had leftovers and after 4 minutes in the air fryer, the wings were still crispy, even with all the sauce lathered on overnight. My last visit was one Sunday in October. I met a friend here to watch football games. It was a good halfway point being I am coming from Burbank and he from Fontana. It was slow enough that we didn't feel pressured to leave because we stopped ordering food and only had drinks the last few hours we were there. We stayed a total of 4 hours. Throughout that time, the staff was only one person, Bobby. He said he was the General Manager of the place. He came out a few times to see how we were doing when he wasn't making orders, which was only a few times. Seems he had a stream of to-go orders and tended to about another 4 tables that came in while we were there. Hard working guy, he ran it all by himself! Taking orders, cooking, answering phones, and the cleanup that goes with it. I was impressed because I got my order in the middle of all that and my wings were nothing short of perfect.

It did take some time for the order to arrive, but we were just catching up since we haven't seen each other for a long while! Once we got our order, we were surprised how big the burrito was lol. We split the burrito in 3 and it was very quite filling. We also didn't even finish our fries. The joint fries was basically like the joint burrito, so everything was quite flavorful. Pretty solid place, but you will feel very heavy after eating! Service was very kind as well.
