Hanshin Pocha is that one restaurant for the late night eats and drinks if you choose to do so. This is not the first Hanshin Pocha I've been to, but this location is pretty spacious and can easily accommodate small groups. We saw a big group of 20-ish that tried to combine their tables, but since they were circular, they wouldn't connect very well. I tried their Spam Kimchi Pancake, Pomegranate Soju cocktail, and chicken wings, in a mild buffalo sauce. I liked the pancake, and it was just the right amount of sourness from the kimchi. It tasted great with the dipping sauce. The chicken wings were dry and small. The promo for it looked better than in person, so if we were to re-order I'd choose a Korean fried chicken. The service is attentive, and the place is great for all types of occasions. In the corner of the restaurant was also a photobooth which I didn't get to check out but might be easy to miss. I'd consider coming back with a bigger group since portion sizes are quite big!
We ordered the pork belly with cheese and the DIY rice ball. It was very flavorful and the cheese paired well with the pork belly. It wasn't really as spicy as I'd preferred but it was still really good. We also ordered the seafood pancake which was pretty yummy! I prefer this hanshin pocha location over the one in LA. The food here is better quality and they offer more deals. Service was good! There was only one server but they were attentive and we received our food within a reasonable amount of time. There is parking in a lot shared with other businesses though the lot can get pretty busy. Would come back!
We stopped by Rowland Heights on our way home from LAX and stumbled upon Hanshin Pocha off of Gale and Nogales, just north of the 60 freeway. There are plenty of eats in the area and we thought this would satisfy our hunger for something hot and satiable - and open late night! After perusing their menu, I was drawn to the steamed egg and, likewise, the rest of our party wanted the same thing. We were only a party of 5 (4 adults + 1 child) so we thought we would order 2 of the steamed eggs and a couple other items. When we placed our order, the server questioned us why we ordered 3 and asked, "Are you sure?" We said, "Yes." After bringing out all our orders, we understood why the server asked his question; the steamed egg dish was a huge portion!!! Whoa! It was really good especially since it was cold outside. We also ordered other items to share like their chicken wings, calamari, and fries with chicken for the child in our party. Parking can be tricky even in the late hours. Overall, we enjoyed the food and the vibe here. It's casual, a little loud, but we were all comfortable and enjoyed the ambiance.

I used to LOVE the ones at DAN SUNG SA in ktown but those were hard to eat because they were grilled and the meat was extremely hard to get from it. Hanshin's spicy chicken feet with soup is great! They also give you or now you need to order the side of rice balls but they do give you bean sprout soup to help ease the spiciness. We also got the gizzard and the whole squid and both were great! It was good to see that my parents enjoyed all 3 items hehe Service was a bit slow but they did look very understaffed. They were friendly though!

We ordered the Spicy Pork n Cheese with DIY Rice Balls which was not only decadent and delicious, but it will also easily fill you up. Service was solid. Waitress met our needs quickly and checked in just the right amount of times to let us yap away. Our environment looks like any bar restaurant youd find in Korea and I particularly like the barrel seats they have it's sick haha. Maybe a lil more dim or neon lighting instead of overhead would make it perfect. Cant wait to come back for the next drink

I went to hanshin pocha quite a while ago. As with going to any shop or restaurant in this complex, the parking is a nightmare but if you go at the right times you shouldn't have too difficult of a time. We ordered so much food for 4 people, but my favorite was the gyeran mari / rolled egg! It was huge!! And it was so good. We also got fried rice, meat pancake, squid, and fried chicken. I thought the rest of the food was good too, but not amazing. I could go back for it if I'm in the mood for this kind of food.
Was craving Korean fried chicken and Tteokbokki so we decided to check this place out. We ordered their Beef belly tokbokki - spice level was just right, the beef belly gave it a deeper flavor although the meat could be a little bit more tender. 4 stars Chili and garlic chicken - fried whole chicken pieces doused in sweet chili and garlic sauce. Flavor is good, I am missing the crunch from the fried chicken. 3.5 stars Boneless fried chicken and fries - fries were hot and crispy, the chicken was not. This would be a great choice for those who enjoy mild tasting food. 3 stars Pork and chive pancake - the pork pieces were seasoned well and tasted great with the chives. My personal preference would be for the pancake to be a little crispier. 4 stars It's a casual dining place with many tables and chairs good for small and big groups alike. Service was prompt and attentive, even though our server was working the dining area and cashier station by himself. Parking can be an issue because of the many establishments in the plaza. Overall 3.5 stars rounded off to 4 for good service.
Located off Gale Ave in Rowland Heights. Parking is shared with the other businesses in the plaza. Parking is a bit tight and not easily to maneuver around. The place is not big but it is opened pretty late. Some of us came here to hang out, catch up and drink after dinner at Tokyo Lobby since they closed at 9:30pm. They also had some food selections as well. The service was good and the staff were good. Overall a good experience here and some good Soju and beer. I only had the soju but my frat bros pounded down the beers and soju lol.
Visited on a Saturday and it surprisingly wasn't very busy. The server was welcoming and friendly. They played K-pop music and had a projector showing the mv. They also have plenty of large tables for bigger groups. The parking lot can get crowded at times. We ordered three dishes, and it took about 30 minutes before everything arrived at the table. The food was your basic Korean dishes.
Korean street food is absolutely amazing! Service is excellent! Ambiance is superb! Parking is a pain though! If you come with a party of 8 or more, get ready to pay about $240.00 total, plus tips.
We got the DIY rice ball, grilled whole squid, and the chicken with grilled onion. The rice ball and grilled squid was good and tasted as expected. I think we interpreted the menu picture wrong for the chicken as we were expecting it to be crispier with grilled onion but it was more of a grilled/stir fry chicken dish. I am not sure if it was due to the method of cooking, but the chicken dish was a bit more dry than we had preferred. Overall, the food was decent and service was not bad.

I went to hanshin pocha quite a while ago. Hanshin Pocha having a location in Rowland means no need to drive all the way to K-Town anymore when I want korean bar/drinking food! I've been to the original location many times so I'm glad to see they expanded. For me the MUST order is the spicy squid and the cheese hot plates! The Rice was also fun to mix and tasted ok. Fried chicken is only alright tbh as the meat was a little dry but it is a good bite that goes well with alcohol! I love how their mugs are all pre-chilled as well. Good late night spot. read more

The food was actually good. This is actually a good Korean chicken spot. The spiciness of both meals were great. They both have their own flavoring The radishes were a must and a plus Free! The salad is weird though. I think they use ketchup on it. The shrimp were delicious.. i'm actually surprised that the food stood warm and juicy the whole time we were there. read more
Thanks to the Yelp community for this delicious lunch that my friend and I had at Hanshin Pocha. We were having a "ladies day" and wanted to get lunch somewhere we'd never been. Checked Yelp and came up with Hanshin Pocha nearby. This place did not disappoint. We arrived about 1:45pm on Saturday. The place was empty. Which we were both thinking, "bad sign." But decided to stay and eat anyways. Since it had gotten some really great reviews by other Yelpers. The restaurant was sparsely decorated. A "no frills" kind of place. We were seated immediately. Water was brought over, and menus were placed in front of us. We decided on the Bulgolgi hot pot and the stir fried udon w/ brisket to share. Both were cooked well, savory and delicious. Very filling. Well worth the price. Will be back to try some other menu items. read more
When I discovered that Hanshin Pocha was founded by celebrity chef Baek Jong-won, one of the judges in Culinary Class Wars, I knew I had to visit. I ordered the Korean Fish Cake Soup and Cheese Pork BBQ entrees to share. I was surprised at the generous portion and variety of fish cakes. The soup tasted delicious and hearty. I really enjoyed it. As for the cheese pork, it paired perfectly with white rice. The mozzarella cheese was nice and gooey, while the pork was full of flavor. The dishes here are perfect to eat alongside some soju. I was impressed with the Blueadeball (sojuball) because it was just the right strength for me. They do offer happy hour specials before 6pm. This place is great for sharing food and drinks for any group size. The service and staff were exceptional. read more

Dont have to drive to ktown for hanshin pocha! This location shares the same parking as chi cha and boiling crab, so be prepared to face a busy lot during lunch and dinner times. I went on a Friday night and did not have to wait. The vibes were lively but not too overwhelming. The chicken cheese is to die for! Also recommend the soju bombs. Its $12 but it came in a large cup and is strong enough to give you a light buzz. Ps for fans of Culinary Wars on Netflix, Judge Paik is the owner of this place! read more

This place has been on my list to try for such a long time! They do have great fried chicken but I would say everything else is pretty normal -- not bad but not spectacular either. One thing that I didn't really appreciate was when we told the lady at the start that my friend had an allergy, she not only forgot but tried to blame us for not asking her if each dish we ordered had said ingredient. They did change it to a new dish without the ingredient after we asked a manager to get involved, but that didn't leave the best first impression. (Yes, I did see the weird looks I got from her and the manager when they were asked to replace the dish when we saw the ingredient in question.) The music blasts pretty loud in here but it does feel pretty reminiscent of a pub, so if that's what works for you, then this is a great place for a casual hang. read more
Was craving some tteokbokki and found this place on Yelp. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the taste and quality! This is a great casual spot to catch up with friends over some good eats! Parking: shared lot with A LOT of other businesses. Spots are a bit of a tight fit if you have a larger car but I was able to find spots right away despite the busy plaza. We arrived around 6pm on a Thursday night and there were plenty of seating but it definitely filled up as time went on. The service here was great! They were very attentive and hustling from table to table. Our cheese fondue got cold and we were able to ask one of the servers to help us warm it back up. BE WARNED THO!!! When the cheese starts getting hot, the oils from the pork belly will start flying all over the place! We had to learn the hard way why they didn't just serve it like that. No seriously be careful because it splashed into my eye and it hurt soooo much. The tteokbokki was delicious! It had the perfect sauce consistency and the rice cakes were just the right amount of chewy. The pork belly cheese fondue does start getting cold rather quickly and I'd recommend mixing it before it gets cold, tho I did end up mixing it into my bowl of tteokbokki and it melted the cheese! I'd recommend this spot if you're in the area and I'm looking forward to coming back! read more

Late night Korean street food? You got me! Ambiance is chill, they have a cool little photo opp section in the back. The drinks are realllly good, I recommend the pomegranate Hongchoball. The service was also really attentive, and the staff is nice! The Hanshin Dakbal is addictive, but the seafood pancake is what made my pallet taste colors, It really is that good. read more
I can't seem to escape K-town even when I try. Hanshin Pocha is a chill place to drink and eat some tasty food. This place is just my jam if I'm looking to go out when I'm visiting my parents. I went on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and though it wasn't terribly busy, it was lively. To eat, we shared the following: -boneless fried chicken with fries ($17.95) -stir-fried squid ($24.95): stir-fried squid with veggies over fried thin noodles -kimchi jeongol ($24.95): spicy stew made from kimchi, pork, and sausage The food here is excellent. I've ordered the stir-fried squid each time I've come here - both with soft and fried noodles - and each time it's been solid. The squid is spicy and flavorful. Pairing it with noodles helps tone down the spice. I also really enjoyed the kimchi jeongol. The broth was tangy and spicy. Spooned over a bowl of white rice and it was the perfect company for a cool evening. They're also very generous with the pork and sausage. Come here for chill vibes and good food. read more

We came in for dinner and it was not busy at all so we were sat immediately. The chicken was very flavorful but the cheese quickly harden after a few bites making it harder and less appealing to eat. The soup wasn't anything out of the ordinary and it felt like just a bunch of random ingredients thrown together in a pot. However, there is also a Life 4 Cuts in the corner of the restaurant where you can take cute photo booth pictures but the lighting is dark and there are limited props. read more

Hashin Pocha is located in a busy plaza. Where there is shared parking available, it was difficult to find parking around 2 pm, especially as it was compact space. After heading inside, it was a bit busy, but I was able to sit right away. There only seemed to be one waiter, so you'll definitely need to be patient. When browsing the menu, everything looked good, and I wished I could order a lot of things on there! My friend and I decided to get the pork belly with cheese, DIY rice ball, and french fries. The rice ball ingredients were given early on, so we were able to make it before the rest of the order came out. The rice ball tasted good and really balanced the saltiness of the pork belly. The pork belly was very flavorful, a bit spicy, and of course cheesy! For the fries, they were crispy and perfectly salty. Absolutely love the food here and would come back again. The service was also really great. Despite having one server, she took our order and brought out the food quickly! There's also a buzzer on the table if you need to ring the staff! The portion for the foods were bigger than expected. Kimchi Jeongol's was sour, which stimulates appetite (I personally really enjoy sour soup). However, the flavor of the soup is strong/salty on its own, so I'd highly suggest eating it along with the rice. The environment was also pretty Cozy, looks like a good place to hangout with friends and drink. The service was fine, waitress came check up on us a few time for the fire. read more
Came here on New Year's day around 8:30pm It was full of ppl but still able to get a table. It's quite noisy inside with k-pop blasting and people chatting. We ordered a fried whole chicken for $19.95. It was quite crispy and not dry. We got a LA Galbi for $28.95, the portion is a bit small for the price. But it was tasty and flavorful. The galbi was very tender. Wish it was bigger or cheapr. We also got a kimchi fried rice for $15.95. It was also pricy for the portion . It tasted good, not too spicy. It's good with the cheese. Overall, we enjoyed dinner here. But one star off for the price. read more

It would depend on the crowd that's there. When I ate there, there was a group of women in the back that were really loud which made it really noisy throughout the restaurant. Otherwise music level is ok.
