    Combo 3
    Andy T.

It was late but my friend and I were debating on grabbing a late night meal. My regret was that we decided on Habibi's Hot Chicken for the food option. The staff were quick to take our orders so that was great. Surprisedly, it was quite busy at midnight. I decided to get combo 3, which consists of a chicken slider, tender, and fries. It was a bad experience immediately as I tried the fries, as it didn't have a lot of flavor and was soft. As for the chicken slider, it was literally all heat with no flavor and dry. At this point, I couldn't bother myself with the tender and the slice of bread. I could only eat the fries with the sauce they gave but that was it. This spot does accept American Express.

First order, Shosho's Loaded Fries Medium with "extra chicken"? :(

On 03/27, we placed an Uber pickup order for two Shosho's Loaded Fries from Habibi's Hot Chicken, a place we've genuinely loved and recommended for years. Because we know how good their chicken usually is, we paid extra to add more to both orders. Unfortunately, what we received was extremely disappointing. Each order had about 8 small pieces of cubed chicken, barely more than what a standard portion would normally include, if not less. To make matters worse, the price of this combo has recently increased. Normally, a price increase isn't an issue, but paying extra for additional chicken and receiving such a minimal amount feels like clear shrinkflation. We placed the order at 10:20 PM, well before closing (2 AM), so it's not like this was a last-minute rush order. We've supported this place for a long time and have always had great experiences, which is why this was so surprising. We're hoping this was just an off night and not a new standard, because we'd love to continue recommending Habibi's, but consistency matters. Photos speak for themselves. Hoping management can make this right.

My favorite food critic,(The wife) and I decided to try out this Habibi's hot chicken spot. Never having been and going off the menu photographs she decided on chicken strips because the photo did not show any sweet sauce on the strips. Well this was a to go order and that didn't ring true. Once home the strips were drenched in sweet sauce. I grabbed the chicken sandwich meal with fries and since I don't have any sugar issues I was ok with it. Next time all sauces on the side!! Fries were not made from fresh and seemed like they were of the previously frozen type. Staff were very nice and service is fairly fast. Where is that Dave's spot?

Reaching out to the 2nd owner

No investigation for a man who was aggressively disrespectful, inappropriate, and asking me violating questions? as a woman, disgusting. I have a recording of the whole incident out of safety. Even the one HOLDING MY FOOD AWAY FROM ME as he was integrating me with his questions, "why did you review me?" "why are you paying from doordash" "how much money?" i have a recording of this man, the photo that i provided, saying his name is Haneen. So no, Not false statements. but since he gave me FALSE information. i will be expanding this claim to more extensive investigation. I actually stopped going to this location after the second time. I have a recording of him calling me a b!tch too. It's time your company does something. Immediately privatizing both accounts after i reached out is disrespectful.Multiple reviews about his behavior. Also, I actually reached out to this company on social media because you guys failed to do anything, you guys rather protect A CREEP than protect any future women. Cool. You guys are weird.

    Just foamed milk

Do not buy the milkshakes , they are straight up milk with powder flavor , overpriced and not a single care to even put a scoop of ice cream in it. It's a hot day and this is very not cool. The sandwiches are alright.

Some of the creamiest Mac & Cheese I've ever had. It was delicious and not overpowering. The chicken was crispy, flavorful and juicy. The seasoned crinkle fries was the cherry on top.

Started off on the wrong foot- I called in the order. They said it would be ready in 10 minutes. I get there- then he 'confirms' the order and puts it in to start. Not cool. The wait was 12 minutes to get my orders. I get back to my hotel room and then I find out they left out the Mac and cheese. Charged for it, but didn't get it. Not cool. The food I did get was picture perfect. Very visually appealing. The chicken was dry. Fries were pretty good. Sandwich was good. Sauce was good. Nothing special. But for that price point, just good is not acceptable.

I came at midnight during some late hours, and the service was quick. The joint itself has a well thought out interior with a laid back vibe. The food itself is really good, I'd actually recommend the loaded mac and cheese, the Mac has a great soft texture that blends well with the chicken and it all tastes amazing. The combo #2 itself was alright, the fries were a tad soggy since I bought my meal for takeout. However, the chicken is very soft and has a good flavor. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a late night bite!

Came here after the movies for a late night munch.. was not disappointed. Pulled up craving some tenders and chose the Shosho fries. The service was great, the tenders usually come chopped up but I requested them whole and it wasn't an issue and I even ordered an extra one. The Mac and cheese looked like Kraft Mac but still solid nonetheless. Next time I would get ranch with it too lol. Ambiance was chill, with outdoor seating. Overall great place for a quick bite.

Zooming in on the tender inside my sandwich on top of some yummy slaw.

Really nice young man at the counter. I loooooove spicy foods. I asked him about OMG level. He asked if I can eat really spicy and I said yes. He said a lot of people think it's spicy. I went with it! Spicy? Yes. I've had spicier, though. It also still tasted yummy. I was in the area and stopped on a whim on a weekday afternoon. No lines at all. It took about...10-12 minutes to get my order. Pretty good deal for the price. I got a sandwich, tender, and seasoned fries. It also came with pickles and slaw in the sandwich as well as extra sauce. The chicken was pretty juicy and the fries seasoned nicely. If I were ever in the area again, I would stop by.

We were very close to going to 3 different food places until I spotted Rostichicken. I remember coming here frequently back in the 2000's when it used to be Juan Pollo. Two years ago it changed ownership. Basically the same menu items, but better rotisserie chicken, according to the chef himself. The man behind the counter said he worked there when it used to be Juan Pollo. His friend had bought the business, and they added something to the ingredients making their rotisserie chickens taste even better than the original. Well, the man wasn't lying. The chicken is freshly made, moist, juicy, tender, and very flavorful. Perfectly seasoned and roasted with a nice brown on the skins. It definitely has better flavors than the boring Costco's chicken. On Tuesdays they offer a deal of 2 whole chickens for $25, a $3 savings. We also got free flour tortillas and salsa. Corn tortillas are available as well. We ordered a small side of potato salad, beans, and 2 extra salsas. Extra salsa in a small container is $1.50 each. A bit pricey as you can get a tub of salsa cheaper at some grocery stores. Our total was less than $40. It fed 3 grown men with still plenty of leftovers. It was a very good decision to get Rostichicken as all 3 of us enjoyed the food. My one friend is extremely picky and wasn't even convinced about Rostichicken. He said he was gonna eat his spaghetti leftovers. But once he tried the chicken, he decided to make himself some chicken tacos. He agreed that the chicken tastes really good. I like my chicken with lemon, because it makes it that much better!! I also ate my chicken with garlic spread (toumiya) that I bought from a grocery store. Perfection!! I prefer dark meat, but their chicken breast is so moist, tender, and flavorful that I enjoyed every bite. This is a fast food place, so very quick service. All he needs to do is cut up the whole chickens and wrap them up. They offer daily specials, so you can find one that suits your family needs. There's a small seating area inside the restaurant, and I have dined in here before a very long time ago. The place literally looks the same as twenty years ago. They do accept credit cards with 3% fees, so it's nice if you don't have cash on hand.

Firstly, the chicken was outstanding. I initially went to order a basic family meal, with the original/regular flavor but the lady mentioned that I should try the spicy next time. Her enthusiasm swayed me to go half on the spicy. Oh my, I was super satisfied with this chicken. The spice wasn't too hot, but there was a slight taste of chipotle and other ingredients that made this, one of the best I've had in this style. The regular chicken was just as good, and other Yelpers described this spot as a more flavorful El Pollo Loco or Juan Pollo. Pretty accurate. The sides were also a hit. The beans were super fresh, and the rice was not greasy like other places. I also enjoyed the potato salad. Overall, I made a decision that this is now my chicken spot, and that I will drive out of my way to come back.

My boys became somewhat addicted to the Box Combo with fresh lemonade over the past couple of years. After every soccer or baseball game I'd swing by and treat them to a meal. We'd easily spend over $100 per week here. Yeah, it ain't cheap! About 2 weeks ago I ordered their regular fare at the drive-thru and headed home. After the boys finished their meals I cleaned up after them. When I checked to see if they had finished their drinks, I noticed something unusual at the bottom of one of the cups. When I pulled off the lid for a closer look I noticed wings on a tiny insect. I inspected the other cup and saw what looked like a small piece of pulp, which I assumed was from the fresh squeezed lemonade. As a courtesy to our favorite eatery, I called Cane's to alert them to this issue. When I relayed my reason for calling and asked to speak to the supervisor in charge I was informed they were unavailable but I could call back the next day. I suggested it would be better for the location manager to call me, and left my name and phone number. I saved the drink cups on my kitchen counter overnight so I could have them handy when the Cane's manager returned my call. The next morning I was disgusted to see several small bugs now crawling around the lid of the cup that had what I thought was pulp. The "pulp" was more likely a birthing sac for these winged bugs! So, I now count the minutes for the call from Cane's so I can share my disgust. Problem is, they never called. Gee, thanks. So fast forward 2 weeks and the memory of that incident is fading when my boys beg to go to Cane's after their ballgame. Yes, this is clearly an addiction. Since they both played great that day I put aside my disgust from our previous visit and get them their usual Box Combo only this time with a Dr. Pepper since I don't want to go near the lemonade again. Ok, here's where it gets absolutely F'd up. After they are done eating I clean up. What do I see at the bottom of the Dr. Pepper cup? You don't want to know!! I call Cane's and demand to speak to the GM. I am told to hold for Marguerite. When I express my concerns she assures me they keep everything clean. I insist on meeting with her asap to show her what "clean" is NOT supposed to look like. I meet her 2 days later on a Saturday morning and show her all the cups, which I held onto just so she could see what my kids had been served up. It's one thing to hear these incidents on the phone but entirely different when you actually see the disgusting proof. She seemed unfazed and asked me, "what would you like me yo do?" I informed her that I shared my experience as a courtesy, the kind of courtesy you extend to a loyal, faithful, long time friend. I suggested she inspect her chain of supplies from the fresh lemonade, paper cup storage, and ice dispenser. Two separate incidents with BUGS in my order is unacceptable. As much as my kids love Cane's in Azusa, we can never go back. With Options right across the street like Chic-Fil-A, Panera Bread, Popeyes, In & Out, Panda Express, The Habit, Cava, etc you must earn our trust and loyalty. That's right Cane's... we buggin' out!! ‍ Do better. Or not.

A couple of things worth knowing before you go - they accept credit cards but add a $1 fee so bring your cash if that bothers you. On Fridays during Lent, expect a crowd because the Catholics hit this place in full force - the place gets slammed. My biggest gripe is the phone order situation. Calling ahead for pick up is a no-brainer since I'm at least 15 minutes away, but on Fridays during Lent they're so busy they often don't answer.
